Chapter 1 The Girl from the U.S
There once was a girl who traveled 500 years back in time through a magical well. Her name was Kagome Higurashi. But this story is not about her. Well in a sense it is, but not really. This is more about another girl. This girl and her friends had a strange obsession and its name is Inuyasha. This girl read fanfics about her hero and even drew pictures. That's all this girl talked about. Inuyasha this, Sesshomaru that. She had all the episodes and her computer was stuffed to the brim with screensavers, wallpaper, and pictures. She had very.... unusual dreams about the hanyou and knew deep down that all of the characters were real. But how was she to prove that?
What is this girls name you ask? Well her friends call her Kat and that is what she answered to. So that's what we'll call her. Her real name was Katharina but that's just too hard to say and she gave up on trying to teach her friends to call her by that name. And it just so happened to be my name as well. This is my story of how my family took a vacation to Tokyo, Japan. And how my wildest dreams came true.

"Mom we need to hurry before we are late for the plane!" That's me yelling at my family to hurry up so we could travel to Tokyo. I was so excited! I couldn't believe I was going to the place where my hero's story took place. I did my research and found out that there was really a place called the bone eaters well and that a family called the Higurashi's' ran the place. I spoke to the mother of the family and arranged a tour of the well. Since my family would be around the area they said I could stay there for the day if I wanted to. And believe me, that is exactly what I was going to do.
I've had my bag packed and ready to go for the past 2 days and inside I had all of my Inuyasha videos and gifts for the family that would be letting me stay at there humble abode for the day. My name is Katharina but my friends call me Kat for short. I'm 17 and totally excited about the trip. I live in a small city called Bellevue. It's in Nebraska, which is in the middle of the United States of America. Nothing exciting ever happens in the city and it was truly dull.
"Katharina get in the car we are leaving." my dad said. He wasn't as excited as I was but all the same happy that I was going to enjoy the trip. "O.K dad I'll be there in just a minute." I told him from the doorway of my room. I had to check to make sure that I had everything. Everything as in all the presents that I bought.
Since deep down inside I knew that the bone eaters well really did work, I was going to jump in to it the first chance that I got. The presents were for all of the characters that I would encounter on the other side.
It was hard trying to find presents for all of them, but I got them all the same. For the girls, clothing, for the Kitsune, candy, the fire cat demon, whiskers kitty treats, the hanyou, a prayer bead ankle bracelet to match his necklace, and for the monk, well, lets just say that I had a special gift for him. I packed all the gifts into a large forest green backpack that I would be carrying along with me.
"Nana we need to go. Let's go, let's go!" my brother Dominick said. He began to sing the "Let's go" song that I taught him when I he was 5. (A/N and he called me Nana because again, he couldn't say my name right.) He sang it every time we went on a trip. I checked my room over one last time before I headed for the rental car we were using to get to the airport in Omaha.

After about 9 hours in the plane sitting next to my brother, we were finally there. I brought my laptop computer with to print out maps of the hotel we were staying at and to download more Japanese pictures of Inuyasha and the gang.
"You missed the turn dad, you had to take the last right." I told my now very frustrated father. "Do you want to drive?" yelled out for the entire car to hear. "As a matter of fact, yes I would."
My father pulled over and got out of the car. I also got out and traveled to the drivers seat with laptop in hand. I checked to make sure everyone was strapped in before I opened my mini computer and began to quickly type where we were and the fastest way to get to were we where going.
A minute later I was back on the road and heading towards the hotel. "I told you I knew where I was going." I told my family. "Nana you did it, you did it!" my brother yelled. We checked in and got settled in our rooms.
'One wondrous month we will be staying in Tokyo. I will have to take plenty of pictures for my friends and buy some cute plushies for them too. I have to print out maps of where we are going and what attractions there will be for the family.'
So I started printing out maps for my father to use and some fun things to do while they are there. Of course I wasn't going because I need to see if the bone eaters well really does work. And if it did, that's where I will be spending all of my time.
"Katharina Luise Maldonado get in bed this instant and turn off that damn computer!" It was my mother. I think she likes getting me in trouble but I wasn't gonna let that bring me down. No no no. So I did as I was told...Sort of. I got ready for bed and turned out the lights all except for my computer.
I had just downloaded new Japanese software off the Internet called Hanyou. I found it very interesting. The program let you scan a picture of yourself and turn yourself into a full-blooded demon or just a hanyou.
Of course I wanted to be like my hero Inuyasha so hanyou it is. I had cute, fuzzy, brown ears on top of my head to match my hair color. Then I turned my eyes a wonderful gold-amber with a slight splash of green. I enlarged my canines and finally lengthened my brown hair. I then put the same markings on face as Sesshomaru. "It doesn't go with it." I said to myself. "I'll just delete those off of me." I clicked and they were gone. 'Much better. I am content for the moment.' I smiled and rubbed my eyes.
I loved the new look so I saved it right before I went to bed.

I awoke the next morning to find to pair of brown eyes right in my face. I yelled and fell out of the King-sized bed that the hotel provided for me. "Morning Nana!" Dominick yelled. "We are ready to go. Where are the maps that you printed out?" He smiled. I wasn't sure what he was talking about. He was only seven years old and sometimes still talked in riddles. That was either happening right now, or it was too early.
"On the table, give them to dad and tell him I'll meet him back at the hotel at 9 o'clock." I made my little brother repeat what I said before I took a shower. After the shower, I opened the closet to all the stuff I packed the night before.
'I wonder what I should put on today? Hmmmm, maybe something red? Nahh, maybe something green? Yeh sounds good.'
So I put on a pair of baggy, green, boys pants and a green t-shirt that had a dragon curling around a motorcycle. I then wrapped a giant dragon hoodie around my waist. I then put on my favorite silver dragon necklace and looked at my self in the mirror. "Not bad Kat, not bad."
I checked over my green pack once more before I put it on my back and headed down to breakfast. I had still two hours before my tour of the well was taking place. So I ate and began searching the shops. I fond some jewelry and a lot of cool clothing but not one Inuyasha t-shirt or plushie. "I guess Inuyasha isn't as big here as I thought it would be." I mumbled to myself. I was a little disappointed at this but I was in Japan and had a half an hour before my tour.
I began walking to the Higurashi's home when I suddenly felt a violet shiver run through out my body. At first I thought I was going to have a seizure but it stopped just as fast as it started.
' That was odd. I wonder what could have caused me to freak like that?'
I was finally at the bottom of a long line of stairs that led up to the Higurashi's home. I had ten minutes left so I decided that I would be all right if I was a few minutes early. Suddenly my cell phone rang.
"Hello Kat speaking."
"Katharina what did I tell you about calling yourself Kat?"
"Ohh hi mom what do you want? I am about to go on the tour I was so skied to go on so make to fast."
"Don't you dare tell me to make it fast I will talk as long as I want."
At that I hung up and turned of my phone. "She needs to take a chill pill." I said out loud. I finally made it to the top of the stairs and looked at the wonderful house in front of me. On the porch was a women who looked about the age of thirty-two. "Hello, you must be the young lady I talked to an the phone a few weeks back. Am I right?" "Yes my name is Kat." I bowed in front of the women. "I am Mrs. Higurashi." she also bowed. "So are you ready for the tour?" "Yes, I am. I have been looking forward to this for a long long time." She smiled and began to walk toward the front door. She gestured for me to follow so I did.
"You have a wonderful home Mrs. Higurashi." I said as looked over the pictures of her family on the wall. "Why thank you. If you come with me to the kitchen, I will introduce you to the family." She led me to the kitchen and told me to sit down. "This is my son Souta and my father." A young boy that looked about ten came to me and shook my hand. "Hi." he said with a large smile on his face. "Hello Souta I'm Kat." "It's nice to meet you Kat." he said and sat down in the seat next to me.
Next came an old man who looked to be about seventy-five. "Hello there Kat it is nice of you to come and visit. Just call me grandpa like everyone else." "Hello.... Grandpa and you're welcome for coming." I gave him the best smile that I could before he sat down across from me.
"Mrs. Higurashi?" "Yes Kat." "I noticed that you have a lot of pictures of a young girl about my age. Who is she?" Mrs. Higurashi stood there for a moment then said. "That is my daughter Kagome. She is out at the moment. You will not be seeing her." At the name Kagome, I knew that my dreams could really come true. All I needed to do was get alone by the well and jump in.
"Are we ready to start the tour?" Mrs. Higurashi asked me. "Yes that sounds good." We left the kitchen to go to a very large tree. "This is the..." "God tree." I stated. "It seems you have done your research. Do you know what supposedly happened here?" I knew she thought I didn't know but I did.
(A/N sorry if that didn't make any sense. I'm kinda confused my self.) "It was said to hold a demon in a sleep for 50 years before a young girl awoke him. The demon was sent to sleep by a priestess because of a misconception. Something about the Shikon No Tama Jewel." I said smartly.
