InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Teasing ❯ Let us go home ( Chapter 8 )
8. Let us go home…
Kagome and Miroku both smiled when they saw Inuyasha carry Sango like she was the most valuable treasure in the world. The glow in Sango's eyes told them that this was not one-sided; she loved Inuyasha as much as he loved the taijya. They had been friends for a long time and they all had been going through much together. To spoil it with jealousy and hate, no it was not worth it.
- How are you feeling Sango-chan? asked Kagome and sat down next to the slayer. Inuyasha mumbled something about hunting and took off again.
- Yes, the wound is healing just fine, thanks to your bandage and his ministrations, smiled Sango and gave Kagome a hug. Are you mad at me Kagome-chan?
- No, I admit I was jealous at first, but not anymore. I am glad you two got together and I think Miroku thinks the same too.
The monk nodded and fired off a sainty smile and got back to maintain the fire.
It did not take Inuyasha to long to find a couple of rabbits and he headed back to camp. He gave Kagome his catch and then went to his mate and kissed her, glad they did not had to hide their relationship anymore. He sat down on the ground and pulled Sango into his lap. He nuzzled her neck, taking in her scent, making sure that she was healthy.
They ate under silence and once they were ready they got back on the road, this time to travel back to Kaedes village.
Inuyasha jumped gracefully through the forest floor with Sango in his arms and Kagome, Miroku and Shippou rode on the transformed Kirara's back. Like this it did not take them very long to get back to the village.
The old miko saw the odd group return, she was a bit surprised to see Sango cradled in Inuyasha's arms, and by the way the hanyou looked at the slayer, yes - something had happened, but what. She welcomed the group into her hut and they sat down under silence.
- Ok, so what happened? she demanded to know, her eye never left the cuddling pair in the corner. The way Inuyasha held Sango, the way she leaned into his touching, she would have guessed that Inuyasha finally had chosen his mate.
- We found only one shard, said Kagome and held up the jewel.
- Actually, it was not that I was wondering about, said Kaede and raised the eyebrow over her patch.
- I think you and I Kaede-sama, should get ready to perform a wedding-ceremony, said Miroku with a gentle smile and looked at Inuyasha's blushing face. Sango was just as red.
- And I will help Sango to find the perfect wedding-dress, said Kagome with a wide smile and hung the jewel back around her neck.
- Kaede-sama, I was wondering if you could help me get some of the villagers to help me build a house? asked a beet red hanyou.
- Inuyasha, have someone beaten you over the head to many times? said a confused Kaede.
- Why do you think that?
- Never mind, of course I will ask the villagers for help if that is what you want. Do you have a place to build a house?
- No, not yet.
During they talk Sango looked at Inuyasha, how long had he planned this she wondered. And did he really want a human wedding too? Her mate to be had once again surprised her.
- Well, it is time for me to head back to my time, said Kagome after a few minutes of silence and she rose to her feet.
- Let me accompany to the well Kagome-sama, said Miroku and Shippou looked pleading too.
- Ok, I will be back in five days; I have a lot of tests I must get my self ready for.
- See you soon Kagome-chan, said Sango and hugged the young miko from the future. And thank you.
- And Inuyasha, be good to my sister, said Kagome with a smug smile and patted his silvery head.
- Keh!!
- I mean it Inu-chan… !
- Yeah, yeah, I'll be a good boy, snorted Inuyasha.
- That is better. Ja ne!!
Sango moved to nudge her head against his shoulder and his scolding face turned into a soft smile and he shifted her around to get a more comfortable position in his lap.
- Sooo, when did you plan on telling me that you were going to build us a house and marry me? she asked with a honey laced voice.
- Huh??
- Don't play stupid with me dog boy…
- I thought a lot about this when you were asleep, I meant to tell you today, but something just got out of hand once we got back here, said Inuyasha and kissed her nose. And now it is time for Kaede to take care of that wound of yours. I will off hunting, a male must always see to that his female is taken care of…
- Be careful, said Sango and moved from his lap.
- I always am koishii, he said and kissed her before rising to his feet.
And with that he disappeared from the hut. Sango blushed a bit when she heard the old miko chuckle from her corner. Kaede crushed some herbs that were good for healing wounds and she helped Sango to remove the bandage. The wound had began to heal nicely, and she wondered how that was possible. But she guessed that Sango had no clue to it either so she did not ask any questions about it.
