Rin sat in complete shock, staring at her father. "You… Wha-?"

He gave a small, slightly exasperated smile. "I want you to go with me, Rin."

She swallowed thickly and stood up. "Bu- I can't! What about me and Sess?"

He sighed and looked up at her. "Rin, you two are just high school sweethearts. It's nothing serious."

Rin's jaw dropped before she clamped it shut and thrust her hand out, showing him the engagement ring. "Nothing serious? You call this nothing serious?"

Rin's father eye's widened in surprise. He stared at the ring with confusion on his face. "What is that?"

She pulled her hand back and answered softly. "It's an engagement ring, Daddy. Me and Sessy are getting married."

He sat in complete silence for an entire minute before finally saying, "No. No. You can't marry, you're to young!"

Rin gave a small sigh. "Young and in love, Daddy."

He stood up. "Marriage is hard work, Rin! You really think you'll be able to do it?"

Rin smiled. "Of course. We love each other."

"Just because you say you love him doesn't mean your marriage will last!" He bellowed.

Rin looked down and whispered, "Please just be happy for me, Daddy. I'm in love with Sessy."

Mr. Tenseiga crossed his arms in front of him. "No. I'm sorry, Rin, but I don't approve of this marriage."

Rin gasped and looked up. "Bu-! You can't say that! You can't! Daddy, you are the one who'll walk me down the aisle!"

Mr. Tenseiga gave his daughter a sad look and he said, "I cannot participate in a marriage that I do not approve of."

Tears filled Rin's eyes as she screamed, "Why don't you like Sessy?!"

"Don't you raise your voice at me, Rin! We will not discuss this now. But when I talk to you tomorrow, that ring better be back with Sess."

Rin burst into tears. "No! You can't do this!"

He turned around and walked out of the room. "You're tired. Go to bed."

As he left, Rin fell to the floor sobbing.

Inu Yasha laid down on his bed, closed his eyes, and fell asleep. Him and Kagome needed to get this pregnancy test done so they could see where they needed to go from there, and he decided that he was going to take her to the drug store after school on Monday.

Miroku's parents sat in the front seat of their car, talking happily. Sango and Miroku sat in the bank seat, him looking bored and her looking tired. She leaned her head down on his shoulder and closed her eyes, smiling when he placed his own head atop hers. As the kids dozed off into a light slumber, Miroku's mother turned her head around and smiled at the teens.

"Don't they look so sweet, dear?"

Her husband glanced in his mirror at them. "They really do."

She smiled and said in a quieter voice, "I think our little Miroku has fallen in love."

He grinned. "Wonder when he'll pop he question."

She gasped and faced him. "Do you really think he will! Oh, that would be perfect! Now, we just need to meet her father… You know, I stopped by her house yesterday after we arrived and-"

"You were snooping?" He asked, eyebrow raised.

She waved her hand. "No, not snooping. Looking around."

He snorted. "Snooping."

"Anyways." She said loudly. "No one was home. Not her father, not her brother. Mushin said that Kohaku was probably at a friends house, but that doesn't explain why their father was gone, or why Kohaku's backpack was in Miroku's room."

Her husband sighed. "I know, I get the feeling that we aren't being told something, too."

She sighed. "I guess we'll just have to try and figure it out ourselves."

Sango's eyes snapped open, looking worried.

Kagome quickly stepped out of her house and walked down the sidewalk. She had convinced her mother to let her go to the store before she rested, so Kagome practically power-walked to the drug store. She couldn't take the suspense any more of this possible pregnancy, so when she stepped off the plane, she vowed to find out today. She decided against letting Inu Yasha know about her plan. She had enough nervousness, she didn't need his added to it.