"Yes, very good. Very good indeed. Not many people know about this. Where did you find this out?" She asked. "On the internet." I said blankly. "Well, since there is no need for an explanation here, let us go to he bone eaters well." I followed the women to a well house and down the stairs. She told me some things that I didn't know about the well and answered a few of my questions.
"May I stay and look at the well please? I will let my self out when I am finished." The women thought about it for a while and finally said yes. "What harm can come from it." She stated and left me to my observations. This was the chance that I need. So as soon as she went up the stairs and closed the door, I was ready to jump in. And that was exactly what I did.
There was a flash of color right before I past out.

"Ohh, my head." I mumbled. I awoke to find my self at the bottom of the bone eaters well. "I guess it didn't work." I was very disappointed and climbed out o the well. But instead of finding my self in a musty old well house, I was in a forest. I could feel my heart pounding in my throat." I can't believe it I made it to the past. I'm 500 years in the past." I was yelling at the top of my lungs I was so excited.
Then I heard a footsteps coming to the well. I still had my pack on my shoulders so I waited patiently for the footsteps to come closer. Wait a minute. How can I hear footsteps? I guess I will have to worry about that later." I said to my self.
Inuyasha's POV
"Come on everyone I smell something at the well." "What is it Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. "I don't know. We will find out when we get there." Actually I did know. It was another Hanyou. But that couldn't be right. I was the only mutt around this area for miles and miles. So I had to check it out. It was a female and smelled a lot like Kagome but different. She smelled kinda like me.
There was the clearing and all we had to do now was walk through the bushes. "Inuyasha." It was Shippo. "Inuyasha that person there smells like Kagome and You. What is going on?" "Shippo just be quiet and tell the others to let me handle it." "Fine be that way." Shippo jumped off my shoulder and told that others what was going on.
I was going to get to the bottom of this if it was the last thing that I did.
Back To Kat
' I can smell something funny. It smells like berries and wilderness. What am I saying? I can't smell stuff like that.'
I watch the brush carefully. I could sense something was going to happen. I still sat at the edge of the well waiting for the mysterious person to come out from the surrounding forest. "Ummm. Hello I know your there!" I called out. Then out of know where I see a red flash and feel claws around my neck. "Who are you and what do you want." I knew that voice and was very excited. "Hello Inuyasha. Where is everyone else?" I asked. "How do you know who I am?" Inuyasha asked blankly. "All will be explained shortly. As soon as I find Kagome." I was a little nervous but not too much. I felt the claws return to normal size and Inuyasha released me.
"Come with me." He said gruffly. He led me through the forest to another clearing where camp was set up. I heard a few gasps before someone spoke up. Unfortunately it was Miroku. "Who's your cute girlfriend Inuyasha?" Before Inuyasha could say anything I was up in Miroku's face. "I am not his girlfriend get it right Miroku." "How do you know who I am?" the monk asked, "Like I said to Inuyasha. All will be explained shortly. As soon as I talk to Kagome."
"I'm...I'm Kagome" "Nice to meet you. Your mother is very kind." I stuck out my hand. She cautiously shook it. "How do you know my mother?" Kagome asked. "Here, why don't we all sit down and I will tell you my story." I spent the next hour and half explaining what happened. "And so now I'm here. Any questions?" Yeah, I have a question." It was Inuyasha. "How did you become a hanyou like me?" "What do you mean a hanyou like you? I'm human 100%." I stated. "No your not. Put your hands on top of your head." I did as I was told and felt two dog-ears on top of my head.
"I'm a...I'm a Hanyou!" I said happily. I jumped up and found that I could jump very high. "Sit your ass down and tell us how you became a hanyou." It was Inuyasha again. I quickly was in his face, our breath mingling together. "Don't you dare tell me to sit my ass down again got it?" "Fehh" was the only response I got. "I think it was my laptop." "Your what?" asked Sango "My laptop, how am I going to explain this?" I looked at kagome for help. "I can't explain what it is really." I started to talk directly at Kagome.
"Do you have a computer at home?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "Have you heard of the program call Hanyou?" She nodded her head in a yes again. I opened my pack and pulled out the laptop. I started the program and showed them my saved a hanyou form that I made. "Is this what I look like?" Everyone nodded.
"When I went through the well I guess the program turned me into what the last saved document was. But the question is, how long will the transformation be?" I sat there pondering this for a moment before I felt a weight on my shoulder. "Hello Shippo." He stared at me for a moment before he asked a very good question. "What is your name and how do you know ours?"
"Well to start my name is Kat and the way I know all of your names is because I studied all about you in the future." I pulled out some cd-roms from my backpack that said episode clips of Inuyasha. I popped them into my computer and brought up some of Inuyasha's fighting scenes, Kagome and Sango bathing, Miroku sleeping, Shippo and Kilara playing in the grass, and finally Sesshomaru hugging Rin.
"How did you get these?" asked Kagome. "You know how I told you all that I come from the U.S? Well we have a show there called Inuyasha and it tells the story of how you all are trying to find the Shikon No Tama Jewel Shards. And before I forget I have some special presents for you all." I dug in my pack. I handed Sango a dress that had an embroided flower design. I gave Kilara the Kitty treats, which she enjoyed very much. Next, was Kagome I gave her a some skorts (which are shorts that look like a skirt.) with a matching top. I then handed Shippo some pop and candy. He happily jumped in a tree and began to eat his treats. Then Inuyasha, I handed him a deep green fire rat that I bought on E-bay and an ankle bracelet that matched his necklace. Then finally was Miroku. I grabbed him by the hand and led him out of earshot from the others.
"Miroku here is what I am going to do for you. While I am here I am going to show you how to get Sango to like you. How does that sound?" "How do you know I like Sango?" Miroku asked with a questioning look on his face. "Remember the disk. I have one of you admitting that you love Sango to Kagome. So do you want my help or not?" "Yes that would be much appreciated." He blushed deeply and gave me an unexpected hug. I felt his hand slide down my back going for my butt.
"If you want my help you are going to stop doing that right now. At least to Sango, Kagome, and me. Got it?" "Yes." We headed back to camp. Everyone was changed into their new cloths that I gave them.
"How did you know our sizes?" asked Kagome. "I didn't I guessed. Does it all fit?" "Everyone nodded their head except for Inuyasha. I walked up to him. " I guess it doesn't fit?" "It fits fine." "O.K good." I smiled brightly at him.
"Ummm, Kagome can I talk to you for a moment." "Sure you can Kat. What is it?" I could feel the tears sting my eyes. "I'm afraid." I was now crying. "What are you afraid of?" Kagome asked while rubbing small circles on the small of my back. "I'm...I'm afraid of my parents. I'm afraid to go to the hotel back in Tokyo. I don't know what to do." Inuyasha came closer to me. "Stop crying now. I hate the smell of tears. It stings my nose."
I tried to stop crying but it was hard. I kept imagining my self in a giant test tube with scientists poking and prodding my insides. Which made me cry even harder.
"I have an idea." Kagome said. "Why don't you and Inuyasha come with me to my home and we can call your parents and have them come over. Then we can explain what is going on and find out a solution. How does that sound?" "It sounds like a good plan." I smiled and stopped crying. "Why do I have to come with for?" Inuyasha asked looking really angry. "Because I said so." that was all Kagome had to say to get Inuyasha to be quiet.
With-in the next ten minutes I was ready to go back to the future with my so-called hero and my new friend.

"I really hate time travel." I told Kagome as we came back to the well house. I put my hands back on the top of my head to see if the ears were still there. Yup still there. We all walked inside. Kagome went into the kitchen and told us to wait in the living room. Inuyasha and I sat down next to each other. "You know what?" "Hmm" "You used to be my hero. But you are really different then what my Inuyasha was."
He turned to me and we locked eyes. "Not everything is as it appears to be." I didn't have enough time to reply because Kagome and Mrs. Higurashi walked into the room. "I knew something was different about you." Mrs. Higurashi said. "I'm sorry if I caused any trouble." I said looking down at the floor. "Don't worry about it. You are no trouble at all." She said with a smile. "Do you want to call your parents?" "Yes, I'll do that now." I took my cell phone out of my pocket and dialed my fathers cell phone number.
"Hello this is Jorge"
"Ummm, daddy, this is Katharina where are you now?"
"We're all at the hotel. Why?"
"Go into my room and on the printer there is a copy of where I am and how to get there from the hotel. You all might want to come quickly because we have a...problem."
"What is it? Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm not hurt. Just get mom and Dominick and come over here."
I hung up before my dad could ask any questions. "He'll be here with my family in a little while." I said and began to look at the floor again. Inuyasha and Kagome were deep in conversation and Mrs. Higurashi was staring at the two. Suddenly I noticed a pair of eyes peeking around the corner.
"INUYASHA!!!!" It was Souta. "Inuyasha how have you been? Have you slayed any demons lately? Where did you get that cool green fire rat? Will I ever get to go on the other side of the well? Huh? Huh? Huh?" "Umm hi Souta I have been doing good. No, I haven't slayed any demons lately. Kat over there gave me this fire rat. And no you can't go on the other side of the well." I could tell Inuyasha was getting annoyed.
