Ch. 6 Surprises and Visits

 

`Now she found it' thought Sesshoumaru from the study. Kagome instantly grabbed her cell and called Sango. “Hello Kagome” answered a very sleepy sounding Sango.

 

“Oh my god I need you to put me on speaker wake up Miroku” said Kagome. “Hold on” said Sango. “Hey Miroku wake up Kagome needs to speak to us” said Sango somewhere in the background. Then Kagome heard a beep and she knew she was on speaker.

 

“Hey you guys guess what” said Kagome practically climbing a wall. “It better be good for getting us up this early” said Sango.

 

“It is, Miroku can you judge how much jewelry is worth you use to be able to when you were over here” asked Kagome.

 

“Yeah why did Sesshoumaru propose” joked Miroku. “No but he got me a ring that is white gold with a diamond in the middle that is as big as a penny with 4 smaller blue diamonds down the sides with the words HB carved on the inside with 14k next to it, how much is it worth” asked Kagome.

 

“Holly hell are you sure it says HB and 14k inside” asked Miroku. “Yeah why” asked Kagome.

 

“That ring on your finger is worth around 16 thousand” said Miroku. “Are you serious” asked Kagome. “If how you described it is right then that's how much it's worth” said Miroku.

 

“Wow I love my Sesshy” said Kagome. “Is that it” asked Sango sounding excited to hear any other news she might have.

 

“Well Im going on a date with Inuyasha tonight and I just wanted to check in and see what you guys were up to” said Kagome. “Wait you mean Tashio Inuyasha” asked Miroku.

 

“Yeah you know him” asked Kagome. “Small world he use to live here around me before he moved for a bit back to America and I guess there” said Miroku. “That's cool do you know the number to the manner” asked Kagome.

 

“Yeah it's on Sango's phone so how has it been with you” asked Kagome she could hear Sango's snores in the background then she heard the beep again that said she wasn't on speaker anymore.

 

“It's been fine” said Miroku going over, grabbing his monk like robe and walking out of the bedroom.

 

His house was also a large house but not large enough to be called a manner. When you walked in there was the living room with plush couches, wood floor, white walls, and a large screen TV. Then there was a door on the left wall toward the top wall that was the kitchen that had a stove and other cooking items with a large table the floor again was wood and the walls were tan. Then there was a door right next to it that was a bathroom it was blue with white tile. It had a porcelain toilet and a shower with a sink. Then there was a staircase going upstairs with white carpet that leads to 2 rooms. The first door was Miroku's bedroom it was dark purple carpet and dark blue walls.

 

When you walked in there was a large bed right in plain sight with 2 night stands on either side. Then there was a dresser over on the right side with 2 windows on either side with dark blue tiebacks. Then on the opposite side of the room there was a bathroom that was more like a mini spa. It had a large bathtub in the back with a toilet and a sink but there was also a traditional Japanese bath option where the person if they wanted to take a shower instead of a bath would sit in a little chair and pour a bucket of water over there head the room was blue with blue tile. The next room over was just used for storage it was tan with white plush carpet. Miroku walked downstairs and sat on the couch with his robe on.

 

“So how's it been with Sango” asked Kagome. “Uhh… fine” said Miroku. “Two questions you must answer truthfully. One are you still a perv like you were in high school and two have you and Sango hit it off yet” asked Kagome.

 

“Yes to both, Sango likes my pervness” said Miroku sounding slightly offended. “Wow poor Sango I feel bad for her stuck in a house with you for a month” said Kagome jokingly.

 

“Hey that's mean” said Miroku laughing. “You need to move back down here with us we miss you a lot, ok I don't know about them but I miss you” said Kagome practically giving him puppy dog eyes through the phone.

 

“Promise not to tell Sango” asked Miroku. “Promise on my love for Sesshoumaru” said Kagome.

