Inuyasha sat at on a stool. The large Sony headphones over his head. They didn't have to be on his ears for him to hear the music. When he did concerts he actually had to put ear plugs in. He took a quick glance over what was in front of him. A large mixing board. He knew what to do and how to do it. He looked back over at Kagome nodding that he was ready to add and change everything.

Kagome looked over at the rest of the group. Making sure they were ready. The music began to play and Kagome let it flow through her. The synthesized beats and sounds made her want to dance. Which, giving the job, she knew how to do very well. So when she felt the beat get to her even more, she went for it, still making sure not to screw up the recording.

Sango, being the back-up singer did her part as well. Being the second voice herd on the track.

With the job done Kagome relaxed. This was the first prewritten song that was actually any good. Maybe it was because the group was finally all together. Kagome put the sheet in front in back as did the rest of the group. Everyone looked it over.

"Wow, Sango, this is really good." Kagome said. Inuyasha came out from the booth, his hands in his pockets. "Let me see." He said. Kagome handed him hers. He looked up at Sango. "You wrote this?"

"Yah, right after Kagome told me that she felt like you were everywhere and how she wished she could just vanish without a trace."

"I don't think I should be the one to sing it." Kagome said. "You should." She said to Sango who shook her head.

"It would sound better in your voice. Plus, you did inspire it."

"But Sango…" Kagome sighed knowing it would be useless. "Are you sure?"

"Tell you what. Buy a few drinks later and we call it even." Sango said with a wink.

"Deal." Inuyasha said. Kagome looked at him. "I'll pitch in."

Kagome rolled her eyes. "Uh, yah you will." She said to his retreating back.

Inuyasha's ear twitch. "I herd that."

"No kidding, I said it right to you." She said while Inuyasha picked up a guitar from the shelf after looking them over quickly. He pulled up a stool and plugged the guitar into the jack.

He did a quick tuning and began to play a line. Getting used to it.

He looked over a nodded. "Ready." He said. Koga banged the sticks together again.

Played the fool today

Inuyasha's mind was on auto pilot. He imagined a vast field with only him and Kagome in it. That's how beautiful the song sounded to him.

Kagome sat up at the bar while waiting for their drunks. They were in a club that only plays the newest rave hits, which was great for everyone but Inuyasha who had more ear plugs in his ears than the store had in stock.

Kagome felt a hand on her shoulder and she nearly full out of the stool.

"Jesus Inuyasha! Don't scare me like that!" She yelled, hugging him.

"I've only been calling your name for the past seven minutes." He yelled over the loud music.

Kagome softened. "Sorry. Couldn't hear you calling me."

Inuyasha scoffed when she turned back around to face the bar. He rubbed the beads the hung around his neck a little before taking his chances. He put his arms around her as she faced away. "Inuyasha, what are you doing?" She asked.

"Doing what I've been wanting to do for the past two weeks." He said in her ear. Kagome leaned back into him until the drinks came and he helped bring them to the table.

Kagome took one slip of her drink and she was hooked.

3 Hours Later

"Well, I'm heading home." Sango said. Miroku behind her. "Yah me too. Need a ride Shippo?"

"Nah, I don't live too far away. I feel like going for a run anyway."

"See you guys." Inuyasha said. Then to Shippo. "Have you seen Kagome anywhere?"

Shippo thought for a moment. "She was at the bar not to long ago. She was talking to some guy."

"Oh."

Inuyasha began heading to the bar when a sudden smell hit his nose.

That smells like Kagome… but it's different… is she drunk?

Inuyasha arrived at the bar just in time to see Kagome collapse into a guys arms. Inuyasha's heart rate quickened. Kagome? You are drunk.

But then something else went into his mind when the guy had a smile and waved over a friend. Another girl. They helped Kagome up.

Oh, no you don't. They didn't get two feet from the bar. "I'll take her." Inuyasha said. The guys eyes narrowed. "And who are you?"

"A friend."

"No your not. You're one of those predator guys."

Inuyasha raised his eye brows. "Am I now."

"Yes."

"And how can you be so sure.?"

"Because I am her brother-in-law. That's how."

Kagome didn't say anything. Her head hadn't moved. She passed out.

"I'll give you ten seconds to unhand her." Inuyasha snarled, keeping his temper in check. The man passed Kagome on to his friend and got right in Inuyasha's face.

Big mistake. Big mistake. Inuyasha thought.

"And if I don't? What the hell will you do?"

Inuyasha didn't flinch as the man breathed on him.

"This is your last chance." Inuyasha warned through clenched teeth.

He cared for Kagome. He wanted her to be his. This man was not going to get in the way of that.

The man's fist was suddenly headed for Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha grabbed it with ease, stepping aside and flipping the man.

That got Shippo's attention who came over to see what was going on. While the man was getting up Inuyasha told Shippo to get Kagome out to his car. Inuyasha tossed the key's over. Shippo went over to the girl and took Kagome from her. The girl followed them out there.

The man was now back on his feat and people were watching on as the man whipped blood away from his mouth.

"You'll pay for that." He said. Lunging for Inuyasha again. The fighting combined with the music made people start to cheer Inuyasha on.

The man was again, thrown to the floor by Inuyasha. And once again, like a complete moron, the man got back up. Going for Inuyasha again. This time Inuyasha grabbed the man's arm as he went past. Inuyasha forced the man onto his knees and Inuyasha dug his knee in the small of the man's back. Inuyasha leaned down on one foot and whispered to the man.