Souta looked in my direction. He gasped and ran over to check out my ears. "Can I touch them? Inuyasha never lets me touch his ears and they look so soft and fluffy. Can I please touch them? Please please please?" "Yeah, go ahead." I smiled. I never knew that someone could get this excited over a pair of ears.
Souta rubbed my ears in nice little circles. I began to purr deep in my throat because I was very much enjoying it.
' I wonder if Inuyasha likes to get his ears rubbed. I know I sure love it. I wonder what he is thinking right now? What are Kagome and Inuyasha talking about any way? I hope it's not about me.'
Then we heard a knock on the door. I took my hoodie from off of my waist and put it on. I made sure the hood covered my ears. Then I stuck my clawed hands into my hoodies front pocket. "Inuyasha, I have no idea of how my parents will react. So I suggest you are ready for the worst." Inuyasha nodded his head saying that he understood.
"She's right in the living room with my daughter and their friend." It was Mrs. Higurashi she would be bringing my family any minute now. I could feel Inuyasha and kagome tense up for the big moment. It seemed as if it was an eternity before my parents and little brother finally reached the room.
"Hi everyone." I said nervously. My family looked at me and paid no attention to the miko and the hanyou that sat on either side. "What is it that you wanted us to come down here for?" My mother asked. She then looked at Inuyasha, gasped and fainted. "Cool" Dominick said as he rushed over to Inuyasha and sat in his lap. I could feel Inuyasha recoil under my little brother.
"You're the guy my sister is always talking about. She has the hots for you." Inuyasha looked at me and I blushed, turning ten different shades of red. "She draws pictures of you and your brother Sess... Sessy..Sessy-ma-ru." "It's Sesshomaru. What else does your sister do?" Inuyasha smiled at me. I knew that he was going to use this information against me somehow.
"Well, every once in a while when she is asleep..." But that was all he could say before I took a clawed hand and covered his mouth. I picked him up and set him in my lap. At that exact same moment my hood fell off and all hell, broke loose.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You...You look like him!" My father was yelling, my mother was still past out, and my brother wouldn't stop poking my in the head. Inuyasha was yelling at my father for saying that it was a bad thing that I looked like him. Kagome and her Mother where deep in conversation. And Souta was trying to get back to touching my ears. I had had enough.
"WOULD ALL OF YOU PEOPLE JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE MOMENT SO WE CAN TALK!!!" Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me. "Well, what is your explanation for looking like him?" My dad pointed at Inuyasha.
"For one, his name is Inuyasha. Two, I like looking like this. And three, My computer program messed up when I traveled back in time and so it turned me into the last thing that I saved on my computer. It just so happened to be Hanyou program, so this is what I look like. Do you have any questions?"
My mother had finally woken up and she had a question. "Yeah, how are we going to fix this!? I don't what my daughter to look like some freak for the rest of her life!" At this Inuyasha lunged at my mother. "I am not a freak!" He said what needed to be said and left the room.
"Well, my mother and I have been talking and we have decided if it was ok with you, that Katharina stays with us until we get this problem fixed. Because I am sure you don't want your daughter at school getting made fun of and maybe even taken away by the FBI now do you?" Kagome must have been thinking this through because to every apposing answer that she got from my mother she retorted it right back. She had a comeback for everything.
At last they had reached a decision. "Katharina we will miss you please take care." My family left with out a backwards glance. "Where is Nana going?" I heard my brother ask. "She will be staying here for a while, but she'll come back. I promise." My father answered.
"So.... Now what?" I asked. Inuyasha walked back into the room. "Now you come with us to find the jewel shards." I smiled happily at the small group. Really?" I asked Kagome. "Really." She said in return. I hugged Kagome and her mother. Then I cautiously hugged Inuyasha. I could hear him lightly purr.
"So what was your brother talking about Kat?" Inuyasha asked with the biggest grin ever. I blushed again. "It was nothing." I mumbled. Everyone began to laugh. We headed to the well for another trip back in time.

"So Inuyasha, will you be teaching me how to fight?" I asked giving him the puppy dog pout. " If you don't know how to fight then you will be useless to the group. So yes, I will be teaching you how to fight. We can start right now. We'll be testing your speed. Kagome get on Kat's back." Kagome did as she was told. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I grabbed on to her knees for better support. "Now you will race me to camp and GO!" Inuyasha put forth a burst of speed. We were neck and neck until I decided to put it in over drive. I left Inuyasha in my dust and reached camp without any problems.
"That was great. I have never seen anyone go that fast except for Sesshomaru." I set Kagome down and we waited for Inuyasha. I didn't even break a sweat. Finally, Inuyasha came and he looked angry. "What took you so long?" Kagome asked. "There was a lizard youki hiding in the trees. I killed it and got a shard of the jewel." He handed the shard to Kagome and jumped in a near by tree.
Kagome put the shard in a small glass bottle that hung around her neck. "Will Kat be staying with us?" asked Shippo. "Yes she will. said Kagome. "Yay! A new friend to play with!" "Kagome, Kat would you like to go and bathe in the hot spring?" Sango asked waiting for an answer. "Sounds good." I said as I went to my bag to get supplies. I took out some shampoo, body wash, conditioner, the works. The other girls headed over to the spring. "You guys go ahead, I'll be there in a bit." I had to talk to Inuyasha about how I wash my hair if my ears where on top of my head.
"Ahhh, Inuyasha." "What do you want?" "How do I wash my hair?" I whispered quietly so only Inuyasha could hear. Inuyasha laughed out. "Don't laugh! I'm serious." I shot him a nasty look and began to walk off until I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry. I have been doing it for such a long time, I forgot that you aren't used to it. It's easier if you could just have Kagome or Sango do it until you can handle it. Ohh and try not to get too much water in your ears because it will burn like hell." Inuyasha said all this with a smile. I smiled back and headed off toward the spring where Kagome and Sango were located.
Inuyasha's POV
' Gods she is pretty. I wonder if her senses have developed yet. If they haven't then I can spy on them like I always do. But in the short time that she has had them and they are developed, then I am going to have some trouble. I wonder if I should let the monk come with.'
"Inuyasha, I saw the way you were looking at her." Miroku said with a sly grin. "I wasn't looking at her like that." Inuyasha said with same grin on his face. "Are you thinking what I am thinking?" Miroku asked his grin getting bigger by the second. "You know that I am. We have a problem though." "Ohh and what is that." "As long as Kat bathes with them her senses will be getting better and better. Then eventually she will get our scents down and then she'll know what we are doing." Inuyasha was a little disappointed by this because he enjoyed watching Kagomes slick body. Inuyasha was sure Miroku felt the same way because he had the total hots for Sango.
"Let's not waste any time." Miroku said as he headed off toward the hot spring. Miroku and Inuyasha crept behind the bushes and found the perfect spot to watch them.
Back To Kat In The Hot Spring
"Ummm, Sango" "Yes Kat." "Can....Ummm can you please help me wash my hair?" Sango giggled and began to wash my hair being careful not to get to much soap in my ears. Finally we rinsed and the job was done. "Thank you very much Sango." I smiled. Then I heard it. It was faint but it was there.
"Kagome, Sango there is someone in the bushes." I sniffed the air. I noticed Inuyasha's scent but who was the other? Miroku. I whispered to Sango and Kagome who it was. I told them what I was going to do.
"Hey. I'm gonna go back to camp. I'm clean. Sango would you like to use my bathing supplies?" "Yes please that would be nice thank you." "No problem." I handed Sango my supplies and got out of the spring. I heard a slight growl and bent slowly down for my warm towel.
Inuyasha's POV
"Miroku, do you see that body?" I was transfixed I couldn't help but let out a little growl. "Mmmmm" was all that Miroku was able to say. "I think she has a better body then Kagome and Sango put together. She curves in all the right places. Do you think she has noticed us yet?" I asked Miroku. " Yep, she does and no I don't think she has seen us yet because she would have said something. Right?" "Well we haven't known her long enough to tell so all we can do is hope she hasn't seen us yet."
' I wonder if what her brother said is true that she has the hots for me. Maybe if I try to get a little closer to her and get to know he better then I can find out if she does like me and if I do like her.'
I the felt someone next to me. "Hey dog shit what are we looking at?" It was Kouga. "Shhhhhhh!!!" We are spying on our new companion and the other girls." Miroku whispered. "You should look at her she is great." Kouga scooted over to where Miroku was crouching. "I don't see her."
Back To Kat
After I got my towel around my waist, I jumped into a tree that gave me a good view of the girls and the boys. There was a new scent that I did not recognize. I looked over to where Inuyasha and Miroku sat. There, is it Kouga? I silently jumped down behind them without being noticed. "I don't see her." I heard Kouga whisper. "Ahem." All three of them turned around looking very pale. "You were right Miroku she is good looking. But not as good as Kagome." I shot Miroku a warning look. "Hey Mutt you pick some good looking humans to travel with."
