Kyoko walked back into her house. She closed the door quietly. She looked around her home. It was dark and cold. She saw Kirara bound down the stairs, meowing at her. Kyoko smiled as she scooped her up in her arms. The house was quiet. She guessed that her brother was away.
She felt exhausted. She has never used that much power for that long. She sighed. Man is she tired! Kyoko climbed up the stairs and went to her room. She flopped onto her bed and went to sleep in ten seconds. Kirara turned around a few times and lied down by her head.
A few hours in her sleep, Kyoko twisted and turn. She started to sweat and whimper. Kirara woke up and nudged against her head.
~In the dream~
Kyoko was in a haze. She can barely see anything. It wasn't as heavy as in Jii-Chan's mind, but it was pretty grave. The fog was cold and damp. The clothes she was wearing was clinging to her skin. Her hair was stuck to her neck.
She looked down and saw that she was holding a bow and on her back were arrows. The bag that was holding the arrows seemed ancient.
The girl looked around. In her mind, she was thinking, `Why am I here? What am I looking for? Why am I holding this weapon?'
Her body seemed to move automatically without her knowing. She couldn't stop at all; her body was seemed to have a mind of its own. She didn't like this at all.
Kyoko's body stopped. Then, it turned to her right. She raised her bow and she grabbed an arrow. She notched it position. Her eyes look dead straight ahead. There was a person standing behind a think cloud. Its eyes were red and she could faintly see the person smirking. The person started to cackle and she let go of the arrow. Before the arrow struck, the cloud dissipated and saw it was her brother.
Her eyes were wide and screamed, “No!”
~End dream~
Kyoko sat straight in her bed and took in a deep breath. She was thinking over of what she dreamt. Why was she shooting an arrow at her brother? Surely her brother isn't the new evil. She would have sensed it since she trained with Kaede. Unless it was that one time she told him that their father died.
“No, it can't be. I refuse to believe this! Ugh, why do I always have dreams about the new evil? First, it was InuYasha and now its this new evil,” she said to herself.
She saw Kirara looking at her with big concerned eyes. Kyoko laid a hand on her head and rubbed it. Then she started to sob.
“Why, why me? Why do I have to the reincarnation of Kagome? Why couldn't I have a normal life like every other girl? It's not fair, its not!” she cried, “This is too much that this girl can take.”
She started to hiccup. She rolled her eyes and flopped back down to her bed. She started to flail her arms and legs. “My life is a living hell!”
Kirara looked to both sides and walked away.
