10. A confrontation

Inuyasha did not let Sango out of his sight, where ever she went, he followed her. He did not want to take any chances with the well-thing.

-          Sango-chan, I told you I won't leave you, he said when he saw the sad face of his mate.

-          I know, but I cannot help my self think about what is going to happened if she came through the well again.

-          Nothing, you are my Mate, and you are carrying our first child. Nothing else matters to me.

He hugged her close and inhaled her distressed scent, trying to comfort her as best as he could.

Sesshoumaru saw the young couple down on the plain, hugging each other and he felt a bit envious of their love. Without him thinking about, he shot a glance at the young miko in training. Aoji played with his adoptive daughter and he smiled inwardly. She was good with children, he could tell. A feeling inside his chest told him that it was time for him to find himself a Mate also. And perhaps the young miko would consider being the mate and wife to the Lord of the Western Lands? Sesshoumaru was abruptly awakened from his thoughts when he felt a powerful energy heading towards the plains.

-          Inuyasha, escort your mate back to the cave, we have some company, he yelled to his little brother.

-          Hai, Sesshou-kun, Inuyasha answered and lifted up Sango bridal style to take her back to their cave. She felt her stomach turn into a knot and gripped him tightly.

Inuyasha kissed her before he let her down. He reassured her wordlessly that everything was going to be ok; she did not have to worry.

-          I love you Inuyasha, please be careful.

-          I will my beloved, do not worry. He kissed her again and jumped down to his brother and Jaken.

Kaede and Aoji pushed Sango and Rin behind them forming a last defence for the slayer and child.

-          She is here, said Sesshoumaru with a eerie voice.

-          Yes, I can feel it. And it is Kagome; I recognize her smell, said Inuyasha and saw a green figure enter the plains.

-          She harbours a dark energy within her soul, said Jaken and held his two headed staff ready to fight with his lords. Yes, he had accepted the younger brother to Sesshoumaru as his lord too, the young pup was really a good man, once you got to know him of course.

-          Yes, I can feel it to, said Sesshoumaru.

-          I wondered what could have happened to her, Inuyasha frowned.

She saw the trio standing in line in the middle of the plain. After three years of uncertainty she had reopened the wells portal and travelled back in time. And she was met by the nervous villagers, something had happened during her absence. She asked for the old miko only to be told that Kaede-sama and her young apprentice were visiting Sango and Inuyasha. It was the way they had said it, that made Kagome fume with anger and jealousy. Had Sango taken Inuyasha? No, she would not allow it, not one bit! She would correct this at once. But she had not count on seeing what her eyes now showed her. Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru and Jaken, working together, hell must have frozen over. She stopped ten feet from the three demons.

-          Hi Kagome, said Inuyasha with a cold voice. - Nice to see you again.

-          Hi Inuyasha, why the protecting stance? she scolded with a pout. - Do you think you need to protect your selves from a little girl like me?

-          Miko, why are you here? Jaken demanded, waving his staff around.

-          Why should I tell a mere lowlife youkai my business? Kagome wondered, her voice hinted the disgusted thoughts she had for the toad demon.

-          Hmpf…

-          If a lord would ask you, would you answer him? came the chilly voice of Sesshoumaru.

-          Ahh, Sesshoumaru-sama, nice to see you two brothers getting along, finally.

-          You are avoiding the questions human!

-          Short fuse as always my dear lord, she taunted and smiled ironically.

Inuyasha flinched a bit, this was not the Kagome he once knew, and this was something else. He wondered what could have happened to her on the other side of the well.

-          Kagome, what happened? he asked her.

-          Nothing, just that I finally make up my mind to come and visit and the people in the village are hinting that you and Sango are mates, but that would not be the truth now would it?

-          Yes it is true. Sango is my mate and we asked Kaede to perform the binding ceremony for us. This happened about four month ago, said Inuyasha. - And she are also carrying our child, it will be born in about four month.

-          I cannot believe it, how dare you?!! Kagome screamed outrageous.

