InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ sub conscious love ❯ Realizing...perhaps ( Chapter 1 )

Rin had always been talkative girl and was put in place by sesshomaru when she reached the limit. But recently she had started to become very quiet and she could feel Jakens eyes on her from time to time. They had become good friends, Rin and Jaken. But he was still mostly devoted to his lord.

It had been several years since he, Sesshomaru rescued her and took her under his wings to protect, although he didn't ever want to admit such a thing as protecting her.

He reasoned that he did save her if he had the time or could. He always played it cool, that inu youkai. But deep down inside something had been touched when he met Rin and he couldn't let her go just like that, she was a human so he despised her but still he had this wierd small feeling somewhere when something bad happened to her.

 

Rin was riding on Aun and was thinking about various things, among them were thoughts to this point unknown to her but shehad started to look at Sesshomaru in a diffrent way.

She still looked up to him and all that but she was feeling more attached to him and got sad when he left sometimes to fight Inuyasha or some youkai. She was beginning to see her guardian more like a very close friend. No, that wasn't it either, she shook her head.

She had once met an old lady, the mother of Jinenji, she had talked about love when Rin was after a herb to heal Jaken with. She never got the explanation of that word but she was begining to think that the word and it's meaning had something to do with this scenario.

Some weird kind of devotion perhaps, she didn't know for sure but didn't have time to think further since Aun had stopped. She looked around to see Jaken whispering something to his master who seemed to barely take notice of his presence.

Rin was almost seventeen now and her apperance made lots of men drool. She didn't show off or something but she had become a natural beaty with her simpel clothing.

She slid down from the monster and walked over to Sesshomaru and Jaken.

“Whats wrong, she whispered, cheeks red, Sesshomaru-sama?”

“Nothing you should bother about!” Jaken blurted out.

“Un”. She went back to Aun and started leading him instead.

Jaken still hadn't got used to her new style. Some years ago she would have started to argue about the matter, but now she just listened and accepted his words.

He even thought that he could sense Sesshomaru aura change at the faact about Rin. But of course he coludn't be sure since his lord had always been very coldhearted.

But the fact remained and the air was getting tensed.

“Let's rest here for tonight, Rin take care of Aun and get some food if you are hungry”. Those were Sesshomarus words and Rin just nodded and walked away towards the river nearby. Then he himself walked away in another direction without another word.

“Sesshomaru-sama! Wait for me!” Ha ran efter his master but bumped in to his leg as Sesshomaru had stopped.

“Wait at the camp, Jaken”.Jakens face was sad, his lord was still being so cold and distant to him, afterr all theese years. But I guess there is nothing I can do more than obey his orders. He sighed and went back to camp.

Sesshomaru didn't want company on his journey, still he had ended up with one annoying Jaken and a human.....Rin. Her name had a weird... Ah whatever! Why was he even thinking about her, why did he save her when she was in trouble? Did he have a plan in the back of his mind, which he had not yet come to realize himself?

Was he planning on using her some time? He didn't know for sure since he felt strange when she wasn't around. He swore that he wasn't going to be like his damned father to whom fell in love with a human, such a disgrace to the family. A filthy human! But still, he had let one of those filthy things followinghim for several years now, didn't that mean anything, could he possibly be turning to be like his father? No never! It wasn't like that!

Sesshomaru-sama still looked so cold. But in his mind he contiued to argue about this atter until he woke up from his inner discussion and found that he had not wandered to where he had intended to from the beginning. Instead ha had turned up at the river bank. He looked up at the clear sky with his yellow eyes and watched the beautiful moon shining down with it's silvery, glowing light. He made a slight jump when he heard some noise from the river further down the stream. He made it with his usual slow pace into the forest and followed the sound. The closer he got the more nervous he felt. Why was he nerous again? He smelled the air and realized that it was Rins scent.

Why was she still out here in the dark alone? He began to make his way towards her when he saw her, there in the river. He swalloed some saliva and punished himself inwards for being such a baka!

He also realized that the mind drabbling he had with himself on his way here was because that he had smelled her all the time and his feet led him here, and all this he must have done sub consciously but at the same time since he had argued with himself over Rin. He sure wasn't just a full blood youkai but a full blood baka!

He snapped out of his own lesson and watched Rin, she was in the river, taking a bath, so he supposed that she was naked. That thought made him feel warm, but just slightly, and still it was enough for him to withstand. With the pride that was left he walked away back to the camp trying not think of Rin and what could have been a beautiful scene if he didn't dislike humans or was so cold hearted. He decided that he didn't care.

For now he needed some rest, maybe it could be nice listening to Jakens complains, just maybe. He smiled that wicked smile and felt a little more comfortable with himself.
