Sesshomaru: Walks out of living room from watching basketball* Is Inuyasha giving you trouble again Kat?
Kat: *Nods and starts to put on fake tears* All I wanted to know was if he could tell me what to do next in the fic Sniffs and blows nose*
Inuyasha: I have an idea, in this chapter I kick Sesshomarus butt.
Kat: Glares at Inuyasha* I have an idea; I will have Sesshomaru kick you're butt, and then you can go and live with Kagome.
Sesshomaru: Sounds good to me. As long as I get the girl I am ok. Smiles and winks*
Inuyasha: No way I get the girl!!!
Sesshomaru: Listen to you big brother, I get the girl and you go home.
Inuyasha: You kidnapped her and then locked her in her room, so why should she like you? * Points finger *
Kat: I love it when you two fight. * Smiles and leans farther back in chair and falls over *
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha: * Laugh and point fingers *
Kat: * Rubs back and punches them both in shoulder * you two are mean.
Sesshomaru: We're mean, yeah right.
Inuyasha: Hey Sesshomaru you want some pie? Kat's mom just went shopping.
Kat: So you two have been the ones raiding my fridge!!!! I am going to get you. * Stands up and runs after them, but trips down the loft office stairs and hits head on wall and passes out. *
Sesshomaru: You think she is ok?
Inuyasha: She'll be fine, now lets go eat pie.
Kat: * Wakes up * you two are going to get you butt kicked in the next chapter.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha: Yeah whatever * they continue eating there pie*
What happened in the last chapter: I had finally gotten my new sword from Totousi. The sword is named Gotenku and has special abilities that I have no idea how to control yet. I told Inuyasha some stuff about my past, because of a promise that I didn't keep. Then I teach Inuyasha to trust by sleeping one night with him another with Teranchi until finally a challenge has been made between the two. I didn't know what the challenge was at first, but I found out. While the two were fighting, Sesshomaru comes and Kidnaps me!!! Then he denies it. Sometimes I wonder about him. Anyway, Inuyasha and Teranchi went back to Kagome and the others for help while I am stuck being taken to Sesshomarus castle for unknown reasons. So.... Now what?
Chapter 5 Going To The Castle And Help From The Helpless
I groaned and woke up feeling sore all over. I opened one eye and looked around the clearing. When I spotted Sesshomaru on the other side of the dead campfire, all the memories from the night before came back to me in a flash. I shook my head and rubbed my eyes.
' Wait a minute, didn't he put a freezing spell on me? That means I shouldn't be able to move. Did the spell where off during the night? I wonder what would happen if I got up?'
I silently stood up and stretched my arms and my sore back. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes again and headed over to a spring that I saw the yesterday when we were in the sky. I followed the faint trace of water for a while until I made it. I undressed and folded my baggy-pants, sweater, and shirt. Then I washed my unmentionables since I was still in heat and climbed into the water. "This is wonderful." I mumbled. I ducked under the water and sniffed the air.
'Someone is watching me. I can smell them. Who is it? Sesshomaru or another demon maybe? I think I will head back to camp.'
At that I slowly got up and dried myself off. I got dressed and started off in the direction that I thought was camp. I walked, and walked, and walked. "Great I'm lost. Now what?" I shook my head and thought about reasonable things to do. "I could try a different direction. No I'd most likely get even more lost. I could wait here until Sesshomaru comes and finds me. No, I don't know what time he wakes up and I still have that strange feeling that I am being watched. I know I will yell out and hope that Sesshomaru comes fast. He would have to save me or else the whole kidnapping thing would have been useless."
I smiled at my good thinking and was about to call out when.........
Sesshomaru's POV
I knew she was awake when her breathing sped up and she began to stir. I opened one eye only a little bit and watched what she would do. I watched the girl get up and stretch. She looked please that I didn't put the spell on her again. I inwardly smiled and opened one eye just a little more. I made sure that I kept my breathing and heart beat steady so she would think that I was watching her. I wanted to know what she would do next. Would she try to attack me in my sleep or run away from here? I was curious and hoped she would run away so I could have fun with the chase.
Again I inwardly smiled and waited. She sniffed the air and began to walk away. Once out of sight, I got up and followed her. She walked for sometime until she found what she was looking for. A warm spring that was one of many in my lands. I watched from a tree as she undresses and washed some clothes of hers. I could still smell her heat, but I fought the animal instincts.
