Firecrackers boomed outside…

"It was supposed to be happy," Sango though bitterly to herself, she cuddled into her sister Maeghan…freezing. They had become stow-aways in the small cold wagon.

"Sango? We are armed, right?" Another voice came from the darkness. It was Rinnta; everyone called her Rin, though.

"Yes Rin." Another voice, Kagome said.

"Father will meet us at the trench, remember? He said that as soon as we got to the Shikon Passage, we will get off." Maeghan whispered.

The girls huddled in silence, Kagome clutched a box and arrow, Rin, daggers, Sango, Hiraikotsu, the boomerang made out of a demon's bone…and Maeghan had her magic…she also had some nun-chucks to defend herself.

Maeghan cast out her magic. It was a red-gold color that shimmered slightly, then disappeared.

"The wagon will stop soon, and we will get off." Maeghan whispered.

The wagon did stop, but they heard some thumps in the back…there were voices.

"This should take us to Shikon Pass." A low voice murmured. All of the girls had their hands on their weapons, ready to strike.

"Yes, the warlord will find us useful…we have some information about Naraku that they might need." Another voice said.

"We should go into this wagon." A voice that had a British accent said.

The flaps at the back opened and the girls stood, weapons posed and ready to strike.

"Spies!" The girls thought as they struck…hitting the boys, until the wagon stopped.

"Sisters, we must rejoin our beloved…" Sango was cryptic so that the boys wouldn't know what they were saying. With that they leapt off, and ran to the fort.

They did not see the boys follow them.

All Maeghan wanted was to see her father. Know that they would be safe, know that no one else would have to suffer. This is what she saw.

The sisters were the first ones to see the warmth of the fort. It was not only wedged between two mountains, but it was magically hidden from all enemies. A barrier of magic, old and new surrounded the large fort.

The sisters had not been home since they were sent to the boarding school a few years back. They had missed their home, but the school was cozy, teaching them all about war and sharpening their talents. It was both to get them away and to prepare them for the upcoming war. This was her true home, and they were overjoyed to see their mother, Kikyo come out and welcome them home.

Kikyo had tears streaming down her face as she hugged each of her daughters in turn.

The Pass had not been hit, and everyone was still fine. The best thing was the hot spring that rose from the mountain's core. The sisters were awaiting their bath and went down to a free one.

They did not notice a certain lecherous monk, and his companions following them.

"I don't think this is proper!" Remus whispered to his brother Miroku.

The other brothers shrugged.

"We think they might be a threat…"Miroku said lecherously, grinning.

The other two nodded.

"That's such a lie…wait, you just want to see them naked, don't you."

"Not naked…"Sesshomaru corrected, "we are merely watching them, for they may pose a threat.

"Anyway…they aren't naked, they just don't have clothes on!" Inu Yasha added.

"I know you have your eyes on the one…the exotic one, we'll let you have dibs on her…" Miroku grinned.

"I'm only going to be a witness, not to be involved."

"Whatever." Inu Yasha rolled his eyes, before silence fell.

The girls started to take off their clothes when Maeghan signaled for them to stop.

"So…remember how Pa pa said that he'd kill anyone who would watch us like a peeping tom?" She winked at her sisters, gesturing to the bushes.

"Oh yes…he said that being the Ruler of this region, he could command an army of thousand to kill whoever watched us." Rin smiled.

"Don't forget, though…we could kill them ourselves." Kagome said, reaching for her arrow, setting it into a bow.

"Sango and I could rip someone apart, her with Hiraikotsu, me with my bare hands." Maeghan grinned.

"Bring em' on…" she heard the growl at once, and revealed the culprits.

Three boys sat there.

"Hey, where's Remus?" Miroku looked around.

"Dirty Idiot…"

"Ya, now explain what in the world is going on here?" Sango yelled.

"Look, we just saw you on the train, and thought you may be a possible threat to this war, so we decided to watch you where we knew you would talk freely." Another man's voice came from the tree, Maeghan thought it was Remus.

"My brothers wanted to get closer, though. I decided to watch out to see if I could get any back-up in case you really wee spies." Remus continued.

"Then you talked about your father being the ruler…we then decided to back off, but this idiot decided to say something." Sesshomaru growled.

"We meant no disrespect ladies." Miroku finished.

"Really?" Maeghan smirked, "Come here then?" she used her powers to coax the boys forward.

When they got close enough, they got a beating they deserved, and then they rolled down the slope (The hot spring is on a hill), to a waiting infirmary.

"Ow?" Remus a large bump on his head.
