Ch. 7 I Will NEVER Drink Again

 

“You were never good at matching were you” said Kagome.

 

“Nope” said Bankotsu.

 

In the living room there was 2 doors one on the far west wall that was a sliding glass door that Kagome wondered where it went, she figured to the beach. Then there was an open area on the south wall left of the hallway you walked through to get there. There was a bar area set up with stools very much like the Tashio's kitchen/bar. Back in the living room there was a staircase on the north wall next to the sliding glass door. The carpet was white on the staircase but when you got to the hallway it turned hardwood. In the middle of the circular hallway there was a large fountain with a rock and a large sword in it. Then along the hallway were a few bedrooms and a large balcony with a table and a hot tub.

 

After the tour they ended up back downstairs by the glass door.

 

“So Ban what's out there” asked Kagome.

 

“Well there's the beach and other stuff” said Bankotsu.

 

“Can I see it” asked Kagome.

 

“No not until everyone gets here” said Bankotsu.

 

“Fine” said Kagome crossing her arms like a little kid pouting.

 

“You ok” said Bankotsu kissing Kagome.

 

Inuyasha as he watched his jaw dropped to the floor. After they broke apart Kagome giggled.

 

“You still taste the same” said Kagome.

 

“You to baby you too” said Bankotsu.

 

Kagome looked over at Inuyasha and laughed “I warned you didn't I”.

 

“Sorry I guess I forgot to include that when I was going over all our bios” said Bankotsu with a smug look on his face.

 

“You look confused still” said Kagome.

 

“Yeah just a little bit” said Inuyasha.

 

“Come and take a seat and I'll explain” said Bankotsu sitting down and pulling Kagome down next to him.

 

Inuyasha had death flash through his eyes.

 

“Ok when we were in high school and we were both juniors we were like brother and sister. But one problem was I had a huge crush on her well I asked her out and we went out for a few months and things just got confusing. During the time we were dating everyone in school were calling us the best couple in the school and that caused so many breakups, most girls just wanted me but what can I say. Anyway after we broke up I couldn't help but kiss those lips one more time and she didn't seem to mind, that's how it all fell together” said Bankotsu.

 

“Yeah and also when we were dating people and didn't want to see them anymore we would just have to make out in the hallway until they got the picture, I still feel bad with Kouga, did you invite him” asked Kagome.

 

“Heck no! That kid almost took my head off for kissing you, and he wouldn't leave you alone, dose he still call you” asked Bankotsu.

 

“No thank god” said Kagome as she leaned into Bankotsu resting her head on his shoulder.

 

“That's not even the worst part yet, when we really wanted to get back at them and they were demon, we would make sure one of our parents weren't home and…” said Bankotsu before Kagome slapped her hand over his mouth.

 

“Better not share that info” said Kagome becoming red as a tomato.

 

“Good times” said Bankotsu.

 

“Sesshoumaru didn't have any problem with that” asked Inuyasha sounding very surprised.

 

“Uhhh… well he did actually” said Bankotsu.

 

“What did he do you never did tell me” said Kagome.

 

“One day after school was out he shoved me up against a locker and called me scum and said I wasn't good for you that I was defiling your pure soul and to get lost” said Bankotsu.

 

“I see it was good you didn't listen” said Kagome.

 

“Yeah but I stayed away from him after that” said Bankotsu.

 

“Then I would like you to know your touching his property” said Inuyasha. Bankotsu looked from Inuyasha to Kagome and his eyes widened “so you mean she's not yours”.

“Well here's the thing, they both want me so Im giving them both a chance and Im gonna decide this weekend” said Kagome.

 

“I see playing hard to get as always” said Bankotsu.

 

“Yep” said Kagome.

 

Just then the door bell rang.

 

“If that's Kirara we never kissed” said Bankotsu kissing Kagome.

 

“She still doesn't know” asked Kagome.

 

“No she dose she just prefers not to hear about it” said Bankotsu shrugging and opening the door.

 

Kagome wandered over to sit on Inuyasha's lap.

 

“Never mind that was just some booze getting here” said Bankotsu.

 

“You think Sesshoumaru would kill me if I got you drunk” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Most likely” said Kagome smiling.

 

“So what's going on at this party and who's gonna be here” asked Kagome.