I knew that she could feel my presence but she did nothing about it. When she was finished, she climbed out of the water and got dressed. Then she walked in the opposite direction of camp. "Where is she going?" I asked myself. Again I silently followed her from the trees. She suddenly stopped and began to talk to herself. I listened closely to hear what she was saying.

Back To Me
I tripped over a rock and hit my head on the tree next to me. I rubbed my head and wrinkled my nose in pain. "That hurt." I looked up and saw Sesshomaru they're watching me.
' He was following me!!! That means he saw me bathe!!! What is up with everyone watching the girls bathe? Is everyone in this time perverts? I wonder how the others are doing? How is Miroku doing?'
I imagined Miroku getting slapped harder and harder until he had mental problems. I laughed and decided to play a trick on Sesshomaru. I would start talking to myself saying things like "I am glad to be with Sesshomaru." and "I wish that I would never have to leave him again." All this was a bunch of bullshit, but I would tell him that later.
I sat up against the tree that I fell against and straitened my hair. "I am so glad that Sesshomaru isn't here to listen to me. I wouldn't want him to know all my feelings and personal wishes." I watched him out of the corner of my eye. He just sat there and listened closely. "I am so happy to be with Sesshomaru, he makes me happy and I love being happy. Inuyasha was a nice guy and all but he doesn't look as good as Sesshomaru. Gods Sesshomaru is hot. I hope I never have to leave him again."
I smiled and started to fan myself. I watched him out of the corner of my eye again and waited to see what he would do.
Sesshomaru's POV
She started to talk to herself. She was talking about me and so I listened carefully and my eyes began to get big from shock of all the things that she was saying.
' I make her happy? She never wants to leave me again? This is going to be a very good day. If she likes me like this then my plans have just become a whole lot easier.'
Back To Kat
I watched as he jumped out of the tree and began to slowly walk toward me. "Ohh no, how long have you been there? What have you heard?" I asked dripping sarcasm all over the place. I smiled at him. "Why did you leave with out my permission?" he asked coldly. "I needed to take a bath." I said calmly with another big smile. He rolled his eyes at me and walked even closer. "You will not leave again with out my permission." At that he picked me up again and we were heading to the castle.
"Sesshomaru can you please do me one favor." He looked down at me. "Can you please smile at least once?" Again he rolled his eyes and I thought he was going to ignore me again and give me that whole thing with 'I don't smile because it's human' talk. But instead, he looked me in my eyes and smiled probably the best smile I have ever seen. It was warm and friendly. "Thank you. Why do you hide such a wonderful smile? I bet that if you smile more you will feel better about yourself." I wrinkled my nose playfully and enjoyed the wind that whipped through my hair.
I wasn't afraid anymore. After that smile I felt.... Safe with this stranger. I breathed in his scent deeply and watched the scenery go by.
Inuyasha's POV
I couldn't sleep at all last night. I kept thinking about what horrible things Sesshomaru would do to my friend. Miroku and I came up with a plan last night and we were going to go through with it as soon as everyone was awake. Right now Kouga, Teranchi, Shippo, Kilara, and I were the only ones awake. Shippo held Kilara tightly as she snuggled next to him. Kouga and Teranchi were talking quietly to one another, most likely about Kat but I didn't feel like listening in.
Our plan was to travel the couple days to the western lands and find out what Sesshomaru wanted from Kat along the way. Then when we got they're to the castle, be would barge in a get Kat back from my brother. It wasn't a very good plan, but that was all we had. I just wanted to wake everyone up as soon as possible.
Shippo and Kilara came over and sat in my lap. I didn't even notice them until I felt a small hand pulling on my fire rat. I looked down. Shippo was they're looking really stressed out. "Can we leave now Inuyasha?" I shook my head. Even the kid wanted to go. "No Shippo, not until everyone wakes up." Shippo nodded and had an evil glint in his eyes.
He hopped into the middle of the room and yelled "Everyone wake up NOW!!!" I flattened my ears against my head. "At least the kid got it done." I mumbled. Kilara meowed and we watched as the group wake with a start. Miroku was up in a flash with his staff at hand. "What...What happened?" asked Miroku searching the hut for the disturbance. Sango also awoke with sword at the ready for any upcoming demons.
