"Time to get up, Suzuna. C'mon. Up." Kagome said softly to her daughter as she gently brushed back her bangs and kissed her forehead. "It's time for your first day of kintergarten."

Suzuna smiled. " 'Morning, Mommy." She said as she opened her eyes.

Kagome forced a smile so she couldn't tell how upset and depressed she really was. "Get dressed, sweetie. You don't want to be late on your first day of school."

"Okay, Mommy," Suzuna said, pushing back the covers and opened her closet. Kagome was about to leave when Suzuna asked,"Hey, Mommy! Which dress should I wear?"

Kagome couldn't help but smile. "The blue sundress with the sakura blossoms on it."

"Thanks!" Suzuna said as Kagome walked out of Suzuna's room. Kagome then walked downstairs and prepared breakfast for herself and Suzuna; two bowls of cereal; She decided to let her husband, Hojou, and her one year old son, Debido, sleep in . About four minutes later, Suzuna came running down the stairs, looking as cute as ever in her new sundress. "How do I look?" Suzuna asked, twirling.

"Beautiful," Kagome replied.

Suzuna giggled. "Thanks. And umm.... Mommy?"

"Yes, sweet-heart?"

"After I'm done eating my cereal, can you do my hair in a braid?"

"Yes, after you eat your cereal."

Suzuna's face lit up. She ran over to her mom and hugged her. "ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!" Suzuna thanked her mommy.

Kagome smiled, although it was faint, it was still there. "Your welcome. Don't forget, the sooner you eat, the sooner I can do your hair."

Kagome and Suzuna ate their cereal, and when they were done, Kagome Suzuna asked her mom if she could do her hair at that moment. Kagome nodded and Suzuna sat in her lap. Kagome took out a brush and started brushing Suzuna's waist-length, jet-black hair that she has gotten from her mother, and Kagome tried to avoid brushing Suzuna's dog ears because they were sensative and it hurt whenever Kagome brushed them. Kagome finished her daughter's hair in a nice, long braid.

"Alright, honey, it's done." Kagome said as soon as she had finished. Suzuna hopped out of her mother's lap and ran to the bathroom to look at herslef in the mirror. She looked at herself and her expression immidiately lit up. "Thank you mommy!" She yelled down the stairs.

"Your welcome, dear. Now, put on your shoes and brush your teeth and then I can drive you to school." Suzuna nodded her head and did as her mother told her to.

"I'm ready mommy!" Suzuna yelled down the stairs ten minutes later, as she admired herself in the mirror once more.

"Okay, come down here!" Kagome yelled upstairs. Suzuna did as she was told to and ran down the steps. Kagome picked up the cute puppy bookbag Suzuna had picked out the previous week, walked out the door, gestured for Suzuna to come out, and then locked it. Suzuna held her mommy's hand as they crossed the street and hopped into Kagome's car. It was a five minute drive to school, and the whole way there Kagome lectured Suzuna on how she should be nice to the other little girls and boys at her school. Suzuna promised that she wouldn't start any fights and then Kagome walked Suzuna into school and saw her teacher, Rubi Hikary, also one of Kagome's best friends.

"Hey, Rubi." Kagome greeted.

"Hey, Kag-chan. How are things going?" Rubi asked.

"Everything's okay. I'm still waiting for Inu-Yasha's child support check this month. It's late.... again." Kagome complained.

"Again? Oh my Kami, this is the fourth month it's been late. Have you talked to him about it yet?" Rubi asked.

"No, not yet. But I will, as soon as I get back home, I'm gonna call him and ask him about it. And while I'm at it, *sigh* I think I'll also ask him to stop calling excessivley and asking me to take him back."

"Kagome?" Rubi asked.

"Hmmmm...?"

"Do you still love Inu-Yasha?"

Kagome sighed. "Everytime I think of him, my stomache does a somersault, and my heart leaps. But what he did to me was unforgivable."

"Kagome, it was five years ago. No need to hold a grudge."

"It's not holding a grudge if you find him with some 14yr. old girl in your own bed after a hard night of work to support him and Suzuna." Kagome's eyes started to fill with tears.

Rubi looked at Kagome. "Sorry, Kagome. Didn't know it would bring back such horrid memories."

Kagome took out a kleenex and dabbed her eyes. "It's okay." Kagome said, and dabbed at her eyes again. "So, what grade is Rin going into?

"Seventh. I can't believe that she's already in 7th grade. She's becoming a young lady. And next year, Ritskae will be starting kintergarten. They grow up so fast... Anyway, how are things with Hojo?"

Kagome sighed. "Everything's fine. Inu-Yasha keeps calling, though, and Hojo is getting concerned that he might be stalking me."
