The plane ride wasn't to joyful, Kagome spent most of her time sleeping on Sango's shoulder.

Besides that she was looking out the window thinking about what she would do when they got to

the island they were suppose to be landing on. Because there was a little twist she and the other

students in her class weren't too pleased about it. Their teacher, Mr. Sampson, had told them once

they were all seated on the plane that another school, Senshi High, was taking their classes to that

island as well.

Senshi High and Kagome's school weren't all that close, but they've heard of each other, she was

sure of that, well...she knew that she and her classmates heard enough about that school to be

more an familiar with them. That school was known for its high grades, but mostly for all their

awards for sporting events, and also their high population of VERY gifted students. What do they

mean about 'gifted'? The school was mostly population were youkai, and normal people with

strange gifts, also a odd hanyou was spotted around every now and then.

Kagome had smiled to herself every time she thought about them. She wondered what it was like

to be 'gifted' in that manner. She never really liked to use the word gifted though, it seemed rude

in a way. She thought of them as normal people, sure, she knew some like that who were from her

school, hell, two on them were sitting in front of her and Sango for the whole trip, but she never

really got to talk to one or get to know one as close friends.

Now, Kagome was standing in a crowded hallway of an island hotel trying not to get trampled.

She looked over at Sango. "Do you think we'll live long enough to even see our room?!" she

gasped.

"I highly doubt it." Sango said with a sly smile.

"OK! OK!" Mr. Sampson raised up his hands. "Senshi High is already here, and you will have to

share rooms with them. Now, Sango you will be in cabin twenty, and kagome will be in cabin

twenty five, sorry girls." he tossed them out their keys.

"Perfect." Kagome picked up her bag and made her way out of the hotel. "Where are the cabins?"

"Down by the beach, come on." Sango walked on ahead of Kagome. "I think this should be fun,

don't you think so too?"

"It all depends who we are paired up with to be roommates with from Senshi High." Kagome

answered as she finally made it to cabin twenty five. "I'll see you down on the beach."

"OK, good luck, Kagome." Sango walked off.

Kagome sighed and opened the already unlocked door and walked in. "Hello? Anyone in here??"

She called. No answer. She shrugged and walked on in. "I guess I better get my room..." she

walked over to a door just outside the cabins livingroom and opened it; she peered in. There were

already bags in there, and half of it was unpacked. "OK...they beat me to it..." she continued her

way down the hallway and opened another door. This room was untouched, it had a queen-sized

bed, a dresser, closet, patio door with curtains to haul across it, a small one person couch. and a

window on the ceiling. "This looks like its going to be my room." she dropped her bag.

No sooner did the bag hit the ground then Kagome saw a clawed hand rush up from behind and

cover her mouth. Her eye widened and her breath was cut off, who was it? She was then spun

around by her captor, who held her firmly around the wrist. She looked up and found herself

looking into brilliant golden eyes. It was a boy, a hanyou, around her age, he had long white hair

and small dog ears which sprouted on the top of his head. His smirk held two perfectly sharpened

fangs. He was wearing black baggy pants and a red t-shirt with black trimming. "What are you

doing here?"

Kagome quickly hauled out the key Mr. Sampson had given her. "Th-this...um..my teacher g-gave

it to me...he said I was to stay in this cabin..."

"Oh...its one of you from that other school." the hanyou let Kagome go and retired out into the

livingroom.

"Hey, wait." Kagome ran after him.

"Nani?" the hanyou turned around to look at her, his eyes narrowing.

"I'm Kagome...I guess that since we will be staying with each other over Spring Break we might

as well know each others names...right?" she looked at him with hopeful eyes.

The hanyou sighed and fell back down onto the couch. "I'm Inuyasha."

Kagome nodded. "OK...nice to meet you."

Inuyasha rolled his eyes. "Feh."