"Why the hell did you wake us up for?" asked Sango watching the now blushing Shippo closely. Kouga got up with Teranchi. "We should be leaving now anyway." said Teranchi. Kouga nodded and I got up to wake the still sleeping Kagome. "How could she sleep through that?" Miroku commentated while rubbing his ears. "I don't know."
I gently shook Kagome in her sleeping bag. She opened one eye and then flipped over. "Sit." she mumbled. I fell flat on my face. I let out a string of curse words. By time I had gotten back up, Kouga was standing over Kagome. "Kagome wake up please." She flipped back over and smiled at him. "I guess something happened here while I was gone." I said to Miroku. "Not even I know what happened." I looked at my feet and felt a little guilty for leaving Kagome.
It was about ten o'clock by time we left on our rescue mission. We traveled swiftly through the forest and near by villages. Sango and Miroku rode Kilara, Shippo was with me, Kagome was on Kouga's back, and Teranchi was running next to Kouga. Before we left, I asked Kagome if she would ride with me, all she said was "Sorry Inuyasha, I promised Kouga I would go with him." It made me a little jealous but not much. It was about noon or so when we finally stopped for lunch. The wolf brothers went to get some firewood and the rest of us helped Kagome with the Ramen.
"I wonder what Sesshomaru wanted with Kat?" said Sango. "I mean it can't be anything good can it?" I shrugged even though I was thinking the same thing. Sango and Miroku went to talk and Kilara and Shippo were back in the grass playing a game that Kagome had taught them recently. Which left me with Kagome.
"So, how was the trip?" asked Kagome breaking the awkward silence. "Did you and Kat have a good time?" I looked at her. What did she mean by a good time? I had bad images run through my head. I paused trying to get the images to go away. "Well Inuyasha? Are you going to answer me?" she snapped. "The trip was fine and no, we didn't have a good time. It was hard with the wolf always breaking the training sessions with Kat's new sword to get anything done, so we didn't have a chance to have any "good times" and by the way what is with the attitude?" Kagome glared at me and then got up and stalked off. "Bitch" I said under my breath.
After a quick lunch we were back on the road keeping a steady pace. The traveling places were about the same other then Kagome now rode with Teranchi instead of Kouga. I rolled my eyes and continued leading my awkward pack to our destination.
Back To Kat Who Is Still In Sesshomaru's Arms
It was a long uncomfortable ride to the castle. I kept wriggling around in Sesshomaru's arms trying to find a nice position to be carried. After a short while Sesshomaru had had enough and threatened to drop me if I moved again. At that I stayed very, very, very still as to not upset the Taiyouki of the Western Lands.
It was about noon or so when we finally reached the castle. "Wow this is beautiful!" I said with an open mouth. I gasped as he brought me around through the garden to the front doors. Sesshomaru gently set me down and let me look at the Sakura Trees that lined the sparkling lake and rose bushes the made little paths to who knows where. Every once in a while you saw a statue of one of the past Taiyoukis or of an important person.
Sesshomaru pushed the front doors open and there was a little orange and white blur that immediately attached itself to Sesshomaru's leg. "Sesshomaru-sama, you have returned from your trip, Rin is so happy!!" The little girl hugged the mans leg even tighter and nuzzled her cheek against the silk pants that he was wearing. Rin looked up and happily smiled at me. "Sesshomaru-sama, who is your new friend?" Sesshomaru bent over and picked Rin up into his arms. "Rin this is Kat. She is my guest and I do not want you to play with her unless you ask me first, alright?" Rin nodded. Sesshomaru put her down and she ran up the stairs to what I guessed her room.
Sesshomaru turned to me. "I will have one of the servants take you to your room. There you will bathe and be ready for dinner. There will be extra clothing in the wardrobe that might suit you." He walked across the entrance hall and up the stairs, leaving me alone in the doorway. As soon as Sesshomaru was out of sight a young girl who looked about eighteen stepped out from behind a door. She wasn't quite human I'd give her that, but she wasn't demon either, not a hanyou that was for sure. What was she?