 

“Well everyone from our old gang and a few others that I added in it's gonna be a big party, we will swim and have a few bonfires going, there will be drinks and I'll be bartender” said Bankotsu.

 

“Oh gods don't poison our drinks now” said Kagome.

 

“Don't worry only yours” said Bankotsu.

 

“I don't think Inuyasha would like that to much would he” said Kagome looking up at Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah I wouldn't be too happy if you know what I mean” said Inuyasha holing up his claws.

 

“Man your family just doesn't like me” said Bankotsu.

 

“No you just piss of the wrong people” said Inuyasha.

 

A few hours later the sun went down and the party started. Outside there were torches lit around and 4 large bonfires spread out. There was a bar in the middle of all 4 where Bankotsu was serving drinks. Kagome wandered up to the bar with Inuyasha close behind.

 

“What do you want Kagome” asked Bankotsu.

 

“My mother told me never to drink but something sweet would be nice” said Kagome.

 

“Hard, medium or pussy” said Bankotsu.

 

“Well you know how I hold liquor” said Kagome.

 

“So like any other girl” said Bankotsu.

 

“Medium, I don't want a hangover” said Kagome.

 

“I see and you Yash” asked Bankotsu.

 

“Anything hard but not to hard and sour” said Inuyasha.

 

“Coming right up” said Bankotsu as he poured some things in glasses.

 

He handed a green one to Inuyasha and a blue one to Kagome. “Enjoy” said Bankotsu.

 

“Thanks” said Kagome giving him a kiss and walking away.

 

Kagome pulled Inuyasha to the farthest fire pit were there were only a few people. She took a seat on Inuyasha's lap and sat there for a few minutes.

 

“Hey if I do get drunk are you going to take advantage of me” asked Kagome sweetly.

 

“No why would I do that” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Wow most guys would say yeah and not to” said Kagome.

 

“Well Im not most guys, feel free to get drunk, I'll be there in the morning holding your hair while you puke in the toilet” said Inuyasha getting a sly grin.

 

“You're not funny” said Kagome poking him in the side.

 

“What about you, can you hold liquor” asked Kagome.

 

“Yeah” said Inuyasha grimacing.

 

“What's wrong” asked Kagome.

 

“Im not totally ready to tell you all about my past yet” said Inuyasha.

 

“Why not” asked Kagome.

 

“It's not to pretty” said Inuyasha.

 

“Follow me” said Kagome.

 

Inuyasha followed as they walked the beach and got a good distance away from everyone else.

 

“Have I ever told you I love your ears” said Kagome reaching up and rubbing one.

 

“You like that don't you” said Kagome continuing to rub the ear.

 

After a bit she stopped and waited for Inuyasha to say something.

 

“You're the first person besides my mother that could rub my ears without tugging them” said Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah, are you gonna tell me about your past or am I just gonna have to keep guessing” asked Kagome.

 

“There were no rainbows or sunshine where I came from, it was the bad side of town. When I was younger everyone ridiculed me because I was half demon. Humans wouldn't accept me because of my demon blood and demons wouldn't accept me because of my human blood. I was in the middle” said Inuyasha sighing and falling backwards on his back pulling Kagome down to lay next to him.

 

“After I turned 13 I got into drugs and booze, anything to get away from my life. I would sneak off when my mother put me to bed in our 2 room apartment. When I returned around 3 a.m. I was so stoned or drunk that I couldn't remember days when I finally snapped out of it. When my mother died I refused to believe it, I thought I was high, I sat there until I was sure I was off my high and I cried. That was the first time I had ever cried. Needless to say after that it all changed I never got stoned like that again. I quit drugs and tried to support myself, but failed, so I ended up here” said Inuyasha.

 

He realized Kagome was crying.

 

“What's wrong are you ok” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Yes I just had no idea it was so hard for you” said Kagome looking up showing Inuyasha that her eyes were full of tears.

 

“Don't cry over me Im not worth your tears” said Inuyasha.

 

“Yes you are, someone needs to cry for you since you won't, for the hard times and the good times, it's not good to keep it inside it will eat you alive, that's how it was with my mother. When my father left we had no idea where he went. So we managed, it was hard my mother had to work long hours and we hardly ever saw her. A week before she died she was sent to the hospital after passing out at work. We found out that she was slowly dieing inside and not telling anyone about it. She had a virus since she was born that couldn't be passed to anyone and she had stopped taking her medicine for it. She died a few days later” said Kagome sobbing.

