Ok everyone! Sorry for the delay but I had some trouble with this one…its not the best chapter I’ve written but I still hope you enjoy it1 ^.^

Chapter 3: Rin, hand me the phone….
When they pulled up to the one story house, Kagome immediately noticed a black blob on the front porch. She ran up to it and let out a laugh, realizing it was her duffle bag with a little note with it: you forgot this; it said.
Kagome heaved the bag's strap on her shoulder, and followed Rin and Sesshomaru into the house. Almost immediately after they stepped over the threshold, Rin began to drag Kagome all over the house, showing her everything and anything.
Later that night, Kagome and Rin were seated on the floor. Kagome was doing what any new mother would do; get to know their daughter. They sat on kagome’s temporary makeshift bed, since the guest room was under repair, and chatted away like they were the best of friends.
“so, what’s your favorite food?” Kagome asked as she ran a brush through Rin’s silky black hair.
Rin looked up at kagome and then down to her newly painted nails,” um….chicken and noodles taste good.”
Kagome looked up at Rin, she seemed nervous somehow. She gave Rin a reassuring smile and moved on to her next question. “what do you like to do?” Kagome put a ponytail in Rin’s hair and then handed her the brush.
“hm…well I like to go for walks with daddy, oh and play lots of games!” Rin laughed and looked at kagome, “what do you like to do?”
“well I LOVE walks and I do like to play, my brother and I play all the time.”
“really?!” Rin asked excitedly, brushing through Kagome’s raven hair.
Kagome laughed,” sure, you cant grow up too fast”
Rin tied up kagome’s hair in a long ponytail. “can we play tomorrow?”
“of course!” Kagome cheered, bubbling with joy.
“lets go show daddy or makeovers!”
Kagome nodded and the two girls went into the living room. “where is he?”
“I don’t know” Rin said. She went around the house and looked in all the rooms but found nothing. “I’m scared.”
“it’ll be okay” kagome whispered. “ does he have a cell phone?”
“uh-huh” Rin dragged kagome into the kitchen and pointed to a piece of paper tacked to the wall. Kagome picked up the phone and placed it to her ear. Her frown increased as it went to voicemail.
“is daddy going to be ok?” Rin asked, tears welling up in her eyes. “it’s ok” kagome cooed. “sit down and I’ll go make some dinner.”

Later that night, after putting Rin to bed, kagome called up Inuyasha ad that’s what led them to their current conversation.
“you mean he just disappeared?” Inuyasha asked, taking a sip of his coffee.
“yea I guess, but shouldn’t he have come back by now? Its already 11:30”
“yea h--”
“Inuyasha???” kagome asked.
Sesshomaru walked throught the front door. Oh kagome was furious now.
“where the fuck were you?!” Inuyasha yelled, jumping out from his seat.
“that is none of your business” Sesshomaru said flatly, placing his coat on the back of a chair.
“yes it is! Now where were you?!”
“if you’re so concerned, I had a business call”
Concerned?!? kagome thought. “concerned?! Like hell I was concerned!”
Sesshomaru looked at his future wife. She was wearing black shorts, a white tank top, and purple fuzzy slippers. Her nails were her favorite acid green nail polish and her hair was up in a side ponytail. how embarrassing. He thought.
He looked at her again with confusion. “this Sesshomaru needs not to inform you.”
“what!” kagome was fuming. She stomped up to him and poked him in the chest. “well, that Sesshomaru needs to trust this kagome! We were worried! Do you know what you did to Rin?!”
Sesshomaru was more confused that ever. Rin, what did I do to her?
“she was worried sick and on the verge of tears the whole night cause she didn’t know where her own father was! She’s only eight ya know!”
Kagome’s eyes flared, but she wasn’t done yet. “maybe if you got rid of that stick shoved up your ass you would take other people’s feelings into consideration, this wouldn’t have happened! All cause you couldn’t take two seconds from your life to tell someone where the hell you were going!”
Kagome ran past Sesshomaru and out the door, muttering a slue of curses that would have made Inuyasha proud.
Inuyasha on the other hand, was staring blankly at the door. “she’s my hero” he whispered.
Sesshomaru glanced at Inuyasha before making his way out the door after kagome. Kagome had only made it out of the yard when Sesshomaru caught up to her. He grabbed her wrist. She stopped but didn’t turn around.
“kagome” Sesshomaru said sternly.
Kagome stood her ground, her back still facing him.
“god dammit kagome!”
“what Sesshomaru?!” kagome snapped, turning around.
“what do you mean by what? I want to know what’s wrong with you.”
“you want to know?” kagome barked, tears in her eyes. “ do you know what you’re doing to her?”
Sesshomaru let off a confused look.
“Rin is afraid of every woman that walks into your life! She worried that they’re gonna convince you to send her away to some boarding school and she’s never gonna see you again!”
Sesshomaru frowned. Had he really affected her that much?
Kagome’s voice started to get lower,” I just want to be a good mother, I don’t want her to be afraid anymore.”
Sesshomaru sat down and pulled kagome into his lap as if she were a child. “shhhh….” he whispered.