I had him on his back and was on him in an instant. "Listen here Kouga. I am a dog hanyou just like Inuyasha so when ever you insult him you insult me. And believe me I am not like any other girls do you got it." All he could do was stare. When I attacked him I dropped my towel so basically I was sitting naked on top of him. I was slightly embarrassed when I noticed what he was staring at. So I got off of him. "Inuyasha, Miroku, Kouga it's rather rude to stare." I went over to my towel and draped it over my bare chest and waist.
"I want all of you to go back to camp. That means you too Kouga. Ohh, Inuyasha and Miroku you too are lucky enough if I don't tell them what happened. " I left them in the state of shock as I traveled back to the spring to get changed. "What happened?" Sango asked questioningly. "It was nothing. My new senses were playing tricks on me. You two can stay here I'm kinda tired from all of the excitement." I went to camp.
"Did you tell them?" Kouga asked eagerly "No I didn't, but if I find any of you spying on us without permission then you are in more trouble then you could imagine." All of them nodded in agreement. "Inuyasha I thought better of you. What happened?" Inuyasha only answered my question with another. "What was up with you showing us your body like that?" "Not everything is as it appears to be." Was all I said with a smile? "I hope you all enjoyed the show because that will be the only time you ever see it. Now Kouga how are you. I'm Kat. Sorry about what happened earlier. I shouldn't have attacked you like that." "It's alright I didn't mind." Now I started to blush deeply.
"How do you know who I am?" Kouga asked anxiously. "Don't worry about it she knows about all of us to even though we didn't tell her anything about ourselves." Inuyasha said. "Oh and Kouga, I want you out of my camp NOW!" "Inuyasha, that is no way to treat a friend. You do know you will eventually need his help to defeat Naraku. So you two better solve your problems now."
"I like this girl that you found." Kouga said. "Hey Kouga. My ask a favor from you." I was anxious to ask my question. "Yes, anything." "For a long time I wanted to know what your tail felt like so I wanted to know if you would let me please touch it?" I rushed out my words. Kouga at the time had his tail curled across his lap and he was sitting in front of the fire. "No ones ever asked me that question before. But I guess there is always a first time for everything. So I go ahead." I squealed in delight. I ran over to him and began to gently stroke his tail. He growled deep with satisfaction. "I like your touch." He mumbled in my ear. "You do? Well you have only let me touch your tail. Just think of what I feel like in other places." I smelt his arousal and giggled. I jumped up to a tree across from camp just as the other girls arrived.
"Miroku, I am proud of you. This is the first time I haven't caught you trying to sneak a peek at us bathing." Sango ran over to Miroku and gave him a hug. He looked at me and smiled like a mad man. His hand was twitching toward her bottom. Miroku looked at me for support. I shook my head no. I could tell he was mentally telling himself the same thing.
"There's a first time for everything." Miroku said as he winked to the rest of the group. " Well I better be heading back to my pack." Kouga smiled and jumped up to the tree I was resting in. "It was a pleasure to meet you." "The pleasure is all mine." I gave him a hug. I could smell his arousal again and apparently so did Inuyasha because he growled menacingly and jumped up on the branch with us. "Good bye Kouga." Inuyasha said poison dripping out of every syllable. "Yes. Good bye.......Inuyasha." Kouga answered with just as much poison.
"I hope we see each other again real soon Kouga." I smiled and waved at him as he and his tornado went through the forest. "I don't think I have ever heard Kouga say Inuyasha's name as long as I have been here." Kagome said amazed. "How did you do it?" "Let's just say that I had a little talk with them both. Right Inuyasha?" "Fehh."
"Well we better get to bed. We are going to see Kaede tomorrow morning." Kagome said as she began to unroll her sleeping bag. I really didn't feel tired at all. But I decided to go to sleep all the same. Inuyasha perched himself in a tree across from me. Kagome and Shippo slept together. Sango slept with Hiraikoutsu across her lap under my tree. Miroku slept the same way with his staff under Inuyasha's tree.
I slept for about three hours and that was it. I checked my glowie watch twenty-seven minutes until midnight. I checked the darkness and found a pair of amber eyes staring at me through the dark. "Inuyasha are you still awake?" I felt my branch wiggle a little under the weight. "Yes, I am still awake. We only need about three-four hours of sleep." "I'm sorry I didn't know." I whispered a bit ashamed. "Don't worry about it. Do you want to walk with me for a while?"
I was surprised by the question but in the end I said yes. Inuyasha and I walked a while through the forest in silence. He led me to a cave that had a wonderful spring inside of it. The water reflected itself in rainbows all over the cave wall."Inuyasha this is beautiful!"
I exclaimed with glee. "I promised myself that if I ever found a female hanyou that I would show this to her." Inuyasha looked like he was somewhere else at the moment so I didn't disturb him.
At last he broke the awkward silence that came between us. "How do you like being a hanyou?" Inuyasha asked with a hint of sadness in his voice. "The truth is, I love it. I love being able to run fast and being strong and jumping high it's fantastic. Why?" "Because I hate it. You have lived as a human for so long that you don't know what it is like to be a mutt. When I was small the other kids would throw rocks at me and the parents would sit there and encourage it sometimes even join in." "Inuyasha I know your story. But that was the past. I know that the past still hurts a lot but sometimes you just need to move on. I mean look at you now. You have great friends who care about you and they don't care if you're a full-blooded demon or not. As long as you be yourself you will be fine." Inuyasha's looked at me with a deep sorrow held in his eyes.
"You are right. I just need to stop feeling sorry for myself and move on." he smiled. "Kat, I have another question for you. What do you really think about me?" I stood there for a moment without any comment thinking about what the right answer would be. I had two options. One, tell the truth of what I thought about him, or two, lie. I liked optioning one the best.
"Inuyasha I think you are wonderful and I also think you and Kagome would make a happy couple. In reality, Kagome loves you but she is afraid to tell you because she thinks you are in still love with Kikyo. And we all know that you love her too. So was that the answer you wanted to hear?" Inuyasha just stared at the wall. "Do you really think that I and wonderful." "Yes I do. I mean look at you. You are hansom, strong, and very kind what girl wouldn't want you?" I smiled and he blushed.
I checked my watch. "We should be heading back now." "Yeah you're right. I'm glad we could talk even though we just met today. I could never talk like this to anyone else." "I'm glad you are willing to talk without me having to pry it out of you. And I am sorry for making you jealous earlier with Kouga." Inuyasha looked at me. "I was not jealous of the wolf. " "OK since you're not jealous then you wouldn't mind if I ask Kouga to be my mate now would you." Inuyasha growled at me.
"As a matter of fact I do mind. You of all people deserve better." "Ohh yes you are right. I should ask Miroku instead." At that Inuyasha tried to pounce on me. "Stay." I said with confidence. Inuyasha stopped in mid air. "What have you done to me?" Inuyasha asked. "Remember the gifts that I handed out. Well the ankle bracelet I gave you is actually prayer beads that act the same way as your necklace does. So when ever I say the word stay, you freeze in whatever position you are in." I smiled. "When this spell wears off I'm gonna get you." "Only if you can catch me." I said with a giggle.
The chase was on. It was five minutes to eight and I ran like a bat out of hell. I followed our scent that we left and made my way to camp. Left, right, right again, left again. I looked over my shoulder. I saw him "Stay" I said loud enough for him to hear. "I'm gonna get you Kat." I jumped through the trees until I saw the clearing where camp was. I saw Kagome making breakfast.
"Kagome say sit! Say Sit!" I yelled out to her. Kagome looked around me and saw Inuyasha coming on fast. "SIT BOY!!" Kagome yelled out. Right after that I yelled out my command "STAY!!" Inuyasha was stuck face first in the ground waiting for the effects of both spells to where off.
"Kat what happened?" Kagome asked. "I was breathing heavily from all of the adrenalin. But I finally calmed down. "Inuyasha and I were talking. I made him angry by saying that I was going to ask Kouga to be my mate. I didn't mean it of course. But then Inuyasha says that I deserved someone better, so I agreed with him and said yeah Miroku." At this both Kagome and Sango broke out in fits of laughter. "I think I would make a good mate." Miroku said not laughing like the rest of us.
"What ever you say Miroku." Sango said between breaths. "So then what happened?" Kagome asked finally calming down. "Well, the ankle bracelet that I gave Inuyasha were more prayer beads like his necklace so when ever I say the word S-T-A-Y, he stops in whatever position he is in. So he started to chase after me so I ran like a bat out of hell." I was still a little out of breath from the whole Miroku joke and all the running.
"Kat we are going to have a very interesting time together." Kagome said. "Yes I agree." said Sango. Moments later Inuyasha came back looking pissed off. "You guys are trying to kill me aren't you? Bitches that's what you all are, mean, nasty ass bitches." "Inuyasha that is not a very nice thing to say to people." Sango said angrily. "It was a joke. Laugh a little." "Hardy har har now let's get a move on."