-          What? Did you think that I harboured any deeper feelings for you? I never did, nothing more than friendly feelings. You were my best friend and until to day I have thought of you as such, but you are not the Kagome I once knew. You are a dark shadow of the bright young girl from the future.

Kaede and Aoji both felt the darkness flare around the miko from the future and they got them selves ready to take care of her.

-          She has turned into a black miko, she is beyond our help. Our duty now is to eliminate her dark miko-powers, said Kaede with a sad voice.

-          Yes Kaede-sama, answered Aoji and reached into her robes and brought forward a few ofuda-letters. Let us help our friends.

The young miko took the hands of Kaede and they began to recite ancient words of power. The ofuda-letters began to glow with an immense power before they flew down towards the girl from the future. They landed on her chest and back, making her scream in pain.

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha drew their swords, shielding them of the dark energy that now flowed from Kagome's body. Jaken took the opportunity and let a big tongue of flame destroy the dark shadow. It hissed and screamed making both Rin and Sango tremble with fear. "Poor Kagome-chan, did our mating do this to you?" Sango cried silently in her mind. She hated to see her best friend and the girl she saw as a younger sister, be in such pain.

Kagome fainted due to all the power around her and Sesshoumaru lifted her up into his arms. He nodded towards Kaede and Aoji to follow him.

-          We shall send her back and seal the well on this side, and this time it will be forever. Her agony and hatred will not harm you or your mate again, he said to his brother.

-          Thank you Sesshou-kun, said Inuyasha and bowing for his brother.

He then ran up to his wife and hugged her shaky form against him, whispering words of comfort. It had been an unpleasant experience for both of them.

11. The sealing of the well.

Sesshoumaru kept his pace so that the two mikos could keep up with it. He felt the girl from the future stir around in his arms but she did not awakened. And he hoped she would not do it either, it would be for the best if she stayed unconscious. It took the odd party about two hours to reach the bone eating well in the Inuyasha Forest.

-          How will we go about this? he asked the old miko.

-          Drop her, just drop her and she will be transported to her own time, answered Kaede.

Sesshoumaru dropped the young girl into the well. A lilac glow was glimmering and then… she was gone.

-          Now pull that tree up with it roots, demanded Kaede and pointed towards a large oak.

Sesshoumaru lifted a surprised eyebrow, but did as the old miko told him to. With inhuman strength he pulled the tree up and looked at Kaede.

-          Shove it down the well please, she said.

-          As you wish Kaede-sama, he said and did what he was told.

As soon as the tree was in place both Kaede and Aoji placed some ofuda letters on the trunk and uttered sacred words of sealing. The ofudas melted into the bark, making them disappear.

-          It is done! Aoji said with a hint of relief in her young voice.

-          Good, you have done well Kaede-sama and Aoji-sama; I thank you both for your help. Now my brother and his mate can feel safe again. No one will threaten them or their pups.

-          We are glad to be at your service, Aoji answered and the mikos bowed to the regal lord.

-          I will be heading back home now, said Kaede. But you will perhaps spend some more time with Sango and Inuyasha?

-          Yes, that would be great, said Aoji.

Sesshoumaru lowered himself a bit.

-          Climb on Aoji-sama and I will carry you to my brother's cave.

-          Eh?

-          This way is faster, please do as I say.

-          Hai Sesshoumaru-sama, said Aoji.

And with a blushing face she let the demon lord take a hold of her legs and she put her arms around his neck, hugging him close as he took to the skies with his magic.

Kaede smiled.

-          I think that a certain Lord had found himself a mate. You have my blessings children, the old miko chuckled and began the short walk back to the village.

12. Will you be the Lady?

Aoji could not help herself; she buried her face into the regal demon lords silvery hair, inhaling his powerful scent. His hair was soft against her face and she giggled a bit when it tickled her.

-          What is it Aoji-sama? asked a very confused Sesshoumaru.

-          Your hair is tickling my face, she answered truthfully.

-          Hrm… yes… We shall soon reach the cave of my brother, he said a bit awkward.

