InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The attack of the bishies ❯ The inu and the monk are upset ( Chapter 3 )
CHAPTER III
Inuyasha observed as Miroku came into the room. There was a somber aura about him, and he seemed pretty much crestfallen. He immediately removed the purple robe and crept into bed, not looking at anyone, and covered himself with the blanket all the way, even the head.
"Is there something wrong?" Shippou asked.
No answer.
"Damn it, stupid monk!" Inuyasha yelled and took the blanket from him. Miroku looked into his eyes and saw recognition. "You heard them, too, didn't you?"
Miroku nodded.
"What's going on?" Shippou asked.
"We have to find out who that Hatori is," Inuyasha said.
"Hatori? I heard about a Hotohori. . ." Miroku said.
"Hmm. . . well, they are two girls. . . it's only natural that they talk about two different men. . . Anyways, when I find them. . ."
"You'll rip their heads off?" Shippou asked.
Both looked at Shippou, then Inuyasha hit him on the head.
"Shut up, kid!"
"Though that's precisely what we could do," Miroku said, bringing a hand to his chin, "hmm, not a bad idea, Shippou."
Shippou looked at the monk confused. There was something weird about the girls lately, but there was something seriously wrong with the guys.
"I can't believe it! I always thought they would be true to us!" Miroku complained. "This is how bad women are, they don't wait!"
"Wait for what?" Shippou asked.
"For us!" Miroku yelled. "What else?"
"You know? I am young and all, but my mother once told me that girls don't wait forever."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Inuyasha asked, angry.
"If you like a girl, and you know the girl likes you back, you have to show her, and quickly. Coz otherwise she'll think you don't like her and will move on."
"Like you know about these things!"
"I do!"
"Besides, who said we like them?!"
"You said it yourselves!"
Miroku kept on thinking.
"Maybe he's right, you know?" he said. "Though I refuse to make any moves before I find out who that Hotohori is. . ."
"And that Hatori. . . he will suffer a painful death. . ."
"Hmm. . . maybe you should get Tetsusaiga polished and sharpened, Inuyasha, might be good."
"Nah, rusty is better, so it's harder to cut and the damn Hatori suffers more!"
"Now that you mention it. . . good point. . ."
Shippou started getting scared and crawled out of the room without being noticed. Maybe the girls would give him shelter, and he could find out what was up with them. Oh, and he could also tell them to warn those two guys about the perils that awaited them.
He entered their room quickly, to avoid being seen by either of the two guys if they noticed his absence.
"Shippou-chan?" Kagome asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Ehh, the guys are scary. . ."
"Scary?"
"Very scary. . . they are planning two murders. . ."
"Murders??" Sango asked. "It's not us, is it?"
"Nooo, they heard you talking about some guys, and now they want to kill them!"
Kagome and Sango started laughing.
"Hey! I'm being serious! You have to tell those guys!"
"Don't worry, Shippou-chan," Kagome said, "they'll be just fine, nothing to worry about."
"Yeah," Sango said, "those two can't get their claws on them."
"Are you sure? They're very scary. They were planning on ripping heads off, Miroku was saying something about. . ."
"Oh, God!" Kagome exclaimed. "We should definitely bet!"
"What?" Sango asked.
"The dancing goes, ok?"
"But. . ."
"What dancing?" Shippou asked.
"Sango-chan?" Kagome looked expectant.
"Alright."
"Yes!"
`They are weird. . .' Shippou thought to himself. But all his thoughts were wiped out when Kagome gathered him close to her and covered them both with a blanket.
"Good night, everyone," Kagome said.
"Good night!" Sango and Shippou answered, and Kirara purred, that was her way of saying good night.
But sleep was a luxury that the men couldn't afford themselves that night. They both sat upright looking towards the door, trying to figure out what to do. They had by now realized that Shippou was gone, but didn't mind so much, at least he wouldn't ask so many questions. They had heard Kagome scream joyfully just a few minutes ago, and that just made them feel even more annoyed.
"What are they up to?" Miroku asked after a while.
"That's the tenth time you ask," Inuyasha said, "I don't know."
"But. . . Kagome-sama seemed so joyful! Something must have happened!"
"Yeah, like they'll tell us."
"I have to find out who this Hotohori guy is. . ."
"I can't kill Naraku in peace until I know who this Hatori guy is. . ."
Both men nodded and kept on staring towards the door.
It was going to be a long night.