Kagome walked into the drug store and, keeping her head down, walked to the pregnancy test section. Looking over all her options, she felt herself become lost. Which one should she get? She wanted the most accurate, but they all claimed 100 percent accuracy! She took a deep breath and wiped her sweaty hands on her jeans. Finally, after nearly five minutes of staring at all the boxes, she did `eeny-meeny-minie-moe' and picked up the one her hand landed on. Confident with the one she picked, she took it to the counter, blushing. The cashier smiled politely at her and rang it up, but before she could tell Kagome her total, someone called out.

"Kagome? What are you doing here?"

Kagome's stomach dropped as she turned around. She blanched. "Sess? I… I'm buying… What are you doing here?"

He held up some chips and dip. "I'm hungry."

Kagome smiled meekly and turned around. She thrust money onto the counter, mumbled, "Keep the change." And stuffed her purchase in her pocket. Smiling at Sess she said, "I'll see you later, Sess."

Sess watched her walk away, looking confused. Shrugging, he stepped up to the counter and set his food in front of the cashier. Seeing a receipt, he picked it up to throw it away before realizing it was Kagome's. Curiosity getting the better of him he read it over and his jaw dropped. What is Kagome doing with a pregnancy test? Shit, does Inu Yasha know?

Miroku and Sango leaned on each other as they walked into Mushin's house. Miroku's parents were bringing in their luggage and his mother called out, "Would you like us to bring you home, Sango? I'm sure your father wants to see you."

Miroku placed his arm around her waist as her steps faltered and he said, "Her dad is out of town for a few days, so can she stay in the guest bedroom?"

His mother turned her head to the side. "Well normally we'd say yes, but that's where we're staying."

Miroku's eyes went to Mushin without his parents knowing. But all Sango's stuff was there… Did they see it?

Sango quickly cleared her throat and said, "You know, I think I'll just go back to my house. My dad will be back soon, so it's no problem."

Miroku glanced at Sango. "I'll take her back."

His parents agreed, so Miroku piled her luggage into the trunk of his car and they go in. Mushin walked over to them while Miroku's parents went inside the house and he said, "All Sango and Kohaku's stuff is in the attic. Kohaku is at Souta's house for now. You two are welcome back here at anytime, they just don't know that you are living here."

"Do they know about my dad, even?" Sango asked.

"No. Completely clueless."

Sango nodded and Miroku drove away. They sat in silence, both watching the rode. Finally, Sango said, "Your parents want to find out about my dad."

Miroku sighed. "I figured it'd only be a matter of time till they got suspicious."

She chewed on her lip. "I don't want them to know."

Miroku nodded. "I know baby. And they don't have to know for as long as you don't want to tell them."

She gave a tired but grateful smile. They pulled up to her house and she took a deep breath. "God I hate this hell hole." She muttered as she got out of the car.

Miroku looked up at the house. "Kind of a big house. To big for one person, if you know what I mean."

Sango laughed. "Miroku, your parents are visiting. Go spend time with them."

He placed his hands on her hips. "I'll be by later."

"But your parents-"

"We'll eat a meal together, I'll tell them about the Bahamas and school, and then they'll spend the remainder of the time they're here on the phone with their jobs." He interrupted.

She sighed and pulled him in for a hug. "Families are annoying."

He chuckled and kissed her neck. "Very true." Gripping her backside he asked, "How is it that your house hasn't been repossessed or something? No one's been living here."

"I've stopped by here after school on occasion to get the bills and make sure it hasn't been broken into."

He frowned. "Where was I?"

She laughed. "Who knows. Look, forget it. It's not important."

The two of them walked up to the house with her luggage and dropped it in the front hall. She walked into the kitchen and said, "I think I'll sell this place when I'm old enough."

"But what if your dad wants to live here?"

She pursed her lips. "Miroku, I love you, but you're pissing me off with all this dad crap."

He sighed. "Sango, he really might be getting help."

"Or he might be lying on the street, piss drunk and half dead!" She snapped.

He pulled her into a hug. Without saying anything, she wrapped her arms around him and took a deep breath. They stayed in each other's embrace until Miroku kissed her temple and she said, "Go spend time with your parents. If you can come over later, than do." She handed him the house key and said, "I might be asleep, so let yourself in."

