Chapter One: Best Friend

"Stupid bitch, get out of MY fucking house!!", yelled the man at the crying teen. She looked as if she had been hit and her clothes were partially torn. Her father was obviously drunk and hitting his daughter, again. She stumbled out of the house and ran a few blocks down to her friend`s house.


"Sango!! Sango!!! Please open up!" She banged on the door and rang the bell like a crazy. Then a sleepy-eyed girl opened the door.

"Mmm..." She rubbed her eyes and yawned. She then came out of her sleepy state and her eyes widened. "Kagome? ... What's wrong?". She hugged her friend and led her to her room.

Kagome sat on the bed and sobbed. Sango was about to call Rin, until Kagome stopped her. "Don't call anyone...". Sango put the phone down at looked at her friend.

"Kagome..."

"........"

"Higurashi Kagome!" Sango shook her.

"WHAT...??"

"Tell me what happened!!" She looked at her. "Is was him...again?"

She sighed and looked away."Yeah....he was drunk again...." Sango`s face grew dark and she clenched her fist. 'That fucking drunk...' . She looked like she wanted to kill someone.

"Sango...can I please stay here tonight?"

She nodded. "Of COURSE DUMMY! Anything for you!". They both smiled.

"Thanks...but..." She eyed her friend.

"Don't worry, I won`t tell anyone!"

"And..."

"And I will not ask you ANY questions". She rolled her eyes and crossed her fingers.

"Good."

"Kagome, you don't happen to have any bruises like last time, right?", she blurted out and covered her mouth quickly. Kagome glared at her.

"SANGO!"

"It slipped!", she grumbled and plopped up on her bed.

They both yawned and giggled. "GOSH, I can't get mad at you!". Kagome hugged her friend.

"Yeah yeah, okay whatever, I'm tired as HELL.", she yawned again. "Sleep sounds SOOO good right now." They both laughed.

"Hey Sango?"

"Zzzzzzzz"

"You truly are a Best friend...". She smiled to herself and fell asleep. Little did Kagome know that Sango was awake and she smiled.

"You too, Kags..."

Oh and... one thing..... Kagome doesnt get abused.... well... actually come to think of it... she does get abused when her father drinks o.O .... but my intensions arent for her to be abused.
