Last Chapter: Kagome gazed down into the chocolate brown eyes of Kouga, leader of the wolf clan.

Kouga stared back at her while still keeping the caressing hand on her cheek,“ Kagome…”

“Yes, Kouga?” Kagome said still crying a little.

“Kagome, I love you!” Kouga declared imploringly searching her eyes quickly before leaning in to kiss her softly.

The kiss was gentle and graceful. A noise from outside of the cave interrupted. Kagome ran outside to discover what made the noise when a guy out of nowhere swooped down and grabbed her. Kagome screamed once loudly and hoped Kouga had heard her.Kouga heard the scream and knew it was Kagome but when he ran outside to see what was going on Kagome was gone.

“Kagome!!” Kouga had yelled into the silence an bagan to cry.

~*Meanwhile back by the camp.*~

Inuyasha shoved Kikyo away from him before she could go any further.

“Kikyo, what are you doing?” Inuyasha asked as he moved further away.

“Inuyasha, I thought you loved me.” Kikyo said with tears about to be shed.

“Yes, I did but that was fifty years ago before I met Kagome and since

then things have changed.” Inuyasha stated calmly remembering his thoughts.

“You will always be in my heart.” Inuyasha said as he kissed Kikyo on the cheek in farewell.

Kikyo began to cry, “ Inuyasha, I thought I was the only one for you.”

Inuyasha stood still as he heard what she had said. Inuyasha begun to speak but was cut off by the noise he heard, which was Kikyo running deeper into the forest the opposite path that Kagome had ran down earlier.Then all of a sudden Inuyasha heard someone call Kagome's name. But who was it?Should I go see who it was? Or should I run after Kikyo? Inuyasha questioned himself.Then he had heard it again. Inuyasha ran into the forest to where that voice was coming from. Inuyasha came to a complete stop to see Kouga kneeling on the ground crying. He heard Kouga say something.

“Kagome, where are you?”

“Kouga, what happened?” Inuyasha asked.

“She was kidnapped while you were with that clay pot.” Kouga answered with anger in his tone.

“Kagome saw you kiss Kikyo, then she ran away from….” Kouga said trying not to cry even more.

“FROM WHAT?” Inuyasha yelled.

“From the pain.” Kouga finished.

Inuyasha stopped as he heard Kouga's words. Inuyasha wondered what he meant when he said `From the pain'.

“What pain did I cause her?” Inuyasha questioned angrily.