-          You do not have to rush Sesshoumaru-sama; I am enjoying my self back here.

As soon as the words left her lips she blushed and she began to stammer out excuses for her forward behaviour. "How stupid can you get Aoji, he is a lord, a demon lord at that, why would he ever take notice to a little human girl like your self, when he can have any demon girl out there." She scolded her self.

-          So you like to ride me Aoji-sama? he asked with a hint of humour in his otherwise so cold voice.

-          Yes.. she whispered, ashamed.

-          If you like, I could take a longer way back to the cave, if you are enjoying yourself so much?

-          Yes, please, do so.

Sesshoumaru smiled and took of to make a longer journey towards the cave of his brother.

Aoji felt like she was flying, the feeling of freedom made her squeal in delight and she could her the dark chuckling sounds coming from the lord.

-          What's so funny? she asked after a while.

-          You, and your sounds Aoji-sama, he said.

-          Why?

-          Well, I did not know that a ride on my back could draw forth such delight, he said.

-          It does my Lord, it does. I feel like I am the happiest person in the whole world, I am flying, this feeling in my soul, I cannot describe it.

-          I am glad, he said. I am glad that I can give you this feeling.

-          Huh?

Sesshoumaru landed on a nearby peak and sat down so she could slide of his back. He turned around to look into her face. Her cheeks were a bit flushed and he smiled. He had done that to her.

-          I have a question for you Aoji-sama, he said a bit more seriously.

-          Yes?

-          I have for a long time, searched for a woman who is a suitable mate. And I think I have found her. And that woman is you Aoji-sama, so I ask you. Will you be my mate, will you be the mother to my pup Rin and to be the mother to our future pups?

Aojis jaw dropped to the ground, had the regal demon lord proposed to her? She was the discarded wife of a former monk and now a miko in training, had he really asked her to be his wife? What could she say? She nodded and tears were formed in her green eyes.

-          YES, YES of course I will if you will have me my lord, she sniffled.

-          Good.

Sesshoumaru smiled and kissed her chastely on her trembling lips. It did not take him to long to deepen the kiss, making it more passionately. Most reluctantly he drew back, but he caressed her face with his clawed hands.

-          Come, let us tell my brother and his mate about our union, he said and lifted her up bridal style.

-          Yes my lord, she said with a bright smile and placed a courageous kiss on his cheek.

Sesshoumaru could not help the bubbling feeling that developed inside his stomach; there was something about this young woman that made him want to bring down the sun and the moon.

Aoji placed her arms around his strong neck and savoured the feeling of the warmth inside his embrace, she did not think that she was able to find love again after Miroku, but it came to her, in the form of a chilly demon lord with a little human girl named Rin as his adoptive daughter.

13. A big family is created?

Sango, Inuyasha, Rin and Jaken saw the odd scene but could not quite believe it. Inuyasha was the one to regain his sanity first and laughed a bit before placing a brotherly pat on Sesshoumarus back.

-          You are one sly dog my dear brother, he said and Sesshoumaru actually blushed a bit.

-          Congratulations to the both of you. I am glad that you finally got your self a man to see your soul Aoji-chan, said Sango and hugged the young miko in training.

-          Thank you Sango-chan, I could not really believe it when he asked me, I thought I had died, Aoji said.

-          Brother, is it ok if Rin stays with you for a couple of more days, and Jaken too?

-          Yes of course, said Inuyasha with sluggish smirk.

-          Hrm, good.

-          Will Aoji-sama be Rin's new mother? the young ward asked her father figure.

-          Yes Rin and perhaps we could get you a little sister and brother too? Would you like that? wondered the lord making everyone gap at his words.

The young girl squealed in delight and began jumping up and down and danced around with a grumpy Jaken singing about her brothers and sisters. They all laughed when Jaken seemed to be a bit yellow in the face from all the spinning around.

-          Rin, do not make poor Jaken-sama sick, said Aoji lifting up the girl into her arms and earning her self a big hug.