Chapter 1 The Girl from the U.S
There once was a girl who traveled 500 years back in time through a magical well. Her name was Kagome Higurashi. But this story is not about her. Well in a sense it is, but not really. This is more about another girl. This girl and her friends had a strange obsession and its name is Inuyasha. This girl read fanfics about her hero and even drew pictures. That's all this girl talked about. Inuyasha this, Sesshomaru that. She had all the episodes and her computer was stuffed to the brim with screensavers, wallpaper, and pictures. She had very.... unusual dreams about the hanyou and knew deep down that all of the characters were real. But how was she to prove that?
What is this girls name you ask? Well her friends call her Kat and that is what she answered to. So that's what we'll call her. Her real name was Katharina but that's just too hard to say and she gave up on trying to teach her friends to call her by that name. And it just so happened to be my name as well. This is my story of how my family took a vacation to Tokyo, Japan. And how my wildest dreams came true.

"Mom we need to hurry before we are late for the plane!" That's me yelling at my family to hurry up so we could travel to Tokyo. I was so excited! I couldn't believe I was going to the place where my hero's story took place. I did my research and found out that there was really a place called the bone eaters well and that a family called the Higurashi's' ran the place. I spoke to the mother of the family and arranged a tour of the well. Since my family would be around the area they said I could stay there for the day if I wanted to. And believe me, that is exactly what I was going to do.
I've had my bag packed and ready to go for the past 2 days and inside I had all of my Inuyasha videos and gifts for the family that would be letting me stay at there humble abode for the day. My name is Katharina but my friends call me Kat for short. I'm 17 and totally excited about the trip. I live in a small city called Bellevue. It's in Nebraska, which is in the middle of the United States of America. Nothing exciting ever happens in the city and it was truly dull.
"Katharina get in the car we are leaving." my dad said. He wasn't as excited as I was but all the same happy that I was going to enjoy the trip. "O.K dad I'll be there in just a minute." I told him from the doorway of my room. I had to check to make sure that I had everything. Everything as in all the presents that I bought.
Since deep down inside I knew that the bone eaters well really did work, I was going to jump in to it the first chance that I got. The presents were for all of the characters that I would encounter on the other side.
It was hard trying to find presents for all of them, but I got them all the same. For the girls, clothing, for the Kitsune, candy, the fire cat demon, whiskers kitty treats, the hanyou, a prayer bead ankle bracelet to match his necklace, and for the monk, well, lets just say that I had a special gift for him. I packed all the gifts into a large forest green backpack that I would be carrying along with me.
"Nana we need to go. Let's go, let's go!" my brother Dominick said. He began to sing the "Let's go" song that I taught him when I he was 5. (A/N and he called me Nana because again, he couldn't say my name right.) He sang it every time we went on a trip. I checked my room over one last time before I headed for the rental car we were using to get to the airport in Omaha.

After about 9 hours in the plane sitting next to my brother, we were finally there. I brought my laptop computer with to print out maps of the hotel we were staying at and to download more Japanese pictures of Inuyasha and the gang.
"You missed the turn dad, you had to take the last right." I told my now very frustrated father. "Do you want to drive?" yelled out for the entire car to hear. "As a matter of fact, yes I would."
My father pulled over and got out of the car. I also got out and traveled to the drivers seat with laptop in hand. I checked to make sure everyone was strapped in before I opened my mini computer and began to quickly type where we were and the fastest way to get to were we where going.
A minute later I was back on the road and heading towards the hotel. "I told you I knew where I was going." I told my family. "Nana you did it, you did it!" my brother yelled. We checked in and got settled in our rooms.
'One wondrous month we will be staying in Tokyo. I will have to take plenty of pictures for my friends and buy some cute plushies for them too. I have to print out maps of where we are going and what attractions there will be for the family.'
So I started printing out maps for my father to use and some fun things to do while they are there. Of course I wasn't going because I need to see if the bone eaters well really does work. And if it did, that's where I will be spending all of my time.
"Katharina Luise Maldonado get in bed this instant and turn off that damn computer!" It was my mother. I think she likes getting me in trouble but I wasn't gonna let that bring me down. No no no. So I did as I was told...Sort of. I got ready for bed and turned out the lights all except for my computer.
I had just downloaded new Japanese software off the Internet called Hanyou. I found it very interesting. The program let you scan a picture of yourself and turn yourself into a full-blooded demon or just a hanyou.
Of course I wanted to be like my hero Inuyasha so hanyou it is. I had cute, fuzzy, brown ears on top of my head to match my hair color. Then I turned my eyes a wonderful gold-amber with a slight splash of green. I enlarged my canines and finally lengthened my brown hair. I then put the same markings on face as Sesshomaru. "It doesn't go with it." I said to myself. "I'll just delete those off of me." I clicked and they were gone. 'Much better. I am content for the moment.' I smiled and rubbed my eyes.
I loved the new look so I saved it right before I went to bed.

I awoke the next morning to find to pair of brown eyes right in my face. I yelled and fell out of the King-sized bed that the hotel provided for me. "Morning Nana!" Dominick yelled. "We are ready to go. Where are the maps that you printed out?" He smiled. I wasn't sure what he was talking about. He was only seven years old and sometimes still talked in riddles. That was either happening right now, or it was too early.
"On the table, give them to dad and tell him I'll meet him back at the hotel at 9 o'clock." I made my little brother repeat what I said before I took a shower. After the shower, I opened the closet to all the stuff I packed the night before.
'I wonder what I should put on today? Hmmmm, maybe something red? Nahh, maybe something green? Yeh sounds good.'
So I put on a pair of baggy, green, boys pants and a green t-shirt that had a dragon curling around a motorcycle. I then wrapped a giant dragon hoodie around my waist. I then put on my favorite silver dragon necklace and looked at my self in the mirror. "Not bad Kat, not bad."
I checked over my green pack once more before I put it on my back and headed down to breakfast. I had still two hours before my tour of the well was taking place. So I ate and began searching the shops. I fond some jewelry and a lot of cool clothing but not one Inuyasha t-shirt or plushie. "I guess Inuyasha isn't as big here as I thought it would be." I mumbled to myself. I was a little disappointed at this but I was in Japan and had a half an hour before my tour.
I began walking to the Higurashi's home when I suddenly felt a violet shiver run through out my body. At first I thought I was going to have a seizure but it stopped just as fast as it started.
' That was odd. I wonder what could have caused me to freak like that?'
I was finally at the bottom of a long line of stairs that led up to the Higurashi's home. I had ten minutes left so I decided that I would be all right if I was a few minutes early. Suddenly my cell phone rang.
"Hello Kat speaking."
"Katharina what did I tell you about calling yourself Kat?"
"Ohh hi mom what do you want? I am about to go on the tour I was so skied to go on so make to fast."
"Don't you dare tell me to make it fast I will talk as long as I want."
At that I hung up and turned of my phone. "She needs to take a chill pill." I said out loud. I finally made it to the top of the stairs and looked at the wonderful house in front of me. On the porch was a women who looked about the age of thirty-two. "Hello, you must be the young lady I talked to an the phone a few weeks back. Am I right?" "Yes my name is Kat." I bowed in front of the women. "I am Mrs. Higurashi." she also bowed. "So are you ready for the tour?" "Yes, I am. I have been looking forward to this for a long long time." She smiled and began to walk toward the front door. She gestured for me to follow so I did.
"You have a wonderful home Mrs. Higurashi." I said as looked over the pictures of her family on the wall. "Why thank you. If you come with me to the kitchen, I will introduce you to the family." She led me to the kitchen and told me to sit down. "This is my son Souta and my father." A young boy that looked about ten came to me and shook my hand. "Hi." he said with a large smile on his face. "Hello Souta I'm Kat." "It's nice to meet you Kat." he said and sat down in the seat next to me.
Next came an old man who looked to be about seventy-five. "Hello there Kat it is nice of you to come and visit. Just call me grandpa like everyone else." "Hello.... Grandpa and you're welcome for coming." I gave him the best smile that I could before he sat down across from me.
"Mrs. Higurashi?" "Yes Kat." "I noticed that you have a lot of pictures of a young girl about my age. Who is she?" Mrs. Higurashi stood there for a moment then said. "That is my daughter Kagome. She is out at the moment. You will not be seeing her." At the name Kagome, I knew that my dreams could really come true. All I needed to do was get alone by the well and jump in.
"Are we ready to start the tour?" Mrs. Higurashi asked me. "Yes that sounds good." We left the kitchen to go to a very large tree. "This is the..." "God tree." I stated. "It seems you have done your research. Do you know what supposedly happened here?" I knew she thought I didn't know but I did.
(A/N sorry if that didn't make any sense. I'm kinda confused my self.) "It was said to hold a demon in a sleep for 50 years before a young girl awoke him. The demon was sent to sleep by a priestess because of a misconception. Something about the Shikon No Tama Jewel." I said smartly.
