Kanaye: Hey people! I am getting right onto the next chapter!!! I don't feel like bringing in the characters right now…. Thanks again for all who reviewed! Please keep it coming I need those reviews! I'm not asking for like a movie critic thing, just saying like when you finish reading, take a couple seconds to put in some feedback because without it…. *pretends to slice throat with finger dramatically* you get the picture! HA ha ha ha ok I am just gonna start writing now!!! Oh and I don't own any of the Inuyasha characters so don't go crazy, just deal! Here is chappie 6 enjoy!!

Chapter 6: A little too much to drink…

Everyone sat and watched as the door closed behind Kaede. Kagome stood up and walked over to the large window. Her head was down and her right hand was on the window. Her bangs covered her eyes as she stood eerily silent until…

"How long- how long have you all known about this?" She said quietly. No one answered.

"Is that why you all became my friends then? Because I had some stupid jewel? What about you Inuyasha- you said you were following me that day. Did you save me or were you trying to save the jewel?" She looked up at everyone with tears streaming down her cheeks. "I was such a fool to think that people would want to be my friends just for being me." She said in such a tone that they couldn't tell if she was talking to them or herself.

Inuyasha stood up. "Kagome- it's true that I was following you because I had felt a strange aura coming from you. But I saved you because I cared about YOU. I cared about your safety!"

Kagome scowled. "Inuyasha you didn't even know me yet! How could you have harbored feelings of care towards a total and complete stranger?"

"I don't know Kagome I just did! I wanted to save you!"

"Kagome, we honestly hadn't sensed your powers until you were leaving at the club." Said Miroku quietly.

"Oh Kagome!! We wanted to know you because of you not because of your powers!" cried Rin as she ran over to Kagome and hugged her.

"It's true Kagome! We would never befriend someone just for a hunk of polished rock!!" Said Sango. Kagome laughed a little at that.

Rin pulled back from her hug. "See? There ya go! Smile! Laugh! This isn't a bad thing ya know!"

"And how am I supposed to protect this thing? I'm not strong enough for this- I'm just plain old Kagome." Kagome said.

"Well, for one thing, Kaede will show you how to use your powers, but you will never be alone in protecting this. We all," Sango indicated to the group sitting in the room. "are fighters. You may protect the jewel, but we will protect you!!" she said. Kagome looked a little confused. "I am a demon slayer- right now there aren't many demon's to slay, but I have a feeling there will be soon." Said Sango.

"I didn't know there were still demon slayers around in this time- no offense." Said Kagome.

"No offense taken, and technically there aren't. My family's history goes way back though, and I was trained by them before they were murdered." She said.

"I come from a long line of monks. I have a family curse in my right hand. Kaede helps me to disguise it, but if I do not destroy its creator someday, it may overtake me." Said Miroku.

"Don't talk like that Miroku, we will get that damned Naraku and no more innocent lives will be taken." Kagome noted how Sango practically recoiled at his name.

"Naraku?" said Kagome.

Inuyasha walked over to Kagome. "Naraku has personally destroyed all of our lives, in one way or another. He gave Miroku's family the curse. He killed Sango's entire family. He set his minions upon Rin's parents. He killed Sesshomaru and mine's mother and father. And who knows how many other innocent lives he has taken." He finished.

"How can he? Why? Oh I'm so sorry everyone." Said Kagome running to Inuyasha.

"All he needs is the jewel to destroy our world. That is why we need to make sure it does not fall into his hands." Said Miroku.

"So what about you Inuyasha? And Rin and Sesshomaru? What kind of fighting or powers do you have?" asked Kagome.

"Well, I am a half demon and I have my sword Tetsusaiga. Sesshomaru on the other hand is all demon and has a sword that can heal, but that wont do any good in battle- only his personal strength. And Rin….." Inuyasha was cut off by Rin herself.

"Well, I just happened to have acquired some powers now you guys!" She said matter-of-factly.

"What? And you didn't tell me??" said Sango.

"I was going to, seriously I was, but now just seems like a better time." She took a deep breath. "Well I used to have no powers, but….. me and Sesshomaru are…. We….."

"Are now mates." Finished Sesshomaru.

"And I sort of got some of his strength…… watch this." Rin started to glow white and everyone watched as two streaks of red appeared on each cheek and she suddenly had claws similar to Sesshomaru. She grinned nervously.