I didn't want to be rude so I didn't ask. The girl had purplely blue hair and wore a gray silk dress with an apron. She cautiously walked toward me with her gaze to the ground. "I will show me to your room." the girl said. She began to walk to the stairs; I put my hand on her shoulder. She violently flinched and shook. I turned her around; her gaze was still at her feet. "What is your name?" She didn't answer me right away. "My...My name is Ayia." she stuttered a little. "That is a beautiful name." She nodded. "Why do you look down at your feet?" "Because it is the proper thing to do." I shook my head. "I want you to look at me. You can tell everyone that. When they see me I want them to smile and greet me." She looked up. Ayia had silver eyes with little flecks of gold. "That's it. Now smile" She smiled like she really meant it. I smiled in return. "Now, where's that room that you wanted to show me." Ayia laughed and started up the stairs.
We traveled through endless corridors. We talked about her family, the castle, and what she did here. Until we reached a wooden door that had a bronze dragon handle. Ayia silently opened the door and walked in. "Ohh my." I walked in. Inside was a large futon that had plenty of fluffed pillows, a wooded desk, a wardrobe, and a door that led out to a balcony that over looked the lake. The room had a high ceiling and beautiful wooden floors. "This is gorgeous." Ayia nodded. "Not very many people get this room. Only very important guests." She smiled again. I looked closely at the desk and wardrobe, which seemed to have little dragons inscribed in them. Ayia walked over the wardrobe and gestured for me to come. "What would you like to wear?" I searched the wardrobe. It seemed that all the outfits had a dragon somewhere on it. I finally found a dress that suited me. The dress was blood red and had a large black dragon on the front of it. It had thin straps that criss-crossed in the back with a silver clip that held it all together. The material was a fine silk.
Ayia took the dress with a matching pair of sandals and took my hand. "Lets go to the bath house." We headed out the door, down the corridor, made a left, a right; another right, down the stairs, took a left, down the hall, up the stairs, down another hall, and took one last right. I tried to memorize the halls and the directions but all I gained was a large headache. I could smell the steam rise from under the door. Ayia smiled and dropped my hand. She opened the door and hung up the dress on a hook on the other side of the room. I walked in. In the middle of the room was a pool-sized bathtub. I squealed in delight. I quickly got undressed and lowered myself into the hot water.
Ayia came up behind me with some scented oils and shampoos. She washed my hair and made sure not to get too much water in my sensitive ears. I swam a couple of laps in the tub and had a small water fight with my new friend, when I was finished; I got dressed in the dress. The dress was perfect. It clung to my body in all the right places and wasn't too tight or too loose. Ayia put my hair up into a bun and stepped back. "You look very nice." I blushed. "Thank you." We smiled at each other and headed out the bathroom. Ayia showed me to the dinning area. I was about to walk in when I noticed that Ayia wasn't coming. "Aren't you coming?" I asked hoping that I wouldn't have to eat alone with Sesshomaru. Ayia shook her head. Servants aren't allowed in the dinning hall unless they are cleaning it or if they serve the food." I frowned. "Will I see you later?" I asked hoping that my new friend wasn't temporary.
"Yes." I hugged her and walked into the dinning room. I stood in the door way for a while admiring the craftsmanship of the large table and the marble floors. On the other side of the room were Sesshomaru and Rin. Rin smiled and waved while Sesshomaru just stared. I waved back and headed down to the end of the table. I pulled out a chair and sat down. Rin sat across from me and Sesshomaru sat at the head of the table, in other words on my left.
I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw Sesshomaru still staring at me. I turned my head and smiled. He rolled his eyes. "Stand up." he said emotionlessly. I did as I was told and stood up. "Back up some." I pushed in my chair and backed up. Sesshomaru looked me over. "Smile." I gave him a bright smile and stood my ears up tall and perky. "Rin likes the dress you are wearing." Said Rin "It has a pretty dragon on it." I smiled "Thank you Rin."
Since I knew I would probably get in trouble if I sat down, I'd ask. "Sesshomaru, may I please sit down?" He nodded. I pulled the chair back out and sat down on the comfy cushion. Sesshomaru looked behind him and gestured for the food to come. Three servants that weren't human or demon or hanyou stepped out from behind a door with large platters.
' I will have to ask Ayia about what she is after dinner. I wonder what I can do while I am here. Will he let me out of the castle to go to the garden? Or am I stuck in my room all day? I guess I'll just have to find out later.'
