Inuyasha could be seen walking behind Kagome and Sango, head down and arms crossed. He was deep in though.

 

`Alright, I've been in some type of sleep for few hundred years. That's believable I guess. That girl said this time demons aren't all bad. Keh, show me a good demon, and I'll show you. He froze when he couldn't come up with anything. It was just simply impossible. `As for Naraku being alive… I don't want to believe it, but it's logical and it'd be something stupid to lie about. Then again these are humans. This is so unfair, isn't it enough being born a half demon, now I have to deal with this human handicap. My life is hell, and I guess it will only continue to get worse. And that girl isn't helping any with these new Orders.' He thought bitterly.

 

(Flash back)

 

“First order, you will not, under any circumstances, unless I allow it, hurt anyone.”

 

“Second order; from now on refer to us by our proper names.”

 

“Third order, no more running away from me, that includes flying away!”

 

“Fourth and final order”, He watched as she looked at the girl beside her for reassurance. “You will slap yourself ever time you're rude to one of us and not a light slap, make sure it hurts.”

 

(End Flash)

 

Inuyasha growled in the back of his throat as he watched the girls from behind. `This isn't fair! What happened to my pathetic life? Why is it, the last thing I remember, is stealing food from some commoners? Nothing makes sense! I know there's more, I can feel it. Memories that feel like darkness, that girl said she'd help me, but… '

 

“Hey Inuyasha are you OK back there?” Kagome called back. He didn't bother to answer. `What's the point? I'm a dog and she's my master. I'll do nothing unless she orders it.'

 

“Inuyasha?” Kagome called again.

 

“…”

 

“Ignore him Kagome he's just being childish.” Sango sighed out.

 

“I should have killed you when I had the chance.” It sent shivers up both girls spins, how calmly Inuyasha said it. `She had no right to call me a child. She knows nothing of my life'.

 

Kagome stopped walking and looked back at him. “Do you really mean that? Well, answer me.”

 

Inuyasha felt his right hand twitch. `What? My hand it's moving on its own? This isn't being rude this is being a servant. Damn them.' He couldn't control it. `Fine I'll answer.'

 

“Yes.” He felt his arm come back under his control.

 

“Why?”

 

“Kagome just ignore the idiot. I mean he's only a half demon, what did you expect?” Sango sighed and started walking again.

 

“That's right I'm only a half demon what should anyone expect.” He whispered bitterly.

 

Kagome head him and reached out and arm to comfort him. “Inuyasha she didn't --”

 

“Don't touch me.” He snapped while brushing past her.

 

Kagome wasn't sure what to do. Technically it was his fault for the whole silent treatment thing, but Sango had been kind of harsh. Sighing she hurried to catch back up with Sango, but tripped on her way. Shutting her eyes, she braced for the impact, only to be caught before hitting the ground.

 

Peeking open her eyes she saw the ground inches from her face. `But what's holding me up?' She turned her head to see, none other than Inuyasha, with his arm wrapped freely around her waist. Blushing horribly, she stood back upright. “Thank…you?”… `What the hell he just walked away in the middle of my thanks?'

 

Sango hurried back. “Hey you ok?”

 

“Yeah I'm fine. I wonder why he caught me.”

 

“Yeah big mystery.” She rolled her eye. Some time even Kagome could be dense. “It was one of your orders remember. Protection and all that stuff.”

 

“Oh right.”

 

“Come on before we lose our body guard.” Kagome giggled slightly while they raced pass Inuyasha.

 

Inuyasha's mind started to wonder after a long period of silence. `K-ka-go-me? Yeah that was her name, Kagome. I wonder if I should really trust her. Humans aren't reliable, my own family proved that, with the help of the village. Demons don't accept my blood, and any blood family I had obviously didn't want me either. Trust no one but yourself.' With that he continued following the two girls.

“Ok that's enough walking for today. I have no clue to where we're going and I'm tired.” Sango stated as she flopped down.

 

Kagome smile as she kicked off her shoes, and flopped down in the grass as well. `Yeeesss, this feel wonderful. The soft grass and blue says. The atmosphere was perfect.' Kagome closed her eyes and took a deep breath. They would rest until tomorrow.