"Ah, if only Sango and I could mate as you did Sesshomaru." Said Miroku.

"Sorry babe, but we're human. You're gonna have to live with just sex." Said Sango casually.

Miroku perked up a little bit. "And that is good enough for me!"

Kagome turned to Inuyasha. "Inuyasha- did you mean what you said earlier, about wanting to save me and not the jewel?" She said quietly as she looked down at her feet. Inuyasha turned her chin gently so that she had to look him straight in the eyes. "Of course." He kissed her lightly. Kagome melted. Sango watched everyone.

"Aaaaaaaaaaw this is perfect!!! Rin and Sesshomaru mated, Inuyasha and Kagome in love…."

Both Inuyasha and Kagome went red. They both started sort of stuttering excuses and it sounded sort of like, "….w-what? Love, no I dunno, yes, I mean….. it's a little soon, but…. I mean well, it's just like ……" And so on and so forth until Sango put up her hands. "Take it easy, I was just commenting on what I saw…."

Rin looked out the window and noticed how dark it was. "Hey Sango, what are you doing about the club tonight?" She said.

"Oh, don't worry, I called in some other people to maintain it. I wanted a night off." Sango glanced at the clock. "Oh my god! It's already 7:08! Alright guys, time for you all to go into Miroku's apartment! Rin, Kagome, and I have SO much to do!" she said as she ushered them out. Rin stood up the kissed Sesshomaru. "Night!" She said. Sango kissed Miroku and when she pulled away…. "Miroku, it is just one night without me! Now will you get your hand off my butt?" she said.

"Ah, but one night can seem an eternity- goodnight my fair Sango." He said dramatically.

"Alright Inuyasha, I promise she will still be here in the morning." Sango said indicating to Kagome. Inuyasha gave her one last kiss and walked out. Sango closed the door and pretended to brush her hands off.

"Rin- popcorn, ice cream, and our specialty- stat." Sango gave a small wink at specialty. "I, am going to get the movies, Kagome- wanna come?" Kagome nodded and followed Sango down the hall into what was obviously Rin's room. Sango turned to Kagome.

"Kagome, are you okay? I know this was all a lot to take in at once."

"I'm fine. Well no, I'm not fine- I'm sort of shocked, but otherwise, I think I will be able to get through this." She said with a smile. `Especially with Inuyasha by your side…' she thought.

"Okay, well I guarantee that you will have a good time tonight! Let's pick out some movies!" Sango said happily. The girls picked out some movies from a shelf and then came back to the Living room where Rin had put out a lot of pillows and a bunch of snacks. To start out they watched Moulin Rouge, then they lightened the mood with Saving Silverman, and they ended off with A Walk to Remember where they all bawled their eyes out. Kagome nearly downed an entire container of cookie dough ice cream and Rin went through a whole box of tissues.

Sango sniffled a little bit as she shut the dvd player off. Then she turned to her friends. "Well, I thought we could mix things up a bit……." She trailed off as she pulled off a couch cushion and pulled up a small latch. She pulled a bottle of wine out and went into the kitchen bringing back 3 fancy looking glasses. Sango and Rin grinned. "It's our private stash." Said Rin. All three girls took a pillow and sat on the ground. Sango filled all 3 glasses and handed them around. Rin tapped her head thoughtfully for a moment and then raised her glass, Sango and Kagome copying her actions.

"A toast, to our new friend Kagome!" She said. Kagome smiled and everyone cheered their glasses, taking at first, a light sip of the wine. Sango got excited. "Ooh ooh! I have one! Okay, here is to Rin and Sesshomaru mating!" She said. Everyone once again the sound of clinking glasses was made heard and they all drank, but just a bit more then then the first time. Rin hugged Sango and Kagome spoke up.

"So about the mating- I don't really understand it that much…. What exactly is it?" she asked.

"Mating is sort of like marriage but for demons or half demons- and a lot more final. It bonds the partners together for the rest of their lives. It symbolizes devoting yourself to that person- loving them, protecting them, and belonging to them forever. There is also a mark that the partners make on each other. Often times, the partners will gain each other's abilities and there are many odd connections that can happen. Me and Sesshomaru's is that we can sense each other's feelings. And like I showed you earlier, I sort of took on some of his traits." Explained Rin.

