Kanaye: HEY YA'LL! I'm back and more then ready to start writing again! Sorry it took so long to update. And don't worry- if you didn't read the lime, all that was explained will be recapped and you won't be left in the dust! Now on with the story!!!

Chapter 10: Recollections and dangerous dating

"Kagome?" asked a timid voice. Kagome snapped out of her daze and looked up at her friend. She was still in her bed and the sun's rays had put her into a sleep while she was awake. Sango and Rin were sitting on her bed, looking at her concernedly.

"Huh, what?" she responded stupidly.

"It's ok if you don't want to talk about it. I understand." Said Sango.

"Yah. No matter what we are here for you though." Added Rin.

"Thanks you guys. But I will tell you. I think that I might even feel better if I tell you about it." Kagome took a deep breath. "The night was going great. Inuyasha made it one of the most romantic nights of my life. Unfortunately, I don't think that is why I will remember it…" she trailed off sadly. Sango put a hand on Kagome's shoulder and Rin looked like she was going to cry. Kagome continued on though. "Well, we were walking back to Inuyasha's car and- and I felt like I was being watched. Next thing I know, I'm being whisked away by some creep and he takes me onto the roof. I could still see Inuyasha below, but the lighting didn't allow him to see me. I couldn't shout out to him, because he had a hand over my mouth. Whoever had me somehow knew my name. He tried to feel me up so I punched him in his balls. He reacted by hitting me so hard on the face that I was sent flying off the edge of the roof. I remember my face hurting a lot and then I hit, what I think was Inuyasha's car, and I was knocked out. Everything went black. What happened then I don't know. How much time passed- I have no idea. The next thing I knew I was waking up to a dark room. I couldn't see a thing and I couldn't move at all. My arms and legs were bound by something and no matter how hard I struggled, they only tightened. I called out to see if anyone was there. There were footsteps and then the lights went up. He said something about me not wanting to miss the fun." She literally hissed out the words. "I asked him who he was and what he wanted with me. For some reason he addressed Inuyasha as though he was there, telling him to listen well. That's when he told me everything." She pushed a piece of hair behind her ear nervously and continued. "He sensed my aura when I was younger and decided to get rid of me. He," she tried to steady her breath. "he was the one who crashed into us that night. The night my father was killed while driving me to the hospital. Police had said that it was my father's fault! They tried to put the blame on him!" she shouted angrily. Her fist tightened into a ball at her side in fury and she felt Sango's grip tighten on her shoulder. "They said that the other driver was killed on impact. He must have pulled something. My family was forced legally to pay the fines and it left us with next to nothing. Well he said that since he didn't kill me, he would try to let the pain of loss kill my spirit, and crush my spiritual powers. It almost worked too. Until I moved after my mother died. He lost track of me. But a month ago when my powers were uncovered by Kaede, he was able to find me again. And he realized who I was with. All of you and Inuyasha. And that gave me a common bond with you. He made a plan to steal the jewel, but not before inflicting some more pain on me." Kagome paused for a moment.

"Kagome- who was this guy?" asked Rin quietly. Intaking a shaky breath Kagome continued.

"Naraku." She said coldly. Rin stood up in protest and Sango gripped Kagome's shoulder so tight, that Kagome thought it would be ripped off. "Don't get to angry yet. There's more." Kagome said. Although they girl's looked as though they were ready to tear heads off, they calmed down enough to hear the rest of their friend's ordeal.

Kagome gathered all of her strength emotionally before continuing. Her chest heaved loudly. "He started touching me. He ripped my shirt off. I struggled. It didn't work. I was losing strength from the struggle. I tried to shock him with my energy. He hit me. I didn't have the strength to do it again. He continued on. I will never forget the feeling of him on me. Touching me. Tasting me." She shuddered in disgust, simply recalling the event. "He said a comment to Inuyasha again, even though he wasn't there. I struggled again, but I was defenseless and hopeless. He moved lower. I begged for mercy. He hit me more. He took off my skirt. He cut me. I cried. He didn't stop. He nearly gagged me. I kept begging so he hit me again. Then… then…." Kagome wavered in her statement before completely breaking down into her friends. "Oh god Sango he took me! And, and I couldn't do anything!!! I waited my whole life!!! And he just took it away!!! And he hurt me so badly and no one was there! I was alone!!!" she choked on her sobs and buried her head in Sango. Rin and Sango hugged Kagome tightly and smoothed her hair, trying to calm her down. They tried to be calm themselves, even though there was a flame of hate that had never escalated before that would not be put out over time. Revenge was not good enough. After a few minutes Kagome slowly moved her head up, wiping away her tears and then tried to continue, although her voice was cracked. "Inuyasha came then. Right then after he," she couldn't even bring herself to say the name. "was in me. Inuyasha shattered Nara- you know who's- arm, but he disappeared. Inuyasha had never looked so angry and I know he did all he could to get to me as fast as possible. He picked me up and took me home, but not before Naraku left his voice to wave his crime in front of Inuyasha. Forunately, Naraku didn't get the jewel." She felt a wave of personal strength wash over her voice. "If Inuyasha hadn't come when he did, I probably would have been killed, and would have failed in protecting the jewel. Inuyasha swore that he would kill Naraku but I told him not to. I am going to do that. I am going to do it slowly and painfully. And I will make sure that he knows that it's me who killed him." Her voice rang with determination. Sango and Rin were still attached to Kagome.

