Sango and Miroku walked hand in hand down to the beach. They saw Rin trying to dunk Sess into the water, and Inu Yasha trying to drop Kagome into the water, while she held onto his neck for dear life. Sango was about to walk over to them when suddenly Miroku pulled her into his body and wrapped something around her neck. He clasped it behind her hair and kissed the back of her neck while she felt the choker.

"Miroku-"

"I couldn't believe it when you said you weren't going to get it, and I was unable to resist." He murmured, kissing her cheek.

She grinned and turned her head to kiss her back. "Thank you, I love it."

He pinched her backside and said, "Good."

She laughed and tugged him towards their friends. Once in the water, Sango immediately dunked Miroku beneath the surface, causing their four friends to stop what they were doing and laugh. Miroku came up quickly and smirked at Sango as she laughed. He suddenly dove towards her legs, knocking her over into the water. She landed on her backside and laughed as he tackled her again, rolling them over. Rin, seeing Sess's distracted state, suddenly jumped on his back, trying to get him in the water. But he caught himself quickly, and dropped her in the water. She laughed and jumped up, giving him an enormous, wet hug.

Kagome situated herself on Inu Yasha's back and mumbled, "If you drop me in the water, you're going down too!"

He chuckled and tickled her thighs. She squirmed around, enabling him to pull her body into his arms, and drop her in the water. Kagome stuck her tongue out at her and stood up, dripping wet. Inu Yasha laughed hard, and quickly caught her again. She struggled to pull away, but he held her tight.

"I won't drop you in the water again, okay?"

"Promise?" She asked, turning to look at him.

He chuckled. "No." Inu Yasha picked her up and ran out in the water, laughing as she screamed and tried to get way. He was about to drop her in the deeper water when he was suddenly tackled from behind by Miroku and Sess. The four tumbled into the water, Rin and Sango laughing at them. The two girls ran over to the group and jumped on them. After a few minutes of everyone being dunked, Kagome, Rin, and Sango finally ran from the guys, announcing that they were going to sun bathe. The girls spread out their towels on the sand next to each other, ignoring their boyfriends/fiance, who were trying to drown each other. Lots of other female seniors were tanning in the sun, while the rest of the seniors were playing random games in and out of the water.

"I love the beach." Kagome spoke up suddenly.

"Me too! I wish we had a beach back home." Rin replied, looking over at Kagome.

Sango nodded. "I could definitely get used to this weather. The Bahamas is great!"

Kagome propped herself up on her arm and looked over at Sango. "I thought you weren't going to buy that choker, Sango?"

Sango touched it gently. "Miroku bought it. He gave it to me before right before we went out to the water."

Kagome nodded and laid back down saying, "I'm glad he did, it looks real pretty on you."

Sango grinned and fingered the choker, ignoring her boyfriend who was flexing his muscles, trying to get her attention. Rin was making faces at Sess, while he just stared at her with a slightly amused look on his face. Inu Yasha dunked himself in the water once more before running over to Kagome and landing on top of her, drenching her completely. She squealed and tried to pull away from him, but he held on to her and laughed.

"Inu Yasha you creep! Get off!" She said, laughing.

He chuckled and wrung his hair out over her body. "Nah, this is fun."

She poked his sides, causing him to squirm and roll off of her. Kagome laughed and quickly stood up, wiping the water off of her. "Creep." She muttered again, giggling.

Rin suddenly hopped up and said, "Squirrel!" Without another word, she ran off to Ms. Tsuyu.

Everyone gave each other a confused look, expect for Sess who just sat down and chuckled. "She had an idea." He explained.

A few minutes later, Rin came back, skipping. She stopped right behind Sess and tried to push him over as she said to the others, "Ms. Tsuyu and Mr. Satoru just said that we are having a bonfire tonight!"

Her four friends perked up and Sango said, "Where did you get `bonfire' from `squirrel'?"

Rin grinned. "I saw a bonfire pit down there, and when I got up to ask her about it, the first thing that came to my mind was `squirrel'. It means I had an idea!"

"Told you." Sess muttered, trying to grab at Rin. She laughed and fell backwards onto the sand. "Lets make snow angels!"

"There's no snow." Miroku pointed out, sitting next to Sango.

"Sand angels!" Kagome corrected, lying down on the sand as well. The two girls began moving their arms and legs, indeed making sand angels. Sango laughed at her friends, but didn't join in. "Come on, Sango!" Kagome called.

Sango laid down on her towel. "How about you make one for me."

Kagome rolled her eyes. "Party pooper."

