“Naraku!” Rin screamed in fury as she leapt at him, possibly saving Amai from a broken arm. The girl ran from the room, her face stained with tears so much that she completely missed the lit candle that had fallen from the nightstand.
The Dark Hanyou slapped his mate across the face, and she hit him back. “Do not treat her as a piece of property! She is our child!”
“She is a slut!” he hollered back.
She struck him again, this time so hard that he fell back. They still hadn't seen that the candle had now set the curtains ablaze. Naraku growled at her, grasping her wrists firmly and shoving her against the wall. He tore her yukata from her, revealing her lithe form.
