Hi, Fluffysgirl4ever here! WOW! I'm updating sooner! That's a first! -__-* Sorry I left it at that cliffy, but I was seriously crying my eyes out! ;-__-; It was so hard for me to write that! All you Inuyasha lovers, Inu is back in the house! And to all you Kikyo haters… I'm sorry but Kikyo is good in this chapter. Sadly, though, Inuyasha dies, but with honor. So once again…I'm going to be crying my eyes out. -_-…. lol O well. I just posted the last chapter and I got 51 reviews!!!!!!! Yay! ^_^ WARNING: There might be a lemon in an up coming chapter. MIGHT! I'm not positive. Well on with the chapter.

Chapter 10: Unexpected Help.

Last time: He arrived at the cave and saw Kagome limp in Inuyasha's arms. Inuyasha looked up, a sorrowful look in his eyes. He was back to normal… but Kagome was no longer with him. Tears flowed down his face, as he reached for his sword. Damn Jaken! Sesshomaru took Kagome from Inuyasha's arms and held her tight.

" KAGOME! Wakeup, please wakeup! I need you!" Sesshomaru whispered in her hair. He looked to Inuyasha, who was crying for what he did.

"Don't dye!"

Sesshomaru held her tight in his arms, silent tear flowing down his face. `When death will take her away from me, I can no longer save her.' He looked at Kagome's face, seeing the pale lifeless form before him. She looked dead. He failed. Sesshomaru yelled skyward, his pain excruciating.

" What did I do, God? Please tell me why this happened!" Sesshomaru had never cried like this since his mother died. " Damn it! Why her!" He placed Kagome down on the ground and put his head to her chest, trying to hear her breathing. It was very faint, only a few heartbeats and she would be dead from his reach. He looked up to Inuyasha in a rush.

" Inuyasha, go find Jaken and tell him to go to my castle. He also has my sword. Get it quick!" As soon as he said it, Inuyasha was gone. Sesshomaru looked back at Kagome's body.

" Kagome, please wake up! Stay strong for me! You might be dead to this world but your soul still stays within." Sesshomaru heard a person behind him and swiftly saw Inuyasha's dead wretch. She stared into his eyes and then looked at her recantation.

Wordlessly, she came and sat by Sesshomaru, extending her arms over Kagome. He growled violently. " You can't have her soul!" Kikyo looked at him dully.

" I am trying to save her, idiot. I will give her the part of her soul I have and my miko powers. That is all I can do for her." Kikyo extended her arms further, a blue but fiery light coming from her palms.

"The prophet foretold as in history from the past: The chosen one has chosen love over death. Now, I give up my life to carry out the last promise." She then began a chant.

Blood-to-blood: soul-to-soul,

Heart-to-heart and body-to-body.

Our fingers touch and life, as was foretold,

Will be reborn.

Light surrounded the two, blasting Sesshomaru out on the entrance of the cave. Inuyasha showed up with Sesshomaru's sword, eyes sqinting, as the light from the cave grew intense. Burst of colors formed around the girls, making it impossible to see what was going on. Then, suddenly, the cave collapsed over them and the light vanished. Both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha rushed to the rubble and started to dig for Kagome. ` Please be okay! I can't loose you!' Sesshomaru heard a soft moan from beneath the debris and dug fast. " I found her!" It was soon after that he found Kagome in just but a couple bruises. He hugged her gently, never wanting to let go again. Inuyasha ran over to them and sat down next to Sesshomaru in an awkward silence.

" Inuyasha, Kikyo has died." He saw him take a gasp of air. "She gave her life for Kagome in some sort of miko magic." Inuyasha looked at him and then looked to Kagome. It looked as if he was trying to tell if they joined together. But, when he studied Kagome, Inuyasha finally sighed. " At least she died with honor." Inuyasha looked at his older brother, no longer seeing the bastard he used to be, but a new person who loves. ` She changed him like she changed me.' Sesshomaru motioned for Inuyasha to follow him as he headed back to his castle.

Hey! * Dodges flying tomatoes* QUITE IT! Geez, I was just trying to update quick for you people! lol Well, the next chapter will be out soon. I'M ON A ROLL! YAY! Poo, school starts pretty soon, though. Damn learning. ~_~ O well, expect the update by Wednesday. Thank you to all the reviewers so far. 52! YAY! When I started this, I would have dropped dead. lol O well again. Sunday, which is tomorrow; I won't be here, so I don't think the update would come earlier in the morning.
