A/n: Hello, this is my third installment of Magic Men. Please R&R and tell me what you think. I would like to take this time and recommend a story that you probably already heard of and it's pretty old, but it's good. It's Broken Horn by Renko-Chan.(Really great description of scenes. Great way of displaying Inuyasha characters as well as her fanmade ones.) She is also a great artist and I hope that you review her stories as well as her art. I would also like to recommend Love's Perfect Matchby angelabovefaith (Sweet and cute cliché high school fic) and Submission by InuGrrl. (Awesome writing style in this fic and some great lemon) That's just my recent interests, but not my only. Tell me if you have some offers on good fic on here. Enjoy!
Chapter III: For A Cause
Later on in the court room, InuYasha was frantically trying to memorize the closing statement. Then he looked over to a woman in a yellow flower sundress walk in and he was suprised at who it was.
"Kikyo!"
Kikyo looked to see who shouted her name and then she saw Inuyasha and ran through the low wooden gate that seperated them.
"InuYasha!" She wrapped her arms around his neck then kissed him passionately.
Kagome just happened to turn around and find the two spouses tonguing like newlyweds. Kagome was almost about to cry but she held it in and turned away from them.
"Kikyo, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to show you that I do care about your work."
" You know you have no businnes being here."
"After the things you said to me last night, how I didn't care. From now on, I'll support you."
InuYasha just sighed.
Damn!
"Alright, but you have to go sit over there."
"Alright." She kissed him on the cheek. Then Kikyo went over and sat down in the pew like seats.
The baliff stood straight up in his brown officer like outfit.
"The case of Marbarho Kawamoto Vs. The National Bank of Japan number 258 is now in session.The honarable Judge Itsuki presiding" the baliff belowed.
Then a woman with young features came out in a black robe and sat behind the bench. "Alright, this is the last time we are here and the prosecution and defense boards will present their closing arguements. Prosecution, please forward." Judge Itsuki said as she nodded towards a small man with a brown suit and red bow tie.
He walked bow-leggedly up to the middle of the court facing the jury. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury we know that this man has robbed the bank and attempted murder to the young clerk who is struggling with her now open wound to the chest......" The small prosecutor continued to talk, but all InuYasha could think of was Kikyo and Kagome.
How am I to settle this? Okay, Kagome is a sweet, loving person that cares more about me than life itself than I have Kikyo who I've known for practically all my natural born life, I love her, but not in the way I used to love her, but she's pregnant and I can't have my seed walk this earth without both his mother and father. InuYasha didn't want what happen to him happen to his child. He would try and be a better father than his deceased one. My father left me and my mother to go and tend to a whole other family who neither of us even knew about. I'll never leave my child. Then a feminine voice broke his thoughts.
"Mr. Taisho!?"
InuYasha looked to the judge. "Yes, Judge Itsuki."
"Your closing statement, please."
"Oh, yeah of course, and might I had you look rather ravishing."
"I don't take kindly to ass kissing, Mr. Taisho."
He frowned.
"But I do appreciate it and I thank you." The judge added
InuYasha smiled and proceeded to the spot that the prosecutor just held about thirty minutes ago.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, might I add your looking good also. I am here today representing a man who just wanted to cash a check. He just wanted to....."
Then InuYasha cell phone began to ring in his pocket.
He stiffened then looked over to Miroku who's hand was over his face shaking his head in shame and Kagome was mouthing him to answer the phone. He reached into his pocket and answered it.
"Hello, Mr. Taisho speaking."
"Hi, it's me Sango. They have me up here in a dark gritty jail cell."
InuYasha eyes widened and looked up at the judge.
"Mr. Taisho, this isn't an AT&T commericial." The judge informed
"One minute, Judge. This call is important."
"If it isn't about somebody dying then hang up."
InuYasha looked up at the judge. "In fact, it is about somebody dying, it's my new client."
Judge Itsuki was lost for words and the only one she could find was "Oh"
Inuyasha turned his attention to Sango. "Okay, please continue, Sango."
"They're saying they have somebody who ratted me out and that it if I were to confess they would take five years off but either way it goes I'm going to jail."
"They're just bluffing to get you to confess"
"Well, it worked."
"What?!" InuYasha yelled then lowered his voice as he realized he was still in court before he continued. "What are you talking about?"
"Well, I confessed."
"What exactly did you say?"
"I said I killed him."
InuYasha looked into the air and sighed. "No. No. No. I can't believe you acutally did that."
"That means I'm going to jail."
"We can figure this out it's other ways."
"So I might have a chance."
"Of course. Now I'll be down there later tonight, but I have to hang up because I'm in court."
"Okay, thank you, InuYasha."
"No problem always here to help." Then he hung up his cell phone and placed it back into the pocket. "Alright as I was saying before I was interrupted. Oh yeah....." Then InuYasha began to finish up is arguement.
"Alright, we've heard both of the closing arguements along with a call."
Then the judge scowled InuYasha. He smiled nervously
"The jury will diliberate and come back with a verdict. Until then there will be a recess." Then Judge Itsuki walked off the bench then into the judges chamber.
Later on InuYasha was drinking from a water fountain that was placed in the long marble hallway of the court house. He heard familiar footsteps and inhaled a familiar smell of peaches and cream. He looked to see Kagome walk by him.
"Hey, Kagome wait up." He walked up to Kagome who didn't acknowledge that he was talking to him. "What's your problem, Kagome?"
She stopped, turned on her heel, and walked up to him. "My problem is Kikyo. I saw you kissing her like she was your life supply right infront of me."
"Kagome, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done...." Then InuYasha stopped. "Hold up, I don't have to apologize. Why are you mad at me because I kissed my wife?"
"I'm not mad at the fact that you kissed you wife. I'm mad because your kissing me and your wife."
InuYasha sighed. He then embraced Kagome.
"I know it's hard, Kagome."
She then began to cry into his chest. "I can't stand loving you when I can't have you. I sometimes even think that you don't love me."
InuYasha pulled back then looked deep into her eyes.
"I do love, Kagome. I want this to work but I'm struggling and I just need support right now."
Kagome smiled and nodded as she embraced him.
"InuYasha?" a voice said.
He turned around to find his wife looking in disbelief at the sight she was seeing.
"Kikyo." He whispered softly.
"Why do I even bother?" Kikyo said and walkd off.
"Kikyo..wait." InuYasha said as he ran off to her.
"Inuyasha!? Where are you....." Kagome just sighed. "Why do I even bother?" She just left and walked the opposite way.
Later on in the court room. InuYasha looked around searching for Kikyo but couldn't seem to find her. Then he looked over to find that Kagome was also gone.
"Miroku, do you know where Kagome and Kikyo are."
Miroku shook his head.
Then the jury master stood up in the jury and began to read a piece of paper. "For the charges of robbery and attempted muder we the jury find the defendant...."
The court room was quiet and the anitcipation was high.
"Not guilty."
InuYasha and Miroku smiled and nodded to each other.
Marbarho turned to to his two lawyers and shook their hands. "Thank you, Mr. Taisho. Thank you, Mr. Houshi. I'm a free man thanks to you."
Inuyasha smiled and then realized that they were doing a job that had a cause. They weren't cheatin men and they weren't lying men, they were men who helped and supported those who needed it