The servants set down the platters on the table and lifted the covers. They then bowed and walked off to the door that they came out of. I turned my gaze from the door to the food. There was sushi, chicken, beef, soup, and much more. I was hungry, but didn't know when to start eating, so I waited until Sesshomaru had his food. Rin went right to the chicken. She grabbed a leg and munched it happily. Sesshomaru watched. I thought I saw a hint of a smile on the corner of his lips, but shrugged it off.
I waited and waited but the Taiyouki didn't touch the food. I wasn't sure what to do, so I just sat there and waited. Sesshomaru turned to me and watched me curiously. "Are you not going to eat?" I looked up from my plate and stared into his golden orbs. "I guess." I looked down to where the forks usually were, chopsticks.
' Ohh no, I don't have the slightest clue on how to use these. What do I do? Do I ask for a fork? Do they even have forks?'
I mentally sighed and shook my head. "Um, Sesshomaru." He nodded to tell me that he was paying attention. "I...I ah, don't know how to use chopsticks." I mumbled blushing. Rin broke out in little giggles and I am sure that Sesshomaru would have laughed to if he weren't so stuck up about emotions. I blushed three more shades of red. Sesshomaru got up and went to the door that the servants came out of. He then came back moments later with something shiny. "Can you use on of these?" He had a fork in the pale of his hand. I nodded happily and took the eating utensil from his warm hands. "Thank you." He ignored me and began to eat. I put some beef with white rice and soysouce on my plate. Then some veggies and chicken. I had a little bit of sushi with some more rice until I was full.
Rin was done much earlier, but she sat quietly until Sesshomaru was finished. "May Rin go to the garden to play?" Sesshomaru thought this over. "Yes, but return to the castle before night fall." The little girl smiled and skipped happily to the garden. Now I was alone with the Taiyouki. Do I get up to leave? Or sit here and wait for conversation? I decided that I would just get up and leave.

She looked please that I didn't put the spell on her again. I inwardly smiled and opened one eye just a little more. I made sure that I kept my breathing and heart beat steady so she would think that I was watching her. I wanted to know what she would do next. Would she try to attack me in my sleep or run away from here? I was curious and hoped she would run away so I could have fun with the chase.
Again I inwardly smiled and waited. She sniffed the air and began to walk away. Once out of sight, I got up and followed her. She walked for sometime until she found what she was looking for. A warm spring that was one of many in my lands. I watched from a tree as she undresses and washed some clothes of hers. I could still smell her heat, but I fought the animal instincts.
I knew that she could feel my presence but she did nothing about it. When she was finished, she climbed out of the water and got dressed. Then she walked in the opposite direction of camp. "Where is she going?" I asked myself. Again I silently followed her from the trees. She suddenly stopped and began to talk to herself. I listened closely to hear what she was saying.
"Great I'm lost. Now what?" she shook her head. "I could try a different direction. No I'd most likely get even more lost. I could wait here until Sesshomaru comes and finds me. No, I don't know what time he wakes up and I still have that strange feeling that I am being watched. I know I will yell out and hope that Sesshomaru comes fast. He would have to save me or else the whole kidnapping thing would have been useless."
I chuckled at her and was about to go down there until...
Back To Me
I tripped over a rock and hit my head on the tree next to me. I rubbed my head and wrinkled my nose in pain. "That hurt." I looked up and saw Sesshomaru they're watching me.
' He was following me!!! That means he saw me bathe!!! What is up with everyone watching the girls bathe? Is everyone in this time perverts? I wonder how the others are doing? How is Miroku doing?'
I imagined Miroku getting slapped harder and harder until he had mental problems. I laughed and decided to play a trick on Sesshomaru. I would start talking to myself saying things like "I am glad to be with Sesshomaru." and "I wish that I would never have to leave him again." All this was a bunch of bullshit, but I would tell him that later.
I sat up against the tree that I fell against and straitened my hair. "I am so glad that Sesshomaru isn't here to listen to me. I wouldn't want him to know all my feelings and personal wishes." I watched him out of the corner of my eye. He just sat there and listened closely. "I am so happy to be with Sesshomaru, he makes me happy and I love being happy. Inuyasha was a nice guy and all but he doesn't look as good as Sesshomaru. Gods Sesshomaru is hot. I hope I never have to leave him again."
I smiled and started to fan myself. I watched him out of the corner of my eye again and waited to see what he would do.
Sesshomaru's POV
She started to talk to herself. She was talking about me and so I listened carefully and my eyes began to get big from shock of all the things that she was saying.
