Author's Note: Hallo! I'm back and I've got more for y'all to read. I just finished a bowl of strawberry cheesecake flavored ice cream so I'm kinda hyper at the moment. (Sugar!^,^) Oh and I just got off work, too. And just to make you more eager to read this a very familiar and forboding character will join us in this chapter. Dun dun duuun (Can you guess who? You should know.)

 

 

 

 

Chapter 4~Unrequited Rage~

 

 

Early That Morning.......

Kate and Jessica were up and ready before even Lord Sesshoumaru. Many of the youkai that joined him in breakfast were staring at the girls as they ate competively. Some of them began making bets on who would collaspe first. A cold glare from Sesshoumaru put this to a stop.

The swordsmaster was waiting outside for them afterward. His seagreen hair and cerulean blue eyes made the weakest of youkai females feel weak. His sharp features stunned even the most strongest of youkai males and made them jealous of his courtesy to women.

"Jessica, Kate, this is Kyo, your teacher," Sesshoumaru told them.

Kyo nodded to both girls, setting his piercing eyes on Kate. Her heart beat faster. Jessica could sense a disturbance within her friend.

"Today you will learn to wield a sword, and as you progress to a higher level you will get swords of your own," he said to them, still with his eyes on Kate.

He could sense the anxiousness of fighting built up in the girls. He handed each a sword.

"Follow my movements."

He took his own sword out of its sheath and began to swing it and bring it down saying each position as he did so. Kate and Jessica did as they were told. To anyone watching it was like a dance. A deadly beautiful dance that is. The blades cut through the air making a sheening sound. Both girls seemed as if they could bring any man down to their knees. Sesshoumaru watched, slightly amused at how they copied. Perhaps I should have Totosai make a sword out of their fang, they should have enough power to make a formidable sword, he mused within his mind. Kyo signaled he needed to stop and Sesshoumaru nodded to allow him to.

"Nicely done," Kyo said to them. "I will inform Sesshoumaru when your next lesson is to begin."

He left with the swords to his room. Sesshoumaru had left with a messenger that brought news of Naraku. With anger abated from both friends they sat against the outside wall.

"Sorry about last night, I just was angry at you for missing dinner," Kate apologized.

"All is forgiven."

They suddenly sensed a forboding presence outside the wall. The two friends stood up. The feeling of the aura brought back foul memories that haunted their nightmares.Yet the smell of a hanyou came to them.

"I don't like this scent at all," Kate said to Jessica as she looked up at the edge of the wall.

"It's a hanyou, but how the hell can a hanyou's aura feel this strong?"

"Let's leave, I don't feel comfortable here anymore."

"Sure. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere around here, especially with that presence."

Naraku had tried to get as close as he could to them but all was lost when he found the barrier to be powerful.

"Only the best from Lord Sesshoumaru, he would make sure I would not be able to sneak in," Naraku said to himself.

He left the area where he slew one of Sesshoumaru's men and retreated to his own castle.

"I will just have to wait till he allows them to venture outside his walls. Then I will get them."

The news of the murdered guard upset Sesshoumaru. So he has made it apparent he wants to get to them, I have to wait till the time is right to allow them to come out. He stayed in his study and confronted several of the guards about this. Rumour spread fast, reaching the ears of the Inu-youkai princesses.

"He'll never tell me anything, he doesn't like me. But I bet he'll tell you who this forboding spirit is. I think he may like you," Kate tried to convince her.

"I don't know."

"C'mon."

"Okay, Okay. I'll ask him."

Jessica got up and retreated from her spot by the scrolls in the library. She grumbled all the way to his study. She knocked gently.

"Come in," Sesshoumaru replied as he was reading a scroll.

Jessica slipped in and sat on the cushion.

"I take it you want to question me on Naraku."

Jessica nodded.

"Me and my friend felt him nearby today. His presence troubles our spirits," she told him.

"He is hanyou, but he is powerful. I advise you to stay away from him. He will either absorb you into his body, as he had already attempted with me or he will use a jewel shard to control you and use you."

"Anything else I need to know about him?"

"I don't know anymore about him than that, that is why his presence troubles us all here."

"Then I will take my leave. Thank you for sharing that with me."

She got up and was about to slide open the door when Sesshoumaru called her name.

"Jessica, meet me under the sakura tree tomorrow night."

She left with a weird feeling in her gut. She inquired to Kate of what she had just learned of the troubling presence. Her and Kate were in the garden sitting amongst the flowers when dinner was called and they retreated to the inside of the cool castle. It wasn't until they were in the bathing house that they talked.

"I think Kyo likes you," Jessica said to her friend.

"Really?"

"Did you even see how intensely he was gazing at you?"

"No, not really."

Jessica splashed water from her hotspring at her friend. Kate splashed back. they were in a water fight until a few of the men came into the men's section of the bathing house. Deep laughter filled the quiet. The girls ceased for a moment then grinned. Time to cause a little chaos, Kate said to Jessica with her mind powers. Bowls of fruit sat on nearly every side of a spring. Jessica made them levitate over the wall separating the men's and women's section and pour the fruit on the victims on the other side. Dull thumping could be heard as well as the cursing of the men. The girls finished bathing quickly and rushed out to their rooms. When they were a safe distance away they burst out laughing.

"That is the most fun we've had in a while," Kate said to Jessica.

"Agreed."

They went into their rooms and changed into their kimonos for the night, but before they did so they talked like they used to in english so they couldn't be understood. About an hour later they saw several of the men walk by, rubbing their heads and backs. It took all of the girls's strength to hold in laughter. Later on they went to sleep. Sesshoumaru checked in on all of them while making his rounds.

 

 

Author's Note:Okay, I had to add some humor to an otherwise boring chapter. I got to admit my friend envies my ability to create humor in fanfics such as this. So good night. (I really need some sleep right now.)

 

 

Author's Note:Slight issue at hand at the moment. I'm going through a writer's block and now for entertainment purposes I'll put in another fanfic. Just for commercial reasons but if you love funny fanfics, you'll probably enjoy this. (Trust me, if you hate know-it-all Doctors that have their own show you'll love this. Mwuahahahahaha![Weird moment])