-          Hai, Aoji-sama, okaasan, Rin giggled and kissed her new mother on the cheek.

-          Be nice now Rin and we will see you in a couple of days, Sesshoumaru said and drew his females into his strong arms, hugging them both.

Sango and Inuyasha watched the little happy family and smiled at each other, this summer had been a good summer indeed. Inuyasha snaked his arms around her waist and laid his big hands on her rounded stomach, enjoying the feeling of the baby's movements. It was going to be a handful to take care of this little one, she had much energy already. 

They left Rin in the care of Inuyasha and Sango. Aoji was nervous, but who wouldn't. She was to be mated to the great demon lord of the west for Kami's sake.

14. The Making of a Lady

Sesshoumaru descended down into a clearing in the woods. The late summer still hade a few blooming flowers and he picked up a blue one for his Lady.

-          You look beautiful my mate, he whispered huskily and pulled her into his strong arms.

-          Thank you my Lord, she answered with a blush, looking up into his golden eyes.

-          I am glad that I met you that day, and that you decided to be a free woman Aoji-chan, I have thought a lot about you during my stay at the castle, wondering how you were doing, what you was doing. Would you like to continue your miko-training?

-          Yes, and I would like for us to have a hut in the nearby area, so I can perform my duties in the village, until I can find me an apprentice too.

-          Of course Aoji-chan, I will build a hut for us, he kissed her lightly on the lips making her tremble with anticipation.

-          Are you afraid of me Aoji-chan? I will not hurt you, not ever.

-          I know that my Lord, I am just nervous, she said truthfully.  The times with Miroku was never pleasurable for me, he was not so gentle with me, not even the first time.

Sesshoumaru growled a bit, wishing he had killed the former monk when he had the chance. He sat them down on warm ground and laid his hands around her face, he almost drowned in her dark green eyes.

-          He was a shithead, in more way than one then. I will give you what he neglected to do, he said with a lover's voice and he kissed her again.

His hands undressed her slowly, taking time to feel every inch of her skin, he followed his hands with his lips, kissing and tasting her body. He removed the cloth the bound her breast and she gasped when the cool evening breeze grazed her sensitive nipples.

-          You are so beautiful my love, like an orchid with an eternal fire within it to make it glow in the night.

-          Ohh, she piped when she felt his lips close over a hard nipple.

A heat pooled inside her stomach and she could feel a throbbing pulse in between her thighs, which had never happened when she was with Miroku. This felt so… she could not describe the feeling in her body. He lowered her to lie on the ground on her discarded clothes. He could see small flares of miko energy flow around her, making her translucent.

Sesshoumaru removed his haori and made a little pillow of it and placed it behind her head. He kissed her forehead and nose before taking her lips again. Her small hands caressed his smooth chest, making him purr contently. She had never been active during her earlier lovemaking, but the way he ignite her body now, there was no way she could not be active, she hade to give him the same pleasure he was giving her. She was addicted to his strong taste and smell; she licked a small path down his throat, feeling the vibrations of his purr against her lips.

Sesshoumaru had her soon completely naked under his hands and he let his eyes feast upon her beauty. He felt the desire roam inside his blood, making him crave to be inside of her. But she had to be ready first. He parted her delicate folds and let a finger be inserted into her flower. She yelped and arches her back against his touch. His lips twitched with a male smirk and he kissed her stomach before removing his hand from her feminine core.

-          Are you ready Aoji-chan? He asked and she nodded, her heavy breathing would not allow her to speak.

He guided the tip of his engorged length into her slick folds, moving gently. She was no virgin, but he was well blessed in size and he needed her to be adjusted to his intruding length. But he had not counted with her needs. She raised her hips, making his fleshy pole enter her to the hilt. She moaned deeply when she felt him twitch inside her. This was incredible; it was never this way with the shithead. He was gentle with her, but the raging flame of desire wanted him to go faster and she panted out the word. He raised a surprised eyebrow but he complied, happily I might add. His demon blood was boiling inside of him, demanding to be released. The fangs in his mouth grew a bit and he was ready to mark her as his new mate. He hoped she would not be afraid of him but seeing her green eyes he knew that she never would be afraid of him.

