Soul Survivor - Chapter 5
By Majicman55
Disclaimer: No, I certainly do not own any of the characters in InuYasha.
Kagome sat in Kaede's hut with the elder miko and Miroku. She had requested that the others leave, explaining that she needed to talk with just those two about a matter most personal. She had thought about having Sango stay, but asked her to keep Shippo busy instead.
“What seems to be the matter, child?” asked Kaede.
“InuYasha's being a baka again?” asked the monk.
“No…it's me,” answered Kagome. “I think I'm becoming like Miroku.”
“Whatever do you mean, Kagome?” asked the monk. Miroku was puzzled, yet a little proud that Kagome would emulate him.
Kagome blushed intensely and turned towards Miroku. “I'm doing perverted things without knowing it.”
One of Miroku's eyebrows arched. “I see.” So much for being proud.
“What sort of things, child?”
“I woke up this morning with InuYasha snuggled into my back.”
“What's wrong with that?” asked Kaede.
“We were…connected.”
“Nothing wrong with that, Kagome,” said Miroku. “As a man of the world, I can assure you that lots of couples sleep that way.” The monk shifted his position slightly. “In fact, lots of children have been conceived in that fashion.”
“No, you don't understand.” Kagome blushed crimson. “There would have been no possibility of a pregnancy connected that way.”
“But…that would mean...”
The confused look on Miroku's face cleared. “I…see.” Miroku shifted again. He didn't want Kagome to see the rather noticeable tent that had begun to form in his priest's robes. Now, if only he could get himself to stop staring at her while imagining…
“Child!” exclaimed Kaede. “You mean you allowed InuYasha to…”
“Yes,” exclaimed Kagome. “And the worst thing is…I enjoyed it!”
“Must concentrate on Kaede's ass,” thought Miroku. It was the only thing he could think of to relieve the swelling.
“This morning wasn't the first time we woke up this way. And when I reminded InuYasha of that, he started thrusting into me, faster and faster, harder and harder.”
Kaede was fanning herself. Miroku had given up trying to stop his own reaction, concentrating instead on shifting to hid the problem, and taking mental notes.
“I'm ashamed to say it, but I found myself pushing back.”
Kaede's one good eye was bulging. Miroku was sitting in the lotus position, leaning well forward, with a cover thrown over his lap.
“He reached around me with one hand and massaged me until I…until I lost all control.” Kagome looked down. “Then I felt him filling me.” Kagome looked at Kaede with tears in her eyes. “I don't know what came over me, but I enjoyed it!”
Kaede was slowly able to settle down, although she was panting and fanning herself. She had a faraway look in her eyes.
“Are…are you okay, Kaede?” asked Kagome.
“I'm sure she will be okay in a minute, Kagome,” said Miroku, who was wondering how he was going to get out of the hut without embarrassing himself. All in all, he was glad InuYasha and his sensitive nose weren't there. He most assuredly would have been beaten the monk to a pulp.
“It's not like me to do these things, Miroku,” sobbed Kagome. “I mean, sure I had thought about them. InuYasha says I asked for it…that we went to sleep ready to do it when we woke up…and that, this last time, I kept asking for it harder and faster.” The poor girl was practically in tears. “But I really don't remember.”
“Ye say ye don't recall some things, child?” Kaede's breathing was finally almost back to normal.
“I don't. Kagome told Kaede and Miroku about the feelings she had after Kikyo died, about the episode saving the boy with knowledge she didn't know she had, about fainting when she left the well house, and about several other occasions when she seemed to lose hours at a time. “I even told my friends about making love with InuYasha!”
“They're your close friends. You might tell them some things.”
“That's not the point! I don't remember telling them. They say I even talked about stopping my birth control pills! They don't know we're already mates. Now they think I'm trying to trap him!” Kagome gathered herself together. “What can you two tell me about what I might have gotten back from Kikyo, along with the rest of my soul?”
“What do ye mean, child?”
“I think I know,” said Miroku. “You're wondering if any part of Kikyo now resides within you.”
Kagome nodded.
“My sister wouldn't have taken it up the…!” Kaede stopped herself and blushed. “She just wouldn't.”
Both Miroku and Kagome looked at Kaede. It was the monk who spoke. “What if she thought Kagome would wake up to it?”
All three sat in silence for a moment.
Finally Kaede spoke. “I wish to try something.” The old miko got up and toddled over to her herbs, picking out one, which she quickly made into a potion. “Drink this,” she said, handing a cup to Kagome.
“What is it?” Kagome asked.
“A mild sedative,” answered Kaede. “I want ye to go to sleep for a few minutes. I wish to see what happens when ye wake.”
“Alright.” Kagome lay down on a sleeping mat and was soon snoring lightly. The potion had done its job.
“Now, Miroku,” said Kaede. “Hurry and bring your wife back with ye. She may be of assistance in this.”
“But how?” said the monk as his hand crept towards the sleeping girl.
Kaede gave the monk a stern look.
Miroku looked at his own hand and drew it back suddenly. Old habits died hard. “I'm going, I'm going.”
******************
Half an hour later, all was set. Miroku and Sango sat on one side of Kagome. Kaede sat on the other. Kaede was about to wake Kagome when…
<SLAAAPPPPPP>
“Why are you suddenly playing with my butt again, hentai?”
