Prologue: Just like any other day….

Just another shard hunt. Just another day. Just like all those other "Just another day" days. It was evening, just like every other evening. Everyone was acting like they usually do, on nearly evening.

Inuyasha walked ahead of the group, followed by Kagome, then Sango and Miroku, with Shippou and Kirara at the end. Just like every other day. They where about half a day from Kaede's hut, so they made camp, like usual.

Kagome cooked, they ate, and they eventually fell asleep. Just like any other night.

But it wasn't like any other night….

A small pattering of horse's hooves. A small rustle of leaves. The light creaking of a branch supporting a body. Not loud enough for even a demon to hear.

At that time, it stopped being just like every other night.
