*NOTE* This is a summary for those who don’t already know the whole story of Inu-Yasha and it’s characters. If you have seen or read most of Inuyasha or have a very good idea about it then you can skip this if you wish. Go to the bottom where you see the stars to get a recap of where we’re at in the story.

Prolog-

Kagome Higurashi is a 15 year old girl who found an ancient land. She released a young inu-hanyou from a seal he had been kept under for 50 years. Young Higeroshi had also met an old priestess named Kaede. The old women was Kikyu’s, the young inu-hanyou lost love, younger sister. Kagome is thought to be Kikyu’s reincarnation. (well enough of that.)

Kagome is the new protector of the Shikon Jewel, but when she and the inu-hanyou went after a crow demon who swallowed the jewel, she accidentally shattered the jewel into may fragments. Now Kagome and the inu-hanyou , Inuyasha, must find all the pieces and fix the jewel.

In their quest for the jewel shards they met up with many different people. First was a young kitsune pup named Shippo, then a lustrous monk named Miroku, and a demon slayer named Sango. Everyone seem to be entangled with the jewel. Miroku has a black hole in his hand called the wind tunnel. Naraku, an evil half demon, cursed Miroku’s great grandfather with the wind tunnel and all of Miroku’s line faces death from the wind tunnel. Sangos’ family and village all went to destroy a spider demon but Naraku killed her whole village. He’s also the reason Sango met the rest of the group. He had claimed that Inuyasha was the one responsible for her villages’ death, but that all turned around soon. Sango’s younger brother Kohaku was brought back to life by a single jewel fragment but he’s under Naraku’s control.

Some demons you meet along the way are;

Sesshomaru- Inuyasha’s older half brother. He’s not very helpful and tries to kill Inuyasha almost all the time. Naraku took Rin (a young human girl Sesshomaru cares for.) and now Sesshomaru wishes to kill him. (Even though he has Rin back.)

Jakin- A toad like demon who follows Sesshomaru and is sort of an advisor for him. When Rin showed up he has the new job of watching over her when Sesshomaru leaves.

Rin (not a demon)- A young human girl who tried to cure Sesshomaru after fighting Inuyasha. The wolves killed her but Sesshomaru used his sward the Tenseiga to bring her back to life. She’s followed him ever since.

Koga- He’s the young wolf tribe leader who has strong affections for Kagome. He and Inuyasha fight constantly over her, but Konga’s a good ally to have.

Kikyo (not a demon but she’s close enough) - She was resurrected and has one part of Kagome’s sole. She wanders around with sole collectors. She helps Naraku to get back at Inuyasha. She can be kind, but normally she’s not. Inuyasha always runs off to her when he knows that she’s around. Naraku eventually kills her.

Naraku- Originally he was a human bandit named Oigumo. He was so badly wounded that he was unable to move or function on his own. Kikyu went to the cave he laid in and nursed him. Oigumo started to care deeply (mostly lust) for Kikyu and he called demons to him and told them to eat his flesh and make him a demon. He then fooled Kikyu and Inuyasha into deceiving each other. Inuyasha was put under the spell and Kikyu died. Later Naraku cursed Miroku’s family with the wind tunnel, then gave Sesshomaru a dragon arm that nearly killed him. He killed Sango’s Family and village and threatens to hill he brother. Soon he becomes a very powerful demon.

Kagura- A reincarnate of Naraku. She’s a wind sorceress and is looking to find a way out of Naraku’s control.

Kana- Also a reincarnate of Naraku. She’s emotionless and is a keeper of a mirror that can such the sloe out of a person.

Kagome’s Family;

Mom- She’s a very caring person who supports Kagome in all that she does.

Grandpa- An elderly man who takes care of the shrine and likes to tell of everything’s legends though not many people pay attention to him.

Sota- Kagome’s younger brother, he’s a bit of a sacredly cat but he’s cool. Normally he’s in charge of keeping Inuyasha occupied while Kagome’s studying.

Now that we all know who everyone is (or have recapped the characters.) lets’ start the story……

Our story begins four years after Kagome first met Inuyasha. Naraku is dead . Sango and Miroku have become closer and Miroku even proposed!! They’re going to have their wedding with in the next two full moons. Shippo lives between Inu and Kagome and Sango and Miroku. Even though Naraku is dead the jewel is still shattered and the group still goes on quests for the shards. Kagome is 19 now and has finished High School. Though her mother wishes that she would go to college Kagome knows that her place is in the feudal era.

Inu and her have become even come closer. Kagome and Inuyasha find peace in the other’s company . On some occasions Inuyasha will sit with Kagome nestled in his arms while she read a book to him. Inu especially likes this because her stories seem so interesting. One book he found interesting was called “The Magician’s Nephew” by C.S. Lewis, which was about a boy named Digory and a girl named Polly who discovered different words by way of magic rings.

Even with Naraku dead you still have Kagera and Kana about, and Kohaku regained his memories but they still don’t know how to remove the shard without killing him.

Another person Inuyasha wishes he’d had gotten rid of is the young wolf tribe leader, Koga. Those two still have stouts and Kagome is reluctant to making Koga understand.

Sesshomaru no longer travels very far from his lands. Many days he’s in politics, though he does enjoy going out to check his lands with the young girl Rin, who seems to grow more everyday.
