Kagome was in her own time with her child and husband. Kagome was cooking breakfast. Shippo jr. was drawing in his coloring book he got for Christmas. Inuyasha was lessening to the radio while drinking coffee. “Tomorrow night there is going to be a meteor shower near the docks near southern Tokyo. Scientists say that this kind of meteor shower comes annually every 500 years.” Shippo jr. heard this and said “mommy can we go see that?” “Sorry honey but we got things to do.” Shippo sighed and turned to inuyasha “daddy can we go see that?” He grunted and said “if it's ok with your mother.” Shippo sighed again. Kagome served the food and looked at her son's dismayed face. “Tell ya what; if you help me out the shrine we might have some time to go.” He smiled “okay!”

 

Inuyasha put a t-shirt and jeans and baseball cap and went to his job as a gym teacher at the local high school. He took the scenic route through the park as usual looking at the trees as he went along listening to the birds as they flew by. He did this as often as he could even though it was the long way. The walk gave him some peace of mind. He needed it because all he had to look forward to is yelling at geeks that couldn't do a single pull up and after school writing reports and listen to parents complain about how their kids are getting bullied by a maniac gym teacher. He went to his office to see what was scheduled today. The obstacle course. *sigh* well so much for a relaxing day. He thought this because his students were the least athletic group of people of all time. Excepting certain students whom showed some promise at least.

 

It was the near the end of the day and he had a total of 5 collapses, 7 throw ups and 4 sprained ankles. It was almost time to leave and he had to get a bull whip to motivate the stragglers. The school bell rang and inuyasha did his ending routine, paper work, next week's schedule, and listening to parental complaints over the phone.

Kagome was cooking dinner and shippo jr. was reading a picture book. Inuyasha turned in early due to a rough day. Kagome served diner and was going through a mental check list of what to take to the meteor shower. Kagome finished diner, tucked shippo jr. away and went to bed her self.

 

Kagome began to dream she was standing in an endless field and it was raining cherry blossoms. She gazed around when she saw an archway appear out of nowhere behind her. It had a sign next two it. She read it and it said:

We, who are closest to you, are those who are the furthest away. Because we far away we seek to become closer. But since we are close we don't know far we are.

 

She cocked her head and went through the arch. Instantly she was thrown into the sky by some unknown force. She stopped above the clouds and she floated next to flickering lights. She began to hear a faint multitude of voices. The voices said many different things but they all seemed to go along with the sign. Then they all seemed to echo one another. And they all said “when lights upon high fall from the sky. They come to us and bring our dreams with a single form thus.” The lights spun around kagome at blinding speed and she fell to the ground. But the ground wasn't their any more. Only pitch black with a central light. She awoke with a start.

 

She looked around no one else awake. What was up with that dream? She chose not to dwell on it. She got up and began to cook breakfast. The others rose as well when they smelled the food. The family ate a near wordless breakfast. Inuyasha said goodbye and went to work. Kagome got dressed and took shippo jr. and went shopping for what to bring. The got the usual things like drinks, chips and a picnic blanket. She still pondered about the dream but didn't put it at a high priority. They paid for their stuff went home. Inuyasha was already home. When kagome inquired inuyasha said cause of the meteor shower everybody got off early.

 

It was approaching night fall and the gang went to the costal park next to the docks. They sat down on the grass under a large oak. Kagome saw the first one. The rest were in plain sight for all to see. In the middle of it kagome noticed something these are brighter than they should be. “Mommy look at that big blue one. She saw a huge bright blue one it was moving slower than the others. She looked closer and she felt a sudden burst of energy. The blue meteor got bigger then kagome saw that there were other ones like this only different colors. She looked at inuyasha and he noticed this too. She looked back and the blue one was even bigger. She stared at it longer. Wait the others aren't getting bigger. She gasped “inuyasha that one isn't getting bigger its coming towards us!” The blue meteor seemed to increase speed. They stood up ready to run. But the meteor passed over head. They turned around and it hit a near by mountain with a huge explosion that seemed to emanate throughout all of Tokyo.

 

The crash site of the blue meteor was riddled with debris and flames but where the meteor was a small ring of blue fire and shippo, now with three tails, was standing.