"Yes, very good. Very good indeed. Not many people know about this. Where did you find this out?" She asked. "On the internet." I said blankly. "Well, since there is no need for an explanation here, let us go to he bone eaters well." I followed the women to a well house and down the stairs. She told me some things that I didn't know about the well and answered a few of my questions.
"May I stay and look at the well please? I will let my self out when I am finished." The women thought about it for a while and finally said yes. "What harm can come from it." She stated and left me to my observations. This was the chance that I need. So as soon as she went up the stairs and closed the door, I was ready to jump in. And that was exactly what I did.
There was a flash of color right before I past out.

"Ohh, my head." I mumbled. I awoke to find my self at the bottom of the bone eaters well. "I guess it didn't work." I was very disappointed and climbed out o the well. But instead of finding my self in a musty old well house, I was in a forest. I could feel my heart pounding in my throat." I can't believe it I made it to the past. I'm 500 years in the past." I was yelling at the top of my lungs I was so excited.
Then I heard a footsteps coming to the well. I still had my pack on my shoulders so I waited patiently for the footsteps to come closer. Wait a minute. How can I hear footsteps? I guess I will have to worry about that later." I said to my self.
Inuyasha's POV
"Come on everyone I smell something at the well." "What is it Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. "I don't know. We will find out when we get there." Actually I did know. It was another Hanyou. But that couldn't be right. I was the only mutt around this area for miles and miles. So I had to check it out. It was a female and smelled a lot like Kagome but different. She smelled kinda like me.
There was the clearing and all we had to do now was walk through the bushes. "Inuyasha." It was Shippo. "Inuyasha that person there smells like Kagome and You. What is going on?" "Shippo just be quiet and tell the others to let me handle it." "Fine be that way." Shippo jumped off my shoulder and told that others what was going on.
I was going to get to the bottom of this if it was the last thing that I did.
Back To Kat
' I can smell something funny. It smells like berries and wilderness. What am I saying? I can't smell stuff like that.'
I watch the brush carefully. I could sense something was going to happen. I still sat at the edge of the well waiting for the mysterious person to come out from the surrounding forest. "Ummm. Hello I know your there!" I called out. Then out of know where I see a red flash and feel claws around my neck. "Who are you and what do you want." I knew that voice and was very excited. "Hello Inuyasha. Where is everyone else?" I asked. "How do you know who I am?" Inuyasha asked blankly. "All will be explained shortly. As soon as I find Kagome." I was a little nervous but not too much. I felt the claws return to normal size and Inuyasha released me.
"Come with me." He said gruffly. He led me through the forest to another clearing where camp was set up. I heard a few gasps before someone spoke up. Unfortunately it was Miroku. "Who's your cute girlfriend Inuyasha?" Before Inuyasha could say anything I was up in Miroku's face. "I am not his girlfriend get it right Miroku." "How do you know who I am?" the monk asked, "Like I said to Inuyasha. All will be explained shortly. As soon as I talk to Kagome."
"I'm...I'm Kagome" "Nice to meet you. Your mother is very kind." I stuck out my hand. She cautiously shook it. "How do you know my mother?" Kagome asked. "Here, why don't we all sit down and I will tell you my story." I spent the next hour and half explaining what happened. "And so now I'm here. Any questions?" Yeah, I have a question." It was Inuyasha. "How did you become a hanyou like me?" "What do you mean a hanyou like you? I'm human 100%." I stated. "No your not. Put your hands on top of your head." I did as I was told and felt two dog-ears on top of my head.
"I'm a...I'm a Hanyou!" I said happily. I jumped up and found that I could jump very high. "Sit your ass down and tell us how you became a hanyou." It was Inuyasha again. I quickly was in his face, our breath mingling together. "Don't you dare tell me to sit my ass down again got it?" "Fehh" was the only response I got. "I think it was my laptop." "Your what?" asked Sango "My laptop, how am I going to explain this?" I looked at kagome for help. "I can't explain what it is really." I started to talk directly at Kagome.
"Do you have a computer at home?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "Have you heard of the program call Hanyou?" She nodded her head in a yes again. I opened my pack and pulled out the laptop. I started the program and showed them my saved a hanyou form that I made. "Is this what I look like?" Everyone nodded.
"When I went through the well I guess the program turned me into what the last saved document was. But the question is, how long will the transformation be?" I sat there pondering this for a moment before I felt a weight on my shoulder. "Hello Shippo." He stared at me for a moment before he asked a very good question. "What is your name and how do you know ours?"
"Well to start my name is Kat and the way I know all of your names is because I studied all about you in the future." I pulled out some cd-roms from my backpack that said episode clips of Inuyasha. I popped them into my computer and brought up some of Inuyasha's fighting scenes, Kagome and Sango bathing, Miroku sleeping, Shippo and Kilara playing in the grass, and finally Sesshomaru hugging Rin.
"How did you get these?" asked Kagome. "You know how I told you all that I come from the U.S? Well we have a show there called Inuyasha and it tells the story of how you all are trying to find the Shikon No Tama Jewel Shards. And before I forget I have some special presents for you all." I dug in my pack. I handed Sango a dress that had an embroided flower design. I gave Kilara the Kitty treats, which she enjoyed very much. Next, was Kagome I gave her a some skorts (which are shorts that look like a skirt.) with a matching top. I then handed Shippo some pop and candy. He happily jumped in a tree and began to eat his treats. Then Inuyasha, I handed him a deep green fire rat that I bought on E-bay and an ankle bracelet that matched his necklace. Then finally was Miroku. I grabbed him by the hand and led him out of earshot from the others.
"Miroku here is what I am going to do for you. While I am here I am going to show you how to get Sango to like you. How does that sound?" "How do you know I like Sango?" Miroku asked with a questioning look on his face. "Remember the disk. I have one of you admitting that you love Sango to Kagome. So do you want my help or not?" "Yes that would be much appreciated." He blushed deeply and gave me an unexpected hug. I felt his hand slide down my back going for my butt.
"If you want my help you are going to stop doing that right now. At least to Sango, Kagome, and me. Got it?" "Yes." We headed back to camp. Everyone was changed into their new cloths that I gave them.
"How did you know our sizes?" asked Kagome. "I didn't I guessed. Does it all fit?" "Everyone nodded their head except for Inuyasha. I walked up to him. " I guess it doesn't fit?" "It fits fine." "O.K good." I smiled brightly at him.
"Ummm, Kagome can I talk to you for a moment." "Sure you can Kat. What is it?" I could feel the tears sting my eyes. "I'm afraid." I was now crying. "What are you afraid of?" Kagome asked while rubbing small circles on the small of my back. "I'm...I'm afraid of my parents. I'm afraid to go to the hotel back in Tokyo. I don't know what to do." Inuyasha came closer to me. "Stop crying now. I hate the smell of tears. It stings my nose."
I tried to stop crying but it was hard. I kept imagining my self in a giant test tube with scientists poking and prodding my insides. Which made me cry even harder.
"I have an idea." Kagome said. "Why don't you and Inuyasha come with me to my home and we can call your parents and have them come over. Then we can explain what is going on and find out a solution. How does that sound?" "It sounds like a good plan." I smiled and stopped crying. "Why do I have to come with for?" Inuyasha asked looking really angry. "Because I said so." that was all Kagome had to say to get Inuyasha to be quiet.
With-in the next ten minutes I was ready to go back to the future with my so-called hero and my new friend.

"I really hate time travel." I told Kagome as we came back to the well house. I put my hands back on the top of my head to see if the ears were still there. Yup still there. We all walked inside. Kagome went into the kitchen and told us to wait in the living room. Inuyasha and I sat down next to each other. "You know what?" "Hmm" "You used to be my hero. But you are really different then what my Inuyasha was."
He turned to me and we locked eyes. "Not everything is as it appears to be." I didn't have enough time to reply because Kagome and Mrs. Higurashi walked into the room. "I knew something was different about you." Mrs. Higurashi said. "I'm sorry if I caused any trouble." I said looking down at the floor. "Don't worry about it. You are no trouble at all." She said with a smile. "Do you want to call your parents?" "Yes, I'll do that now." I took my cell phone out of my pocket and dialed my fathers cell phone number.
"Hello this is Jorge"
"Ummm, daddy, this is Katharina where are you now?"
"We're all at the hotel. Why?"
"Go into my room and on the printer there is a copy of where I am and how to get there from the hotel. You all might want to come quickly because we have a...problem."
"What is it? Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm not hurt. Just get mom and Dominick and come over here."
I hung up before my dad could ask any questions. "He'll be here with my family in a little while." I said and began to look at the floor again. Inuyasha and Kagome were deep in conversation and Mrs. Higurashi was staring at the two. Suddenly I noticed a pair of eyes peeking around the corner.
"INUYASHA!!!!" It was Souta. "Inuyasha how have you been? Have you slayed any demons lately? Where did you get that cool green fire rat? Will I ever get to go on the other side of the well? Huh? Huh? Huh?" "Umm hi Souta I have been doing good. No, I haven't slayed any demons lately. Kat over there gave me this fire rat. And no you can't go on the other side of the well." I could tell Inuyasha was getting annoyed.