 

“Ok, when we get married, which will be soon, if she'll have me, we are going to move down there I've already started to pack, even if she says no Im still moving down there, plus I picked out a spot to build the house and it's being built as we speak I gave them the plans for this house so it will be an exact double even down to the carpet, the paint on the walls and the furniture set up” said Miroku.

 

“Im excited I get to see your house, hey I have a question could I come down there for a visit after I get this whole Sesshoumaru/Inuyasha thing sorted out” asked Kagome.

 

“Yeah but you would either have to sleep on the pullout couch or in a hotel around I would be happy to put you up in either one for as long as you want” said Miroku.

 

“You Miroku are the kind of guy a girl wants to marry, Sango just got lucky” said Kagome giggling. “No I was lucky my sweet flower came back to me” said Miroku.

 

“Either way at least both of you are happy, aw now Im gonna cry” said Kagome making fake crying sounds. “Don't worry I'll take good care of her” said Miroku flashing a lecherous grin that Kagome could almost feel through the phone.

 

“That's not what Im worried about” said Kagome. “Did you hear about my mother” asked Kagome becoming very serious.

 

“Yes Sango told me, Im truly sorry for your loss and when I come down there I shall bless her grave” said Miroku. “Thanks Miroku you're the best” said Kagome.

 

“Don't go overboard, I think `Miroku your awesome' is better” said Miroku. “Miroku your awesome did you know that” asked Kagome. “Yes, yes I did” said Miroku.

 

“You don't have to agree so fast” said Kagome. “Why not when you know it you know it” said Miroku.

 

“How about this today is Thursday could I come out this weekend for the weekend and it can be our little surprise for Sango” said Kagome. “Sure and would you be staying here or a hotel” asked Miroku.

 

“Umm… it's up to Sango when I get there, but if it is a hotel Im sure that Sesshoumaru would be more then happy to cover the costs” said Kagome.

 

“Ok then, but I have to go I've run up the minutes on Sango's phone and she's gonna kill me, but see you this weekend, oh and bring light clothing it's very hot over here, if you want call me on my old cell number, if you still have it” said Miroku.

 

“Ok and don't worry Sango won't kill you as long as you display some of the pervness that she loves so much, you know when you left she was the one that suffered the most, she was never the same and whenever someone would utter your name Sango would snap at them, she got into countless fights because kids were saying that she came on to hard and scared you away, just wanted to let you know” said Kagome.

 

“I know I feel so bad for having to leave, when I saw Sango I felt so bad I gave her a kiss and I hope she forgives me, I know she probably won't be able to fully forget but I'll help her manage” said Miroku.

 

“Aw you sound like she's mental but you care you really do and Im happy for you guys, oh by the way when you propose she always wanted, here you may need a piece of paper” said Kagome.

 

Miroku found a piece of paper and told Kagome he was ready.

 

“Ok she wants a gold ring with a large Hearts on Fire® diamond in the center with regular diamonds down the sides and for the wedding ring the one she actually gets at the wedding she wants it to have 2 diamonds on it a bit smaller then the other ones and when they go together the diamonds are all touching an form a triangle of circles, that's the exact same ring I want just instead of regular gold I want white gold” said Kagome.

 

“Ok thanks that's a lot of help” said Miroku. “Ok well I have to let you go after my outburst earlier both boys are probably waiting for me to walk down the stairs any moment” said Kagome.

 

“How is it to know you have 2 boys that want you hand in marriage” asked Miroku. “Stressful” said Kagome. “Ok well see you this weekend” said Miroku laughing. “Ok bye” said Kagome hanging up the phone.

 

After hanging up Kagome looked at the ring on her finger `16 thousand huh' thought Kagome as she walked down the stairs. `I love my Sesshy' thought Kagome practically skipping down the stairs.

 

“Why are you so happy this morning” asked Inuyasha. "A rock worth 16 thousand dollars” said Kagome she showed him the ring. “Nice” said Inuyasha with enthusiasm `so she likes shiny expensive stuff huh' he thought.