' I make her happy? She never wants to leave me again? This is going to be a very good day. If she likes me like this then my plans have just become a whole lot easier.'
Back To Kat
I watched as he jumped out of the tree and began to slowly walk toward me. "Ohh no, how long have you been there? What have you heard?" I asked dripping sarcasm all over the place. I smiled at him. "Why did you leave with out my permission?" he asked coldly. "I needed to take a bath." I said calmly with another big smile. He rolled his eyes at me and walked even closer. "You will not leave again with out my permission." At that he picked me up again and we were heading to the castle.
"Sesshomaru can you please do me one favor." He looked down at me. "Can you please smile at least once?" Again he rolled his eyes and I thought he was going to ignore me again and give me that whole thing with 'I don't smile because it's human' talk. But instead, he looked me in my eyes and smiled probably the best smile I have ever seen. It was warm and friendly. "Thank you. Why do you hide such a wonderful smile? I bet that if you smile more you will feel better about yourself." I wrinkled my nose playfully and enjoyed the wind that whipped through my hair.
I wasn't afraid anymore. After that smile I felt.... Safe with this stranger. I breathed in his scent deeply and watched the scenery go by.
Inuyasha's POV
I couldn't sleep at all last night. I kept thinking about what horrible things Sesshomaru would do to my friend. Miroku and I came up with a plan last night and we were going to go through with it as soon as everyone was awake. Right now Kouga, Teranchi, Shippo, Kilara, and I were the only ones awake. Shippo held Kilara tightly as she snuggled next to him. Kouga and Teranchi were talking quietly to one another, most likely about Kat but I didn't feel like listening in.
Our plan was to travel the couple days to the western lands and find out what Sesshomaru wanted from Kat along the way. Then when we got they're to the castle, be would barge in a get Kat back from my brother. It wasn't a very good plan, but that was all we had. I just wanted to wake everyone up as soon as possible.
Shippo and Kilara came over and sat in my lap. I didn't even notice them until I felt a small hand pulling on my fire rat. I looked down. Shippo was they're looking really stressed out. "Can we leave now Inuyasha?" I shook my head. Even the kid wanted to go. "No Shippo, not until everyone wakes up." Shippo nodded and had an evil glint in his eyes.
He hopped into the middle of the room and yelled "Everyone wake up NOW!!!" I flattened my ears against my head. "At least the kid got it done." I mumbled. Kilara meowed and we watched as the group wake with a start. Miroku was up in a flash with his staff at hand. "What...What happened?" asked Miroku searching the hut for the disturbance. Sango also awoke with sword at the ready for any upcoming demons.
"Why the hell did you wake us up for?" asked Sango watching the now blushing Shippo closely. Kouga got up with Teranchi. "We should be leaving now anyway." said Teranchi. Kouga nodded and I got up to wake the still sleeping Kagome. "How could she sleep through that?" Miroku commentated while rubbing his ears. "I don't know."
I gently shook Kagome in her sleeping bag. She opened one eye and then flipped over. "Sit." she mumbled. I fell flat on my face. I let out a string of curse words. By time I had gotten back up, Kouga was standing over Kagome. "Kagome wake up please." She flipped back over and smiled at him. "I guess something happened here while I was gone." I said to Miroku. "Not even I know what happened." I looked at my feet and felt a little guilty for leaving Kagome.
It was about ten o'clock by time we left on our rescue mission. We traveled swiftly through the forest and near by villages. Sango and Miroku rode Kilara, Shippo was with me, Kagome was on Kouga's back, and Teranchi was running next to Kouga. Before we left, I asked Kagome if she would ride with me, all she said was "Sorry Inuyasha, I promised Kouga I would go with him." It made me a little jealous but not much. It was about noon or so when we finally stopped for lunch. The wolf brothers went to get some firewood and the rest of us helped Kagome with the Ramen.
"I wonder what Sesshomaru wanted with Kat?" said Sango. "I mean it can't be anything good can it?" I shrugged even though I was thinking the same thing. Sango and Miroku went to talk and Kilara and Shippo were back in the grass playing a game that Kagome had taught them recently. Which left me with Kagome.
