startled faces looked down on her as she regained consciousness. Inuyasha heaved a very relieved sigh, and her mother offered to get everyone some tea to calm their nerves. Souta was busy gazing up at the new addition to the room in awe, while Kagome herself was just trying to come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t all a dream.
“Daddy?” she tentatively questioned. Gazing, she took in her father’s chocolate, joy-filled eyes, his strong facial structure, the prominent cheekbones that were seen in both Souta’s and her own face. “Daddy!” She recognized as she lunged at the mysterious man centered in the room.
“Where’ve you been all this time, old man?” Inuyasha yelled angrily as he unconsciously pulled Kagome’s body towards his own.
“That’s the reason I’m here. I have reason to assume that your powers, Kagome,” he glanced down at the youth in his arms, “Have finally manifested themselves, therefore it’s high time I explain a few things.”
As the explanation went on Kagome unconsciously wrapped an arm around Inuyasha in mimicry of his own position. Her father noticed this and smiled. As he finished explaining about the three worlds, he then started to tell them of how he’d been on border patrol and it was then he met Kagome’s mother. Kagome briefly zoned out, wondering if within makai, Ginta, Hokaku, Jaken, Shippou, and any more of their group was still living. She was snapped out of her reverie by a small shake from her father and her name being called by Inuyasha.
“Kagome, are you alright?” with a nod from her head Inuyasha regarded her skeptically before asking his next question. “Do you even wanna know what kinda demon you are?”
“I’m sorry, I just had something on my mind.” she gave a weak smile and then, “I would love to know.” was her reply followed by one of her brightest smiles. Just then Kagome’s mother decided that they’d received enough knowledge for just then and decided that they should do something nice for dinner. They’d decided to go to a local restaurant when there was a knock at the door. No one had been expecting anybody and so they all stared before Kagome threw a hat over Inuyasha’s ears and pulled the front door open.
Before her stood a beautiful redheaded male, a scowling raven-haired male, and a very ugly carrot top of a boy who appeared to have gotten into way too many fights over the years. They appeared to be as shocked to see her as she was to see them. There was brief recognition, they went to school not far from each other. Remembering her lost manners she invited the strange boys in, but before she closed the door she thought she felt the presence of a demon; he wasn’t evil, but his aura was dark and just as quickly as she’d sensed it he was gone, though she looked anyway. Turning into the house she noticed them eying both her father and Inuyasha who were glaring back in kind.
“I’m sorry but, who are you?” Kagome asked right after realizing that the black haired boy seemed a lot more hostile towards her father than the rest.
Before anyone could respond, though the boy spoke, “I was hoping that the runt was lying, but you’re still alive after all. You bastard!” he shouted. Before anyone quite perceived what was going on, he’d punched the demon lord in the face.
“I suppose that I deserved that.” Her father calmly replied, wiping blood from his lip.
“Why here, why now?” he was truly angered.
“She had no idea, and all of a sudden she manifested demonic powers, I thought she had a right to know.”
What about me?” he interrupted. “Didn’t I deserve to hear what I was from my own father!”
The house went silent. Souta whispered, “Oh my gods, Urameshi’s my brother.” and promptly fainted but no other sound was heard for a while.
