Chapter 2, enjoy!

 

 

Rin stood there in the bloody cold river, shaking all over herself. She thought she'd heard some noise but ignored it and had continued to wash herself. Her mind travelled to Sesshomaru and she sighed. Why, cause she didn't know what to believe.

She had made long journeys with him and Jaken and he had always protected her since the day he revived her, for that she was greatful. But still...... Rin began to feel warm and peaceful, that “but” clinging, fading away like a winds whisper. It was about then Rin realized she was still in the river! She couldn't feel her toes, her legs were almost out as well.

She wasn't the cursing type so she worried instead. Trying to get up and out of the water she began looking for her clothes and spotted them were she left them earlier. The beautiful girl ran as best as she could and dried herself upp quick so that she could put on the clothes and get back to (“Sesshomaru”) the camp. She stopped for a while and tasted his name on her tounge, it sounded really good, she happily smiled to herself and then made her way back picking up Aun along the way from were she left the monster to eat peacefully on it's own.

 

Rin found herself being stared at by jaken. She could se that he was under great pressure, probably because he wanted to yell something to her or beacuse he didn't want Sesshomaru to kill him if he found out that Rin had been away for so long. Sesshomaru had been here just a while ago but had then said that he intended to go somewhere and clear things up.

“What have you been doing all this time?” His expression told her that he had been slightly worried about her.

“Rin have been taking a bath Jaken-sama”, she answered shyly.

“That would explain why you are almost blue and shaking like a leaf!”

“Am I?” She looked down her legs and could se that she actually was trembling.

“Now you're going to catch a cold and delay Sesshomaru-sama!” Jaken continued to babble about various things she had done to delay them and what so ever. It didn't bother her, because she wasn't paying any attention to him any longer.

She had stopped listening when he had said Sesshomarus name Rin did not want to be a burden to him.

“Gomen…”she whispered, but it was enough for Sesshomaru to hear it. He had never left, just wanted to be alone for some time and had therefore been very close and able to hear all of the conversation. He decided to step forward, Jaken needed a lesson as well as Rin.

“Jaken!” He said out loud and made poor Jaken jump into the air for a breif moment before he understood it was Sesshomaru then he instead barely crusched his head onto the ground begging about forgivness.

“Gomen nasai Sesshomaru-sama!” He was sweating quite bad under the stern eyes of his lord. Sesshomaru just ignored him and turned to Rin.

“Rin” His stoic face did not show anger nor any other feeling as usual.

“Hai, nan ja Sesshomaru-sama?” She looked down hiding her guilty feelings.

“Why were you delayed” Stoic outside, curious inside. Rin kept her head down, now for some reason she didn't know she were blushing furiously and didn't want to show that as well, Rin felt more and more guilty and the pressure was building up inwards. She could definetly not tell him why! He would just tell her to stop doing those worthless things. She couldn't tell him that she was thinking about him and that she was beginning to develop strange feelings for him!

She could feel her heart pound inside making it hard to breathe. Her chest moved up and down and she started to feel sick with the unfamiliar tension. She had to lie.

“Rin wasn't feeling well” At least it was tru now she thought. To have been raised so little she had become quite clever in areas like food, what you could and not could eat, she knew large parts of the country due to all the travels with Sesshomaru and Jaken. She was not stupid nor super bright but she had managed to live so far under the protecting wings of Sesshomaru-sama. That's why she didn't want to be a burden for him since she had gained so much from him and he so little from her.

Sesshomaru looked at her for a moment and then decided that there was no need to ask her more, if she didn't want to tell the truth he was not going to push it, it wasn't very important either way.

“Go to sleep now Jaken and Rin” It was more a command than a piece of advise. So Jaken just sat down where he was and made it comfortable for himself

Rin took Aun to a big tree and the monster laid down under it. Rin soon followed and used Aun as a pillow as she had always done.

Sesshomaru sat down under a tree near Rin and Aun. For the first time he felt a sting of jealousy shoot a hole in his ice cold heart when he looked at Aun and Rin.

Could he even be jealous? And why was he anyway? Must be imagination! He slapt himself inwards over his stupidity. Then the answear came, he saw the picture before him. He sitting under a tree like now, except there was Rin, and she was in his lap, sleeping like a beauty. The scene was extremly beautiful, he with his long light blue-like hair having her there, protecting her, guarding her sleep. She the innocent one, frail as the human being she was, lying there in his safe arms. The moon shining down on them and that incredible bright sky with millions of stars hanging above like a blessing from some Kami. Yes the scene was indeed lovely, if you were not Sesshomaru-sama himself. He wanted to throw up, he one of the greatest yokai, in love with this silly child? Never, he roared to himself, his mind spinning, thoughts twirling. He couldn't focus, he had always despised human beings, so weak, they have nothing to live for. They die quick, if not from sickness or wounds then from age, and that wasn't much to speak about either. But still he wasn't dumb, he knew when he tried to lie to himself, so ok, maybe he could have som disgusting feelings for that annoying little girl, but he was NOT going to accept that fact, he could confess it but not admit it!

That's it! Enough! I need to get this nonsense off my mind!

He turned his eyes up to look at the stars and wondered about why this was happening. Was he becoming weak like his father and Inuyasha? Where was Naraku hiding? Why didn't his father want him to have tessaiga but tenseiga?

Why did his heart feel heavy, it never had before. Did he have that ridicculous feeling for Rin? He sighed, tired of having so many questions and so few answers. He went into light sleep, he needed to rest for a while if he was going to be able to solve at least some problems tomorrow.

A last look at the sky and then feel into sleep still hearing the light summer wind.

 

 

So, that was another chapter, I'm quite satisfied.

There may some grammar errors and so on, but that's it, I will change when I find some mistakes so take it easy on me neh?
