Chapter 11: Viva Las Vegas! Part 4
Inuyasha breathed into the phone, unable to think of what to say.
"Speechless I see? That's quite an accomplishment for you isn't it? Your little tramp did a pretty good job taming you."
Inuyasha growled angrily. "What have you done with her? What have you done with Kagome?"
Another icy laugh was emitted from the other end of the phone. "Finally responding are we? Not very politely mind you, you should tell your girlfriend here to teach you to control your temper- that is, if you ever see her again."
"Where IS SHE?" he repeated urgently.
"Temper, temper Inuyasha. Be patient." The occupant on the other side of the line was enjoying toying with him very much. "She is safe for now, but I don't think I will be giving her back very soon- she is very important to me now, very important to my plans."
"We don't have the shards of the jewel!!!! What do you want with her?"
"As much as I would just love to explain it to you on the phone, I'm afraid I'm running up my cell phone bill, so I will just have to tell you when I see you in person."
Inuyasha opened his mouth to respond, but was cut off. "Meet me in the lobby downstairs in 10 minutes, or I'm afraid I won't be able to secure her safety much longer."
Click. Beep beep beep….
Inuyasha was left to listen to the silence of the deserted phone line.

Back at the casino…….
Sango pushed her way through the crowd and found herself face to face with Miroku.
"Miroku I can't find Kagome anywhere and now it seems that Inuyasha is gone too." She said breathlessly.
Miroku nodded curtly. "I am aware of both of their absences. Let us collect Shippou and head back to the hotel."
"Why the hotel? Do you think they needed some more- alone time?"
"No, I sense a dangerous aura coming from the hotel Sango, and if my instincts are correct, Inuyasha and Kagome are probably at the root of the danger as we speak."
Sango didn't wait for further explanation. She started to walk hurriedly towards the babysitting desk, Miroku at her heels. As they arrived they saw the same clerk that Inuyasha had spoken to earlier. She still looked friendly, but a little bit confused.
"May I help you?" she said.
Miroku responded quickly and to the point. "We are here to pick up a young boy named…"
"Shippou! Thank goodness your alright!" cried Sango. Shippou jumped into her arms.
The clerk spoke up once again. "Oh good one of you must be able to return this purse to the owner, as well as this rather large bag of money." She indicated to the purse and brown money sack next to her. "One of the owners ran of in a sudden daze muttering some odd language and not shortly after, another came asking for her and ran abruptly out the front doors. He looked worried." She finished. Sango and Miroku ran off with Shippou, fearing the worst. The clerk who had not yet realized they left continued talking. "But you're here now! So you can finally take these off my han…" She looked up and realized she was alone. "…ds." She looked exasperated as she muttered comments about irresponsible parents and no respect for hard working employees.
Sango and Miroku dashed across the street and stopped at the front doors of the hotel.
"There is definitely something surrounding this building that doesn't belong here." Said Sango.
Miroku turned to Shippou. "Listen to me Shippou. Sango and I are unarmed and we can't risk going back up to the room without looking for Kagome and Inuyasha. Chances are they are both unarmed as well. I need you to sneak as fast as you possibly can back up to our room and get our weapons. Come back down the main lobby with them, but be discreet about it."
"I don't understand! And that's not fair I wanna fight!" he cried.
"Shippou," said Sango. "we really need your help. Please go get the weapons. You can float up to our room as fast as you can and please be careful." (A/N: in some of the episodes Shippou inflates himself into that big pink bubble thing, and that is what I am referring to as I say `float' up to the room.)
Shippou nodded and inflated. Sango watched for a split second to make sure he was getting along alright. When she saw him drop into their balcony, she turned back to Miroku.
"Let's go." With that they cautiously entered the lobby. It was empty. They walked slowly forward. Each of their steps echoed on the tiled ground. Sango moved instinctively closer to Miroku.
"Something isn't right. All the people are gone. Even the employees." She stated.
"Very good observation, but I can't have you ruining my plans by getting to Inuyasha before I do." Said a new voice. Sango snapped around to see the owner of that voice. Her eyes widened in anger as she stood face to face with…..
"Kikyou." She seethed.
Kanaye: HA gonna leave ya hanging again! The next chapter should be up very very very shortly after this one. I am already writing it. Please review!!!!!! Until next time.
