“But Inuyasha, I don't need babysitters…whoever or whatever this Shinwa is hasn't attacked me in over a week,” Kagome spoke with a bit of a whine in her voice.

“It's for your own good, Miroku can fend her off if she does happen to visit your dreams again, and Sango is for company, my mind is made up, you need people with you while me and Sess go and figure out what this thing is and how to stop her,” her spoke in a huff. Inuyasha wasn't one to change his mind easily if at all. She reluctantly gave in and gave a small sigh.

 

**Later that night**

 

“Com'on Kagome, it will be fun and you need to relax. It will be a nice distraction for a few hours,” Sango pleaded with Kagome.

“Ok, ok Sango, just for a few hours, but let's take the cell incase Inuyasha tries to call.” Kagome gave in reluctantly. This is not what she wanted to do tonight but with Inuyasha off with Sesshomaru, she thought she might as well amuse Sango and Miroku. It was safe enough, but why did she have this gut feeling something was wrong.

 

They broke through the club's door, Kyoushu, “what a name for a club, Assassin. Wonderful.” This was the club she knew that both youkia and humans went to, so she thought it was safe. She and Sango danced away, while Miroku watched on, while glancing at the scantily clad women of Kagome's time. Kagome glanced around while dancing with Sango, who was so full of energy from her lack of fighting; she noticed a pair of familiar eyes watching her from the shadows. Blue piercing eyes. She knew them. And out of the shadows, walked straight over to her and said, “Kagome?” She looked over the younger man…she knew him but she couldn't place him. She stammered, “Y...yes, I'm Kagome.” “Oh my Kagome, I thought I lost you to time, I thought I lost my woman.” `Koga!' He stood over her, taller than her, his hair shorter but still in a high ponytail, he wore form fitting faded jeans, and a snug fitting sweater,'oh my look at his chest now!..what the hell am I thinking!' She mentally cursed herself and then smiled and leapt to give him a big hug and immediately he blushed at her straight forwardness. “Oh my gods Koga! I didn't know you survived too! I'm so happy to see you're ok!” Kagome blushed a little as she realized what she said. “It's ok Kagome, I know what you meant, but I didn't wait for you, and for that I am sorry, I have a girlfriend now.” He said a little shyly. Just then a girl about the age of Kagome appeared beside him. She gave a little grin to Kagome, and then smiled to Koga. Something about this girl didn't sit right with Kagome, she was uneasy around her.

“Hi my name is Misu” she said coolly to Kagome.

 

Sango and Kagome returned to the table with Miroku to sit and chat. Kagome absentminded sipping of her drink ignoring Sango who was calling Miroku a pervert with too much time on his hands, she watched Koga with this girl Misu. It was Don't Cha by the Pussy Cat Dolls they were dancing too. The next thing she saw was the lights flashing to the song, and she swore she saw Koga swaying in a trance, with Misu dancing around him. First she swore she saw the girls' eyes change colour, but she brushed it off as a play of the lights, but then the next thing spooked her, Misu's hair changed from a light blonde brown to a shining silver mane.

 

Misu watched Kagome as she let her hair change colour, and she got the reaction she wanted. `Stupid little miko, I know you saw that, and you still haven't made the connection to the name, both meaning myth. Stupid miko.' She saw Kagome visibly shudder. `Time to let the miko know that I am here and I will follow her to get to the brothers of the Western Lands.' Misu focused in on Kagome casting an illusion.

 

Right before Kagome's eyes, Misu changed in to Shinwa. She toyed with Koga who was standing there in a trance not moving. Shinwa mouthed to her, know the miko could hear her in her mind, `Watch little miko, I know where you are, and what you do, watch as I destroy this little wolf pup.' Then with horror Kagome watched as Shinwa slithered around Koga and tore open his chest spilling blood. Next she leaned next to Koga and bit down on his neck. He didn't move or flinch. “Tell me where the brothers of the Western Lands are!” Shinwa roared in Kagome's ears. Kagome screamed and the whole club went silent.

 

Kagome got up, knocking over tables, chairs and people and darted out the entrance past Koga and Misu, who whispered to Koga “Must have been something she saw.” She smirked. Koga took off after Kagome along with Sango and Miroku, and shouted back to Misu,” I'll call you later.”

 

Sango found Kagome huddled in the alley next to the club on her cell phone crying,” Inuyasha! She's here, I just saw her with Koga…she ripped him in half…she looking for you! Help me!” Sango grabbed the phone, Miroku and Koga took their positions beside Kagome helping her up. “INUYASHA! Calm down. Stop yelling in my damn ear! I don't know what she saw, she was sitting right beside us before she freaked out…she's fine! Stop freaking on me dog boy! Miroku and Koga have her, we're taking her home! Call us in about an hour.” Sango snapped the cell phone shut. `Friggin yell at me will you, you wait till this is over.'