-          This might hurt a bit, he whispered and lowered his mouth to her neck, biting her.

-          Ohh, she cried when the bite triggered her orgasm, she arch her body into his and her small fingernails made long red trails down his back.

He let her blood flow freely a bit before lapping it up, filling him with her power and strength. He pumped his length into her a few more times and then let his seed to be released into her womb. He flipped them over so she was on top of him, with him still buried within her heat. She would be carrying his pup after this night, he was sure of it.

-          I love you Aoji-chan, he said with a ragged voice, caressing her back with his claws.

-          I love you too Sesshoumaru, she said and kissed him lovingly.

-          You will be carrying my pup, I can feel its conception already, he said looking into her beautiful eyes.

-          I am? Gods I am so happy, she whispered low, a few tears escaped her eyes.

-          So am I my love, so am I.

He pulled out of her body, making her moan a bit in the process. He laid them down so she was spooned up against his body, her head resting on his broad shoulder. A small bird sang a humming song and they drifted off to sleep.

15. The fox and his friend.

Sesshoumaru and his little group returned to his castle, leaving Inuyasha and Sango alone. Sango was in a poor state. First had Miroku been an asshole and now Kagome had turned into a dark miko, this was not the way she wanted things to turn out. Inuyasha sat down with his back against the cave wall; he pulled his mate down to sit on his lap. He could smell her sadness and distress and wanted to comfort her.

-          It's ok my beloved, she was not evil, just possessed with a dark energy, he said nuzzling his face into her neck.

-          I know Inu-chan, but it feels like hell anyway.

-          Thanks to Kaede and Aoji she was freed from the dark force, but to be on the safe side, they sealed the well on this side.

-          I feel so sorry for her, what could have caused her to be so available to evil?

-          I wish I knew my mate, perhaps she had been through something on the other side, who knows. For now she is free again, and let us all hope that she finds peace in her own time.

-          It will take some time for me, but I will live through it, Sango smiled a bit sad.

-          Yes of course you will, you are strong and you have a strong heart, and most importantly, you are my mate and you are carrying our child. I will not allow anything to harm you.

-          I know Inu-chan.

Sango relaxed into his embrace and it did not take her to long to fall asleep in his arms. Inuyasha carried her into their bedroom and laid them both down. "You feel better soon my mate, I will not let this eat at your soul my love." He thought and caressed her hair and back to make her feel more comfortable.

Five days later, a small giggle awoke Sango from her afternoon nap. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked around. Inuyasha was nowhere to be seen, but she knew he was nearby. She left the sleeping quarters and ventured into the kitchen area only to be attacked by a reddish blur.

-          SANGO!!A young voice shouted into her ear and she winced a bit.

-          Shippou-chan? Is that you? Oh great Kami, it is you!!

She hugged the little kitsune with all the warmth she had in her heart. Tears of joy formed in her dark eyes and Inuyasha watched the happy little scene from the cave entrance. This was exactly what his mate needed. He smiled and waved his hands.

-          Come in my dear, come and say hello to my mate Sango, he said to someone outside.

-          Who is it Inuyasha? Sango asked and looked at Inuyasha.

-          I think Shippou should introduce her, he said.

-          Huh?

-          Sango, let me introduce you to my new friend, I believe you two never have met, the little fox said and smiled brightly.

-          Who is it?

-          Sango, meet Souten, she is my friend, and I have been living with her for a while now.

A little girl with appeared in the cave, she was a bit taller than the kitsune, her hair was in a black bun and she was dressed in a dark blue kimono with armour over her chest and shoulder area.

Inuyasha began to make some food for their guest as Sango, Shippou and the young girl sat down at the table.

-          Souten, was not she the one to challenge you Shippou? asked Sango a bit confused.

-          Yes she was, but we have overcome our little dispute, and now we just have fun all day long.

