Downstairs Inuyasha dropped the juice glass he was carrying at the sound of Kagome screaming. `Keh, probably another spider'.

He ran up the stairs and forced the door open quickly, “Oi, Kagome what the hell is your pro..” His voice trailed off quickly when he saw Kagome in a un-natural slump in the bed. Then the scent of her blood hit his nose and hard, it was hers but from where, it wasn't time for her cycle to end. He jumped over to her and pulled the cover back. She was lying in a pool of her own blood.

“Kagome!” He roared shaking the walls.

 

“Mr…Yasha?” A questioning voice rolled over his ear.

“Mr…”

“It's just Inuyasha jerk-off”, he spat.

The doctor stumbled a bit at the tone of his voice, and then thankfully a female voice interjected.

“Doctor, how is Kagome?” It was Sango. Inuyasha huffed in a corner of the waiting room pacing wildly.

“She's fine now, but sedated, you can see her in room 212”, the doctor informed them, but before he finished the sentence Inuyasha was off like a shot towards her room.

“Oi, here we go Sango my lotus.” It was typical Miroku.

`Only he would try to sweet talk at a time like this' she sighed to herself

 

Inuyasha stopped just short of bursting in her room, he quietly opened the door and stepped in. He faltered a bit at the site of his Kagome. Machines all around her, tubes stuck inside her arm, he didn't like how this smelled but then again there was a lot that he didn't understand about her time. Ever since they, being Kagome, Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku, went through the Bone Eaters well his senses have been on overload. He walked over to Kagome and gently took her hand and laid his head down on the bed beside her. His ears twitching listening for everything and anything. He closed his eyes for a moment and then a familiar scent made him open his eyes with a start.

“Oi, Sess, what are you doing here?” he half snorted, not wanting this intrusion right now.

Sesshomaru, the youkia ruler of the Western Lands, lived for many years, not aging a day, watched over Kagome's family without them knowing. With the passage of time he became a healer to both humans and youkia alike.

“I'm checking in my patient little brother”, he stated matter of factly.

 

Suddenly Kagome sat bolt upright, startling both brothers and screamed,

“NO!..Your hurting me…stop calling me miko!..SHINWA STOP!”

Suddenly a bright light radiated from her small frame filling the room and sent both brothers flying back a few steps.

“What the hell is happening?!” Inuyasha snorted as he shielded himself from the light.

The light ceased abruptly and Kagome slumped back down to her bed unceremoniously.

“Shinwa is happening.” Sesshomaru whispered.