“I'm sorry, Sango, dear.”
Kaede fixed Miroku with a glare, then returned to waking Kagome.
“Kagome? Kagome.” Kaede shook the young girl lightly. “Ye fell asleep, child.”
“Mm-hmmm?”
“Wake up. Sango and Miroku are here.”
Kikyo pushed herself up into a sitting position, yawned and stretched. She looked around. “Greetings, Sango. Miroku.”
“Hello, Kagome,” answered Sango.
“How long was I asleep?”
“Ye were very tired, child. Ye slept several hours,” said Kaede.
“I have not had much sleep lately.”
“Indeed,” said Kaede.
Miroku spoke up. “You were telling us about how you and InuYasha were thinking of starting a family.”
Kikyo's eyebrow shot up. She frowned slightly, then smiled. “Yes, we think it is time.”
“I thought you wanted to finish school.”
“Yes, after school.”
“But then there was college.”
“Ah. Yes. College.”
“And the Noh.”
“The Noh. Of course.”
“What are you talking about?” shouted Sango. “It's almost like you're leading her on! This is Kagome! She doesn't have any interest in theater! She…”
Kikyo was staring at Kaede and Miroku. “You tricked me.”
Kaede gasped. “K-Kikyo? Is that you?”
Kikyo sat up. “It is.”
Miroku and Sango both recoiled.
“You…you're dead,” said Sango.
“The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated.”
“What do you want, Kikyo?” asked Miroku. “Did you plan this?”
“No, sister, I did not plan it. I fully intended to go to my rest, but now I find myself living in this body.” She made a little flourish over herself. “It's a very nice body, really. I've enjoyed it.”
“Of course, InuYasha doesn't know about this,” said Miroku.
“Ah, InuYasha. Still as thick as ever. And to think I wanted to change him into a full human. Not anymore, though.”
“And why not?” asked Kaede.
“Dear, dear sister. The first time I truly woke up as Kikyo, it was the middle of the night and before I knew what was happening, InuYasha was having his way with me. Of course he thought I was Kagome. But then, why wouldn't he? Same body, same scent, same…marks.”
“So you let him go ahead,” gasped Sango.
“I wasn't fully awake, yet. And, I must say, InuYasha is an excellent lover. I wouldn't change him for the world, now.”
“But it's not right, Kikyo,” said Sango.
“What would you have me do about it? I did not try to take over Kagome by choice. All I know is that every time one of us falls asleep, the other awakens.” Kikyo smirked. “The other day, I even had to go to her school and put up with her silly friends. Kagome's going to have some explaining to do.”
“We already heard about it,” said Miroku.
Kaede looked at her Kagome and saw her sister in Kagome's eyes. “Are ye planning on taking over Kagome's body?”
“I do not know.”
“What do you mean?” asked Miroku.
“I mean that I do not know what will happen. It may not be up to me, after all.”
“We will tell Kagome about this.”
“I did not think you wouldn't.”
“So that was you playing jokes on her” said Miroku.
Kikyo sighed. “I knew it was a mistake, but I couldn't resist.” She turned to her sister. “I do not know what is wrong with me. I have all these strong feelings…and I don't mind InuYasha's being a hanyou anymore. There must be something wrong with me.”
“I don't think there's anything wrong with ye, sister,” said Kaede. “I think that now that you are alive and vital. I wouldn't be surprised if you and Kagome are rubbing off on each other.”
“Will you tell InuYasha about this?”
“We will talk with Kagome first and see what she wants.”
“Fair enough. But be warned. Now that I have tasted the pleasures of life through her body, I will be…reluctant…to leave it.”
“Sister!”
“I will go to sleep now so you can talk with Kagome.” Kikyo smiled. “You can tell her for me that I've enjoyed using her body.”
The old miko scowled. “One last thing, Kikyo,” said Kaede.
“Mm-hmmm?”
“Are ye truly aiming to get Kagome pregnant?”
Kikyo was falling back into a drugged sleep. “Why not?” She yawned. “InuYasha wants it and, deep down, so does Kagome.”
“Kikyo?”
All that could be heard was a soft snoring.
******************
Well, what do we do now?” asked Sango.
“I'm not sure,” answered Kaede. “I have heard of a re-fusion spell, but as far as I know it is only used to help someone whose soul is so confused that it tries to go in two different directions.
“I have heard of this spell,” said Miroku. I must meditate and think about how it might be used to help Kagome-sama.
Sango looked at her sleeping friend. Do you think it's been long enough to wake her?
“Aye.”
******************
“Kagome? Kagome?” Kaede shook the young miko's shoulder.
“Mm-hmmm?”
“Time to wake up, Kagome.”
“Sango. When did you get here?”
“I have been here for the past half hour. We have something to tell you, Kagome,” said the taijiya.
By the look on her friend's face, Kagome knew it was serious. “I can take it,” she said. “Tell me.”
“It's Kikyo. She's back.”
A/N: With the help of her friends, Kagome has finally figured it out. Not sure if she's going to be pleased that it's not simple psychological problems, though. This could be worse!
Will Kagome tell InuYasha? What will he do is she does? At least Kaede and Miroku have an idea of how to help Kagome, but will this re-fusion spell work?
As noted, previously, this is a rewrite.
As always, please read and review. And thanks!
