Sess and Miroku quickly opened the door to see Inu Yasha still kneeling on the floor, looking down. When they stepped inside, he looked up with a hopelessly lost expression, as if silently asking them what he did to deserve so much pain.

Sess hurried to his brother and lifted him to his feet while Miroku cleared off some of the clothes from Inu Yasha's bed. They sat him down and Inu Yasha did his best to hide his tears that they all knew were falling down his cheeks. But neither of his friends said a word, knowing that they would react the same if their girlfriend/fiance had broken up with them too.

Miroku sat next to Inu Yasha and said quietly, "What the hell happened, man?"

Inu Yasha raised his head slightly and spoke barely above a whisper. "It's over."

Sess sat on the other side of his brother and said, "Why?"

Inu Yasha explained everything that had happened, starting at when he saw Hitomi with Kagome, to when they walked in the room. He looked at his friend and brother and said, "Tell me this isn't happening."

Miroku sighed heavily and grabbed his shoulder. "I'm sorry."

Sess did the same. "It'll be okay."

Inu Yasha stood up quickly. "No it won't! I love her, do you understand? I plan on marrying that girl! She is absolutely everything to me, and now she's gone? No! Fuck no!"

Miroku looked sadly over at Sess. Sess looked at his brother and didn't say anything, knowing that anything he said would piss off the boy even more. Inu Yasha slumped against the wall and muttered in a raspy voice, "I blew it."

Sango and Rin hurried in to the room and heard the water running. They could vaguely hear Kagome sobbing, and they quickly gathered Rin's remaining candy, found a comedy on the TV, and changed into their pajamas. When the shower stopped running, Kagome came out a few minutes later wearing pajama shorts and a tank top, and hugging Inu Yasha's hoodie to herself like a security blanket.

She sat down on her bed and looked up at Sango and Rin, who stood in front of her apprehensively. Without saying anything, Rin handed her a Carmello and sat down next to her. Sango sat down on the other side of her and tucked her hair behind her ear.

Kagome opened the candy bar and took a bite silently. She chewed, swallowed, and burst into tears. Her two friends immediately enveloped her in a tug while she choked out, "We're - over!"

Sango felt her heart breaking for her friend and she stroked her hair. "It'll be okay, Kag."

Rin held back the tears she knew were going to fall and said, "Can you tell us what happened?"

Kagome sniveled and choked out the story, explaining her feelings about Inu Yasha fighting. "I can't stand to see him get hurt!" She clutched his hoodie even tighter and whispered, "But this hurts so much too."

Inu Yasha walked into the bathroom to splash his face with cool water, leaving his brother and friend. They didn't say anything, and neither did he. Inu Yasha pulled off his shirt and pants, walking back to his bed in his boxers.

He sat down and mumbled, "I think I want to go to bed."

Sess nodded and Miroku said, "We're all pretty tired. That's a good idea." The two of them stood up and Inu Yasha said as he peeled back the covers of his bed, "You two can go say goodnight to Sango and Rin, I don't care." Sess glanced over at Miroku, who looked back just as apprehensive. Inu Yasha sighed. "Go. Seriously."

They left the room quickly and walked down to the other room. Miroku quietly knocked on the door, pleased when Sango answered it. She stepped into the hall and shut the door, slightly drowning out the sound of Kagome's crying.

She wrapped her arms around Miroku and said, "I can't believe it."

Miroku nodded and kissed her neck. "How's she doing?"

Sango pulled back and said, "Didn't you hear her crying?" He nodded and sighed. Sango gave Miroku a quick kiss before turning to Sess. "I'll get Rin." He nodded and she let herself back into the room. A few minutes later, Rin stepped out to say good night to them.

She quickly threw herself at Sess and gave him a deep kiss. When they pulled apart she muttered against his lips, "This is terrible." Sess nodded and sighed. He and Miroku walked back down to their room when he pulled away from Rin.

They opened the door quietly to see Inu Yasha sprawled on his bed, already asleep. They walked over to their beds and Miroku muttered, "Hot damn. Poor fucking Yash. This sucks."

Sess nodded and muttered back, "I couldn't imagine not being with Rin."

