Shinobi-chan: Thanks the projects are done thank god their relationship is probably gunna progress at a decent pace I hope cause I discovered while writing this chapter I no longer have full control the characters are taking over so they might wanna go faster or slower but I think it will be a decent pace. And Kagura will make herself known don't know how yet but she will.

Thank you everyone for your patience I really appreciate it I would've had this up yesterday but my fav author came out with her next book yesterday and I have a hard time putting her books down. Oh if anyone wants to try her out her name is Laurell K Hamilton and she is awesome the book that just came out is for her Anita Blake series but she also has another series called the Merry Gentry Series..

Anyways on with the story

Kagome sat in Sesshomaru's living room watching some television, waiting for Sesshomaru to come back with the popcorn. Sesshomaru had aced his exam in architecture and they decided to watch a movie at his house for some quality time together. For the past week they rarely got to be alone with each other without something happening or someone deciding to join them for the night. Tonight was their night.

Sesshomaru came in and gave her the popcorn and a quick kiss before starting the movie, Backdraft. It was a movie they hadn't watched in awhile and since it was Kagome's turn to chose a movie he had no choice. It wasn't that he didn't like the movie but, he and his brother had watched it earlier in the week. But she didn't know that and he wasn't going to tell her.

He sat down and pulled her into his lap; content with the way she fit perfectly there.

She leaned up and kissed his cheek, he was about to return the gesture to her lips when Inuyasha came in.

"Kagome you guys are gunna have to end this night early, I'll drive you home." Inuyasha said turning off the movie.

Sesshomaru growled, "We don't have to do anything."

"Dad's home and he wants to talk to you." Inuyasha said then he held out his hand for Kagome. "Come on I'll drive you home."

Kagome sighed and climbed out of Sesshomaru's embrace. "If you need anything just call my cell."

Sesshomaru nodded and watched her and Inuyasha leave then went to his fathers study and knocked on the door.

"Come in, he heard his father call through the door.

He entered, his father stood in the middle of the room waiting for him. His violet eyes softened a bit at the sight of his eldest son.

"Father, it's good to see you. How was your trip?" Sesshomaru asked as he walked farther into the room.

"It was dull, it's good to see you too, although I was shocked when I came home. How is Kagome?" Mr. Takeda asked.

"Kagome is fine, she says hello." Sesshomaru said.

"I see how long has this been going on?" His father asked.

"A little less than a week, and I'm glad it has happened." He boldly told his father.

"Last I remember you had no attraction to her."

"That's not true father I just thought she was a friend and was content with that." Sesshomaru explained.

"And why are you no longer content with it?"

"Because I never realized what I had in front of me." Sesshomaru said.

"Son, is this wise?" Mr. Takeda asked leaving the other question unsaid.

"Father it is Kagome nothing has changed I have always trusted her and I still do." Sesshomaru said starting to get angry. "Kagome is not like her and you know it."

"It is true I have held Kagome in high regard for a long time but Sesshomaru all women are alike, they all put themselves first." Mr. Takeda told him.

"Not Kagome she is different she always has been."

"How is she different? Because she is with you now, women are fickle you above all should know that."

"No father Kagura never cared about me and mother…I don't know why she left… but Kagome she makes me happy, I told her about Kagura, I trust her." Sesshomaru said, and he meant it he did trust her more then he trusted anyone.

"You're a fool," Mr. Takeda said.

"Maybe but I'm willing to take that chance, I'm willing to move on from the past cause that's what it is the past and I cant change it. I just wish you would help and support me."

Mr. Takeda sighed, "I just don't want you to get hurt again you're my son and I just want to protect you. But, its your life and your heart, I will try to support you."

Sesshomaru smiled, it was he first real smile his father had seen in a long time. For that reason only he felt better about his decision. "Thank you father."

"Your welcome, oh I thought I should tell you next month a singer of mine is coming to your school he is fairly new, his name is Ryan Cabrara."

"I've heard of him Kagome and Sango like him not really my style of music." Sesshomaru said.

"Good at least someone will like him."

"All the girls will, goodnight father." Sesshomaru said.

"Goodnight Sesshomaru, tell Kagome I said hello as well."

Sesshomaru smiled and nodded then left to go to Kagomes house. Inuyasha stopped him as he was going to the garage.

"She's at the park." Inuyasha informed him.

"Thank you," he said and went to his car.

He found her sitting under a tree staring at the night stars through the branches and leaves. He noticed she shivered slightly as he approached.

"Are you always cold?" He asked with amusement coloring his voice.

She spun around surprised. "Hi yeah well my teddy bear isn't here to keep me warm." She said smiling at him.

He sat down and wrapped his arms around her. "Oh well I guess I'll just have to stand in for him.

She snuggled closer to him breathing in his scent from his chest, he wore an expensive cologne all the time but underneath she could smell the forest that his natural scent gave off, it was wonderful. "What happened with your father?"

"We talked, he said he will support us and not argue about our relationship, he also says hello." He answered.

She was shocked, she had expected Sesshomaru to come here and tell her they couldn't be together, that his father was right and she would only wind up hurting him. She hugged him tighter a tear trickling down her face from the happiness she felt. He had stood his ground for her and made his father understand.

He knew what she was thinking he was shocked himself, but decided not to dwell on it. He looked down at the raven-haired beauty in his arms and knew he could never be happier. He leaned back and lifted her chin, claiming her lips with his own.

She returned the kiss moving her arms to around his neck and pulling him closer to deepen the kiss.
