Chapter Three: Misunderstanding

 

Kagome shot Sesshomaru a pissed off look that said clearly, ` If- you- say- even- one- word- I'm- going- to- be- very- pissed'

 

Sesshomaru gulped and slowed down so he was walking behind her, away from her flame of a gaze. He really shouldn't have left her in that forest. I'm such an idiot! Yeah, I was scared... which is a big thing for me to admit, but Kami! She was acting so weird! And what was with that little dance?

 

Kagome crossed her arms over her chest and stormed up the road, bloody jackass! How dare he! Just leave me there will he? Well he'll pay for making me wander the forest for an hour!!! What shall I do...? Pound him into the ground? Or yell so loud his ear drums burst…

 

Sesshomaru eyed her back like she was about to spin around and tear him into tiny little pieces of dog food. He moved even further back so he could avoid her sent as well.

 

I just know she's thinking about all the ways she can kill me! His mind muttered in despair, so what? she was in the forest for a bit, its not like she was in any danger…much anyway. He mentally rolled his eyes; I've begun to act like my bastard of a brother. Mood swings, emotions, and hanging around humans…I HATE humans!!! He wanted to hit his head against a tree.

 

Kagome was getting pretty tired of being angry, she tried to look at Sesshomaru out of the corner of her eye, but he was to far back. She growled, Time-warped Neanderthal! Her mind muttered, stupid pig! Fine! Leave me to lead the way! She grinned mischievously, I'll get us so lost he'll have to talk to me again!... of course I'm the one Who was pissed off, but still! He's the prig who told me he's attracted to someone then wouldn't tell me WHO!!!!! Way to keep up the suspense Sesshomaru! Thanks!

 

~ Three hours later ~

 

Shit! Shit, Shit, Shit! He should have paid more attention to where they were going! Now they were in the middle of that stupid wolf koga's land. He looked at Kagome, who was now sitting on a rock, waiting for him to say something. He growled and clenched his hands into a fist. Damn it! She knows! she knows that she lead us astray! Damn bitch of a girl!!!!!

 

Hehehehhehe! She fought the urge to giggle, he looks so angry! yes! Now all I have to do is sit and wait for him to talk to me!....man this is taking long…. She sighed and shifted positions and glanced around, come on come on come on! We don't have all day!

 

Sesshomaru opened his mouth to say he was sorry, the first apology he had even even thought about saying when a whiff of sent flew past him. Damn it!!!!

 

A wind blew, stirring up the dust of the road and making Sesshomaru cover his eyes. After the dust settled they he found a dumbfounded demon standing between them.

 

“What?...where?...where's Inu-yasha?!” koga stumbled out, looking first from Kagome to Sesshomaru.

 

Kagome jumped out from her rock and rushed over to stand beside Sesshomaru, “koga! I wasn't expecting to see you so soon!” and to interrupt Sesshomaru when he's trying to apologies! “ Inu-yasha isn't here, what you wanted to speak to him or something?” she asked with her innocent face on.

 

“ what?! NO!...i just wanted to know why….what are you doing with Sesshomaru?” koga asked a confused. When he didn't get an answer from Kagome he turned on Sesshomaru.

 

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY WOMAN?!”

 

Sesshomaru flinched at the loud voice but just pushed Kagome behind him, “ your woman?” he asked with a smirk.

 

Kagome turned red and darted over to him koga, “STOP CALLING ME THAT! I AM NOT YOUR WOMAN!!!” she screamed at him, her fist clenched at her sides.

 

Koga paled and backed up, “ but…Kagome…I claimed you….” Koga whined.

 

Sesshomaru grinned and stepped forward took Kagome in his arms, sneering at koga he raised an eyebrow, “ really? I don't smell you on her…..” he mocked and flew away on his cloud. Listening to koga yelling at his to “unhand his woman”.

 

Kagome was frozen in fear, the only one who she let carry her was Inu-yasha, and she felt very uncomfortable. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!!!!! Her mind panicked, hes carrying me…wait! He smiled!!!!! Sesshomaru, lord of the western lands smiled! At me!!!! she fought the urge to do her little dance, (which she stole from me!!!! sorry…I'll shut up now…) and just closed her eyes and concentrated on the wind blowing through her hair.

 

Sesshomaru clenched his jaw and tried to ignore the girl in his arms…and her heavenly sent, like the wild flowers rin always braided into his hair. RIN!!!!!! Oh shit!!!! He couldn't leave her with Jaken for too long!

 

“Uh Sesshomaru-sana?” Kagome questioned trying with all her might to not to act on her newly returned fear of hights and burry her nose in his chest, “ where are we going?”

 

“to meet rin.”