"I know what you mean. About Sango, I mean." Miroku answered as he crawled in to bed. Sess turned off the lights and laid down on his bed.

Rin shut the door behind her and hurried back to Kagome, who had her head in Sango's lap staring up at the ceiling. When she sat on Kagome's bed, she grabbed Kagome's legs and propped them in her lap. Sango looked at Rin and the two of them looked at the hoodie in Kagome's arms. She still refused to let go of it. Rin twisted her body around and grabbed the remote. She turned up the volume on the TV and said, "Look, it's `Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'! What's funnier that a couple of junkies with a monkey?" (A/N - Haven't seen the movie? SEE IT! I love Jay and Silent Bob, and am a proud owner of all their movies! hehe) Kagome attempted to smile, but settled for staring at the TV screen, not really watching the obscene movie. Not even seeing Silent Bob stick a paper cup of Jay's erection in the fast food restaurant got her to crack a smile, so Rin muted the TV and said, "Want anymore candy, Kag?"

She shook her head and said, "I'm kind of tired, though."

Sango nodded. "It's been a long day. We should all go to bed."

Kagome stood up slowly. "You guys don't have to. I'm fine."

Rin walked over to Kagome and hugged her. "Good night, Kagome."

Kagome crawled in to her bed, still clutching the hoodie, and listened as her best friends crawled into their own beds. Rin shut off the light, and the three of them fell asleep, although Kagome silently cried herself to sleep.

The next morning, Ms. Tsuyu woke the girls again. Rin answered the door, and when she turned around, Sango sat up.

"Think we should wake Kagome?" Sango asked, stretching.

Rin thought for a minute. "Nah, let her sleep. Do you want to shower first or second?"

Sango yawned and shrugged. "You go ahead."

Rin grabbed her things and went into the bathroom. Sango got a few more minutes of precious sleep before Rin stepped out of the bathroom. Sango stumbled into the bathroom to shower while Rin dressed and put her stuff away. Kagome stirred from her slumber and looked over at Rin.

"Morning." Rin said, smiling.

"Morning." Kagome answered quietly. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, feeling horrible. And for some reason, she couldn't remember why. Suddenly, it hit her. The previous night came flooding back into her memory, and she sighed heavily. Life is hell.

When Sango came out of the bathroom, she greeted Kagome with a smile. Kagome half-heartedly returned it and occupied the bathroom. When she stepped out of the shower, Rin knocked at the door.

"Kagome, we're going to get some breakfast. Want us to wait?"

"No thanks. I don't feel like eating." She answered.

"We'll bring you something, just in case." Sango called back.

Kagome nodded, only half aware that they couldn't see her. A few minutes later, she heard the door open and close, knowing that her friends left.

Sess and Miroku greeted Rin and Sango at the elevators, Inu Yasha leaning against the wall behind them. He looked up hopefully, trying to spot Kagome. When he didn't see her, his expression fell and he looked back down.

Rin spoke quietly, though loud enough for Inu Yasha to hear her. "She's kind of tired, so she didn't feel like coming to breakfast."

Inu Yasha nodded once and pushed off from the wall, like he was going to go down to her room. But Rin and Sango stepped in front of him and Sango mumbled, "She needs time."

He looked down again and stepped onto the elevator that just opened. The five of them rode down to the lobby and walked into the diner. They found most of their fellow seniors already there. They took their seats and ate their breakfast, the conversation somewhat tense.

When Sango finished eating, she buttered a bagel and said, "I'm going to go check on her." She pecked Miroku on the cheek quickly and walked away. Sango carried the bagel in a napkin as she walked back to her room. She opened the door slowly and looked around for Kagome. She found her sitting in a chair by the window wearing shorts and a tank top with Inu Yasha's hoodie tied around her waist.

Sango smiled and walked over to her. Kagome looked up and gave a weak smile. "I thought you might be hungry." Sango said, handing Kagome the bagel.

Kagome took it and said, "Thanks, I was getting kind of famished."

The two of them sat in silence while Kagome ate the bagel. When she finished she turned to Sango and said, "What do you think we're doing today?"

Sango leaned against the wall. "Going back out into the city, maybe. We should probably start collecting info for those reports we have to do."