"Can I see the mark?" asked Kagome.

"Yah! I wanna see it!" Said Sango. Rin tugged her shirt lightly and revealed a couple inches deeper on her chest, revealing a small scar that curved slightly upward over her left breast.

"If anyone sees me they will no that I am untouchable!" Rin said happily. "I love him so much. I don't know what I would do without him." Her friends smiled at her. "Well enough about me! I have another toast- here is to Inuyasha and Kagome, a new romance that could lead to who knows what!" For the third time everyone raised their glasses, but this time everyone took quite a large swig of the wine…

30 minutes later……

All three girls were swaying around unstably and laughing so hard they thought their guts would burst. Their glasses lay a few feet away and Rin was holding the wine bottle. Kagome held up her hands as to stop something from moving.

"Wa-wa-wa-wa-wait, wait, I have theeee best toast…. Ok ok, here is to the treeeeeeeees!!!!" All three girls burst out laughing and Kagome grabbed the wine bottle and took another enormous swig. Her voice was lulled and dragging. "Ya, ya know what? I love him- I love Inuyasha-!" she stood up and started twirling around. "I LOVE INUYASHA!!!!" she fell to the ground and handed the bottle to Sango.

"K- hic- kagome, you are HILARIOUS!!!! But I," she pointed to herself. "I have something funnier than trees." She positioned herself on her knees and giggled to herself. "LEAVES!!!" she spat out. Once again they all erupted with laughter. Rin grabbed the bottle of wine this time and took a big drink. "HA! T-top that!" she said. Sango took the bottle from her and took an even larger drink. Then Kagome took it and she stood on the coffee table and chugged. Rin and Sango were chanting "CHUG CHUG CHUG!!!" as Kagome tossed her head back and then took the bottle down and put her fist in the air victoriously, having finished the entire bottle. She tripped her way off the table and attempted to high-five Sango, but they both missed and Sango hit the ground in exhaustion. Kagome looked over and saw that Rin was shadowing Sango's position on the ground. She emitted a few more giggles and then she sort of passed out. Kagome dropped the bottle on the ground and realized she had to go to the bathroom- bad. She stumbled over to the front door, not really realizing where she was going. She tried the door to the left of her and found herself in a hallway. She walked into a large room on her left that had a large red bed with a lump in it…. She found a wall and walked her way to another opening. Feeling for a light switch she realized… .YES it was a bathroom. She closed the door and did her business, not realizing that the lump in the bed was waking up. She finished up and flung herself out of the door. That's when she saw a tip of a head. Inuyasha sat up in bed to see Kagome scantly clad in her pajamas and walking towards him.

"Kagome? What are y-?" He didn't get to finish his sentence as Kagome crawled on top of him and pressed her lips against his. She was warm but he could tell she had been drinking.

"Take me Inuyasha!" she giggled softly. She dove back in for more kissing. Inuyasha pushed her away slightly.

"Kagome- you're drunk."

She moaned like a little kid. "So whaAaAaAt….."

"Come on, I'll take you back to Sango and Rin." Kagome choked on laughter and walked her fingers up his bare chest.

"That won't really do any good seeing as they are passed out because they are DRUNK!" she whispered.

"Kagome, so are you. You're drunk and you don't know what you're doing." Said Inuyasha struggling between kisses.

Kagome sat up. "Why does everyone keep telling me that?" She whined. "Come on Inuyasha, you know you want me." She said putting on a sexy face. `Why did she have to be drunk to be saying this?' thought Inuyasha. Any other man would have taken advantage of having a beautiful woman all over him in the middle of the night, but Inuyasha was not any guy. Inuyasha was just about to answer when he heard a light snore coming from next to him. He smiled to himself as he saw her innocently passed out on his bed. He shifted her weight off of him and put her under the covers. He was still in the bed. `I'll just go out to the couch and sleep, I'm just gonna rest my eyes for a minute though….' He thought to himself right before his energy ran out and he fell asleep still next to Kagome……..

Kagome opened her eyes and blinked. She saw the morning rays on the red bedding…. WAIT! Red bedding??? Kagome suddenly realized the presence of a strong and warm arm over her body. She tried to put two and two together…. Now what happened that night. Her head was spinning. She was in her pajamas with Inuyasha pressed up next to her, after a night she was drunk, which could only mean…… `What DID I DO?!?'