“and kagome starts the flame!” Inuyasha called into a tape recorded as he watched kagome sit in his brothers lap outside. “will she melt the ice or will the ice prince become a demon popsicle?”
“you’re crazy” kagome said walking inside alongside Sesshomaru.
Inuyasha jumped, he didn’t even see them come inside.
“goodnight” kagome called as she went to Rin’s room”
“what are you still doing here?” Sesshomaru asked, glaring evily at Inuyasha.
“I guess I should get going, huh?” Inuyasha quickly turned on his heel and left out of the house.
Sesshomaru sat down on the couch and put his feet on the coffee table. Was Rin really that worried? Why didn’t she tell me? Mmm…whats that smell?
He walked over to the kitchen and looked at the stove. Mmmm….chicken and noodles. Sesshomaru thought. “chicken and noodles?”
Kagomes scent filled the kitchen. Sesshomaru made himself a plate of food and then went to thank kagome. When Sesshomaru entered the room, they were asleep. Kagome was on the floor with Rin curled up right next to her. Rin actually like her. she’s so young. he thought. Age aside, Sesshomaru figured she would make a great mother.

The next morning Sesshomaru had a TV interview. This time he made sure he informed the still half asleep kagome before departing.
It was Saturday, which meant Kagome and Rin didn’t have school. After breakfast, the two girls sat in front of the TV to watch Sesshomaru’s interview. The whole morning kagome was trying to think of a way to get back at Sesshomaru for the stunt he pulled last night.
Rin began to clap as the hostess came on.
good morning and welcome. the woman began. now I would like to introduce our guest for today. Now give a warm welcome to Sesshomaru Takahashi of Takahashi Co.!
Rin and kagome cheered as Sesshomaru walked on stage. They both sat down and the woman began to talk.
So Mr.Takahashi, it’s been said that you are ingaged yet again, is it true?
Sesshomaru nodded, keeping his blank, boring gaze.
Kagome’s face brightened. A smirk rose on her face and she looked at Rin. “Rin, how smart is your father?”
“well I guess he’s pretty smart” Rin said confused.
“was he smart enough to turn his cell phone off this morning?”
Rin shrugged.” I don’t think so…”
Kagome looked at the TV screen and then back to Rin, with a devilish grin. “Rin, hand me the phone….”

Sesshomaru sat on stage, trying to make the current conversation as short as possible. Oh how he hated interviews. But today the gods did not agree with him, and his cell phone started ringing. Everyone in the audience stopped and stared at him.
“answer it” the hostess whispered.
Sesshomaru groaned and put the phone to his ear, “hello?”
Hey honey! kagome’s squealing voice filled the room.
“its his fiancé!” the hostess announced to the audience.
“what do you need?” Sesshomaru asked, irritated.
Cant I just say hi?

Back at the house, Rin and kagome where almost dying from laughter.
I’m busy. came Sesshomaru’s voice.
Kagome cracked up as she saw his face on the TV, she would be dead for this later but it was all worth it.
“wait honey, Rin wants to talk to you.”
Rin was shy at first but then took the phone.

Hi daddy! Rin piped.
The audience went silent.
“you have a daughter?” the hostess whispered.
“what is it Rin?” Sesshomaru asked.
“Rin? That’s a cute name!” The hostess squeaked along with the audience.
Daddy I miss you.
Everyone went “aww…..” except for Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru does not aw.
“ I miss you too, now is that all?” he asked agitated.
Yep
“bye”
Bye daddy
Sesshomaru hung up the phone and looked up. Everyone was staring at him.
“oh my god! She’s too cute!!!” the hostess squealed.
Sesshomaru groaned in annoyance. Kagome was dead meat later.
Another chapter finished!!! Yay!!! Ok everyone, I want to know what you think!! don’t hold back, tell me what need to be better. But NO FLAMING!!!