-          Yes, and the other day we got a message from Inuyasha, inviting us here to come and see you two and Shippou here found it to be a good idea to catch up on things, said the young girl with a soft voice.

Sango looked surprised at her husband but he just smiled gently towards her.

-          I am glad, it has been to long since I saw this little fox, said Sango with a wide smile and patted Shippou on the head.

-          Inuyasha told us what happened with Kagome and I feel truly sorry for her. But as Inuyasha said, and I agreed, it was for the best. She never really belonged in our world, and we hope that she now has come to realize it too, said Shippou with a sad look.

-          I remember her, she was wearing odd clothes and she cuddled me like a doll, smirked Souten.

-          You do look a bit like a doll, said Inuyasha and served some soup to them.

-          I DO NOT!!fumed Souten.

-          Yes you do, laughed Shippou.

-          Hmpf..

-          Now, now, let us enjoy Inuyasha's delicious chicken soup, Sango said.

-          I did not know that Inuyasha could cook? Shippou was shocked.

-          He can, and he does it very well I might add.

-          Thank you mate, Inuyasha said with a smile.

He had been right, a visit from Shippou made her brighten up a lot. These past days had been a couple of though ones. She would only eat because he threatened to force feed her. Now she scooped the soup with a great appetite. Actually he also had missed the little runt, even though Inuyasha probably never would admit that. Shippou always was and still is full of life and sparkle, and of course, his new friend Souten was much the same.

Sango played with the children a bit before Inuyasha came out from the cave with some furs and blankets. He and Shippou carried the things down to the guest cabin on the plain. Souten smiled as she saw the loving eyes of Sango.

-          You really love him do you not?

-          Yes I do Souten, he is the best thing that ever have happened to me, answered Sango truthfully. And soon I will be having his baby, I am very happy.

-          I hope we can be here in time for the birth, I would love to see your little Inu-San, she giggled as she put Inuyasha's and Sango's name together.

-          I hope so to Souten-chan.

Inuyasha and Shippou came back and the kitsune motioned for him and Souten to go to bed. Sango was a bit surprised, but then again, they hade traveled for a whole day and they were probably very tired from the trip.

Inuyasha helped Sango change into her night dress and carried her to bed.

-          Inu-chan, I can still walk you know, she scolded with gentle voice.

-          I know, but I like to carry you around, he said.

-          Hmm, you are an odd one my love, you do know that, she yawned and curled herself up against his hard chest, savouring the warmth he provided.

-          I love you too my mate, he whispered into her ear.

16. The celebration of the midwinter day.

The birth of Inuyasha's and Sango's child was near. But the villagers wanted to celebrate their protectors and set up a big feast for the midwinter day, on the plain. Shippou and Souten were active and helped to raise flags and set up good luck charms around the festivities. Message had been sent to Sesshoumaru and his Mate and they came, bearing gifts for the young soon to be parents. Aoji had woven a beautiful winter-kimono for Sango and Sesshoumaru gave Inuyasha a new scabbard for the Tetsaiga.

Small fireworks opened up for the night's song and dance. Food and rice wine flowed. Sango was straddling a bench with her husband behind her. His arms lay protectively around her huge belly and they had a big youkai-fur around them so that they would not be cold. They laughed at Souten and Shippou's little theatrical performance on how the two of them met.

The night went on with love and friendship flowing through the starlit winter sky. Inuyasha felt his mate drift off to sleep and he gently lifted her up into his arms. He nodded good bye to their friends and took one giant leap up to their cave. He gently sat her down the bed and removed her clothing and put her night dress on instead.

-          Mmm Inu-chan, she mumbled drowsy.

-          Yes my love, he answered and lay her down under the warming furs.

-          I think you better get Kaede and Aoji.

She was still in a drowsy state and he was not sure what she wanted.

-          My love, why should I get them? he asked a bit confused.

A sound of water breaking free could be heard and he paled noticeable.

Sesshoumaru carried his wife to the cave as Inuyasha carried the old miko. Kaede chuckled a bit and ordered the men to bring hot water and clean sheets.