 

Kagome knew right where to find Sesshoumaru and crept into the study. Sure enough Sesshoumaru was sitting there working on something. Kagome wanted to explode right there she had so many emotions raging through her towards this one boy who managed to steal a part of her heart.

 

“I love you” said Kagome as she jumped towards Sesshoumaru landing surprisingly on his lap in a hug.

 

“Thank you so much” said Kagome. “No thank you” said Sesshoumaru. “For” asked Kagome. “Letting me love you and accepting my love” said Sesshoumaru. “You should know I would always accept it no matter what” said Kagome crying tears of joy.

 

Kagome found that she couldn't stop crying no matter how hard she tried the tears kept coming and nothing anyone said could stop them. For once in her life she was truly in love and there was nothing to do that could break her from that thought. So Kagome kept on crying until all her tears were gone.

 

“Nothing in the world could ever prove how much I love you” said Kagome. “And nothing in the world could ever prove how much I love you” said Sesshoumaru smiling.

 

Sesshoumaru, the great lord Sesshoumaru was actually smiling! This was something new for Kagome but she liked his smile. It was small and barely there but it showed that there was something under that barrier that he puts up. For Kagome it was a hint of hope that maybe she could finally see Sesshoumaru the real him.

 

Sure she saw the real him when they were alone. She could also sense it in his voice, the way he talked to her. Kagome liked the real Sesshoumaru and wished that he would show it more often but she was content with the way he was. After all Sesshoumaru was Sesshoumaru and he was a mystery waiting to be figured out. Kagome just stared as the smile faded and it only faded as he planted an open mouth his on her. Kagome kissed back as she told him how much she loved him, something she could not do with words. After they broke apart Kagome got off of Sesshoumaru and walked out in a way that it almost seemed like a promise, no Sesshoumaru was sure it was a promise for what was yet to come.

 

Kagome found Inuyasha and sat down next to him. “Ok where Im taking you tonight is a party, a beach party so you need to wear your swimsuit, the party starts at 7 so we have to leave at 6:30 so we can get there in time” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok” said Kagome with a smile. “You're really enjoying this, the attention I mean” stated Inuyasha. “Yeah I thought the boys in high school paid attention to me but now, I like this” said Kagome. “Feh” said Inuyasha laughing a bit as he got up and went to his room.

 

“A beach party, Sango's been to one with Miroku actually they said that they had a lot of fun, speaking of Sango and Miroku I have to tell them Im leaving this weekend” said Kagome. “HEY I NEED TO TALK TO BOTH OF YOU, HOUSE MEETING” screamed Kagome. Sure enough both boys emerged and sat on the couch.

 

“Hey it worked” said Kagome proud of herself. “What's up” asked Inuyasha. “Ok this weekend Im going to visit Miroku and Sango I will be leaving early on Saturday so I can get there around mid breakfast, I will be staying the entire weekend. After Inuyasha's two dates I will use that weekend to decided who I will be with, I'll tell you the news when I get back, oh and Miroku says hi” said Kagome.

 

“Miroku as in pervy Miroku” asked Inuyasha. “Yeah he says hi and you both know each other from Kyoto” said Kagome. “How could I forget about that perv, wait so you were that girl's friend he was talking about, now it makes sense. He was always talking about a Sango and a Kagome” said Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah that's us” said Kagome. “That's weird” said Inuyasha. “You're telling me” said Kagome. “Ok its 8 am now what do you want to do” asked Inuyasha. “I will be in the study” said Sesshoumaru walking to the study.

 

“I wanna go to the dojo” said Kagome. “Ok let's go” said Inuyasha letting Kagome lead the way. When they got down Kagome grabbed her bow, let it glow, and then fired her arrow as hard as she could at the target. It hit the exact center of the target.

