A/N: Minasan, konnichi wa. For some reason, I have no reason to say anything right now… OH! * lol * For all you J-rockers out there, more specifically, the ones that like Dir En Grey, I found out something yesterday… Kyo, Shinya, and I have the same shoe sizes! Yay! Oh, and today, I was reading this interview of Dir en Grey, and there was this question. "What is your biggest accomplishment?" I thought it was so cute when Shinya said, "I don't have one. Maybe when I become a father." Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter 5

"Now that I think about it, no. But I always thought that you hated him because he wanted your Tetsusaiga," said Kagome.

"Yeah, well, that too. But there's something that I never told anyone about. Let me explain."

"Ok, well, you know that I am a hanyou because my mother was a human and my father was a youkai. After my father died from battling Ryokotsusei, my mother took care of me. When she did, Sesshomaru would come to see me. Surprisingly, we got along fine. He felt happy because he had me as a little brother. I felt like I could trust him and tell him anything. But he had a problem about my mother being human. Maybe it was because she tainted the youkai bloodline, I didn't know. I was only a kid… Then one time, when I was thirteen, Sesshomaru visited as usual, but not with the look of cheerfulness I usually saw in his eyes everytime he saw me. This time, they were cold, and dark, just like they were before he died. And then out of nowhere, he slashed my mother's shoulder and left. My mom fell to the ground, and I held her. She sobbed and told me right before she passed, `Son, I love you with all of my heart. Please take care of yourself.' I found out later that his mother was killed by a demon exterminator, and that just escalated his hatred towards humans."

"How sad. I'm sorry," said Kagome quietly.

"Well, me too." Kagome gave Inuyasha a quick hug.

"Thank you for opening up to me," said Kagome. They both walked back to the hut. Kikyou looked through the bushes.

"Inuyasha never opened up to me like that before. How could she be able to soften his heart but not me? She's only a worthless human. She'll pay."

Several days later, Inuyasha was back on his feet and ready to collect more jewel shards.

"I'm fine, Kaede! Let me go, ya old hag!" exclaimed Inuyasha as he was trying to get out of the hut.

"Inuyasha, you baka, your wounds still have to heal!" said Kaede.

"I'm okay!"

"No, you're staying."

"Feh, I don't have to listen to you. Let's go!" Inuyasha said to the gang.

"Hey Inuyasha," called Kagome.

"What?"

"Sit, boy!" * thud *

"Ow! That frickin' hurt!" Inuyasha could have sworn Kagome smiled at him. He smiled back nervously. After a while, he thought that they should just stay for a few more days…

While everyone was sleeping, Kikyou emerged. She was planning to take Kagome to lure Inuyasha and make him watch her as she killed Kagome. Kikyou went inside of Kaede's hut. There, she saw Inuyasha sleeping.

"Don' worry. You'll see her die, forget about her, realize that you didn't need her, and run back to me, begging for forgiveness." Kaede, taking a midnight stroll around the village, making sure that everything was in order, came back to her hut and saw Kikyou.

"Kikyou?! What are ye doing here?"

"Kaede!"

"Stay away! You will not harm anyone!"

"Silence!" Kikyou used one of her charms to hurt Kaede. She was rendered temporarily paralyzed and unconscious. Kikyou put a charm on Kagome, making sure she would enter a deep sleep, and ran away with her as quickly as possible. By the time Kaede recovered, the sun was starting to rise.

"It's been hours since Kagome was taken away. Heaven only knows what's happened to her since then!" Kaede exclaimed.

"Everyone, wake up!"

"What's wrong, old woman?" asked Inuyasha groggily.

"It's Kagome. She was taken away by Kikyou!"

"WHAT?!" Now Inuyasha was up and ready to go.

"Inuyasha, do something!" demanded Sango. "Uh… use your nose!" Inuyasha started sniffing around.

`Kagome's scent. It so… delicate. She smells like cherry blossoms," he thought. He put his mind into what he had to do.

"They went this way!" said Inuyasha as he pointed the direction. Everyone jumped on Kilala and went to save Kagome.

A/N: This chapter was kinda long for me to type. Well, I'm coming down with a cold, and Christmas is on Saturday. WHAT WILL I DO?! AND I GO TO L.A ON MONDAY! Oh well. I bounce back from colds fairly quickly. I probably won't update until after I get back, which will be around the 4th. HAPPY CHRISMAHANAKWANZAAKAH! * lol *