Souta looked in my direction. He gasped and ran over to check out my ears. "Can I touch them? Inuyasha never lets me touch his ears and they look so soft and fluffy. Can I please touch them? Please please please?" "Yeah, go ahead." I smiled. I never knew that someone could get this excited over a pair of ears.
Souta rubbed my ears in nice little circles. I began to purr deep in my throat because I was very much enjoying it.
' I wonder if Inuyasha likes to get his ears rubbed. I know I sure love it. I wonder what he is thinking right now? What are Kagome and Inuyasha talking about any way? I hope it's not about me.'
Then we heard a knock on the door. I took my hoodie from off of my waist and put it on. I made sure the hood covered my ears. Then I stuck my clawed hands into my hoodies front pocket. "Inuyasha, I have no idea of how my parents will react. So I suggest you are ready for the worst." Inuyasha nodded his head saying that he understood.
"She's right in the living room with my daughter and their friend." It was Mrs. Higurashi she would be bringing my family any minute now. I could feel Inuyasha and kagome tense up for the big moment. It seemed as if it was an eternity before my parents and little brother finally reached the room.
"Hi everyone." I said nervously. My family looked at me and paid no attention to the miko and the hanyou that sat on either side. "What is it that you wanted us to come down here for?" My mother asked. She then looked at Inuyasha, gasped and fainted. "Cool" Dominick said as he rushed over to Inuyasha and sat in his lap. I could feel Inuyasha recoil under my little brother.
"You're the guy my sister is always talking about. She has the hots for you." Inuyasha looked at me and I blushed, turning ten different shades of red. "She draws pictures of you and your brother Sess... Sessy..Sessy-ma-ru." "It's Sesshomaru. What else does your sister do?" Inuyasha smiled at me. I knew that he was going to use this information against me somehow.
"Well, every once in a while when she is asleep..." But that was all he could say before I took a clawed hand and covered his mouth. I picked him up and set him in my lap. At that exact same moment my hood fell off and all hell, broke loose.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You...You look like him!" My father was yelling, my mother was still past out, and my brother wouldn't stop poking my in the head. Inuyasha was yelling at my father for saying that it was a bad thing that I looked like him. Kagome and her Mother where deep in conversation. And Souta was trying to get back to touching my ears. I had had enough.
"WOULD ALL OF YOU PEOPLE JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE MOMENT SO WE CAN TALK!!!" Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me. "Well, what is your explanation for looking like him?" My dad pointed at Inuyasha.
"For one, his name is Inuyasha. Two, I like looking like this. And three, My computer program messed up when I traveled back in time and so it turned me into the last thing that I saved on my computer. It just so happened to be Hanyou program, so this is what I look like. Do you have any questions?"
My mother had finally woken up and she had a question. "Yeah, how are we going to fix this!? I don't what my daughter to look like some freak for the rest of her life!" At this Inuyasha lunged at my mother. "I am not a freak!" He said what needed to be said and left the room.
"Well, my mother and I have been talking and we have decided if it was ok with you, that Katharina stays with us until we get this problem fixed. Because I am sure you don't want your daughter at school getting made fun of and maybe even taken away by the FBI now do you?" Kagome must have been thinking this through because to every apposing answer that she got from my mother she retorted it right back. She had a comeback for everything.
At last they had reached a decision. "Katharina we will miss you please take care." My family left with out a backwards glance. "Where is Nana going?" I heard my brother ask. "She will be staying here for a while, but she'll come back. I promise." My father answered.
"So.... Now what?" I asked. Inuyasha walked back into the room. "Now you come with us to find the jewel shards." I smiled happily at the small group. Really?" I asked Kagome. "Really." She said in return. I hugged Kagome and her mother. Then I cautiously hugged Inuyasha. I could hear him lightly purr.
"So what was your brother talking about Kat?" Inuyasha asked with the biggest grin ever. I blushed again. "It was nothing." I mumbled. Everyone began to laugh. We headed to the well for another trip back in time.

"So Inuyasha, will you be teaching me how to fight?" I asked giving him the puppy dog pout. " If you don't know how to fight then you will be useless to the group. So yes, I will be teaching you how to fight. We can start right now. We'll be testing your speed. Kagome get on Kat's back." Kagome did as she was told. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I grabbed on to her knees for better support. "Now you will race me to camp and GO!" Inuyasha put forth a burst of speed. We were neck and neck until I decided to put it in over drive. I left Inuyasha in my dust and reached camp without any problems.
"That was great. I have never seen anyone go that fast except for Sesshomaru." I set Kagome down and we waited for Inuyasha. I didn't even break a sweat. Finally, Inuyasha came and he looked angry. "What took you so long?" Kagome asked. "There was a lizard youki hiding in the trees. I killed it and got a shard of the jewel." He handed the shard to Kagome and jumped in a near by tree.
Kagome put the shard in a small glass bottle that hung around her neck. "Will Kat be staying with us?" asked Shippo. "Yes she will. said Kagome. "Yay! A new friend to play with!" "Kagome, Kat would you like to go and bathe in the hot spring?" Sango asked waiting for an answer. "Sounds good." I said as I went to my bag to get supplies. I took out some shampoo, body wash, conditioner, the works. The other girls headed over to the spring. "You guys go ahead, I'll be there in a bit." I had to talk to Inuyasha about how I wash my hair if my ears where on top of my head.
"Ahhh, Inuyasha." "What do you want?" "How do I wash my hair?" I whispered quietly so only Inuyasha could hear. Inuyasha laughed out. "Don't laugh! I'm serious." I shot him a nasty look and began to walk off until I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry. I have been doing it for such a long time, I forgot that you aren't used to it. It's easier if you could just have Kagome or Sango do it until you can handle it. Ohh and try not to get too much water in your ears because it will burn like hell." Inuyasha said all this with a smile. I smiled back and headed off toward the spring where Kagome and Sango were located.
Inuyasha's POV
' Gods she is pretty. I wonder if her senses have developed yet. If they haven't then I can spy on them like I always do. But in the short time that she has had them and they are developed, then I am going to have some trouble. I wonder if I should let the monk come with.'
"Inuyasha, I saw the way you were looking at her." Miroku said with a sly grin. "I wasn't looking at her like that." Inuyasha said with same grin on his face. "Are you thinking what I am thinking?" Miroku asked his grin getting bigger by the second. "You know that I am. We have a problem though." "Ohh and what is that." "As long as Kat bathes with them her senses will be getting better and better. Then eventually she will get our scents down and then she'll know what we are doing." Inuyasha was a little disappointed by this because he enjoyed watching Kagomes slick body. Inuyasha was sure Miroku felt the same way because he had the total hots for Sango.
"Let's not waste any time." Miroku said as he headed off toward the hot spring. Miroku and Inuyasha crept behind the bushes and found the perfect spot to watch them.
Back To Kat In The Hot Spring
"Ummm, Sango" "Yes Kat." "Can....Ummm can you please help me wash my hair?" Sango giggled and began to wash my hair being careful not to get to much soap in my ears. Finally we rinsed and the job was done. "Thank you very much Sango." I smiled. Then I heard it. It was faint but it was there.
"Kagome, Sango there is someone in the bushes." I sniffed the air. I noticed Inuyasha's scent but who was the other? Miroku. I whispered to Sango and Kagome who it was. I told them what I was going to do.
"Hey. I'm gonna go back to camp. I'm clean. Sango would you like to use my bathing supplies?" "Yes please that would be nice thank you." "No problem." I handed Sango my supplies and got out of the spring. I heard a slight growl and bent slowly down for my warm towel.
Inuyasha's POV
"Miroku, do you see that body?" I was transfixed I couldn't help but let out a little growl. "Mmmmm" was all that Miroku was able to say. "I think she has a better body then Kagome and Sango put together. She curves in all the right places. Do you think she has noticed us yet?" I asked Miroku. " Yep, she does and no I don't think she has seen us yet because she would have said something. Right?" "Well we haven't known her long enough to tell so all we can do is hope she hasn't seen us yet."
' I wonder if what her brother said is true that she has the hots for me. Maybe if I try to get a little closer to her and get to know he better then I can find out if she does like me and if I do like her.'
I the felt someone next to me. "Hey dog shit what are we looking at?" It was Kouga. "Shhhhhhh!!!" We are spying on our new companion and the other girls." Miroku whispered. "You should look at her she is great." Kouga scooted over to where Miroku was crouching. "I don't see her."
Back To Kat
After I got my towel around my waist, I jumped into a tree that gave me a good view of the girls and the boys. There was a new scent that I did not recognize. I looked over to where Inuyasha and Miroku sat. There, is it Kouga? I silently jumped down behind them without being noticed. "I don't see her." I heard Kouga whisper. "Ahem." All three of them turned around looking very pale. "You were right Miroku she is good looking. But not as good as Kagome." I shot Miroku a warning look. "Hey Mutt you pick some good looking humans to travel with."
