14. I am going to be an uncle?

"Why did he have to show up tonight? Could he not have waited until we were settled in the house first?"Inuyasha growled and sniffed the air. His nose did not deceive him; his brother was on his way towards them.

- What is it Inuyasha? whispered Sango again.

- It's my brother; he is coming, said Inuyasha and pulled out his sword.

- Your brother? Sesshoumaru?

- That's the one.

- What do you think he wants?

- My life in order to get the sword of course, snarled Inuyasha.

- Well, he is not going to succeed, said Sango and rushed back to the cabin to get her weapons.

- SANGO!!yelled Inuyasha after her.

"Fuck, she is going to get her self in trouble again."He thought but his attention was soon turned towards a white blurry ball.

Sesshoumaru appeared in front of his brother. He sniffed the air and he smirked. "So my little brother has taken a mate. It was as I, Sesshoumaru, suspected." He thought and watched Inuyasha's white clothing. And by the look and stance of his brother he obviously thought that he was there to fight. "You are wrong little brother. I have no intention on fighting you anymore. I have found the Toujiakin to be a suitable sword for me, I do not need to fight anymore."

- Sesshoumaru, what are you doing here? snarled Inuyasha and was ready for a fight with his bastard brother.

- Calm down little brother, I have only come here to congratulate you on your recent mating, said Sesshoumaru and smirked.

- Pull another one, please..

- It is the truth; this Sesshoumaru has no reason to lie.

Sango came back, yielding her powerful Hiraikotsu over her head. She was ready to fight together with her mate.

Sesshoumaru raised a surprised eyebrow. His brother had mated with the taijya? That was indeed a surprise, he had been sure the hanyou would have taken the strange girl as his mate.

- Indeed little brother, I see you have chosen a strong woman as your mate, said Sesshoumaru and bowed towards Sango. I, Sesshoumaru am here to congratulate you to your mating taijya-sama.

- Huh??? Sango made a good impression of a fool.

- Oi Sesshoumaru, have you been hit on the head or what? You are acting weird, said Inuyasha and moved so Sango was standing behind him.

- What I have told you is the truth. I have no need of fighting you over our father's fang anymore and I wanted us to call a truce.

- A truce? Sango looked over the shoulder of Inuyasha.

- Yes, a truce and I wanted you to know that you and your mate are welcome to live in my castle and rule the land with me, said Sesshoumaru, making Inuyasha drop his sword to the ground in confusion.

- W-What???

- Perhaps you already have a place of your own?

- Inuyasha built us a house not far from here, said Sango and stepped in front of Inuyasha.

- Oh I see, well, you are still welcome to visit me and Rin-chan in the castle, said Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha almost fell over when he heard the disappointment in his brother's voice.

- Rin-chan??

- RIN!!

A small rustle of leafs and a smiling girl appeared in the clearing.

- Hai Sesshou-papa?

- Come here, I want you to meet your uncle and his mate Sango-sama, said Sesshoumaru and lifted up the girl in his arms and carried her towards Inuyasha and Sango.

- Uncle Inu and Aunt Sango, Rin is pleased to meet you, said the girl and held out her hand.

- Rin-chan, I am glad to have met you too, said Sango and took the girls hand in her own and pressed it lightly.

- Sesshoumaru, what is the meaning of this? Sesshou-papa? Inuyashas voice was filled with confusion.

- Yes, I have adopted Rin as my pup, said Sesshoumaru with pride.

- Oh Kami-sama, I think I am going crazy.

- I have come to love her as my own child and I wanted you to know this.

Inuyasha just nodded and watched Sango take the girl into a heart-warming hug. He just had to believe that his icy brother had a heart and that he was telling them the truth.

Sesshoumaru heard the girls giggle and he smiled. He was happy for his brother; the woman was a perfect mate. He felt a small emptiness appear in his chest but he shrugged it off the next second. He sniffed the air and his smile got wider.

- Inuyasha, do you know? He asked and looked back at his brother.

- Yes I know, I was planning on telling her just before you showed up, said Inuyasha and a small blush appeared on his cheeks.

- Oh I see, then I better leave you to it little brother, smirked Sesshoumaru.

- What are you going to do?

- Well, since Rin is very fond of dancing, I think I shall take her down to your village to dance a bit.

Inuyasha rolled his eyes, not quite believing his ears. His brother, the human hater, would take his adoptive daughter to a human celebration to dance? Hell had indeed frozen over this morning.

- Rin-chan, come I will take you to the village and dance if you like.

- YAY!! Will Sesshou-papa dance with Rin? asked the girl and her eyes glittered with enthusiasm.

- Well, I do not know about that, but you can dance if you like.

- We will go with you or else you might scare the people, said Sango and rose to her feet and was embraced by two strong arms.

- That make sense, nodded Sesshoumaru and they walked back to the village.

Inuyasha sighed a bit, this was proving to be one hell of an interesting evening.
