Turns out I had to make this chapter a 3-part one. Ah well. ENJOY!

Kouga arrived at the dungeon and what he saw angered him to no end.
"Why is she still alive?" His words came out in a hiss.
"I left that up to you. You can do what you want with her." Sora came out from the shadows and stood next to her brother.
"Father wants to put her on trial, no doubt." Sora nodded her head in agreement.
"She doesn't deserve it. She's just like them." Both saw Nirah's face that was covered in blood because of it rushing to her head. It was coming out of every opening.
"H-he marked y-you. F-filthy...bastar-" Nirah's barely audible sentence was cut off by Kouga as he grabbed her throat. He immediately took out his pocket knife and pierced her side. A small yelp was heard from Nirah, since her throat was being squeezed.
"You almost took me away from the best thing that happened in my life. I WILL make you pay." Kouga yanked the knife out from the wound he made. He turned towards Sora.
"Got a spare sword?" he asked her.
Sora unsheathed her sword and handed it to Kouga. "Just use mine."
Kouga took the sword and pocket knife and went to work.

*3 hours later*
Celestine had gathered the tribe in a local meeting place to hold the trial.
"Today, Nirah, daughter of Delia, will be tried for attempted murder and endangering innocent lives. If found guilty she will either be shunned from the tribe or put to death by stoning." Celestine's voice was heard throughout the tribe. Delia hung her head in shame.
"I will get the prisoner. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves."
As Celestine entered the dungeon, he couldn't believe his eyes.
"By the gods...what ...have you...done??!"
There was blood everywhere. Along the walls, the ceiling, and especially on Sora and Kouga. Celestine found Nirah's body mutilated beyond recognition. Her innards were in different places in the dimly lit room.
The body part that was intact was her right leg, that was left dangling on the chain hanging down from the ceiling.
"She begged for her life. She wanted to be forgiven for her sins. Nothing in this realm or any other realm could've saved her." Kouga was off to the side, sitting on his knees. His hair was covering his face.
"She was dead two hours and 45 minutes ago, even after we took out her intestines." Sora was standing on Celestine's left. Her hair also covered her face as she looked down.
"Wh-why..." Celeestine held back tthe urge to vomit. The smell of decomposure and death tugged at his stomach.
"She deserved so much more than what we gave her. Elizabeth..." Kouga lamentated on the memory of his late best friend.
"You are no better than those who took her life." Sora and Kouga turned towards their father.
"You took her life without a thought. You're no better than the people who took Elizabeth's life! And you broke your blood oath." Sora and Kouga hung their heads in shame.
"You're right, father. H-how...wh-what have we done??" Kouga looked at his hands, which were covered in blood.
"I need to tell the tribe something. They're getting restless, no doubt. Wash, and we'll discuss this later." Celestine stepped out into the fresh air, thanking the gods for the clean air.
"We need to clean up this place." Sora said. Kouga nodded.

Celestine returned to the awaiting crowd.
"Attention! I must announce that..." Celestine looked into the crowd. He was hesistant to reveal what happened.
"Nirah has escaped and has fled the village." Gasps and murmurs could be heard in the crowd.
"She must have escaped during the night."
'I hope I'm doing the right thing.' Celestine thought.

Kouga and Sora returned to the hut unnoticed by anyone. Inuyasha was staring out the window and saw the two walk in. He was horrified at the blood that coered their bodies.
"What happened?!"
"Long story. Let's take a shower. I'll tell you there. Sora, you'll be okay?" he asked his sister.
"Yeah. I'll be fine. I'll head back to the room."
After a long shower and explanation, the two settled onto the futon Inuyasha was laying on.
"It serves her right. Her jealousy was taking her off the deep end." Inuyasha said with a scowl on his face.
The door opened and Sora, Sesshoumaru, and Celestine entered. Kouga and Inuyasha quickly stood up.
"What happened at the trial?" Kouga asked.
"I lied. For your mistakes. Never again." Celestine noticed a mark on both his son's neck and Inuyasha's. He stepped forward and roughly tilted Kouga's neck to the left.
"You marked each other." Celestine let go of Kouga's face and looked toward his daughter. "Did you know they were going to do this?"
"No I didn't. I saw them after they had done it."
"She's telling the truth, Didi. I never told her, and I never thought about doing it until you told Inuyasha that we wouldn't be joined in the tribe." Kouga added. Celestine sighed.
"Too much has happened in the last eight hours." He started to rub his temple. "I will join the two of you in a private marital ceremony. It will be the seven of us. Speaking of which, where is Shishio and Aoji?"
"They're sleeping, Celestine. Shishio had nightmares about his past again." Sesshoumaru answered. Inuyasha's face was filled with worry.
"I'll be back." Inuyasha left in search of Shishio.
He found the two sleeping in the hut they were assigned to. Aoji was sleeping while sitting and Shishio had his head on his lap. Aoji opened his eyes when he heard someone come in.
"It's just me. I wanted to check on Shishio."
"You know about the dreams, don't you?" Aoji asked. Inuyasha nodded.
"He's been having them since he killed his father." Aoji was surprised by the statement. "He'll tell you what happened when he is up to it."
Shishio began to stir and opened his eyes. "Ani?" Shishio stood up and walked to Inuyasha. He wrapped his arms around his middle and let his tears fall. Inuyasha stroked his little brother's head to calm him down.
"We all need to talk. About what happened in your past, what happened a few hours ago, and what will happen next." Inuyasha stated. Shishio looked up.
"I...I don't think I'm ready to...to talk about..." Shishio diverted his eyes to the ground. Aoji stood up and approached the pair.
"If you don't tell me about the demons that haunt you, how can I protect you?" Aoji wiped Shishio's wet cheeks with his thumb. "Beloved, let me protect you. Let us protect you."
"Aoji..." Shishio left the arms of Inuyasha and buried his face into his lover's chest. His shoulders heaved from the sobs, the pain, and the sadness he held with in his being.