"Kagome- I don't know what to say. I am so sorry. You must be really strong to be able to relive it after not even 24 hours." Said Rin solemnly.

"What can I say- I've gone through a lot of shit in my life. Being battered and raped in the same night. That's a first. Even though, it's not like I didn't have previous experience in one of the two." Kagome said scornfully. Her friends eyes widened in shock.

"What? This has happened to you before???" asked Sango, practically raging. Kagome shook her head.

"No. Just the beating part. Remember how I told you about my old boyfriend? When I said he left me scarred, I didn't mean just emotionally ya know. But that's a completely different case, which I have tried to close over the years." Kagome finished.

"Kagome- we will be here for you always. I promise that no one will ever hurt you again. Not ever." Said Sango quietly.

"I'm so sorry Kagome. I feel horrible." Said Rin.

"Don't. It's not your fault. There was nothing you could have done, and you just listening to me and being my friend- I couldn't ask for more from you." Said Kagome reassuringly. She embraced both of her friends in heartfelt hugs before pulling away and moving her head to the empty doorway.

"Inuyasha- if you are going to lurk in my doorway, you should at least learn to do it more discreetly." Said Kagome, quickly becoming her old self again. Inuyasha partially stepped into the room looking serious as ever though. Sango and Rin exchanged glances before getting up.

"I think we better go now. We will talk more later Kagome." Said Rin.

"And we are also going to talk LONG and HARD to you." Said Sango to Inuyasha narrowing her eyes as she passed him on her way out. When it was just Inuyasha and Kagome, Inuyasha closed the door softly and walked over to Kagome.

"You never told me about your old boyfriend." He said quietly.

"You never asked." Said Kagome. Inuyasha sat down and caught her in a tight embrace, slightly shocking her. He buried his face in her hair.

"I'm so sorry Kagome. I can never forgive myself. How could I let this happen to you?" he said aloud.

"How much of the conversation did you hear?" she asked weakly.

"All of it. Hearing you have to say those words- to have had to been through that at all- it kills me." He said. "It was even worse then…." He stopped.

"Worse than what Inuyasha?" asked Kagome. Inuyasha pulled away and looked at the wall, then straight into her eyes.

"I need to tell you everything that happened. It won't make me feel any better, but at least- at least you would know." Kagome nodded her approval and he continued. "After you hit the car, I tried to go after the guy, but he grabbed you and ran off. He left this." Inuyasha pulled the now blank screen of the mirror like object, out of his pocket where he had left it last night. "It allowed me to hear and," he paused. "see, everything that happened."

"E-e-everything?" stuttered Kagome. Inuyasha nodded before Kagome burst into tears again. She tried to lean into Inuyasha, but he lightly pushed her away.

"No, Kagome I don't deserve you. I was too weak. There was a barrier, and it took me too long to break it and I wasn't able to stop him! Don't you see? I was too weak to protect you!" he said. His tone practically split Kagome's heart in half. She saw rogue tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Don't you dare walk away from me Inuyasha! I love you and you are everything to me! I need you Inuyasha! I love you." She cried hoarsely as she threw herself into him and held on tight. He looked shocked at her before he pulled her as close as humanly possible to himself. "I can't stand to know that he hurt you Kagome. How could you love me when I let that happen?"

"It's not your fault! I was the one who was weak- not you! I don't care what happens Inuyasha! I love you and that's all that matters!" she sobbed. "I will never stop loving you! Not ever!" she buried her face into his chest and mumbled into him. "I love you so much… so much…." She lifted her head and before she knew it they had their lips pressed tightly against each other- passion burning- wildly touching. Never closer.

"Promise me- that you- will never leave me." Gasped Kagome between kisses.