"So, how was the trip?" asked Kagome breaking the awkward silence. "Did you and Kat have a good time?" I looked at her. What did she mean by a good time? I had bad images run through my head. I paused trying to get the images to go away. "Well Inuyasha? Are you going to answer me?" she snapped. "The trip was fine and no, we didn't have a good time. It was hard with the wolf always breaking the training sessions with Kat's new sword to get anything done, so we didn't have a chance to have any "good times" and by the way what is with the attitude?" Kagome glared at me and then got up and stalked off. "Bitch" I said under my breath.
After a quick lunch we were back on the road keeping a steady pace. The traveling places were about the same other then Kagome now rode with Teranchi instead of Kouga. I rolled my eyes and continued leading my awkward pack to our destination.
Back To Kat Who Is Still In Sesshomaru's Arms
It was a long uncomfortable ride to the castle. I kept wriggling around in Sesshomaru's arms trying to find a nice position to be carried. After a short while Sesshomaru had had enough and threatened to drop me if I moved again. At that I stayed very, very, very still as to not upset the Taiyouki of the Western Lands.
It was about noon or so when we finally reached the castle. "Wow this is beautiful!" I said with an open mouth. I gasped as he brought me around through the garden to the front doors. Sesshomaru gently set me down and let me look at the Sakura Trees that lined the sparkling lake and rose bushes the made little paths to who knows where. Every once in a while you saw a statue of one of the past Taiyoukis or of an important person.
Sesshomaru pushed the front doors open and there was a little orange and white blur that immediately attached itself to Sesshomaru's leg. "Sesshomaru-sama, you have returned from your trip, Rin is so happy!!" The little girl hugged the mans leg even tighter and nuzzled her cheek against the silk pants that he was wearing. Rin looked up and happily smiled at me. "Sesshomaru-sama, who is your new friend?" Sesshomaru bent over and picked Rin up into his arms. "Rin this is Kat. She is my guest and I do not want you to play with her unless you ask me first, alright?" Rin nodded. Sesshomaru put her down and she ran up the stairs to what I guessed her room.
Sesshomaru turned to me. "I will have one of the servants take you to your room. There you will bathe and be ready for dinner. There will be extra clothing in the wardrobe that might suit you." He walked across the entrance hall and up the stairs, leaving me alone in the doorway. As soon as Sesshomaru was out of sight a young girl who looked about eighteen stepped out from behind a door. She wasn't quite human I'd give her that, but she wasn't demon either, not a hanyou that was for sure. What was she?
I didn't want to be rude so I didn't ask. The girl had purplely blue hair and wore a gray silk dress with an apron. She cautiously walked toward me with her gaze to the ground. "I will show me to your room." the girl said. She began to walk to the stairs; I put my hand on her shoulder. She violently flinched and shook. I turned her around; her gaze was still at her feet. "What is your name?" She didn't answer me right away. "My...My name is Ayia." she stuttered a little. "That is a beautiful name." She nodded. "Why do you look down at your feet?" "Because it is the proper thing to do." I shook my head. "I want you to look at me. You can tell everyone that. When they see me I want them to smile and greet me." She looked up. Ayia had silver eyes with little flecks of gold. "That's it. Now smile" She smiled like she really meant it. I smiled in return. "Now, where's that room that you wanted to show me." Ayia laughed and started up the stairs.
We traveled through endless corridors. We talked about her family, the castle, and what she did here. Until we reached a wooden door that had a bronze dragon handle. Ayia silently opened the door and walked in. "Ohh my." I walked in. Inside was a large futon that had plenty of fluffed pillows, a wooded desk, a wardrobe, and a door that led out to a balcony that over looked the lake. The room had a high ceiling and beautiful wooden floors. "This is gorgeous." Ayia nodded. "Not very many people get this room. Only very important guests." She smiled again. I looked closely at the desk and wardrobe, which seemed to have little dragons inscribed in them. Ayia walked over the wardrobe and gestured for me to come. "What would you like to wear?" I searched the wardrobe. It seemed that all the outfits had a dragon somewhere on it. I finally found a dress that suited me. The dress was blood red and had a large black dragon on the front of it. It had thin straps that criss-crossed in the back with a silver clip that held it all together. The material was a fine silk.