"The good thing about being a hanyou. I can protect my women, and kill those who threaten her without getting into any trouble. Now tell me… what did you slip her."

"Go ahead and kill me. I don't care." The man hissed. Inuyasha dug his knee in further.

"If anything happens to her because of this I will hunt you down. I will dig my claws into your skin and I will rip out your still beating heart. Am I clear."

People were watching intently now.

The man only nodded and Inuyasha let him up. He took one more step and lunged at Inuyasha again. The half dog demon smelled fear on the man and dodged the attack. The man had just gone past when Inuyasha grabbed his arm and flung him over his shoulder. The man landed with a loud 'thud' and started to get back up… until Inuyasha drew a gun on him. "Don't move." He shouted to the bartender. "Call the cops." Inuyasha put the gun away and picked up the man.

"Can I borrow this?" Inuyasha said to a women with a purse, pointing at the strap. He tied the man up and sat him in a stool.

Inuyasha found Kagome's drink on the bar. He lifted it to his nose and sniffed it.

Damn. It was one of those rape drugs after all. I'll have to watch her for a day or so.

He set the drink back down and headed for the parking lot. Staring at the man that sat still on the stool. "Fool." He scoffed.

Meanwhile

Shippo had gotten Kagome into the car and had locked it successfully. He turned around and was met with the barrel of a gun. "Oh, shit."

"Give me the keys." The women demanded.

I have to protect Kagome… she would for me.

"No."

Shippo didn't see Inuyasha leave the club.

"Give me the keys." She demanded again.

When she shoots me… who's going to protect Kagome?

"No." Shippo's eyes narrowed.

Inuyasha crouched behind a car. Drawing back out the weapon he had drawn only moments before. Shippo now saw Inuyasha out of the corner of his eye.

Inuyasha nodded at him. He understood.

The women clicked back the hammer. Pressing the gun to his head.

"Ok! Ok! Just don't hurt me. I have a family!" He lied. The girl smiled.

"Good." Shippo reached slowly behind his back. He grasped the handle of the black object behind his back.

It's a good thing I brought this after last time we were attacked. He thought.

Flashback

Shippo sat in his house alone. He was waiting for Kirara to come over. Kirara was a friend of Sango's that Sango thought had a thing for him. As he sat there, there was knock at the door. Opening it Shippo had a gun pressed to his head.

Great. I just become famous with Kagome and now I'm being robbed.

"The money in the safe now."

Shippo did as he was told. Knowing a single wrong move and it all ended in a flash.

They had gotten away with the money and tied him up. Kirara had found him an hour later.

"Come on hurry up!" The women said. Shippo snapped back to reality.

Thinking for a moment, he hissed and bared his fangs. This distracted the women for a moment. Shippo took his chances and drew his gun. Thrusting it up into the women's stomach. Her eyes went wide.

She was about to hit Shippo when she was pushed to the ground. Inuyasha was now behind her with his gun drawn.

Kagome was oblivious, passed out in the back seat of the car.

"The police are on there way." Inuyasha hissed.

"I'll take that." Shippo said. Taking the gun with a claw and putting it on the roof of the car.

Inuyasha made the women put her hands on the car and stay like that.

"Since when did you ever have a gun Shippo?"

"Ever since I got robbed last year. Kirara made me buy one."

"Wasn't that…"

"Yup. What about you? When did you get one?"

"Not long ago. I have to protect Kagome and swords aren't really aloud in clubs."

The police cars pulled up. Two cops drew their weapons on Inuyasha and Shippo. Another went into the club to get the other guy.

"Drop your weapons!"

Inuyasha groaned. Shippo did too. Putting his up on the hood of the car.

"I have a license!" Inuyasha called back. "Meet too!" Shippo yelled. Leaning on the car, his arms folded. "You can take it out after the gun is on the car." One cop yelled. His eyes fixed on the golden eyed hanyou.

Inuyasha groaned and tossed his up there. "Hold her." He said to Shippo who held the women's hands behind her back.

"I'm going to reach into my top coat pocket and take out my wallet. Then he will do the same." Inuyasha said. His hands slowly went in and out. Revealing a leather wallet. Shippo did the same with his free hand, giving it to Inuyasha who gave it to the cops who finally put their guns away.

"We were told there was a fight. Was it you?" A cop asked, as their friend dragged the other man out of the club. Inuyasha nodded. "Yah, they attacked Kagome." He said. Pointing to the passed out women in the back of the mustang. "Does she need medical assistance?"

"No. Just a good nights rest. Can I go now?"

Inuyasha got Kagome home safely after thanking Shippo. "Little runts grown up." He said. Making sure not to hit Kagome's head as he carried her bridal style through the door. He laid her on the bed and took off her shoes. He went into the bath room to get a wet cloth and turned around to see Kagome behind him.

"Ah!" Inuyasha yelled. The cloth sailed through the air and landed on his ears.

Kagome only giggled. "Hello there cutie." She said. Pinching his ears.

Great. She's drugged and drunk.

"Kagome go back to bed." Inuyasha said. Wetting the cloth again.

"Only if you'll come with me and were both naked." Kagome giggled.

If only she was sober and saying that. Inuyasha wished to himself.

"Kagome. Bed. Now." He said sternly. Laying her on the covers.

"I won't stay here unless you stay here with me." Kagome said. Sitting up.

Inuyasha sighed and layed down next to her.

Make the best of it.

He put his arms around her and soon fell asleep.