 

Grrrrrr!!!

 

Sango shot up ready to fight the growling beast only to see… `nothing?' “What the..?”

 

Grrrrr!!! Sango turn only to see Kagome blushing face.

 

“Sorry. I guess I'm kind of hungry.” Came her sheepish reply.

 

Sango, Stood staring at Kagome, only to break down into a fit of hysterically laughter.

 

Kagome was mortified. She saw Inuyasha looking at her before quickly looking away. Only for him to turn back around at the sound of another growling stomach. This time it was Sango's turn to show her tomato heritage.

 

Inuyasha rolled his eyes as he turned away from both girls. `Idiots.' He felt a small ache in his lower stomach. `Damn, I'm hungry too.'

 

Kagome sighed as she got control of her laughter. “Wow I'm starving.”

 

“Yeah me too.” Sango responded to the obvious.

 

“How about you, Inuyasha?” Kagome call up to his slumbering form.

 

“No.”

 

Kagome rolled her eyes, she'd asked him questions all day, and all he'd respond with were; yes or no's.

 

Kagome sighed and stood up. “OK I've got it, well split up and look for some food we can eat together. Well meet back here in ten minutes, and yes Inuyasha this is and order.”

 

Inuyasha frowned. `What the hell were minutes?' He growled in the back of his mind. `I'm going to have to ask, but there's no way I'm asking in front of that Sango bitch.' Hesitatingly he opened his mouth, only to be interrupted.

 

“Inuyasha you go that way and we'll go this way.” She turned and started to walk in the opposite direction she'd pointed him in, only to be grabbed and spun around to face Inuyasha

 

“What?”

 

“I-I - “ He looked at Sango and pulled Kagome further away. He leaned in close to her ear.

 

Kagome was to say very confused, she'd seen the look he gave Sango. Like she was the scum of the earth and he rather die then say what ever it was he need to say in front of her. But when he suddenly leaned within inches of her face, she visibly reddened. She felt his hot breath on her ear she nearly fainted from the blood that was rushing to her face. `What the hell's going on?'

 

That was until she heard what he said, which sent her into a fit of giggles.

 

“What are minutes?” Inuyasha had questioned.

 

The question just seemed so unreal she couldn't stop the laughter that spilled out moments later. `This was his big secret? Oh god that was good.' By this time Sango had walked over to see what was so funny.

 

By the time Kagome had clamed enough to explain to Sango why she was laughing so hard. Inuyasha had disappeared from view.

 

“What? What he say?”

 

Kagome looked around searching for Inuyasha presents, he was gone. Kagome groaned out loud, noticing her mistake.

 

“Kagome? What's wrong? What was so funny?”

 

`I'm an idiot.' Sighing she stood up. `I embarrassed him after he trusted me enough to ask.'… “Sango which way did Inuyasha disappear to?”

 

“Hu? I don't know? Now what's going on?”

Inuyasha had disappeared the second that other woman had walked over. `I'm a fool. I should have just winged it. It's obvious that the pain from disobeying an order will alert me to when the ten minutes is happening.' As for now he was free to look for food without restraints.

 

He smiled as he spotted a small steam. Flexing his claws he snatched a single fish out of the water. “They'll starve as I eat.” He growled when he couldn't place the fish in his mouth. “That bitch and her orders.” Her orders were to bring back and share the food we found. “Damn, I'll have to bring back more.”

 

Angry and hungry he went back and caught half a score fish. “Now I wait for the pain.”

“It's been ten minutes and he's still not here. Are you sure he has to follow your orders?”

 

“Well, I think he only has to follow the orders he understands.”

 

“What didn't he understand about coming back in ten minutes?” She noticed Kagome laughing nervously.

 

`The ten minutes parts?' She thought nervously. “Maybe ten minutes, was longer in the past.”

 

“Really Kagome, I'm starting to doubt this whole `orders thing.' AHHHHH!!!” Sango screamed as Inuyasha suddenly landed in front of her.

 

Kagome smiled. “See Sango, I told you he'd be back.”

 

“He's late.” She mumbled from her position on the ground.