 

“Uhhh… I don't think that's gonna come out anytime soon” said Kagome examining it. “Don't get in front of Kagome when she has a bow in her hand” said Inuyasha kicking a punching bag. “Why not” said Kagome slyly walking over to the other side of the punching bag and stopping it in mid swing and leaning on it. “Because you would kill someone with one of those” said Inuyasha whose blood was gathering in one spot on his body.

 

“Will you fight with me” asked Kagome. “Yeah sure” said Inuyasha glad that she moved and his blood was circulating again. “Im not gonna hold back” said Kagome.

 

“Does that mean if I make a wrong move your gonna purify me” asked Inuyasha a bit worried. “No I won't purify you” said Kagome laughing.

 

Kagome looked over Inuyasha analyzing his weak points and made her first move. He was faster then she thought and caught her kick that was meant to throw him off balance. Kagome spun in mid air and tried kicking him with the other foot but he caught that one too.

 

“You're good and too fast” said Kagome. “What can I say I had to live on my own for so long this comes naturally” said Inuyasha smirking `she had no idea what she just got herself into'. Kagome just smiled bent her knees and pushed then did a back flip when Inuyasha let go of her feet.

 

Kagome ran and did a handstand flip so she hit Inuyasha's chest sending him on his back on the ground with Kagome sitting on his chest.

 

“I win” said Kagome. “Wow your good I didn't expect that” said Inuyasha whose blood was again gathering in that one spot. Inuyasha pulled Kagome to his chest and rolled over so she was pinned to the floor.

 

“Hey no fair” said Kagome. “Fair did we ever say we were done” said Inuyasha. “Guess not” said Kagome smiling up at Inuyasha. “Wrap your legs around my waist” said Inuyasha pretty sure the blood was hardened by now.

 

Kagome did and Inuyasha stood up and pushed Kagome up against a wall capturing her lips before she could say anything. Kagome complied as Inuyasha licked her lips and Kagome gave him entrance. Inuyasha soon memorized every part of Kagome's mouth. After they broke apart Kagome quickly gave Inuyasha a huge hug to hide her blush.

 

“Hey Kagome do you know a kid named Bankotsu” asked Inuyasha. “Yeah he was part of our group in high school, why” asked Kagome.

 

“He's the one throwing the party see when I moved here I heard a lot about a Bankotsu person so I went hunting around to find out who he was, when I found him we talked for a bit and he told me he knew Kagome, Sesshoumaru, Sango, Miroku, Rin, Kirara, and Hiten, and if I was going to your house that I needed to know all you guy's background so he spent hours explaining it to me. Needless to say when he was done I was in love with you when I got up today I found an invite attached to the fence and it was for his beach party tonight, did you know he runs a beach and actually lives on it” asked Inuyasha.

 

“No I didn't and I figure since he invited us it must be an excuse to get the old group together” said Kagome.

 

“Only Sango and Miroku won't be there” said Inuyasha. “Yeah” said Kagome.

 

Inuyasha set her down only to steal another kiss from her, this time it was only a quick kiss on the lips but it was still enough to tell Kagome that he liked her a lot. Kagome walked from the dojo with Inuyasha hot on her tail. She walked upstairs and into the kitchen. Inuyasha sat down and Kagome put on the apron.

 

“What would you like sir” asked Kagome in a business like fashion. “Ramen” said Inuyasha. “For breakfast” asked Kagome. “Yeah, I would eat it for every meal of the day if I could” said Inuyasha. “Interesting” said Kagome. “What do you find it weird that it's my favorite food” asked Inuyasha.

 

“No that's not it” said Kagome heating up the water for his breakfast “it's just normal people don't eat ramen for breakfast”. “Well if you couldn't tell by now Im not exactly normal” said Inuyasha.

 

“Got a point” said Kagome laughing. “Hey” said Inuyasha. “What, I don't mean nothing bad by it, normal people are overrated” said Kagome. “You just called yourself overrated” said Inuyasha as Kagome gave him the bowl.