"Never." He whispered. With that they lost themselves in each other's touch, not ever breaking the physically contact.

Slowly, Sango closed the door, a huge grin on her face, before turning to Rin who mirrored her image.

"I think we better leave these two alone." Said Sango with a wink. They walked down the hall and back to Rin's apartment. "I feel sort of bad."

"I know! All those horrible things that happened to Kagome- Naraku- rrr, that bastard is going down!" said Rin angrily.

"Well yes that too- but I sort of had a date for tonight and I don't know if I should go or not." Said Sango.

"Oooooooh- I don't think Kagome will mind. Hell I don't even think she will notice, since Inuyasha and her are getting so intimate in there." Said Rin.

"I guess so. Will you tell her that I'm sorry?" asked Sango.

"Sure! Bring your cell in case he turns out to be a creep, or if I need you back here, okay?" Sango nodded right as Sesshomaru came in followed by Miroku.

"Do you know what happened yet?" asked Miroku quietly. Rin nodded. Sango got up and walked out of the room.

"Bye Rin, see you later tonight." She said before disappearing. Miroku scowled.

"She can't even stand to be in the same room as me." He said. Sesshomaru ignored his friend and went to his girlfriend.

"Tell us what happened." Rin took a deep breath before starting up.

Kagome looked down at the man beneath her.

"I love you." She said happily.

"Mmm." Was her only response.

"You kiss well too." Giggled Kagome. It was nightfall by now. "We've been in here for hours!"

"Mmm." She kissed him again.

"Come one, let's see what the rest of the world is doing." She tried to get up but Inuyasha pulled her back.

"MmmmMmMm." He whined at her, holding her tighter.

"I can't stay here forever ya know."

"Yes you can." He mumbled at her. Kagome sighed and decided to wait to move for a moment. She rested her head on Inuyasha's chest and settled herself down. That when she heard the voices coming down the hall.

"I'm worried about Sango." Said a voice who Kagome identified as Miroku.

"Well don't be. She is out on a date." Said Rin. Miroku grunted.

"Why is she dating? She isn't allowed to date." He said angrily.

"You see Miroku? It was that kind of thing that broke you up in the first place. And you could be dating too." Kagome could feel Miroku glaring at Rin.

"Touchy, touchy. Just trying to make a point ya know."

"What do I care anyway? She can just go ahead and date the toilet for all I care. I don't care in any way who she is out with." Miroku said self satisfactily.

"Good." Said Rin. There was a silence.

"So who is she out with?" said Miroku lowly.

"Some guy she met the other day." Said Rin casually.

"Name? I need information here!"

"I thought you didn't care." Teased Rin.

"I lied, now tell me!" he gritted.

"Calm down. I think his name was Kouga."

Kagome froze and her eyes widened. She felt like a ton of icy bricks just hit her in the face. Inuyasha felt her tense immensely.

"What is it Kagome?" They both sat up.

"Oh god…." She said.

"What Kagome?"

"That name…. Sango…. Oh god…"

"What???" asked Inuyasha more urgently. Kagome jumped up from the bed and flung the door open, running into the kitchen to see Miroku and Rin leaning casually on the bar, Inuyasha at her heels.

"What the hell is going on Kagome?!?" asked Inuyasha.

"What is it Kagome?" asked Rin.

"Kagome, are you feeling alright?" asked Miroku carefully.

"I'm fine, but Sango won't be!!!" she yelled.

"Sango? What about Sango? Is she in danger?"

"Yes!!! Rin, remember my abusive boyfriend???" Rin nodded, a little scared to answer the histerical Kagome.

"His name was Kouga!!!" It took a moment before Rin got the blow.

"Oh god….. WHAT DO WE DO??"

"Abusive boyfriend?? What? I'm lost!" said Miroku helplessly.

"DAMNIT MIROKU STOP WASTING TIME! THE MAN THAT SANGO IS OUT WITH IS DANGEROUS! Rin do you know where they are? When was the last time you talked to Sango?" Kagome said urgently.

"I called her cell repeatedly but she didn't answer. I didn't think much of it, but now it seems a lot worse." Said Rin as fast as she could. She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket. This was in her room. It's his address." Kagome grabbed the piece of paper.

"Miroku, Inuyasha- you have to save her!! I couldn't stand it if she got hurt especially not by him!" she cried desperately. She looked up to see that Miroku had already grabbed the paper and was gone out the door.

"I would come with you Inuyasha, but I just don't think I could handle seeing him…." She said weakly.

"It's okay." With that Inuyasha took off after Miroku to save Sango.
