Sesshomaru picked up her limp and pliant body and carried her down to his personal baths. Ge observed her in her unconscious state. Her ebony hair hung in a silken waterfall over his shoulder as he cradled her form against him. Pushing open the door with his opposite shoulder, he carried her towards the water of his indoor hot spring. For once he could hold her. For once he could touch her.

'This sesshomaru does not think such things' whispered the ever present voice in the back of his mind. 'This Sesshomaru is thinking these things' he whispered back to it. 'And he will continue thinking them' he added just to spite himself. He was satisfied as he received no answer from the pestiferous little voice, taking it as his victory over it.

He gazed down to the woman in the water beside him, her body lying at the bottom of the springs. He sat studying her features more closely than he ever could before. Her skin that started at her waist was pale and perfect. Strange curling symbols ran up her sides, starting at her hips, and ending at her perfectly shaped breasts. Just the perfect size to cup in his hands. Meant for his hands, and his alone. As she was his alone. His eyes grazed over her high cheek bones and perfectly curved eyebrows. Her cheeks seemed slightly flushed. Her shark half appeared smooth as silk beneath the water, and white-gray in color. Her eyelashes laid thickly in a dark crescent moon over creamy, unblemished skin resting lightly like black feathers upon the finest silk.

Slowly, almost as if afraid his eyes moved towards her lips. Curved and red. Reminding him of lips that were swollen with deep soul searing kisses that left you gasping for breath with heavy lidded eyes. 'This Sesshomaru will not tolerate such lowly thoughts' the voice in his head raged. He inwardly groaned as the line of his thoughts was cut off so abruptly.

'Do you ever leave this Sesshomaru alone?' he questioned it. Time dragged on slowly as he waited for the inevitable answer. 'No' it replied after a lengthy pause. That one word alone was enough to make him want to sink his claws through somethings flesh. Preferably the ever annoying creature in his head. But of coarse all that the voice evoked in his demeanor was a slightly raised eyebrow and a scoff. Once again the voice had quieted as Sesshomaru arose from his seated position next to Kagome. He would talk to her once she regained consciousness. The thought alone was enough to have chills of anticipation run down his spine.

He arrived back at his room just as he heard an annoying voice squeak up from behind him.

"My Lord Sesshomaru where did you go!?" screeched the annoying toad demon from behind him. He gave a small glare down at the sickening creature that made Jakken cower in upon himself.

"I have gone nowhere that is of your concern Jakken" He replied icily, using all of his self control to not rip the weak toad demon to pieces right in the middle of his hallway. 'How dare he think he can question this Sesshomarus whereabouts!' he thought to himself in a rage, red lightly glazing his eyes. He refused to converse with such a lowly creature any longer,

With that thought Sesshomaru abruptly spun around towards his door, and proceeded to storm in and slam the door in the lesser demons face just as a muffled cry was about to be let loose in fear of the angry taiyoukai. Of course he did not storm, or slam the door. Such things would be below him.

'And yet you drop so low as to think human thoughts towards that woman. How the mighty have fallen Lord Sesshomaru' shot the ever persistent voice at him. 'She is not human' he replied to it with an annoyed tone, 'You are aware that i am you are you not. Why do you persist in arguing with me when we are the same being?' it questioned. "I am aware of who and what you are but that does not stop me from despising you!" he hissed aloud to it. His other side seemed to fear his anger as it quickly fell silent when his eyes bled to red. He turned towards the wall searching for a way to release the sudden on-pour of anger he was experiencing.

He drew back his fist and punched it straight through the solid wall, all the way out through to the other side. His fathers old spell on the castle working its magic and healing the wall. Anything in the castle that was broken was automatically healed. He felt his anger flow away. His father could not keep replacing everything when his young son always found a reason to pick a fight with something in the castle. It was even still working after all these years even with his fathers death.

His mind kept whispering something to him. Like there was something that he was forgetting that was trapped within that memory. He just could not understand why the muffled voices seemed so urgent, so unclear. Realization slowly dawned upon him after minutes pondering the wall in front of him. Anything that was broken in the castle... even her. Just like that the answer was there. Why she was still alive. But it didn't answer as to why she was in the flesh. One question about his secret obsession was answered but it only brought so many more to mind.
'When she wakes up' he reassured himself. 'Then I will find more answers'