 

“So, it's the truth and Im not normal Im miko” said Kagome smiling. She grabbed an apple and started to eat it. “That's all you're eating” asked Inuyasha. “Yeah I don't eat much” said Kagome. “Figures” said Inuyasha. “What do you mean” asked Kagome.

 

“Women are always so worried about there weight they don't realize though that if they ate then did something physical then they wouldn't gain anything” said Inuyasha. Kagome just stared at Inuyasha mouth a gape. “What” asked Inuyasha?

 

“You know that's one of the first educational things I've heard out of you yet” said Kagome. “Hey honey that stings” said Inuyasha holding his side like someone punched him.

 

“Aww… is my puppy hurt by my words” asked Kagome. “Maybe…” said Inuyasha. “This will be hard to decide” said Kagome to herself. “Why” asked Inuyasha. “Because, you're the wild party animal and Sesshy is the formal have fun in his own way kind of person and I like both of those traits” said Kagome.

 

“Wow Im glad that Im not in that position” said Inuyasha. “Thanks for the support” said Kagome. “No problem” said Inuyasha pulling Kagome down on his lap. “So when are we leaving Im so excited to see all my old friends again”. “Well I guess we could go early” said Inuyasha.

 

“Really” said Kagome. “Yeah we could go the long way. Since from here to there is about 30 minutes we could go on a ride” said Inuyasha. “Ok what should I wear” asked Kagome.

 

“Something you'd wear to a beach party. One question though how did you get use to this hot weather, it never snows over here back in America it would be all white right now” said Inuyasha.

 

“Well it dose snow just the first few weeks of winter and that's it but this I think is the hottest it's ever been, global warming I guess” said Kagome walking to her room and disappearing into it.

 

Inuyasha went and changed into swim trunks that looked like shorts; they were tan and had 6 pockets, 2 on the butt and 4 in the front, on the hips and thighs. He walked downstairs throwing on a white wife beater and flopping down on the couch. A few minutes later Kagome came downstairs wearing a strapless lime green bikini top and a pair of high rise jean shorts. On top her head was a pair of black sunglasses and on eyelids there was a faint green eyeliner and shadow. Inuyasha whistled and Kagome blushed.

 

“You look hot” said Inuyasha walking up to her and kissing the back of her hand. Kagome just blushed more and thanked him.

 

“Come on let's go” said Inuyasha dragging Kagome out to the front of the house. “Where are we going” asked Kagome. “You'll see” said Inuyasha pulling Kagome through a tree that exposed a hidden parking spot.

 

What Kagome saw was amazing, it was a blood red Suzuki GSF600S Bandit with 2 red, silver, and black Nolan N102 N-COM Graphic Helmets. “Wow” said Kagome. “Have you ever rode one of these before” asked Inuyasha.

 

“No not really” said Kagome. “All you have to do is get on and hold on and I'll do the rest” said Inuyasha. “Ok but 2 questions. One I've never seen this before when did you get it and two how do I not fall off” asked Kagome. “I just got it a few days ago more like one and just hold on tight and you won't fall off” said Inuyasha.

 

“Ok” said Kagome kinda nervous. “You need to trust me” said Inuyasha walking up to Kagome and kissing her. “I'll have to trust you then” said Kagome sighing.

 

“So you don't trust me” asked Inuyasha. “No that's not it…” said Kagome as Inuyasha planted an open mouth kiss on her. “Let's go” said Inuyasha. Inuyasha got on the bike and Kagome followed suit.

 

“How do I hold on” asked Kagome. “You've really never rode one of these things before have you” asked Inuyasha. “Nope” said Kagome. “Put them around my waist and hang on” said Inuyasha as he started it up.

 

Kagome hung on and Inuyasha pulled through the bushes onto the long road leading from the manner to the road. After a few minutes they arrived at the end of there driveway.

 

“That's one long driveway” said Inuyasha. “Yeah it looks shorter in a limo or car” said Kagome. “So where to” asked Inuyasha. “It's like a date before a date, how about we get an ice cream” said Kagome.