When it was time for supper, the seniors went back inside the hotel to shower and dress. Rin put on an orange skirt with a white blouse on top. Kagome wore a black skirt with Inu Yasha's gray hoodie. Sango threw on a pair of tight blue jeans and a hot pink tank top. She grabbed a dark purple jacket, too. All three of them had their swimsuits underneath their clothes.

They met their boyfriends/fiance at the elevator and went down to the lobby together. Sess was wearing a pair of white corduroy pants and a long sleeved black shirt with `Phuket' written on the front. Inu Yasha was wearing baggy blue jeans and a wife-beater with a red jacket over it. Miroku was wearing black baggy jeans and a purple shirt with a long sleeved black one underneath it.

Once in the lobby, they followed their schoolmates towards a dimly lit diner past the one they ate at that morning. Ms. Tsuyu waved the seniors towards the tables they had and announced, "After we eat, we're having a bonfire back at the beach. You have two choices. You can either join us at the bonfire, or you may stay back in your room, here at the hotel."

"Do we have to sing at the bonfire?" One of the seniors asked loudly.

Miroku grinned. "Hell yeah!" He grabbed Sango's hand and said loudly, "Kumbiya, my Lord, kumbiya!"

Sango laughed at him and ripped her hand from his. "Shut up."

Ms. Tsuyu shook her head and laughed quietly. "No, no singing. Unless you want to, I suppose."

Rin looked around at her friends. "You guys going to come?"

Sango nodded and Kagome said, "Sounds like fun."

Inu Yasha and Miroku both shrugged. "Why not." Sess answered.

Rin grinned and they ordered their food.

When they finished eating, the sun had already set and Ms. Tsuyu took a count of who was going to the bonfire and who was staying at the hotel. When that was done, those going back to the beach hurried down there, talking excitedly when they saw an enormous fire going. They walked down to the fire and sat down, taking in the heat and atmosphere. Rin had to be forced to sit down by Sess, because she was bouncing excitedly on the heels of her feet.

"Do I need to tell any of you not to get to close to the fire?" Ms. Tsuyu asked them.

"No." Several students called out.

She shrugged and walked towards the other teachers who were supervising the bonfire. Rin looked around brightly. "We should go swimming!"

"In the dark? No thanks." Kagome answered, snuggling up to Inu Yasha.

Rin stuck her tongue out at her and said, "Come on, lets swim!"

Several seniors liked the idea, but the teachers took some persuading. After promising that they would stay close to the shore, the seniors hurried off to the water.

"What are we, three year olds?" Miroku mumbled.

Sango laughed as she took of her jacket. "Well you're as childish as one."

He growled and began pulling her towards the water wearing only his boxers. "You're going to get it."

She shrieked and pulled back. "Wait, no!"

He tossed Sango onto the ground and, after making sure no one was looking, pulled off her pants and tank top. He then picked her up and ran to the water, laughing as she squealed.

Rin had quickly stripped herself of her blouse and skirt and was eagerly tugging at Sess's shirt. "Come on Sessy, strip!"

He chuckled and stripped down to his boxers. The two of them hurried to the cool water and Rin made a large splash as she jumped in. Sess followed her in the water, finally tugging her close to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist. His lips instantly found hers, pressing her shapely body against his toned one. Sess moved his hands down her legs, urging her to wrap them around him, which she did. In this intimate position, Rin could feel how hard her fiance was.

She pulled back from the kiss and giggled. "Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" She joked lamely.

He chuckled and kissed her neck. "You tell me."

She grinned and trailed one of her hands down his chest and inside his boxers, to his erection. Sess groaned as she game him an experimental squeeze. Rin delicately stroked him a few more times as they kissed. Finally she pulled back and said in a whisper, "Definitely not a banana."

He chuckled and kissed her neck.

Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around Kagome and mumbled, "That's my hoodie."

She grinned. "Mine now." He growled at her and nipped her neck. "What, do you want me to take it off?" She asked sweetly.

He grinned mischievously at her.

Giggling, Kagome replied, "I'm only wearing my swimsuit top under this, you know."

He tugged her down so they were lying on the sand and mumbled, "Why did you wear your swimsuit if you weren't going to go swimming?"

Kagome laid her head on his chest and said, "It's called being lazy. I didn't feel like putting a shirt on, so I just put my bikini back on."

He chuckled. "Works for me."

After a few minutes, Inu Yasha stood up and said, "I've got to piss."

Kagome rolled her eyes. "Ew, don't share."

He chuckled and kissed her. "I'll be back."

She waved and sat up, looking at her friends who were playing chicken. Laughing, she didn't notice a group of teenage guys, not from their school, walk over to her.