Miroku grinned. "Can I take advantage of you while you sleep?"

Sango rolled her eyes and pushed him out the door. "Go home."

He laughed and gave her a quick kiss. "See you in a few hours."

Sango shut the door behind him and went to call her brother at Souta's house.

Sess walked out of the store eating chips, deep in thought. Kagome had a pregnancy test. Inu Yasha wasn't with her. What was going on? Before he could dwell in it for to long, his cell phone rang. Looking at the Caller ID, he grinned when he saw it was Rin. "Hey baby." He said smoothly.

A sobbing heave was heard from the other end.

"Rin? Baby? What's wrong?" He asked, immediately concerned.

"Se-" She hiccoughed. "Sessy, please come get me!"

He jumped into his car. "Where are you?"

"Ho-" Another hiccough. "Home!"

Sess drove down the road quickly, dodging other vehicles and running red lights. He let Rin cry into the phone as he tried soothing her with his words. At her house he leapt out of his car without even turning it off and ran inside her house. A butler quickly pointed him in the direction of her and he ran into the parlor to see her sobbing. He hurried over to her and she threw herself at him.

"I hate him Sessy, I hate him! How can he do this!" She screamed, tears wetting his shirt.

"Who baby? What's going on?"
Through her loud sobs, Rin told Sess what had happened with her father. "And he just left to go to his office. I don't want to be here, Sessy." She looked up into his eyes, pleading. "Please take me to your house."

Sess picked her up and carried her bridal style to his car. He set her in the passenger seat and had to pry her hands off his neck so he could get in the driver seat. The two of the drove in silence to his house, Rin occasionally sniffing loudly. Sess was beyond pissed. What the hell was Rin's father thinking? No one, especially not Rin, deserved this pain. Sess gripped his steering wheel tightly. The two of us are going to have a long talk. He vowed, pulling up his driveway.

Kagome slammed the front door behind her and ran up to her room, passing Kohaku, Shippo, and Souta. She locked her door, ran into her bathroom, and locked that door to. Turning around to face the toilet she took a deep breath. With shaking hands she took out the pregnancy test and read the instructions carefully.

Sess carried Rin into his house. Sakura was sitting in the dining room, so he brought his fiance to his mother. Quietly, he explained what Rin's father had said. He set Rin down next to Sakura and said, "I'm going out."

Rin sat up quickly and gave her fiance a watery stare. "Where are you going?"

He kissed her cheek. "I'll be back soon."

Rin tried to stand up but Sakura held her down. "You can't go talk to my father, Sessy! You can't!"

Sess pulled away from her. "I won't let him do this."

Tears began pouring down Rin's cheeks. "Sessy, please don't!"

He gave her a said stare. "I won't let him hurt you like this." With that, he walked out of the room. Rin cried out and threw herself at Sakura, who wrapped her arms around her in a motherly way, letting her cry as much as she needed.

Miroku drove up Sango's driveway and got out of his car. Sure enough, his parents had enough time to have a quick meal with him and ask few questions about his life and the trip before they got on the phones to talk business. Mushin told him to go to Sango's as he settled in front of the TV, so Miroku wasted no time in jumping in his car and driving away.

He unlocked the door quietly and stepped inside. He found Sango asleep on the couch with a blanket over her, so he grinned and curled up on the couch behind her. Wrapping and arm over her body he kissed her shoulder before falling asleep to.

Kagome took a deep breath as she waited for the result of the test. She paced, twiddled her thumbs, and constantly brushed her hair as she waited. When it was finally time to see the result, she squeezed her eyes shut, picked up the test, and took a deep breath. Peeking through one eye, Kagome saw the result.

Sess drove down to Rin's father's office. He jumped out of the car, walked past the security, and up to the man's office. Without even knocking he opened the door and came face to face with him, Sess looking pissed, the man looking annoyed.