Ayia took the dress with a matching pair of sandals and took my hand. "Lets go to the bath house." We headed out the door, down the corridor, made a left, a right; another right, down the stairs, took a left, down the hall, up the stairs, down another hall, and took one last right. I tried to memorize the halls and the directions but all I gained was a large headache. I could smell the steam rise from under the door. Ayia smiled and dropped my hand. She opened the door and hung up the dress on a hook on the other side of the room. I walked in. In the middle of the room was a pool-sized bathtub. I squealed in delight. I quickly got undressed and lowered myself into the hot water.
Ayia came up behind me with some scented oils and shampoos. She washed my hair and made sure not to get too much water in my sensitive ears. I swam a couple of laps in the tub and had a small water fight with my new friend, when I was finished; I got dressed in the dress. The dress was perfect. It clung to my body in all the right places and wasn't too tight or too loose. Ayia put my hair up into a bun and stepped back. "You look very nice." I blushed. "Thank you." We smiled at each other and headed out the bathroom. Ayia showed me to the dinning area. I was about to walk in when I noticed that Ayia wasn't coming. "Aren't you coming?" I asked hoping that I wouldn't have to eat alone with Sesshomaru. Ayia shook her head. Servants aren't allowed in the dinning hall unless they are cleaning it or if they serve the food." I frowned. "Will I see you later?" I asked hoping that my new friend wasn't temporary.
"Yes." I hugged her and walked into the dinning room. I stood in the door way for a while admiring the craftsmanship of the large table and the marble floors. On the other side of the room were Sesshomaru and Rin. Rin smiled and waved while Sesshomaru just stared. I waved back and headed down to the end of the table. I pulled out a chair and sat down. Rin sat across from me and Sesshomaru sat at the head of the table, in other words on my left.
I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw Sesshomaru still staring at me. I turned my head and smiled. He rolled his eyes. "Stand up." he said emotionlessly. I did as I was told and stood up. "Back up some." I pushed in my chair and backed up. Sesshomaru looked me over. "Smile." I gave him a bright smile and stood my ears up tall and perky. "Rin likes the dress you are wearing." Said Rin "It has a pretty dragon on it." I smiled "Thank you Rin."
Since I knew I would probably get in trouble if I sat down, I'd ask. "Sesshomaru, may I please sit down?" He nodded. I pulled the chair back out and sat down on the comfy cushion. Sesshomaru looked behind him and gestured for the food to come. Three servants that weren't human or demon or hanyou stepped out from behind a door with large platters.
' I will have to ask Ayia about what she is after dinner. I wonder what I can do while I am here. Will he let me out of the castle to go to the garden? Or am I stuck in my room all day? I guess I'll just have to find out later.'
The servants set down the platters on the table and lifted the covers. They then bowed and walked off to the door that they came out of. I turned my gaze from the door to the food. There was sushi, chicken, beef, soup, and much more. I was hungry, but didn't know when to start eating, so I waited until Sesshomaru had his food. Rin went right to the chicken. She grabbed a leg and munched it happily. Sesshomaru watched. I thought I saw a hint of a smile on the corner of his lips, but shrugged it off.
I waited and waited but the Taiyouki didn't touch the food. I wasn't sure what to do, so I just sat there and waited. Sesshomaru turned to me and watched me curiously. "Are you not going to eat?" I looked up from my plate and stared into his golden orbs. "I guess." I looked down to where the forks usually were, chopsticks.
' Ohh no, I don't have the slightest clue on how to use these. What do I do? Do I ask for a fork? Do they even have forks?'
I mentally sighed and shook my head. "Um, Sesshomaru." He nodded to tell me that he was paying attention. "I...I ah, don't know how to use chopsticks." I mumbled blushing. Rin broke out in little giggles and I am sure that Sesshomaru would have laughed to if he weren't so stuck up about emotions. I blushed three more shades of red. Sesshomaru got up and went to the door that the servants came out of. He then came back moments later with something shiny. "Can you use on of these?" He had a fork in the pale of his hand. I nodded happily and took the eating utensil from his warm hands. "Thank you." He ignored me and began to eat. I put some beef with white rice and soysouce on my plate. Then some veggies and chicken. I had a little bit of sushi with some more rice until I was full.
Rin was done much earlier, but she sat quietly until Sesshomaru was finished. "May Rin go to the garden to play?" Sesshomaru thought this over. "Yes, but return to the castle before night fall." The little girl smiled and skipped happily to the garden. Now I was alone with the Taiyouki. Do I get up to leave? Or sit here and wait for conversation? I decided that I would just get up and leave.