"Hey." One of them said. He had long black hair and brown eyes. No doubt he was attractive, but he didn't look like the nicest of people.

She glanced up briefly. "Hi."

"I'm Hitomi. What's your name?" He flashed her a toothy smile.

"Kagome." She answered quickly. She didn't want to be rude, but she had no desire to talk to any of them.

"You're part of that group from the high school, right?" He pressed on.

"Yeah."

"How do you like the Bahamas so far?"

"It's really nice. Me and my boyfriend are having a great time." She answered, hoping he'd get the hint.

Obviously, he didn't. "Me and my friends are visiting here from our college for spring break. Think you'd want to chill some time?"

"Thanks, but no thanks." She answered, looking away.

His friends chuckled. "Why not? You'd have fun."

"I was having fun before I met you, so I think I'm okay." She stated. Where are you, Inu Yasha? She wasn't sure if she wanted him to show up or not. If he did, he'd probably beat the crap out of those guys. But if he didn't, she'd be stuck talking to them.

Kagome stood up. "It was nice talking to you, but I'm going to go look for my big, buff, long-term boyfriend."

He chuckled and stepped in front of her. "Are we scaring you?"

She rolled her eyes. "No, I'm just done with this conversation. Excuse me."

He wouldn't let her pass, and quickly said, "You're being rude."

"I'm not the one that's not letting the underage girl leave." She snapped. What the hell was with this guy?

Suddenly, she heard a loud yell. "Get the fuck away from my girlfriend!"

Hitomi and his friends turned around to see an enraged Inu Yasha. Kagome slipped by them and hurried over to him. She grabbed his arm and said, "Lets go."

But Inu Yasha stepped in front of Kagome and yelled to the guys. "What the fuck did you want with her?"

Hitomi glared at him. "We were enjoying a pleasant conversation until you came along."

Kagome grabbed Inu Yasha's arm again. "Inu Yasha, lets go!"

He pulled his arm from her and shouted, "Don't you ever fucking come near her again!"

Hitomi stepped forward. "You can't tell me what to do, ass whole."

Inu Yasha growled at him. "Listen fucker face, if I see you near her ever again, I'll fuck you up so bad you're grandchildren will feel it!"

Hitomi glared back at Inu Yasha. "I'd like to see you try, chicken shit!"

Inu Yasha turned around and pushed Kagome a few feet back. "No Inu Yasha, stop it! Lets go! You're going to get in trouble!"

He didn't answer, but turned back around and walked over to Hitomi. Kagome watched them nervously. What should she do? If she drew attention to the fight, Inu Yasha would get sent back home. But she didn't want him to get hurt!

Suddenly, Hitomi slugged Inu Yasha in the gut. Kagome covered her mouth with her hand and watched fearfully as her boyfriend bent over and took a deep breath. He slowly straightened back up and punched Hitomi back in the face. He stumbled backwards, clutching his nose. When he regained his footing, Hitomi lunged forward, aiming for Inu Yasha. Inu Yasha side stepped the blow and kicked Hitomi to the ground. From the ground, Hitomi spit out a mouthful of sand and pushed himself up to his knees. He turned around and glared at Inu Yasha.

Inu Yasha watched him, hate etched in his handsome face. Hitomi suddenly ran at Inu Yasha, but before he had a chance to react, two sets of hands wrapped around his arms, giving Hitomi the chance to punch his in the stomach. Inu Yasha grunt in pain and struggled to release himself from Hitomi's goons, but they held on tightly. Kagome gasped and suddenly ran forward to try and pry Hitomi from Inu Yasha.

Inu Yasha, seeing this, grunted out, "Stay back!"

Kagome stopped in her tracks, tears welling in her eyes. She suddenly remembered what Sess told her when Inu Yasha fought Kouga. "…Inu Yasha would never forgive me if I stepped in on one of his fights. Inu Yasha fights one on one with honor…" Kagome's tiny hands balled into fists. Damn him, damn him and his honor! This fight was pointless, and he wouldn't let anyone help him!

Inu Yasha suddenly kicked his feet up, kicking back Hitomi and enabling him to push back the two holding on to him. The four fell on the ground and Inu Yasha was the first to rise. Hitomi growled at Inu Yasha and ran at him. Inu Yasha dodged him and elbowed him in the back of the neck hard. Hitomi stumbled and Inu Yasha kicked him again so that he fell over. Unable to stop, Kagome ran towards Inu Yasha and grabbed his hand, tugging him harshly away from Hitomi.

"We're going!" She said, her voice shaking.