 

“Doesn't matter.” She smiled brightly as she noticed the fish. “And look he found us something to eat!”

 

Sango looked at the large fish in hand and felt her stomach crunch. `God I'm hungry.'

 

Inuyasha felt the edge of him lips twitch in an upward angle before he remembered, that the Kagome girl was the one that had laughed at him and the cat girl had insulted his heritage. That was more than enough to squash the weird twitch. Dropping the fish in front of Kagome he hopped into a tree over head.

 

Kagome sighed sadly. `He`s still mad.'… “Inuyasha could you help us gather some wood for the fire.” Inuyasha smiled. `That defiantly wasn't an order, but if I say, no, she'll just order me to do it anyways.” He lifted one arm and aimed to the side of a tree. “Claws of Mourning.” With a flick of his wrist crescent shaped waves of light cut through a few side branches, that fell to the floor, as the beams faded.

 

Kagome looked at Inuyasha in aw. That was amazing to say the least. “Cool…” The word slipped from her lips showing just how impressed she was. “T-Thanks Inuyasha! Come on Sango, give me a hand.”

 

Together the two girls started a fire. Kagome could have sworn that Inuyasha was sneaking peaks at the fish every few second, but she could never turn fast enough to catch him. Finally getting fed up she went to speak to him about earlier.

 

“Inuyasha?” He turned his head and let his eyes burrow into hers. “I-I would like you to come down, please.” She watched as he rolled the idea over in his head. “Please, don't make me order you. I want to talk to you for a minute then you can go back to your tree.”

 

Growling mentally, Inuyasha rolled to the side and fell from the tree to land facing Kagome.

 

“Follow me.” Kagome said before turning. “Sango, I'll be back in a second. I'm taking Inuyasha with me.”

 

“If you're sure it's safe.”

 

“Positive.” She said while grabbed Inuyasha's hand, and pulled him into the forest.

 

“I told you not to touch me.” He said wrenching his hand away from hers as he spoke.

 

“Oh I'm sorry.”

 

“What do you want, Kagome?” He questioned roughly.

 

“I'm sorry I laughed at you earlier. It wasn't right.” She bowed lightly at the end.

 

Inuyasha was stunned beyond belief. The woman that controlled his every move was apologizing. This had to be a trick. He looked sharply around the clearing. `Nothing, maybe she wasn't really there.' She was looking right at him. Slowly he reached forward and poked her in the cheek. `Well she was real, maybe she had on of the fevers.' He pressed the back of his palm against her head. `No fever.'

 

Kagome's was a light pink. `What's he doing?' Trying to get out of the awkward situation she spoke.

 

“I'm sorry I betrayed your trust, see in today's time everybody understands time. I'll teach it to you, that's, if it's still alright with you.” She nearly sighed in relief when he relented his touching.

 

`So she laughed, because it's common knowledge.' He shifted uneasily. “Alright.”

 

Kagome looked into his eyes with a warm smile. “First we eat then you learn, ok?” She smiled when he nodded, and grabbed his hand and dragged them back to where Sango had a few fish waiting to be cooked on sticks.

 

“Took you two long enough.” Sango raised an eye brow at there joined hands, but remained silent about it.

 

Inuyasha pulled his hand away, and leapt back into his tree. Kagome sighed as she sat down beside Sango.

 

“So what you talk to him about?” Sango asked suspiciously.

 

“Nothing much, just a little of this, and that.” She smiled as she caught Inuyasha looking at her out of the corner of her eye. “Now let cook this fish already! I'm staving!”

 

Inuyasha sat in his tree watching and listening to the two girls below. `I'll give the Kagome girl a chance, but that doesn't mean I trust her.'

OMG I've been sitting on this chapter sense…. February! I know you all hate me, but I think I'll start doing two up-dates a month. That seems reasonable. I've started another story for you Naruto fans.. 6 chapters so far, if you're interested….You know I'm not sure why I've been neglecting this story maybe I wasn't getting enough reviews. Well whatever, I got one a few days ago, and decided to finally finish this chapter. Hope it was some what enjoyable. Now I remember I already wrote this chapter once but I forgot that Inuyasha doesn't have the same exact personality as in the anime so I had to change it.