 

“Im sorry Kagome I had no idea” said Inuyasha hugging her.

 

“It's ok, Im just glad you told me some more about yourself” said Kagome smiling through all her tears.

 

“Let's get another” said Kagome standing up and pulling Inuyasha with her.

 

They ran back to the bar and stopped. “What's wrong Kagome” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Nothing just look at how the waves are rolling up on the shore, it's so pretty” said Kagome looking out into the lake.

 

“Oh, come on you still want that drink” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah who can pass up free liquor” said Kagome walking to the bar.

 

“Hello Kagome that was fast, hey Yash if she gets drunk use the last bedroom on the left upstairs, so what do you both want” asked Bankotsu.

 

“Something hard, on the rocks and bitter” said Inuyasha.

 

“And for you” asked Bankotsu turning to Kagome.

 

“Something on the rocks and tangy” said Kagome.

 

“You want that to be tangy fruity or tangy just tangy” asked Bankotsu making Inuyasha's drink.

 

“Fruity” said Kagome with a cute smile.

 

<<<7 drinks, 12 shots and 6 hours later>>>

 

“Uhhh…” said Kagome fell over onto something hard.

 

“Huh” asked Kagome trying to open her eyes.

 

She found it was like she had cinder blocks strapped to her eyelids so she kept them closed, that was until she had the urge to puke. Kagome opened her eyes and on auto found the toilet, which was right next to her, and puked in it. When she shook off the feeling she felt someone behind her laying her back on the something hard she fell on earlier and then she felt a cold cloth run over her forehead.

 

“Morning” said Inuyasha.

 

“Mhm, I feel like crap” said Kagome.

 

“Well can you remember last night at all” asked Inuyasha.

 

“I can remember up until I got challenged to a shot race” said Kagome groaning.

 

“Well you kicked butt but that was only 6 shots and you had 12, you had the dumbest idea to challenge Bankotsu to a shot contest and well he won. Then you had 4 more drinks and kinda fell unconscious. I brought you up here and since 4 a.m. you've been here puking every 20 minutes” said Inuyasha.

 

“Uhh… what time is it now” asked Kagome.

 

“Well your cell says its 8, oh and Sesshoumaru called” said Inuyasha.

 

“Uhh… how long ago” asked Kagome.

 

"About a half hour” said Inuyasha.

 

“Oh” said Kagome.

 

“Get some sleep” said Inuyasha pulling Kagome onto his lap so she could lean her head over his shoulder to get some sleep.

 

“How many drinks did you have” asked Kagome.

 

“I lost count after 25” said Inuyasha.

 

“Never let me have liquor again” said Kagome puking one more time before passing out on Inuyasha's shoulder.

 

2 hours later Kagome stirred awake.

 

“Hey you're up” said Inuyasha.

 

“I feel better but not that good” said Kagome standing up slowly.

 

“Ok were gonna stay a bit longer to make sure your ok then we can go” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok” said Kagome opening the door and walking downstairs where Bankotsu was playing music.

 

“Turn it down” said Kagome covering her ears.

 

“Sorry” said Bankotsu turning it off.

 

“How did you get everyone out of here” asked Inuyasha.

 

“You bailed early, it was something, I had to pull out my Banyru and chase people around for an hour before everyone got out of here” said Bankotsu laughing.

 

“Can you not do that” asked Kagome.

 

“Sorry” said Bankotsu.

 

“How are you going to ride the motorcycle back home if you're still sensitive to sound” asked Inuyasha.

 

“I'll deal” said Kagome.

 

Bankotsu automatically produced a pair of earplugs.

 

“Thanks” said Kagome putting them in her pocket.

 

“Here” said Bankotsu holing out a shot glass full of green liquid.

 

“No more booze thank you” said Kagome.

 

“It's not booze or anything like that, I use it when I have a hangover which is like never, but it dims down the side affects” said Bankotsu.

 

“Thanks” said Kagome draining the glass.

 

“One problem” said Bankotsu.

 

“What” asked Kagome?

 

“You'll probably pass out in 3…2…1…” said Bankotsu as Kagome passed out in Inuyasha's arms.

 

He set her on the couch and looked at Bankotsu.

