Chapter 2: Dog Boy

Don't Own Inu-Yasha, don't report me

A week had passed since our arrival, I had found that Kagome kept on disappearing and not coming back for days. Her mother told me she had been going off with a boy with cute ears. I was just as stunned as the next person when Ryoku blurted out Inu-Yasha. And to everyone's surprise, her mother nodded and said that seemed to be his name! We decided to look upon it further and one night, I did.

It was a stuffy night, one that woke me up to get some fresh air, once outside, I saw a red blur go into Kagome's room through her window. I went inside and ran to her room, which was unlocked, as usual.

I opened the door to see a boy with dog ears in a haori talking to Kagome, what's more, she was packing her bag!

"Inu-Yasha." I called, they froze.

"Kagome, who's this wench and what's she doing here! Did you tell her about the-" he burst out.

"I knew about it already… A priestess named Kikyo had pinned you to a tree for fifty years, casting you into a spell, what's more you used to love her, until Naraku pitted you against each other…

And so, in a matter of moments, I uncovered most of what they knew. Inu-Yasha's jaw dropped.

"My friend has an interest in legends, and you, Inu-Yasha, are one of his favorites." I answered before he could ask.

"Feh, is that all it is to you, some story, it's as real as hell and maybe you being the little realist that you are, cant believe that, but I sure can. `Cuz I live it!" he snapped.

"Inu-Yasha! Be nice, she could even help us out if she knew how it ends!" Kagome scolded.

"Sorry, I don't know that much…" I admitted.

"I'd ask you to come along…" Inu-Yasha looked horrified "but you see, the well would only let Inu-Yasha and me pass." she finished.

"So quit dreamin'!" he added, with that, they left.

I woke in the morning, wondering about the dream that I had, until I went to Kagome's room and found a note, along with a jewel shard.

`I want you to take this shard and use it to help find a way to get to Feudal Japan, that is, it you want to' it read.

I took the note and shard and walked to the room Ryoku was staying in, I knocked on the door, feeling nervous and excited.

"Come in." was the reply, to my surprise, he sounded as if he had been awake for quite awhile.

"Ryoku, I have some good and bad news." I said.

"Go ahead." he replied.

"I discovered Inu-Yasha is, indeed real." I said.

"Get out!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah, but the bad news is, only he and Kagome can travel through time…" I added.

"Time? Time traveling is in it too? Wow! Not I CAN combine my two researches!" he exclaimed.

"She uses the Shikon no Tama to time travel." I added, showing him the shard.

"It's broken… Do you know how dangerous that might be, one shard in the wrong hands--" he burst out.

"I know, which is why they are gathering them, the thing is, I want to help but can't!!!" I replied.

"You have a shard???" he asked, I nodded, he grinned and turned back to the sheet of paper he worked on, scribbling madly.

"Eureka!!! I found it! Haruna, start packing, we have lift off!" he exclaimed, I smiled at the over enthusiasm.

"How and when?" I asked.

"The moon phase must be the Full Moon, which is tonight, we have to go to the spirit tree and take the jewel with us, we have to go to the tree and draw a circle around three times at around midnight when the moon is clear if it were full and it could only transport one person. It would be far from the well, but it will work!" he explained.

I nodded, but in my head, I somehow didn't believe him..

This one's too short… I know that, so anyways, I'm working on the next chappie now!!!

But if you look carefully (or just plain look…) you would see I do a TON of foreshadowing, I drop way too many hints. I'm also using several POV s just to tell you.

So you know, I've successfully managed to do a couple of things unintentionally or intentionally in the span of three days. 1) I got mad at someone for telling me the truth 2) I got someone mad at me for acting condescending and rude 3) I got to talk to a person in that week more than I was able to for the whole school year! 4) I got to like Sesshoumaru-sama 5) I read a lot of fan fiction and wrote two at a time --- A whole lot in a week, eh? I'm repelling friends like losing keys!!! Hey, I'm bad, oh well, what can you do?