Inu Yasha tried to pull away from her, but the look on Kagome's face stopped him. She began leading the way back to the hotel, choking back a sob. Suddenly, Sango and Rin ran over to them, smiling. However, their smiles faded when they saw the two and Sango said, "What the hell happened?"

Kagome took a deep breath and said, "Let Ms. Tsuyu know that me and Yash went back to the hotel, okay?"

Sango nodded and watched the two walk off.

Kagome said nothing as she held on to her boyfriend's hand, leading the way up the elevators and to his room. She pulled his room key out of his pocket and opened the door. She remembered putting her key on the nightstand, but noticed it wasn't there, so she just led Inu Yasha into the bathroom and roughly pushed him on the toilet.

He sat down at said, "I'm fine."

She ignored him and tugged his shirt off, looking at the bruises on his chest. He a just one simple cut on his back, which she immediately tended to, not saying anything to him. When she finally finished, she handed him his shirt and he grabbed her hand.

"Why did you have to fight, Inu Yasha?" She finally screamed.

He pulled his hand back, startled. Fuming, he answered, "Because he was all over you!"

Kagome smacked the counter with her hand, ignoring the dull throb that exploded in he hand. "He didn't even touch me, you big dumb oaf!"

He glared at her. "He was about to!"

She took a deep breath and shook her head. "Why are you so damn protective? I was fine, damnit! I was just about to leave when you showed up and had to make a big damn deal over nothing!"

Inu Yasha stood up. "Nothing? NOTHING? Excuse me for making a `big damn deal'! Last time a guy was all over you, he tried to RAPE YOU!"

Kagome flinched at his words and took a step back. Inu Yasha immediately regretted having said that and mumbled, "Kagome, I-"

She shook her head and walked out of the bathroom. Inu Yasha quickly followed her and stopped her before he left his room. "Wait." He said quietly.

Kagome turned around and looked up at his face, tears shining in her eyes. "You didn't need to fight." She murmured. Without another word, she wrapped her arms around his body, hugging him.

Inu Yasha responded quickly, hugging her close to him. The two of them stayed in that position for a few minutes before Kagome muttered against his chest, "I can't handle your fights, Inu Yasha."

He pulled back slightly. "They aren't a big deal."

Kagome released him and glared again. "You try seeing the one that you love getting hurt!"

He glared right back at her. "I did, remember? Who was the one that busted open the door back in the hospital?"

She took a deep breath and leaned back against the door. "I can't do this. You fight over the stupidest things! I'm tied of seeing you get hurt."

He shoved his hands in his pockets. "It's only happened twice since I've met you, Kagome."

"And how many times before that did you fight? How many more fights are you going to get in to?" She spat.

He shrugged. "I always win."

Kagome glared at him. "That doesn't matter! What matters is, I can't stand seeing the one that I love get hurt like this!"

His heart suddenly clenched. "What does that mean?"

Kagome didn't meet his eye. "It means… It means that I can't be with you." She began crying. "I love you to much, and these two simple fights cause me more pain that you can imagine."

Inu Yasha shook his head. "No. No, don't say that."

Kagome let the tears slide down her cheeks. "I'm sorry." He suddenly fell to his knees and Kagome instantly shot her arms out, cradling his head to her stomach. He wrapped his arms around her body, holding her tightly, as if afraid to let go. She stroked the back of his head, tears falling from her eyes. "I can't handle it, Inu Yasha. I love you so much, that seeing you fight like this breaks my heart."

Inu Yasha spoke into her midriff, not releasing his hold on her. "This won't solve anything, Kagome! Please, don't say it."

She bit her lip, trying to stop the tears and said, "I love you."

He looked up at her, surprising her by having tears in his eyes. "I love you too."

Kagome sniffed loudly and bent down. She gently placed her lips against his own, taking in the feel of his lips, wondering if she'll ever feel them again. "I'm sorry." She said again.

Inu Yasha closed his eyes and looked down, at a loss for words. Kagome gently but firmly pried his hands from her body. She stepped away from him and opened the door. Looking back, her heart broke even more as she saw his broken expression. He watched her leave, his heart hurting worse than he has ever known.

Kagome let the door close behind her before bursting in to tears. She hurried down the hall and ran in to Rin, Sango, Sess, and Miroku.

"Kagome-!" Rin started.

Kagome shook her head and took the key from Rin, passing by them. She let herself in the room and hurried into the bathroom to take another shower, wanting to wash away all the pain that she felt.

Sango and Rin looked at each other fearfully. "Did she… break up with him?" Sango finally asked.

Sess glanced at Miroku. "We need to go check on him."

The couples kissed each other goodbye and hurried to their friends.
