“Sess…Oi! Sess! Don't ignore me, Kagome saw her again, we have to hurry!” Inuyasha snarled at his older brother.
“I know, she'll probably heat up her attacks, we are near her shrine,” he said coolly to his brother.
They walked calmly into a clearing of the forest in the heart of the Western lands, there stood and small shrine, with a statue being housed inside. The statue was of a young female, it looked as if it was living marble. Both of the brothers watched it for a moment and then a noise caught their attention. `Kids? This deep in the forest?' Inuyasha thought.
A small blue ball bounced and rolled beside the shrine and stayed there till 3 younger children came to fetch it. The young girl came hesitantly out into the clearing, “Guys you know I don't like coming here, this place gives me the creeps.” She said with a waiver in her voice. “Gimme a break Kayki, it's a damn statue.” The older of the 2 boys snorted at her. “Gotta remember Koha she's afraid of spiders,” chimed in the other boy. “No I'm not Ginta!” she screamed at him. Then Koha started throwing the ball at the shrine bouncing it off the wall. Inuyasha growled. `That fucking kid has no idea what he's done…stupid little bastard!' Inuyasha looked over to Sesshomaru who whispered quietly to change in to his Feudal Era cloths; he did so, tying Tetsusaiga securely at his side while letting his illusion spell wear off showing his ears. Sesshomaru already donned in his cloths let his spell wear off revealing his stripes and moon crescent. He securely adjusted Tensaiga and Toukijin against his hip. They both stepped out of the shadows and stood towering over the 3 children who stopped their play and froze in place.
“Why are you on my land?” Sesshomaru questioned then while looking down at them. Inuyasha growled at them softly giving them fair warning. Ginta and Koha stammered with their words trying to form an answer. “Are you the mythical brothers of the Western Lands?” The little girl was questioning them now. “Kayki…was it? Why do you want to know?” Sesshomaru was growing tired of this. “I've read about your legends, the sons of the great Demon Lord of the Western Land. And I must say one of you was a big meanie.” She said half snorting like Inuyasha.
“Keh!...that still doesn't explain why you are here you little brats.” Inuyasha snorted at them. One of the boys, Ginta spoke, “Well the lady said we could play here, our small town is to the east and we like this forest.”
“What lady?” Sesshomaru asked, his tone was no mistaking the last of his patience was wearing thin.
“The lady who has hair like you do, it's all silvery.” Kayki said innocently.
“And she's got really cool claws too.” Both boys chimed in.
“That's her there.” The little girl pointed at the statue with a hint of a grin on her face.
Sesshomaru suddenly unsheathed Toukijin and spoke fiercely, “That is enough Shinwa!”
“Oh but brother, I'm just starting to have fun with you and Inuyasha.” The little girl's voice aged with a hint of fierceness and danger. The two boys disappeared. Inuyasha jumped back, surveying the scene. `An illusion, what the hell is going on?'
“My little brother, you haven't even begun to see what I can do.” She spoke to him softly. The little girl smirked at Inuyasha and then a bright light was released towards him.
He opened his eyes and he looked around. `Holy crap, I'm back in the Feudal era!'
“Inuyasha, you have come back for me.” A soft calm voice spoke.
He whirled around and there stood, a very much alive Kikyo.