 

“When dose she wake up” asked Inuyasha.

 

“About 5 minutes, right now an earthquake could happen and she wouldn't even know it happened she is in such a deep sleep” said Bankotsu.

 

“That's weird what did you put in that” asked Inuyasha.

 

“Nothing that will kill her I'll tell you that much” said Bankotsu.

 

Inuyasha just glared at him until Kagome woke up.

 

“We can go now” said Inuyasha.

 

“Hey what was in that I feel so much better” said Kagome.

 

“Special stuff I can't tell you about, but here I'll give you 2 more packets, all you have to do is mix them with water in a shot glass and take them, you can even take them before you go party, if you do you won't get drunk at all” said Bankotsu.

 

“Why don't you sell these you could get rich” said Kagome.

 

“Im already well off enough, and it would just give people a reason to drink and as you know my 6 brothers after they found out about this drank themselves to death” said Bankotsu.

 

“Oh yeah I forgot about that” said Kagome giving Bankotsu a hug.

 

“Were gonna go” said Kagome.

 

“Ok” said Bankotsu giving Kagome a kiss.

 

Kagome waved goodbye and they got on the bike. Once Kagome was over the bridge Inuyasha stopped.

 

“Why are you stopping” asked Kagome.

 

Inuyasha captured her lips in almost an instant she couldn't react. After they broke apart Kagome just looked at Inuyasha.

 

“I had to make sure you still loved me” said Inuyasha.

 

“I could not love you” said Kagome.

 

“Yeah well you know watching you and Ban make out makes me kinda… jealous… if you know what I mean” said Inuyasha.

 

“I know, sorry, now you know why Sesshoumaru never liked him” said Kagome giggling.

 

“Let's go, oh god Sesshoumaru's gonna kill me for getting you drunk” said Inuyasha.

 

“Don't worry, give me 20 minutes with him and I'll change his mind” said Kagome.

 

“Ok Im counting on you to spare me” said Inuyasha.

 

“I'll do my best” said Kagome.

 

Inuyasha kicked the bike into motion and sooner then Kagome knew it they were in the driveway parking the bike.

 

“I'll be back” said Kagome walking the house to find Sesshoumaru.

 

Just as Kagome was about to grab the door handle it opened for her revealing a very pissed off dog demon who looked like he went a week without sleeping and his only motive to stay awake was caffeine.

 

“Uhh… I love you” said Kagome putting on a sweet face.

 

“We need to talk NOW” said Sesshoumaru picking Kagome up and taking her to his room.

 

He set her down on the bed so she was lying on the pillow. She saw Sesshoumaru take a deep breath trying not to explode all at once.

 

“Kagome” said Sesshoumaru looking at her.

 

“Sorry” said Kagome smirking.

 

He exhaled “you know I care for you and you were on a date but still you should not be getting drunk, you are still underage, I say you shouldn't go out on another with him and stay with me” said Sesshoumaru.

 

Kagome looked like she was about to kill him.

 

“Ok let's get one thing strait” said Kagome exhaling deeply “I am in control of my own life and I will make my own decisions, I AM going out on another date with Inuyasha and I WILL decide on my own thanks”.

 

If looks could kill an entire stand of football players would be dead right now.

 

“I just want you to know I care” said Sesshoumaru.

 

“Well care by letting me make the choice on my own” said Kagome standing up.

 

Sesshoumaru just stared at her back as she walked from his room. `That didn't go the way I thought it would' thought Kagome. Sesshoumaru just shook his head and went to his study. Kagome walked to her room and sat on her bed taking her cell phone off the charger holding back tears and dialed Miroku's cell number.

 

“Hello” came Miroku's voice.

 

“Miroku I need to talk to you, cam you spare a few minutes” asked Kagome practically begging.

 

“Yeah Sango's in the shower then she has to go shop, for some awkward reason she told me not to come, are you ok you sound stressed” said Miroku.

 

Kagome sniffled “Im ok I just need to talk to you, you were always good at solving people's problems”.

 

“What's wrong Kagome” asked Miroku.

 

“Everything is to stressful, I feel both of them pressing on me to decide soon and I like them both equally so far, I still have one date with Yash but that's tonight, and me and Sesshoumaru just got in a fight and I just can't handle it, this is going to tear me apart” said Kagome.

