So this is the light?
A note to new readers: I you haven't read 'Out of the Closet, Into the Light,' you may need to. Actually, you gotta cuz you might get confused if you don't. This fic is the sequel to my other fic. So please read that one first and leave a review if you haven't already. This fic takes place two months later.

The Question
Shishio and Inuyasha were sitting in Inuyasha's living room talking about Inuyasha's plan. A month after the trial, Sora became Shishio's legal guardian and is now living with her. He visits Inuyasha almost everyday.
"When do you plan to ask him ani*?" (AN:means older brother in Japanese. It's more affectionate than 'oniisan') Shishio asked.
"I want to do it today, but...what if he's not ready?" Shishio sat closer to Inuyasha and places a hand on his shoulder.
"He would want nothing more than to spend his life with you. I know he's more than ready." Inuyasha gave the hand on his shoulder a squeeze.
"Thanks. So, how are you sleeping?" Inuyasha knew that Shishio was having trouble sleeping at night beause of nightmares. His past was still haunting him.
"It's getting better. I'm up to five hours of sleep with naps throughout the day. School doesn't help though." Inuyasha chuckled.
"When is school ever helpful?" Inuyasha joked.
Shishio looks down. "When will they stop ani?" Inuyasha pushed back stray strands of hair from Shishio's face.
"Eventually they'll be supressed in your mind, but you won't forget about them. The memories won't turn your dreams into nightmares. I'll be here for you, alright?" Shishio smiled. "And besides, maybe you'll find love too."
Shishio had a surprised look on his face and turned a light shade of red. "One can only hope." he replied. Inuyasha stood and Shishio followed him into the kitchen. He leaned against the counter while Inuyasha looked in the fridge.
"Ani?" Inuyasha looks up from the fridge.
"Hmm?" Shishio looked down at his feet.
"Well..." Inuyasha could tell when Shishio was nervous. He would always look down at his feet. Inuyasha walks over to Shishio and lifts his head by his chin.
"You know you can ask me anything." he reassured him. Shishio's eyes become glassy and his lips start to quiver.
"Will I ever find love? Will I ever be loved by someone or...will they see me as tainted when they learn about my past...of wh-what he..." his tears flowed down, too fast for Inuyasha to wipe away.
'He reminds me of myself. I asked the same question. I wanted to know if I was tainted.' Inuyasha thought to himself. "You aren't tainted. I have no doubt you'll find love and that love will be returned with equal if not more affection." he gives Shishio a hug that they both needed. They've always been there for each other. They've always comforted each other emotionally when needed.
Kouga walks in and sees the two in the kitchen. "I hope you're not trying to steal my boyfriend, otouto." Both of them seperate and Shishio wipes away tears from his face.
"Of course not, oniisama." Shishio replies. Kouga notices Shishio's face is a bit flushed from crying. Kouga walks towards the duo.
"Is everything alright Shishio?"
"I-I'm fine oniisama. Ani and I were just talking." Kouga gave Shishio a firm squeeze on his shoulder.
"No more tears, okay? Let the past be the past."
"How did-"
"I just knew. I want to see you you both smiling more, and that can't happen if even just one of you are sad." Kouga wiped away a tear that was left behind.
"Arigato, oniisama."
"Speaking of happiness," Inuyasha places both his hands ini his pockets. Shishio and Kouga turned toward Inuyasha. "I'm glad you want both of us to be happy. You've always put everyone else ahead of yourself. But, what about your happiness?"
Kouga smiled and stood in front of Inuyasha and looked into his amber orbs. "My loved ones' happiness is all I want, especially yours."
"If you want me happy then all I want is for you to...be with me and become as one." Inuyasha takes out a small black box and reveals a silver rinig with blue-colored diamonds all around it. "Will you marry me?"
"Inuyasha..." Kouga was at a loss for words.
'He finally did it!' Shishio was grining from ear to ear.
"...Of course I'll marry you." Kouga finally answered. Inuyasha took out the ring from the box and slipped it onto Kouga's left ring finger and passionately kissed Kouga. Meanwhile the phone rings at least three times. Shishio decides to answer it since the couple didn't notice and he saw tongues interact with each other.
"Please, let ME get it." he said sarcastically. "Hello, Nishida residence? Hey Celestine-sama! Uh-huh...yeah but he's a bit tongue-tied. Uh-huh...really?! Thanks! I'll let him know....alright...see you in a couple of days." he hangs up the phone. He walks back to the kitchen, where the battle of the tongues still carried on.
"HEY!! You're dad called, oniisama. He thought it was best to call here to find you."
Kouga had his arms wrapped around Inuyasha's shoulders from behind. "I do spend alot of time here, don't I? What did he say?"
"He said to pack your things because we're going to visit your family in the states in two days."
"WHAT?!" Inuyasha looked at the extreme look of surprise on his koishii's face.
"Is there something wrong?" he asked.
"The rest of my family doesn't know that..."
"That you're gay, and getting married to a guy?" Shishio stated.
"Why not?" Inuyasha asked. Kouga leaned his forehead on the back of Inuyasha's head.
"Let's just say they're not so accepting of it."
"I'm sure it can't be that bad." Kouga gave Inuyasha a skeptical look.
"Riiight. Well, I'll get packing then. You two should do the same." Kouga strokes Inuyasha's cheek with his left hand. Inuyasha kissed his ring. "We'll let everyone else know before we leave."
"Aishiteru, koishii." said Inuyasha.
"Mo aishiteru." Kouga walks towards Shishio and places a kiss on the top of his head. "If you need to talk otouto.."
"I know...Kouga ni-sama." Kouga smiles and takes one last look at Inuyasha and winks at him, then leaves.
"Allow me to be the first to congratulate you, ani. I thought you'd never ask him." Shishio walked towards Inuyasha.
"Yeah. I wonder how this trip will turn out."