 

“Ok which one do you want to go to” asked Inuyasha. “How about this, we stop at places leading us to Ban's party” said Kagome. “Ok then ice cream it is” said Inuyasha kicking the bike into gear again. They arrived at and ice cream store about half way to Bankotsu's house.

 

“Man I feel like a school girl” said Kagome getting off the bike. “Why” asked Inuyasha. “Because on the way home from school on occasions if we had a really hard test or we were just stressed our group would go and get ice cream from the local vender and then walk through the park” said Kagome.

 

“Interesting” said Inuyasha. “Hey is Ban married or dating” asked Kagome. “Here's what he told me, Kagome was free but living with the also free Sesshoumaru who she had been friends with since middle school, Sango and Miroku were single, Rin and Hiten were married and that he was dating a girl named Kirara” said Inuyasha.

 

“Awww… Ban and Kirara are still together” said Kagome. “Yeah what kind of ice cream do you want” asked Inuyasha. “Chocolate” said Kagome as Inuyasha wandered off to buy it. In a few minutes he reemerged with tow chocolate ice creams in his hand.

 

“Thanks” said Kagome ask she licked the cold cream. “Oh for the party Im advising you don't drink anything out of the kegs, I don't know how safe they are” said Inuyasha. “Ok only drink stuff a bartender hands me, you hand me, or I get from a bottle” said Kagome.

 

“Good plan, we have about 2 hours left do you wanna do some site seeing and then when there is an hour left go or what” asked Inuyasha. “I like that plan let's go” said Kagome.

 

“Umm… ice cream and expensive bikes don't mix id finish that now or it's gonna end up on one of us or the car behind us” said Inuyasha. “Good point” said Kagome.

 

They finished there ice creams and then got back on the bike for some sight seeing. They drove through parks and pretty soon it was time to get to the party. “Ready to go” asked Inuyasha. “Yeah but Im just warning you that when we get there me and Ban are going to do something that will shock you, don't worry I don't like him like that, were just more brother and sister” said Kagome.

 

“That makes me nervous what are you planning” asked Inuyasha. “You'll see” said Kagome. “How come that doesn't make me feel any more relived” said Inuyasha. “I don't know” said Kagome smirking.

 

“Guess Im just gonna have to wait and see” said Inuyasha. “Put it this way in high school everyone thought we were dating” said Kagome with an evil smile. “Don't do that it makes me worry” said Inuyasha.

 

“Really now” said Kagome. “I guess I'll find out let's go” said Inuyasha throwing the bike into gear. He sped off towards Bankotsu's house. When they got to a large driveway Inuyasha stopped.

 

“Did I mention it's a private beach ok it's an island so what” said Inuyasha shrugging. “How do you expect us to get over to an island” asked Kagome. “There's a bridge” said Inuyasha.

 

Oh boy was he right there was a bridge made what looked like sand all the way over and just big enough to put a car on. It was suspended about 10 feet in the air over the water and was tightly secure. When they got up onto the bridge Kagome looked out at the island and saw a large house out in the middle of the oasis.

 

“Looks kind of abandon and lonely” said Kagome. “Wait till you see the other side” said Inuyasha taking off.

 

When they got to the other side of the bridge Inuyasha found a spot to park his bike. Kagome walked up to the door and knocked on it. The house was 2 stories and large almost large enough to be called a manner. Bankotsu came to the door he was wearing jean shorts that came down to his knees and a black muscle shirt on.

 

“Hey Kagome, looking hot as always, come on in” said Bankotsu. “Sure, you have to give me the tour” said Kagome smiling. “Sure” said Bankotsu.

 

When Kagome walked in she found herself in a white room with wood floor. When you walked forward a few more steps there was a bathroom to the left. Inside there was a wood floor and white walls with a simple white toilet and a sink with a mirror. Back outside the floor changed to white plush carpet and you walked into the living room with a big screen TV, white and purple plush couches, and wooden end tables.
