Rediscovery
ROAR!
They both looked skyward. “What was that?” Kagome whispered.
“Demon.” He growled out.
“DEMON!?”
ROAR!
Kagome froze when a giant flying cat came into view through the tree canopy.
“Inuyasha?”
Kagome frowned as he covered her mouth and motioned her to be quite. `What the heck does he think he's doing?' She shivered as he pulled her tightly against his chest and moved slightly to the side to peer from behind the tree.
“You stupid cat! What the hell were you thinking pulling me out of the tree like that?” Kagome heart nearly jumped out of its chest at the sound of the voice. “You dumb cat you're supposed to listen to me! I'm the one who summoned you! You have to do as I say! Damn it. I finally found the direction Kagome was in, and you dragged me off to god only knows were!”
Kagome was positive now. `Sango!' She tried to push her self away from Inuyasha but he had an iron grip on her. `Let go!' Her constant struggling did nothing to loosen his grip. So she did the next best thing, she bit him. The results were instantaneous as his hand flew from her mouth. “Let me go right now, Inuyasha, and that's an order!”
`Kagome!' Sango spun around at the sound of her sisters' voice.
“Sango!” Kagome darted out from behind the tree heading for Sango.
ROAR!
The demon cat leaped into her path. Kagome backpedaled as its massive paw made a swipe at her. It gave another terrifying roar and charged at her only to be sent flying sideways by Inuyasha's foot. She watched as Inuyasha turned furious eyes on her.
“You fool, what were you thinking!? That demon could have easily of killed you.” Inuyasha turned to face the demon cat that had made its way back in front of Sango, growling viciously. “Stay behind me.” Kagome wasn't sure what was going on, but opted to stay away from the giant cat's teeth and claws.
Sango nearly had a heart attack when the demon she summoned decided it would be okay to attack her sister. Her mind started to work again once someone sent the large cat flying off to the side. The cat had managed to land on its paws and had made its way in front of her once again. She watched as it took a threatening step forward.
“Oh, no you don't!” She leaped at the cat and managed to wrap her arms around its neck. “Stop attacking my sister, you stupid cat!” The demon cat managed to throw her off only to lock eyes with her. “Don't even think about it.” The cat looked at her a second more before dropping its head and reverting into its smaller form. Sango let out a breath she hadn't noticed she'd been holding. She turned her head toward Kagome and gave her a relieved smile, but that was about all she got to do. She gasped as she was suddenly pined to a tree with her feline companion beside her. She wasn't the only one surprised, because seconds later a very angry Kagome came into sight.
`I-I can't breath!' Her newest and most frightening thought had only made the situation that much more terrifying.
Kagome appeared along side her yelling for this “Inuyasha” to let her go. Her sight was slowly starting to blur as the pressure around her neck continued.
“Inuyasha, stop you're killing her!” Kagome desperately pulled on his arm while pleading with him. 'Oh no! What am I going to do?… That's it! ` “Inuyasha! I order you to let them go, right now!
Sango fell to the ground, gasping for air.
“Inuyasha I order you to sit down and stay still, right now!” `This ordering thing is a mouthful. I'll have to fix that later.'
“Sango, oh my god, Sango, are you OK? I'm so sorry. Are you going to be OK? It's all my fault! I should have told him you were family.”
Sango massaged her bruised neck as she got control of her breathing. “I'm…fine.” She managed between coughs.
“Are you sure?” Kagome inquired once again.
“Yeah just keep him away from me `til I can breath properly again.”
“Oh Sango, I'm so sorry.”
Sango gave a soft smile as she stood up with Kagome's aid. “Its fine, Kagome. You're not the one that tried to choke the life from me.” She stated while looking at Inuyasha.
“Keh!”
“Inuyasha, don't be rude!” Kagome snapped at him.
“Listen, girl. You might have control over me but take responsibility for your own blunders.”
“Control? What are you talking about?” Sango asked.
“Turns out, this is the famous Inuyasha from all the legends, and because I was the one who freed him, he has to do everything I tell him to.”
Sango blinked. “Everything?”
“Yes. Everything.” She smiled happily.
“So you told him to kill Me!?” Sango raged out.
“Wait no! I never told him to kill anybody! I swear!”
“So, Inuyasha, explain to me, how is this Kagome's fault!?”
“…”
“Well?” Sango snapped.
“You hold no power over me, girl. I won't answer any of your stupid questions.”
Sango's mouth opened so wide it looked similar to a black hole.
“Why you little piece of…” Sango stopped forward. “You nearly kill me, and won't tell me why because you think it's a stupid question! Is that about right?”
“You're a smart one aren't you. Now get away fro…” SLAP!
“Sango!” Kagome watched as the girl raised her hand again. It was caught mid-swing.
“How did you…?” Kagome started.
“You said I could defend my self, and I am,” Inuyasha explained heatedly.
“When did I? That's right I did, but Sango's right. I never told you to kill her!”
“You told me to protect you girl and the easiest way to protect someone, or yourself, is to eliminate the threat.” His eyes turned back to Sango. “And considering you just attacked me…” He let his words hang in the air as his eyes locked with Sango's. “I can defend myself.”
Sango gasped in understanding and tried to free her wrist
“Don't hurt her.” The way he was looking at Sango made it clear he was pissed. “That's an order. Now let her go.”
Sango felt the pressure leave her hand but… “She said you had to let go too! Now let go!” She gave a tremendous tug but was surprised when she didn't meet any resistance. She landed roughly on her behind.
“Keh! Letting you go wasn't part of the order.”
“Yes it was! I told you it was an order!“ Kagome yelled back while helping Sango to her feet.
“No. You said `Don't hurt her. That's an order.' Therefore, the rest of what you said was only a demand.”
“B-but, you knew what I was implying!” She snapped back.
“What you imply, and what you order, are two different things.” He watched with mild satisfaction as Kagome's mouth opened two, or three, times before shutting.
“Kagome if that's the only problem…” a sly smirk spread across Sango's face as she dragged Kagome out of Inuyasha's hearing range.
(Five minuets later…)
Kagome and Sango returned to the clearing to find Inuyasha in the same position they'd left him.
“Oh, Inuuuu-yaaasha!!! I have some orders for you.” A large smile spread across both of their faces.
“Well let get started. First…”