-          So the young one decided that the midwinter day would be a good day to be born into the world?

-          I guess so Obaasan, panted Sango as another contraction hit her with full force.

-          It is a good day to face the world; she will bring the light to us, said Aoji and wiped a black tress of hair from Sango's wet face.

Sango was not up for any more discussion because the pain was too great.

Kaede ordered Inuyasha to lift Sango up and sit down behind her. You will help her breath, the old miko told him and he nodded nervously and did as she said. He slide down behind his wife and made her back rest against his chest, her small hands took a death grip on his clawed ones. He would have yipped in pain, but hearing her soul searing scream made him shut up. What ever pain he ever had endured, it was not close to what she was going through right now, he decided. Kaede and Aoji hummed a beautiful song, filled with words of power, stamina, health and prosperity for the child and its new family.

Sesshoumaru sat in the kitchen area with Rin in his lap, she cried silently because she thought her aunt Sango was going to die.

-          No Rin, Sango is giving birth to your baby cousin, explained Sesshoumaru.

-          But why does she cry and scream so much? sniffled the young girl.

-          Because it hurts giving birth, but she will not die, he insured the child.

In the corner of his eyes he saw his trustful servant Jaken laying on the ground, the toad demon had a sick yellow tone to his ugly face, he had probably fainted from the screams that emanated from the sleeping chamber.

-          So she will be ok?

-          Yes Rin, she will be perfectly alright by the morning I believe, said the youkai lord.

But he admitted that the screams of pain made his heart stop every time. Aoji would go through this in a couple of months too. "Kami-sama, let this be over soon." He prayed silently to the gods.

Kaede's bright smile made Inuyasha a bit easier in mind and when she held a tiny form in her hands he cried with joy.

-          Sango-sama, Inuyasha-sama, behold your Daughter, the old miko said.

-          O-our daughter, breathed Sango heavily and held out her arms.

Kaede wiped the most of the birth blood of the little girl's body before leaving her to her parents. Sango looked down to the bundle of love she and Inuyasha had created together. She was the most beautiful thing they ever had seen. She had silver white hair with small pearly white ears on top of her head that looked like they were dipped in tar. Her eyes were dark with amber flecks. Her small hands had little claws that reached for the finger in front of her.

-          She is so beautiful Sango, my love, Inuyasha whispered low and caressed the tiny face of his newborn daughter.

-          Yes she is, so… I can not describe it. She is the treasure sent from the Heavens, Sango said and kissed her husbands cheeks. Thank you Inuyasha.

-          Let us call her Takara.

-          That is a very good name for your Daughter, said the raspy voice of Sesshoumaru. He stood beside the bed with glittering tears in his eyes. This was indeed a happy moment and the otherwise so cold lord could not help himself, he cried of happiness.

-          Thank you brother of mine, Inuyasha nodded towards the regal lord.

-          Please, let me hold her, Sesshoumaru asked.

Sango and Inuyasha consented and gave the demon lord the tiny bundle. Inuyasha rose from the bed, making sure his wife was comfortable.

-          Follow me my brother, said Sesshoumaru and ventured out of the cave.

He stood on the cliff looking down on the awaiting people on the plain.

-          Let that be known from now and here on forth - that this girl is the heir to these western parts of my domain. She is Takara, daughter to my brother Inuyasha and his powerful mate Sango, the lords deep voice rang through the winter night, echoing for all to hear.

-          TAKARA!! freeted the masses on the plain. - PRINCESS TAKARA!!

Inuyasha nodded his thanks to his brother as he gave him back his little treasure.

-          Take care of her my little brother, and I hope you will be able to be there with us when Aoji is having my child.

-          Of course Sesshoumaru, whispered Inuyasha and took the hand of his brother, hugging it tightly.

Inuyasha went inside to his exhausted but very happy mate. He smiled softly as he laid himself down on the furs, and gave the little one to Sango for her first feeding. It was truly a heaven sent treasure they had created with their love.
