Chapter 1 Twin love

“Oka-Chan!!! I'm home!!!” Kagome yelled as she ran inside, a smile on her face as she skipped her skirt from left to right, panties showing. She flung the door opened and she kicked off her shoes. She was opening the door to her living area when the familiar scent took her by surprise. It was his cologne. That smell that had filled her senses all her childhood. She slowly opened it all the way and peered inside; too late he had heard her.

“Kag's welcome home” that voice was as icy as ever.

“Hello…Father.” She murmured terror raising alarm in her voice if it were to go any higher then the whisper. “Why are you visiting now of all times?” she asked trying to sound in the least a little pleased.

“Kagome your father will be looking out for you as of today so don't worry him please. Sota and I shall be leaving on a trip and your grandfather is going to a friend's hot spring for a long while to relax. He too knows about Inuyasha and the bone eaters well.” Her mother had no clue to what went on behind closed doors with this man and her lone daughter. Her sister had fallen to him ad he was taking it out on her, his own guilt was killing her little by little.

“Kuso…”She silently said to herself. “Alright, but we have a new lead in the warring states and I will be gone for most of the week.” She laughed nervously. “I just came to pack up and then ill be on my way again. So, if you'll excuse me.” She went to leave but her mother had already made it worse.

“No come and see us off. Then you can leave. Ill miss you so much.” She took Kagome's hand and walked with her to the shrine entrance. “Give me and your father a kiss like we used to and then ill be on my way, Sota is already there I was waiting to see if you'd come back so I could leave. I'm glad you did.” She smiled and she pulled her into and embrace, her father joined in, rubbing `Gome's backside unseen by her mother. They stepped away from each other and said their goodbye's just as Inuyasha jumped out of the god tree above head. Mrs. Higurashi smiled and hugged him too. “Inuyasha please be extra careful with Kagome in these next two weeks for me?” she pleaded with her eyes, he softened a little.

“Aren't I always?” he crossed his arms over his chest. He looked around to see the unfamiliar person. That's the weird scent I smelt earlier, He thought to himself. He felt a kind hand touch his forearm, it was kagome's mother.

“Yes, yes you always are aren't you?” She smiled at them one last time and left them with the faintest hint of worry.

“Shall we go in `Gome?” Her father smiled a crooked smile and placed his hand on Kagome's crevice in her back, lightly pushing her forward. She didn't fight with him. Her sister had and look what happened to her. She was dead. Their parents divorced and the accident all forgotten. Her twin had died in her arms at the young age of only twelve.

The thoughts of that night were horrid and still vivid in her sixteen year old mind. Her father had gone on a drinking binge and touched her older sister, by one minute they were of difference. She could still hear his slurred words in her ear as the rest of the world slept. “You little sluts will get what you want. I saw you both hanging all over those hormone raged boys after school today. And Kyoko, you were the first born so you get to be the first for punishment.”

Kyoko had never been the stronger of the two. He had ripped her apart on the inside. She was mentally unstable to begin with. The weight had brought her to her limit. Once he had started the punishment Kagome knew Kyoko couldn't handle it, she tried to explain what he saw and it was all her fault, Kyoko had nothing to do with it but he didn't care. When he finished with them they went to their room and to bathe still crying. Kyoko took a shower first, but she took too long. Kagome got worried, and infiltrated the bathroom to see the bloody view. Her sister had slit her wrists and bled out for the most part. She was icy as Kagome took her in her arms, her naked flesh prickled at the warmth of her breathing sister.

“-`Gome? Please don't leave me…heehee…live for me too. I was never strong like you I was just a little whench. I love you `Gome.” With those words she had left to the other side. Her mother and father couldn't fathom why she would have done anything so horrible. Kagome went through a no speaking phase when the tragedy hadn't immediately split her parents up. He had still touched her here and there when ever he had a chance. She just blanch out and do what ever he wanted knowing it would be over soon. He then turned violent and hit her leaving scars and bruises. When finally her parents split up she was safe. But only for a little while, he came to visit often. Like right now.

“Dad I will be leaving in a few minutes so don't worry about me for a few days.” Her eyes took on a dark gray glaze of emptiness. “I'll be back-”

He grabbed her arm and tightened his grip “In three days.” He glared at her and released his grip. “Don't leave just yet and get rid of your little friend before you go I have something important to talk to you about.” He pulled out a fag and took a long haul and blew it at her face, her eyes tearing up as Inuyasha gagged a little.

“What's his deal?” Inuyasha looked at Kagome who had the emptiness still in her eyes.

“Could you go on ahead of me i'm still not ready yet.” She gave him a half hearted smile. “I'll be right behind you.” She took off after her father and entered unwillingly into the dark house. The half-demon went ahead like he was asked only because he didn't want to look at her sad eyes anymore.
