Author's note: Ok I kinda skrewed up today because this my first time trying to put my fanfics on here. I'm a little new at this.

 

 

Chapter 1

The beginning

After traveling all around the world, the two Inu-youkaifound the perfect place to settle and raise their daughters.These two groups had joined longed ago during battle. Teaching their daughters all the current languages of the world allowed them to freely converse with other demons.

Settling deep in he wilds of Texas they built an underground palace in a thick forest so they have adequate shelter for the children at dire times.

Shunta, Kate's fatherhad lavender hair and royal purple eyes rimmed with gold. His grandmother was of japanese decent and had passed on his eyes to Kate. Kate Had the same features and was a slightly bit taller than her friend.

Kunata, Jessica's father, had deep blue eyes rimmed with silver and silver hair. jessica had the same eyes, however, her silver hair had soft pink tipping that she had inherited from her mother.

Kate's mother took care of the children and they rarely saw any humans. Nor did they feel like bothering the powerless creatures.

Niether of the girls had developed ther powers and an rumor was going around that a great Inu-taiyoukai was coming to form an alliance with their fathers.

They were outside training when they saw the strangely clad Inu-youkai arrive.They drew a sidelong glance from him as they trained in the forest.Their necklaces glinted in the dappled sunlight. Jessica's was wrought of silverand had light blue and pink stones set into the shape of a multi-colored star. It was thick like a dog collar. Kate's was wrought of gold with lavender and pastel green stones in the shape of the yinyang sign set into it.

Shunta and Kunata met with the taiyoukai and watched their daughters for a moment. It was then they stopped and noticed the stranger. They looked on in awe as their fathers led him into the palace to converse in the study chamber.

"Let's go spy on them," Jessica proposed.

"Much obligied, friend," was Kate's reply.

They snuck into their hidden tunnels that ran under every room. It was all hollow underneath since they put wood paneling about two feet above the cavern floor. This Kate and Jessica used to their advantage. After the girls had discovered this they carefully made trap doors. Now they were able to sneakout their rooms for a number of things. When they arrived under the study their fathers were learning to say the youkai's name.

"Inu no taishou, is it? Interesting, I've heard that name when I was yet a young pup," Shunta said humorously.

Kunata observed silently.

"Now what is it that you have come here for," asked Kunata.

"I wish to form an alliance," Inu no taishou told them.

"What is your reason," Shunta aske as well.

" As you have noticed there are few Inu-youkai that are powerful."

At this point Kate had hogged the eyehole for too long and Jessica began shoving her over to the side.

"It's my turn," she raged. Kate shoved her back and they began to fight. The men in the study heard the scrabbling underneath. Inu no taishou felt along the wood until he found the crack of the trap door. He intricately lifted up the door and and pulled out two fight worn pups. Their vivid eyes glared avidly at him.he laughed in good humor.

"My son is also mischievious. Yet Sesshoumaru has yet to meet you two to match for the trouble you cause," he commented. "They will make great warriors."

He put the two pups on the ground and they scampered to their fathers and hid behind them.Kunata and Shunta gave them stern looks. They withered under their fathers's glares. Then the two Inu-taiyoukai smiled. they agreed to ally with Inu no taishou.

A Few Months Later

Other lesser youkai were siphoning into their home. shunta's was overwhelmed and killed and fire was set to the wood in their home. The warriors of the combined Inu-youkai fought with valor.

"Father," called Kate as she ran to him. Jessica was swept up by her own.

The smell of fire was overpowering. They were taken to the furthest, safest spot. Shunta and Kunata took out two identical bracelets. One each went onto the girls's wrists. Kate's hair changed to a vivd red and her eyes were a mixture of blue, green, and orange. Jessica's hair changed to a brown color that shone mahogany and her silver rims disapeared. Their fathers looked on sadly as their demonic auras disappeared as well.

"You two will have to carry on our bloodlines," Shunta told them as the girls began to vanish.

The familiar surroundings disappeared and they were outside. the girls found found themselves on a dome of earth that was once te entrance to their home. A smell of many century old death seeped from the ground.

"They're dead, they're really dead," Kate said sadly.

" Let's find somewhere to stay. I know there might be humans around that would take care of us," Jessica told her, trying to comfort her.

They made their way to a lake where a large estate stood on the other side. A couple stood on the balcony staring at the two tiny specks moving at the edge of the lake.

"Cody go get your binoculars, I think those are children down there," Alana told him.

Cody rushed to his room and got them. He focused on the two girls.

"They are children! But we're miles from any city, and they're wearing.......deer skin dresses?"

The couple gave eachother questioning looks.

"Let's go get them and bring them here, we shouldn't leave them out there, Cody."

The couple rushed down to the dock to where they kept their speedboat.

"Uh, Kate, what's that noise," Jessica asked when she heard the roar of the speedboat.

"I don't know," Kate said as she rushed for forest.

Both girls hid as Cody and Alana slowed the boat down. Alana jumped down and gently walked close to the trees.

"It's okay, we're not gonna hurt you," she called softly to the children. "Cody, help!"

He turned off the boat. The girls came out cautiously.

"We'll take you to our home. And we have alot of food that you can eat," Cody said as if he was taunting a dog.

The girls allowed Alana to put them into the boat. When Cody started the boat, the girls rushed to the side and gripped it tightly. To this day there are small, child hand-shaped dents in the metal.