I had him on his back and was on him in an instant. "Listen here Kouga. I am a dog hanyou just like Inuyasha so when ever you insult him you insult me. And believe me I am not like any other girls do you got it." All he could do was stare. When I attacked him I dropped my towel so basically I was sitting naked on top of him. I was slightly embarrassed when I noticed what he was staring at. So I got off of him. "Inuyasha, Miroku, Kouga it's rather rude to stare." I went over to my towel and draped it over my bare chest and waist.
"I want all of you to go back to camp. That means you too Kouga. Ohh, Inuyasha and Miroku you too are lucky enough if I don't tell them what happened. " I left them in the state of shock as I traveled back to the spring to get changed. "What happened?" Sango asked questioningly. "It was nothing. My new senses were playing tricks on me. You two can stay here I'm kinda tired from all of the excitement." I went to camp.
"Did you tell them?" Kouga asked eagerly "No I didn't, but if I find any of you spying on us without permission then you are in more trouble then you could imagine." All of them nodded in agreement. "Inuyasha I thought better of you. What happened?" Inuyasha only answered my question with another. "What was up with you showing us your body like that?" "Not everything is as it appears to be." Was all I said with a smile? "I hope you all enjoyed the show because that will be the only time you ever see it. Now Kouga how are you. I'm Kat. Sorry about what happened earlier. I shouldn't have attacked you like that." "It's alright I didn't mind." Now I started to blush deeply.
"How do you know who I am?" Kouga asked anxiously. "Don't worry about it she knows about all of us to even though we didn't tell her anything about ourselves." Inuyasha said. "Oh and Kouga, I want you out of my camp NOW!" "Inuyasha, that is no way to treat a friend. You do know you will eventually need his help to defeat Naraku. So you two better solve your problems now."
"I like this girl that you found." Kouga said. "Hey Kouga. My ask a favor from you." I was anxious to ask my question. "Yes, anything." "For a long time I wanted to know what your tail felt like so I wanted to know if you would let me please touch it?" I rushed out my words. Kouga at the time had his tail curled across his lap and he was sitting in front of the fire. "No ones ever asked me that question before. But I guess there is always a first time for everything. So I go ahead." I squealed in delight. I ran over to him and began to gently stroke his tail. He growled deep with satisfaction. "I like your touch." He mumbled in my ear. "You do? Well you have only let me touch your tail. Just think of what I feel like in other places." I smelt his arousal and giggled. I jumped up to a tree across from camp just as the other girls arrived.
"Miroku, I am proud of you. This is the first time I haven't caught you trying to sneak a peek at us bathing." Sango ran over to Miroku and gave him a hug. He looked at me and smiled like a mad man. His hand was twitching toward her bottom. Miroku looked at me for support. I shook my head no. I could tell he was mentally telling himself the same thing.
"There's a first time for everything." Miroku said as he winked to the rest of the group. " Well I better be heading back to my pack." Kouga smiled and jumped up to the tree I was resting in. "It was a pleasure to meet you." "The pleasure is all mine." I gave him a hug. I could smell his arousal again and apparently so did Inuyasha because he growled menacingly and jumped up on the branch with us. "Good bye Kouga." Inuyasha said poison dripping out of every syllable. "Yes. Good bye.......Inuyasha." Kouga answered with just as much poison.
"I hope we see each other again real soon Kouga." I smiled and waved at him as he and his tornado went through the forest. "I don't think I have ever heard Kouga say Inuyasha's name as long as I have been here." Kagome said amazed. "How did you do it?" "Let's just say that I had a little talk with them both. Right Inuyasha?" "Fehh."
"Well we better get to bed. We are going to see Kaede tomorrow morning." Kagome said as she began to unroll her sleeping bag. I really didn't feel tired at all. But I decided to go to sleep all the same. Inuyasha perched himself in a tree across from me. Kagome and Shippo slept together. Sango slept with Hiraikoutsu across her lap under my tree. Miroku slept the same way with his staff under Inuyasha's tree.
I slept for about three hours and that was it. I checked my glowie watch twenty-seven minutes until midnight. I checked the darkness and found a pair of amber eyes staring at me through the dark. "Inuyasha are you still awake?" I felt my branch wiggle a little under the weight. "Yes, I am still awake. We only need about three-four hours of sleep." "I'm sorry I didn't know." I whispered a bit ashamed. "Don't worry about it. Do you want to walk with me for a while?"
I was surprised by the question but in the end I said yes. Inuyasha and I walked a while through the forest in silence. He led me to a cave that had a wonderful spring inside of it. The water reflected itself in rainbows all over the cave wall."Inuyasha this is beautiful!"
I exclaimed with glee. "I promised myself that if I ever found a female hanyou that I would show this to her." Inuyasha looked like he was somewhere else at the moment so I didn't disturb him.
At last he broke the awkward silence that came between us. "How do you like being a hanyou?" Inuyasha asked with a hint of sadness in his voice. "The truth is, I love it. I love being able to run fast and being strong and jumping high it's fantastic. Why?" "Because I hate it. You have lived as a human for so long that you don't know what it is like to be a mutt. When I was small the other kids would throw rocks at me and the parents would sit there and encourage it sometimes even join in." "Inuyasha I know your story. But that was the past. I know that the past still hurts a lot but sometimes you just need to move on. I mean look at you now. You have great friends who care about you and they don't care if you're a full-blooded demon or not. As long as you be yourself you will be fine." Inuyasha's looked at me with a deep sorrow held in his eyes.
"You are right. I just need to stop feeling sorry for myself and move on." he smiled. "Kat, I have another question for you. What do you really think about me?" I stood there for a moment without any comment thinking about what the right answer would be. I had two options. One, tell the truth of what I thought about him, or two, lie. I liked optioning one the best.
"Inuyasha I think you are wonderful and I also think you and Kagome would make a happy couple. In reality, Kagome loves you but she is afraid to tell you because she thinks you are in still love with Kikyo. And we all know that you love her too. So was that the answer you wanted to hear?" Inuyasha just stared at the wall. "Do you really think that I and wonderful." "Yes I do. I mean look at you. You are hansom, strong, and very kind what girl wouldn't want you?" I smiled and he blushed.
I checked my watch. "We should be heading back now." "Yeah you're right. I'm glad we could talk even though we just met today. I could never talk like this to anyone else." "I'm glad you are willing to talk without me having to pry it out of you. And I am sorry for making you jealous earlier with Kouga." Inuyasha looked at me. "I was not jealous of the wolf. " "OK since you're not jealous then you wouldn't mind if I ask Kouga to be my mate now would you." Inuyasha growled at me.
"As a matter of fact I do mind. You of all people deserve better." "Ohh yes you are right. I should ask Miroku instead." At that Inuyasha tried to pounce on me. "Stay." I said with confidence. Inuyasha stopped in mid air. "What have you done to me?" Inuyasha asked. "Remember the gifts that I handed out. Well the ankle bracelet I gave you is actually prayer beads that act the same way as your necklace does. So when ever I say the word stay, you freeze in whatever position you are in." I smiled. "When this spell wears off I'm gonna get you." "Only if you can catch me." I said with a giggle.
The chase was on. It was five minutes to eight and I ran like a bat out of hell. I followed our scent that we left and made my way to camp. Left, right, right again, left again. I looked over my shoulder. I saw him "Stay" I said loud enough for him to hear. "I'm gonna get you Kat." I jumped through the trees until I saw the clearing where camp was. I saw Kagome making breakfast.
"Kagome say sit! Say Sit!" I yelled out to her. Kagome looked around me and saw Inuyasha coming on fast. "SIT BOY!!" Kagome yelled out. Right after that I yelled out my command "STAY!!" Inuyasha was stuck face first in the ground waiting for the effects of both spells to where off.
"Kat what happened?" Kagome asked. "I was breathing heavily from all of the adrenalin. But I finally calmed down. "Inuyasha and I were talking. I made him angry by saying that I was going to ask Kouga to be my mate. I didn't mean it of course. But then Inuyasha says that I deserved someone better, so I agreed with him and said yeah Miroku." At this both Kagome and Sango broke out in fits of laughter. "I think I would make a good mate." Miroku said not laughing like the rest of us.
"What ever you say Miroku." Sango said between breaths. "So then what happened?" Kagome asked finally calming down. "Well, the ankle bracelet that I gave Inuyasha were more prayer beads like his necklace so when ever I say the word S-T-A-Y, he stops in whatever position he is in. So he started to chase after me so I ran like a bat out of hell." I was still a little out of breath from the whole Miroku joke and all the running.
"Kat we are going to have a very interesting time together." Kagome said. "Yes I agree." said Sango. Moments later Inuyasha came back looking pissed off. "You guys are trying to kill me aren't you? Bitches that's what you all are, mean, nasty ass bitches." "Inuyasha that is not a very nice thing to say to people." Sango said angrily. "It was a joke. Laugh a little." "Hardy har har now let's get a move on."