Kagome nodded and stood up, dusting off her shorts. She looked at her friend and took a deep breath. "Is he…"

"He's in the diner with everyone else." Sango finished for her.

Kagome nodded and said, "We should probably get going."

Sango linked arms with Kagome and said, "We'll have fun."

She gave a small nod and they walked down into the lobby.

In the lobby, they found their friends sitting around waiting for them. Rin was sitting on Sess's lap while Miroku sat on a chair across from them. Inu Yasha stood against the wall looking down. Sango immediately walked over to Miroku and sat on his armrest, while Kagome stood around awkwardly, trying not to meet Inu Yasha's eye. When it was time for the seniors to leave, they all followed Ms. Tsuyu outside. Kagome did her best to avoid Inu Yasha, despite the fact that all she wanted to do was throw herself into his arms. He continued trying to catch her eye, but she determinedly looked away.

Outside of the hotel, a bus waited for them. They all boarded and took their seats. Inu Yasha kept an eye on Kagome, obviously hoping to sit with her. Knowing this, Kagome quickly took a seat next to another senior. He grinned at her and she just looked out the window. Inu Yasha ended up sitting with a girl who looked just about ready to pee herself from excitement because she was sitting with him.

The drive to wherever they were going was a short one, and when they arrived the seniors stepped off the bus, listening to Ms. Tsuyu talking about the old building they were in front of. She began explaining the important historical dates involving the place, and Kagome listened with rapt attention to take her mind off Inu Yasha. When Ms. Tsuyu finished speaking, she led the way to some thin steps that led up towards the building. The steps were covered in sand, so when Kagome began walking up the steps, she suddenly slipped and fell backwards, only to land in a pair of warm arms.

Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around Kagome, holding her still as she regained her balance. Kagome tensed slightly when she realized it was him, and he bent his head down to her ear and whispered, "Careful." She swallowed and nodded her head, trying to pull herself from his grasp. Inu Yasha ran his hands down her arms before releasing her. She quickly stepped away from him and hurried up the steps, putting distance between them. Kagome quickly hugged her arms to her body, half wishing that he had just let her fall, and half wishing that she was still in his embrace.

Inu Yasha watched her hurry away, fighting the urge to run after her and make her talk to him. He wanted her back, and he was determined to get her back. But she seemed determined to avoid him. He sighed and shook his head, ignoring his four friends who had watched the whole fiasco.

Rin and Sango detached themselves from Sess and Miroku and hurried after Kagome. They caught up with her and Rin said in a hushed voice, "You okay?"

Kagome took a moment before answering. "I'm fine."

Sango glanced over at Rin and said, "Kagome-"

"It'll just take some getting used to." Kagome interrupted.

The three of them stayed silent until they reached the top of the steps. Ms. Tsuyu began telling them more historical points about the place they were at, but hardly anyone listened. Sango and Rin made their way back to their boyfriend/fiance, and Rin silently pushed Inu Yasha forward, urging him to go to Kagome. She was completely oblivious to that, so she didn't notice when Inu Yasha walked right up behind her. He stayed still for a minute, unsure how to go about the situation. Finally, he wrapped his arms around her, ignoring when she tensed.

"I miss you." He muttered in her ear.

She looked down and stuttered, "I-I… miss you too."

He slightly tightened his grip. "Can we talk about it?"

She shook her head and began pulling away from him. "I can't do this, Inu Yasha. I'm trying to get over you, and you aren't helping."

"I don't want you to get over me!" He snarled.

She bit her lip and pulled herself completely from him. Walking away, she held back the tears in her eyes, knowing full well that Inu Yasha was watching her.

Rin looked over at Sess and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I guess that was a bad idea." She muttered to him.

Sess hugged her back. "He was going to talk to her anyways."

Sango looked over at them and whispered, "I wish there was something we could do."

Miroku slung his arm over her shoulder. "I know babe, but this is their fight. They need to solve this on their own."

Both Sango and Rin looked down, knowing that he was right.

