Chapter 2 Mood Swings

Sesshomaru hit his head aginst the trunk of the tree a couple more times "baka, baka, baka!", he scolded himself, then, rubbing his forhead stred glummily up at the stars, "...".

why did he have to be so up front? and why had she taken it so well? isn't she suppost to hate me? i can't believe i said that!!! his mind screamed at him. why'd you have to be so bloody soft? your lord sesshomaru! not some love dazed puppy! sesshomaru snarled as his thoughts continued to scream at him about how stupid he was. he looked around searching for another tree to bang his head on.


Kagome had to grip her sides to keep from laughing out loud and disturbing the demon from his personal torture. lord sesshomaru is banging his head aginst a tree!!!! her mind giggled. i can't believe he blushed!!!!!!

~flash back~

She smiled and finally looked up at him, " you called me kagime-chan!!" she said in surpirse. sesshomarus eyes widened slightly and he backed up a step and crossed his arms, trying to keep his emotions in. he felt his blood travel up his chest to his face, turning his normal pale feminine face to flush violently. he growled at his slip of composure and spun around, hoping she didn't see. a false hope of course.

Kagome blinked a couple times, trying to explain to herself that she DID NOT just see the lord to the west, sesshomaru, blush. she stood up and moved over to him, " uh....." she said uncertainly, " lord sesshomaru...are you....feeling...alright?" she reached out and touched his shoulder.

sesshomaru froze under her touch, shit!!!! his mind screamed, run! run away! his natural instintic bellowed into his head. he glanced at her, and shoved her hand away from him. he growled menacingly and and baered his teeth at her.

kagome stepped back and tripped on her backpack to fall backwards, her hair coming around to cover her eyes. she struggled up from the ground and looked around. he had left.

a giggle slipped past her lips at the memory. oh! crap!

Sesshomaru spun around and glared at the bushes where the sound had come from. oh! kami! shes watching!!!!! he tried to compose himself and strod over to where she was hiding. he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to stand up. he cleared his throat.

Kagome jumped up blushing furiously and backed away till she hit a tree. she had been doing that alot lately. sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at her and his mouth twisted into a thin white line, " you tell anyone......" he growled dangerously at her. kagome nodded violently, " yes sesshomaru-san, anything you say sesshomaru-san, i'm at your bec and call sesshomaru-san! " she rambled, fear shone clear in her eyes.

Sesshomaru contemplated bashing his head on another tree. i didn't mean to frighten her...well okay, yes i did! but it was just so natural for me!!! his mind argued with no one in particular.

Kagome looked up at him in terror wondering why he wasn't saying anything. she tried to move back again but hit her head to the truck of the tree she had backed herslf into earlier. " ow! bloody, stupid, god damned tree!" she snapped at the tree her eyes swinging emotions from fear to anger. she galred at the tree hard enough hoping to burn a hole through it, when she heard snickering.

sesshomaru had been tossing a coin in his head weather or not he should apologise to her when he heard a crack and looked at kagome to see her cursing at a tree. he shook his head when she called upon someone he didn't know but was fighting back laughter, and didn't have the chance to turn it over in his mind. he clutched his chest, trying to keep his humor in side. and failed miserably. he bagan to chuckle, which built to a snicker, then to a full blown laugh.

kagome stared at him in shock... has sesshomaru-san gone insane?! what is wrong with him?!!!!! her mind fought over weather or not sesshomaru was crazy of possesed. crazy won. she edged around him and backed away till she reached a medow, then thinking she was far enough away, she yelled uot, " uh...seshomaru? you ahven't lost your mind already have you?!"

sesshomaru stopped laughing suddently, " ALREADY?!" he demanded as he tore therough the forest looking for her. he followed her sent and stalked up to her stood menacingly over her. kagome gulped, okay, so he isn't crazy..maybe a bit mad.... she murmured in her head, a bit...A BIT?! hes friggin' pissed, thats what!!!! she cringed away from sesshomaru.

sesshomaru seethed and closed his eyes trying to fight his yuroki (sp?). sit..stay..what ever the fuck i need to say for you to not come out!!!! he bellowed into his mind, trying with all his might not to kill her. he took a deep breath and opened his eyes to see kagome tense and scared. he sighed and rubbed his forehead.

" oaky..." he said trying to think of a way to explain his mood swings, " uh...see when its mateing season and a demon is attracted to someone....they tend to act on their feelings more that usual and...." "WHAT?!!!!" she screeched, " your...your...ATTRACTED TO SOMEONE?!!!!!" she looked up at the heavens, " and i thought all that could possibly happen had already been done!!!!" she looked back at him.

sesshomaru was now the one cringing in fear, she's scary when shes upset...wait! why is she upset in the first place? its not like she has any feelings for me... she loves inu-yahsa!

kagome wanted to slap herself! she made sesshomaru scared!!!! then she blinked and rethought that, i made sesshomaru scared!she thought with a smile. she, not one to surpress emotions, jumped around doing a little dance, " cool!" she yelped out in delight!

Sesshomaru eyed her with aprehension, what is she so happy about? he thought. wait..no, i really don't want to know.... he turned around and walked off to find their abandonded campsite.

kagome finally stopped dancing to notice that sesshomaru had left. she shrugegd like it was no big deal, and began to walk back to their campsite when she relized that she had no idea where she was!

" shit!...uh...sesshomaru-san?"
