The End
Chapter 7
Astral Projection for Dummies

The next day Kagome woke up, not refreshed but woke up. Thankfully it was a Saturday, so her mother wouldn't be able to call her in again. She had resolved that she had the rest of the weekend to get over this. If there was no way back, then there was nothing that she could do. And if there was nothing that she could do, she was going to have to move on.

“Mom,” Kagome called to her mother. “I'm going out.”

“And where exactly is `Out'?” Her mother asked but quickly added, “Not that I'm unhappy to hear that.” She laughed merrily. It was good to hear that her daughter was going to leave the shrine.

“Out is to the library, to catch up on my studies.” Kagome replied almost happily. It made her feel better to see her mother look so much better she felt bad for making her mother worry so much.

Kagome grabbed her school bag, and she walked about three blocks down towards the library, when she saw a large sign that read `GRAND OPENING' above a small gray shop. And under the big red grand opening sign, there was a slightly smaller sign that read `Kaede's Book Store' and as if that sign weren't clearly a sign Kagome saw yet another sign. `40% OFF SALE ONE DAY ONLY'

As Kagome stepped off the street, and into the store, she was amazed at how much such a tiny shop had to offer. She stood in the doorway for less than a moment, but before she could take everything in an old woman that looked slightly familiar asked. “Can I help you?”

“I sure wish you could.” Kagome said sounding defeated.

“Are you so sure that I can't?” Said the old woman.

“Not unless you know anything about wells, and time travel that I don't.” Grumbled Kagome.

“Well, I don't know anything about any of that, but we have a special studies section that might. We have books on everything from cooking to astral projection and dream studies.”

“What's that second one again? Astral projection? What's that?” Kagome asked.

“It's a way to project yourself across a plane or appear into places at once or possibly different times. The possibilities some say are endless.”

“Different time, you say?” Kagome repeated with interest.

“Yes” says the old woman, and she handed Kagome a book entitled Astral Projection for Dummies.