An hour later, the seniors boarded the bus to head back to the hotel. Again, Kagome grabbed a seat next to someone else to Inu Yasha couldn't sit by her. He sighed heavily and sat down next to another girl who was far to excited to be near him. At the hotel, the seniors entered a diner for lunch. Kagome sat between Sango and Rin, inwardly sighing when Inu Yasha sat across from her. He didn't take his eyes off her the entire time, so finally Kagome grabbed the rest of her food and left. She gave a lame stomachache excuse to Ms. Tsuyu and went up to her room to eat without being stared at.

Rin looked up at Inu Yasha and said, "Will she talk to you?" He shook his head and looked down at his food. Sango looked away. She wanted to tell Inu Yasha not to give up, but she knew that Kagome wanted space.

After the teens finished eating, Sango decided to go hang out with Kagome, and Miroku decided to hang out with Inu Yasha. Rin and Sess said they had wedding plans to discuss, so when Miroku and Inu Yasha left, Sango, Rin, and Sess took the elevator back to the thirty-seventh floor. Sango went into their room while Rin and Sess went to his room.

He let them in and Rin immediately launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek. He chuckled and carried her to the bed muttering, "Good excuse."

She laughed and tugged at his shirt. "We can discuss wedding stuff afterwards."

He grinned at her and allowed her to pull off his shirt before he pulled hers off too. He began unbuttoning her shorts as he kissed her chest, tugging at her bra with his teeth. She gripped his shoulders in her hands and rolled them over so she was on top when her shorts were off. She grinned down at him and placed soft kisses down his chest and stomach. When she reached the edge of his pants, she unbuttoned them and began pulling them down, giggling when she saw his teddy bear boxers.

"How cute." She muttered against his lips when she crawled back up his body.

He growled at her and flipped them over again. "They aren't cute."

She giggled and ran her hands over his body. "Yes they are. Teddy bears are so cute."

He chuckled and slowly pulled her bra off. "You're strange."

Rin laughed. "I'm not the one with teddy bears on my underpants." She suddenly gasped when he latched his mouth on her nipple.

He chuckled against her breast and licked and nipped at her breast, bring the nipple to a point. He performed the same ministrations to the other, grinning at the way she moaned and mewled beneath him. Sess moved back up to her lips as he began tugging off her panties. He dropped them on the floor and muttered in her ear, "I have an idea."

Rin forced her eyes open and looked at him, a mixture of confusion and lust in her eyes. "What?" She croaked out, licking her lips.

Sess just kissed her again and said, "Get on your hands and knees."

Rin forced herself up and slowly turned around. Sess moved her body for her, since she wasn't entirely sure what he was up to. Once she was in that position, it struck her. Doggy style. She shivered involuntarily, grinning. Sess stroked one finger down her back before removing his boxers and putting on a condom. Rin turned her head to watch him, biting her lip.

Sess moved right behind her and gently stroked her back and sides. Rin took a deep breath when she felt his erection at her entrance, and Sess leaned forward to kiss any skin he could reach. He slowly began pushing into her heat, biting back the urge to thrust in harshly. This position was new to the both of them, and he didn't want to hurt her.

Rin gasped when he was inside of her and felt her arms shaking. She fell forward, laying her head on her arms, which actually drove him deeper inside of her. They both moaned and Sess panted, "You okay?"

Instead of answering, Rin rocked her hips back, causing him to grip her sides and moan again. He pulled back and thrust into her again, causing her to gasp. Sess rubbed his hands over her body, gently squeezing her breasts when he came across them. He pulled back slowly and thrust into her again, causing them both to moan. Rin clenched her muscles around him, causing him to lean closer to her, kissing her back and stroking her body.

Rin panted as he began moving faster and harder, gripping her body in his hands. She lightly bit onto her arm to keep from calling out as he moved his hand in between her legs to massage her nub. Sess stroked her vigorously, moaning at the way her tight body squeezed around him.

They were both building and they could feel it in each other. Sess pumped in and out of her mercilessly, groaning and grunting. Rin panted and her muscles tightened around his length even more until she climaxed half a second before him. He moaned and she called out as they flew through the passion together. Completely spent, Sess slumped over her sweaty body and the two of them laid on the bed together, panting. Still inside of her, Sess began kissing the back of her shoulder and she giggled softly.

"Good boy." She muttered.

He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her.
