Author's Note:Please don't be mad at me Kate. I hadn't gotten to insult in so long since you moved away. (Damn that old fart of a father you have! Grrr!) I'll try not to insult you again. I can't guarantee anything though. Now enough of talking to my best friend, I 'll promise it'll be a little more action packed and Jaken will be abused more. Muahahaha!^,^ I'm so evil to that little turd face. Sesshi finds Jessi and what will happen when he tries to get her back? I don't know, but she's still pretty pissed off. I'd hate to be her!

~We Meet Again~

Inuyasha stood behind Jessica watching her as she, Kaede and Shippou picked herbs for ailments in the village. Jessica had been given a hair tie so she could keep her hair out of her face as she worked. In the back her bun looked like a giant peppermint was stuck to her hair because it was swirled with pink and silver. The village children helped Kaede out as well.

Inuyasha was glaring at her intently, making sure she didn't do anything that she wasn't supposed to. Jessica gave him cold looks when she found him staring at her. She stood up and put her hands on her hips.

"What the hell is your problem, Dogbreath?"

"I won't be spoken to like that you half-pint-"

Inuyasha stopped mid-sentence and sniffed the air, then clenched a fist and growled. Jessica caught the scent, too. She too clenched her fist and closed her eyes to keep her tears hidden. Kaede noticed this.

"Child, what is wrong with thee?"

"N-nothing."

"Nay, you lie. Your voice quivers."

"I cannot speak it. I won't tell."

Kaede looked concerned.

"He's here for you, isn't he?"

Jessica looked up at Inuyasha.

"Just as I thought. Only thing I wonder is...that why my brother is chasing you."

"I wouldn't tell you anyway," Jessica screamed at him.

"I wonder what he did to make you so upset."

".............."

Silence prevailed. Sesshoumaru came walking up, glaring as he did so.

"So you have sided with the mutt. You are to return to my palace."

"Forget it. I'm not going back with you."

Kate came flying out and collided with Jessica and gave her a hug.

"Don't you ever leave me alone with him again. We could hardly track you down as it was!"

All the village children hid behind Kaede. Kaede walked with them away, nudging the younger to move faster.

"I'm not going back with you, you can forget it!"

"So, brother, what did you do to make this girl so upset that she doesn't want to go back, huh?"

"That is not for you to know half-breed."

"I'm gonna stay with my friend. I don't know what you did to her, but if she doesn't want to go back it must have been bad."

Kate could read her mind but Jessica kept it well blocked at the moment, not allowing even her best friend into her mind. She could feel betrayal and anger emanating from her as of the moment. Villagers had gone to the far off edges of the village so they wouldn't get hurt in case a fight broke out.

"You two do owe me your lives, I'm the one who saved you from death," Sesshoumaru said as he turned around and walked off.

Jessica bowed her head in defeat and followed him. Kate followed behind, trying to console her friend. It was without luck. Inuyasha stood there trying to comprehend what had just happened, then dismissed it nonchalantly.

"At least she's out my hair. For now at least."

For two days she stayed in her room. She didn't allow anyone in, not even Sesshoumaru. She had used her powers to crystalize the ceiling, walls and the floor so that no one could come in, especially Sesshoumaru. rumors were circulating that she had gone mad and died. But she was still alive. Rin had come her room as well. All of it was for naught. Two weeks had passed when Sesshoumaru had broke into her room.

"You need to be at the councils, your friend Kate is there."

Jessica didn't say anything, she just took her blanket and covered her head to ignore him. With his one arm he bent down and jerked it off. She quickly sat up looking furious.

"Just because I lost my arm didn't mean I lost my will to live and fight for the sword once more."

"You'll never understand, you're a guy!"

When she got up and walked by he grabbed her arm. Tears ran down her face.

"Like I said, you're a guy, you'll never understand the hearts of girls. When you struck me....it was like I felt my heart breaking. I was only talking about your father, nothing else. It's not something that I should be punished for. If you didn't want to talk about your father then you should've just said it was a sensitive subject."

Sesshoumaru had to say it back to himself in the back of his mind to register what she had just said. They could both feel the taut tension that was suspended between them. He finally gave up in thinking it was her fault. He was the one who overreacted. He sighed.

"I apologize for my rash behavior at that time. I was already troubled by things I have to deal with here."

He heard her sharp intake of breath.

"I've got to think about this. If I'm needed, send a servant to the bath houses."

She pulled her arm free from his hand and proceeded to gather things left behind that Kagome had given her for bathing. Shesshoumaru had headed out of her room and went to his study. Was it me or did I feel a change in her mood, like she.........was going to forgive me?

He's not the kind of youkai that will apologize easily, I wonder what has gotten into him. Is it...because I left this place and he didn't know where I was.....Or was it something else? She thought of another reason, but she shook it off just as quickly as she thought of it. She knew he wasn't in love with anybody. He was just treating her like a sibling.

"I'd figure that you would be here after being stuck in that room for two weeks."

"Kate, I'm sorry."

"Naw, it's okay. I know how you get when someone precious lashes back at you and hurts you mentally."

"Yeah-wait a minute! Are you calling me mental?!"

"You gotta be when you fall in love with an asshole like him."

"I-I am not in love with him!"

Kate jumped into the hotspring next to Jessica's.

"Are to."

"Whatever. I don't care anymore."

"I haven't seen you this way since the day after your mom died."

Jessica took a fruit from one of the fruit baskets that lay beside the hotspring and bit into it, then tossed at Kate. It hit her square in the forehead.

"Ow! I guess you're getting your spark back."

"My god. how did I ever make a friend out of you?"

"Remember that yinyang thing in the human world or the future era?"

"Oh yeah, everyone has to have an opposite to stay in balance. Like you're clumsy and I have less spills."

"Tru-wait! What did you just say? Well, at least I recover with grace!"

Author's Note:Okay this is actually pretty good that I got writer's block out of the way of this fanfic.....for now at least. Sometimes I get writer's block at bad times, like this summer. I'm glad I'm finally getting reviews for this fanfic, it makes me feel good inside and tells me that all my hard work wasn't for nothing. For a few days I've been sitting at this computer witha bowl of ramen in front of me(and numerous other snacks) trying to get ideas. I originally write this on paper just in case my sister messes this stuff up for me, but I'm ahead on typing and haven't even gotten most of this chapter on paper yet. I'm about ready to kill my brother for leaving popcorn on my room floor while playing the ps2. Grrr, I'll sankonketsou his but for this!>.<I hear little Ewoks on the ps2 game. How Kawaiiiiii!

silveraliora: Thanks! As for Jaken explaining things....Sesshoumaru hates talking to Kate, Infact he hates her guts but he won't kill her because of Jessica. Oh yeah (Blushing) My name is Jessica too. But I'm glad to hear there's another Jessica that loves Sesshi as much as I do. But you just don't see that name in fanfics too much. I just am random about my writing.