 

“What did you and Sesshoumaru fight about” asked Miroku.

 

“Well when I was at a party last night, with Inuyasha, I kinda got drunk and he didn't like that to much, he told me to stop dating Inuyasha and I kind of blew up on him” said Kagome.

 

“Well it looks like he was just trying to look out for you, then again it wasn't right for him to tell you to stop dating Yash” said Miroku.

 

“I know but I just can't handle it right now its like Im stuck between a rock and a hard place” said Kagome.

 

“Have you heard that females in the demon world are allowed to share mates, you could go that route” said Miroku.

 

“No because Im sure they would tear each other apart and it would just be to much stress on me because I would feel like I was leaving someone out” said Kagome sighing and flipping over on the bed.

 

“You sound really depressed I wish I could help” said Miroku.

 

“Aww… when your not being pervy your kinda sweet, but your helping by just talking to me” said Kagome.

 

“Who said I wasn't being pervy” said Miroku.

 

“Hey take the pervyness out on Sango will ya” said Kagome.

 

“I did I just jumped out of the shower right before you called” said Miroku.

 

“Thanks for the unneeded info, Im gonna have to talk to Sango about that, have you proposed yet” asked Kagome.

 

“I already have the ring but I don't know when to do it” said Miroku.

 

“How about you take her out to dinner tonight or make a nice dinner for her and ask her” said Kagome.

 

“I will do it sometime today I just don't know when” said Miroku.

 

“I see, you remember Bankotsu” said Kagome.

 

“Ban the one who everyone thought you were dating, yeah why” asked Miroku.

 

“He still kisses well” said Kagome.

 

“Don't tell me you were at his party last night” asked Miroku.

 

“Yeah kinda” said Kagome.

 

“And your still pure” asked Miroku. Kagome started cracking up.

 

“What's the matter” asked Miroku.

 

“That's right I forgot you moved you might wanna ask Sango for the deals but I haven't really been pure for awhile now, right after you left… you know how Kouga kept following me around” asked Kagome.

 

“Yeah why… you didn't now with Kouga” asked Miroku.

 

“Ewww… NO! Me and Ban had a full proof plan to get rid of him so we kinda had a party and yeah” said Kagome.

 

“You did it with Ban” asked Miroku shocked.

 

“Yeah” said Kagome.

 

“My Kagome I never knew you thought that way” said Miroku.

 

“It wasn't just once” said Kagome.

 

“Oh. My. God. What have you done with my Kagome, the old one you imposter” said Miroku.

 

“Yeah Sesshy didn't like it to much” said Kagome.

 

“I bet not, is Bankotsu still alive or at least a guy still” asked Miroku.

 

“Yeah I had to stop him before he could do either” said Kagome.

 

“Poor Bankotsu” said Miroku.

 

“Yeah when I come up there Im thinking about bringing Bankotsu with me is that ok” asked Kagome.

 

“Why would you do that” asked Miroku.

 

“Because he is good with stress” said Kagome.

 

“Fine but your getting a hotel room your not doing… the dirty… on my couch” said Miroku.

 

“That's fine, through I don't think Sesshoumaru will pay for it knowing Bankotsu is coming so keep it a secret ok” said Kagome.

 

“Can do” said Miroku.

 

“Oh Sango just got out of the shower in a towel, got to go” said Miroku.

 

“You perv, see you in 2 days” said Kagome hanging up the phone.

 

Kagome laughed and fell from her sitting position on the bed to lying on her back. Just then Inuyasha came in.

 

“Hey” said Kagome already knowing who it was without looking at him.

 

“Hey you wanna go on a date tonight” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok sure” said Kagome.

 

“We will be going to the club so dress appropriate” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok Im gonna be gone for a bit what time should I be back by” asked Kagome.

 

“Around 7” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok I'll make sure Im back by then” said Kagome getting up and changing into jeans and a green tube top.

 

“Where are you going that you have to get dressed up for” asked Inuyasha.

 

“This isn't dressed up and Im going somewhere to think I've been under a lot of stress lately” said Kagome walking into the bathroom and putting on black eyeliner and green eye shadow with lip gloss.

 

“See you at 7 then” said Inuyasha giving Kagome a kiss on the cheek.

 

“Bye” said Kagome running out to the garage and getting in her green convertible.
